The movie was slow and a little boring. Like a B class movie that didnt quite make it... I wanted to see Taylor Dayne... Maybe not her best film and there was no singing either.

Following its 1932 introduction by the Eastman Kodak company, the 8mm home movie film format became the cheaper alternative to shooting 16mm. By the 1950s, 8mm was the preferred format, whether to record junior's 3rd birthday party, a family's vacation travelogue, or a big-breasted burlesque dancer's erotic strip-tease. Guess which one evolved into marketable commodity? Suddenly these 8mm nudie films, known as 'loops' or 'stags' and featured topless and scantily clad women in semi-erotic poses, so the stag loops were a natural compliment. Typical mail order loops were 50-foot reels that ran for a few minutes. And the women? They were delectable, knockout beauties with big boobs... typical late 50s, early 60s girls wearing tight toreador pants, big hair, and risque lingerie, and sometimes less... Over 6 hours of footage! This was a movie that was rather difficult to watch due to its subject matter. (incest) However, it was expertly handled, as a ranch hand newly hired to a place discovers the secret between his new boss and the boss's daughter. If you can make it through the first part of the movie, you might be able to make it through the entire thing. I liked it.

Recently saw STAG and thought it was very well done. Not into the violence, but the strong performances carries it along. Fun to see Taylor Dayne acting, John Henson as the gay character & Lawrence Leritz as the cop at the end of the movie (also have his video Total Stretch!). Great unsual casting!

GREAT "FORGOTTEN" MOVIE!.......2000-04-25

Filmed almost completely inside a house, this movie is almost a play, about a party with two guest girls that goes terribly wrong, and the characters fight to hide what happened, with fear of their reputations. THe dialogues are fantastic, the rhythm is absorbing, McCarthy is great, Stockwell is great. Onle the conclusion is a little bit weak.

This was a great flick that I caught on Showtime time one night. Stellar performances by John Stockwell and John Henson and a brilliant and convincing performance by long-time m.i.a. Andrew McCarthy as one of the childhood friends now drug-dealer and organizer of the stag party 'entertainment'. A suprisingly good performance by the 80's pop icon Taylor Dane - who knew she could act?

Marilyn Monroe never, EVER made a stage film. Any one who claims different is doing some wishful thinking. As to whether Joe DiMaggio paid $25G for it- he was psycho with jealousy and rage if a movie featured a MM look-alike he might buy it just to protect her and keep it to himself. Marilyn herself said she never made a stag film, the picture looks nothing like her, and countless people have proved it wasn't her in any of the films. Don't fall for it people!

Really Marilyn?.......2007-03-02

I wonder what film is stored at the Erotic Museum. The one of the three films that look the most like Marilyn, in my opinion, is the second film. That one has been stated as being acted by Arline Hunter. It is a much better quality and is more believable as it is primarily a tease film with poses like Marilyn made in her career. The other two simply do not look like Marilyn and the quality is so extremely bad, it is doubtful anyone could be certain. Also it seems doubtful that anyone filming would do it with such poor equipment. A stage film is shot to be seen. The first and third film are basically unwatchable.

Arline Hunter is not in this film! Marilyn Monroe is Not in this film either! This is an ongoing legend. The woman in the film is not as pretty as Arline or Marilyn. Buyer BEWARE. I can't believe Amazon is listing this TRASH!

Maybe, maybe not?.......2006-06-10

The first reviewer is wrong... and right about this DVD. ONE of the films is Arline Hunter and the back of the box says that, but there are two other movies on this disc. The actress in the main film has long been reported to be Marilyn Monroe and it is the film that her ex-husband offered $25,000 for. I does look like her, so who knows? She did do nude modeling. This movie also was screened by the AFI, discussed by the FBI, in the collection of the Erotic Museum of Hollywood and made headlines in 1980 when stills from it were featured in Penthouse and forign editions of Playboy and other magazines. The 3rd film on the disc looks little like Marilyn, but it was once circulated as a "Marilyn Movie" so it was also included for the heck of it. The Arline Hunter film with the coke bottle IS on this disc, but there are 2 other films that are not her.

The visiual quality of the movies is as good as any other old stag look or "nudie cutie". They are grainy and scratched prints. I was surprized that the disc was a dvd-r, but according to the owner of the original film, this was the only affordable format to make since there was not a big market for the movie. The dvd menu looks a little cheap, but these are rare films and a good price, so there's not much room for complaints.

Please, DO NOT BUY THIS DVD. This is NOT Marilyn Monroe. It is in fact, Arline Hunter. It sickens me that this film is being sold simply to cash in on Marilyn's name. You can view screen captures from this film all over the web. Any true Marilyn fan will instantly see that the woman in this movie is NOT Marilyn.

Best kept secret.......2006-05-02

If you like movies like pulp fiction, reservior dogs, you'll like stag. It's brillant, having a good time and a good party can go really bad and no one is allow to leave the party until it's over. panic, finger pointin, it reminds me of "very bad things" another crazy flick when guys go to vagas to have a bachelor party and things get out of hand, very bad, but good movie and funny. Check this one out it's a keeper.
