Israel is a magnificent arranger and producer. His music has always been fantastic. However, there seems to be problems with his video shoots. His last one,Going to another level, he almost got me dizzy with the camera shots going all over the place. This one, the video and audio doesn't always line up. Besides that, it's a cool dvd. Don't expect anything different (in terms of music)from the cd though, it's about the same thing

My little 7 month old grandson loved it...as well as his 4 year old brother and 6 year old sister! They especially like the children's voices. You can change who sings. Amazing. Good choice of music that touches the soul, no matter the age!

I can not say enough good things about this DVD collection. We purchased it when our son was a newborn. We had it playing a lot during those first few months. The music is so uplifting and encouraging. When the time came that he was interested in TV, NOTHING captivated his attention like these DVD's. He is 10 months old now and when he hears the first note of music, he stops what he is doing and crawls within sight of the TV. He LOVES these. I recommend them to every expectant mother and those with small children. I would say this is one of my top 3 things I would not want to be without when baby #2 comes along.

My 9 month old son is not interested in the Baby Einstein movies at all...so I was a little skeptical about these. I bought the CD for the car (God of Wonders) and he loved it so much I thought...why not buy the DVDs. He really likes seeing the other babies on the screen...he even waved at one last night! So cute! This is a great alternative to Baby Einstein...and it has wonderful Christian songs!! I cannot wait for them to come out with more!

Great concert, frenetic video editing.......2007-05-14

I feel a bit of an outsider reviewing this since I am neither a contemporary Christian nor religious, but I love good music regardless. I first heard the end chorus of the song "Wonderful God" while channel surfing on the radio and thought it was remarkably beautiful. After tracking down the artist and album, I purchased the CD. The suite of songs from Track 5 through 7 ("Emmanuel" to "All I Need Is You") is absolutely gorgeous and I was curious to see the group in concert, so I bought this DVD. The performances are great and the songwriting is excellent throughout. The sound is good considering the great number of performers involved: the primary band, strings, brass, soloists ("worship leaders"), and large choir: a real surround "Wall of Sound". There are three songs here that are not on the CD, and the end to "There Is Nothing Like" is not faded out early on the DVD like it was on the CD.

The problem I have with the DVD is the insanely frenetic video editing in most of the tracks (1 - 4, 9, 13 - 16). Another Amazon reviewer so aptly called this annoyance CADD (camera attention deficit disorder). It is simply exhausting to watch. For example, Track 3, "Salvation Is Here", has 178 camera changes, and the song is only 4:26 minutes long (266 seconds). Do the math: that's less than 1.5 seconds per scene! This is absurd. I can't believe the Hillsong Church members approved this. In most scenes, the cameras are always moving. There are also way too many scenes from cameras zooming over the crowd from aerial cables. Give it a rest! Likewise, there are too many shots of the audience and far too many shots of hands held high. I realize this is a religious experience and everyone is in some state of rapture and bliss, but I don't need to see it every 10 seconds. I paid to see the performers perform, not the audience singing every word with their arms in the air and tears of ecstasy running down their faces. Also, on Track 1, the artsy effects of superimposing laser light squiggles, word graphics, and pages of text is really distracting and only subtracts from the concert experience.

The picture quality is okay. Some of the fast moving scenes break up into pixels. Interestingly, the scenes of the concert in the bonus documentary are much sharper and cleaner than the main concert footage. I would recommend the DVD only for those who feel the need to share the group religious experience, but for the mainstream concertgoer, too much of it is annoying. Thankfully, the beautiful suite of songs, "Saviour", "Wonderful God", "God He Reigns / All I Need Is You", was spared much of the CADD curse. So, in summary, 5 stars for the music and performance, but only 1 star for the video, because after all, this is ultimately not supposed to be about cameras, technology, and special effects, is it?

NO REGRETS!.......2007-01-10

I tend to be hesitant buying a DVD I have no clue about; however, this was an exception. Wow...I could watch this DVD over and over again-day after day! One of THE BEST items I could have purchased in my life. Darlene Zschech and the Hillsong band are the most inspirational and Spirit-led worshippers I have seen. They have composed some of their best songs in this DVD and I was so moved and captivated by the concert. It's a range of their upbeat music along with slower, worshipful songs. I believe there are two bonus songs on this DVD not found on their God He Reigns CD. I went on to purchase their chord sheets (based off of this DVD) to play a few of their songs in my church.

The Hillsongs Group have a wonderful gift. There voices are remarkable and I admire their intentions of worship and praise. I heard a few of the tracks before I bought the DVD but seeing the live concert was the icing on the cake. I would recommend anyone to purchase this product. I watch and listen to it on most mornings because it fills me with inspiration and a happy feeling, the feeling and belief that God is in Contol. Really nice DVD.....

Great buy! The music is soothing to babies and uplifting to the Mom at the same time. The images of the other children and animals keep my 17 month's old attenion. She enjoys watching them. After using Baby Einstein for the past 15 months with my baby I was delighted to learn of a christian alternative. This DVD was just as good as the others that came out before it. It was refreshing to see new scenes. My 2 year old loves the cartoon Elephant and asks for the Elephant worship when he wants to see the DVD. It was nice that most of the taping was done outdoors and the special effects with the double images were catchy (at first I thought "how many twins are in this new Praise Baby?"). I do recommend it, I enjoyed it as much as my boys did. Whether or not you have the previous Praise Baby DVDs, this one is a must.

I know the movie was made almost 30 years ago.However it definately portrayed sexual understanding or lack of it in some cases based on experience and individual maturity.A little far fetched but an entertaining movie.Most men and some women knows someone like the main charachter.

I saw this movie over 20 years ago on the Playboy channel and was surprised that it wasn't your basic porn movie. It actually had a story about a guy's early history of gaining experience from and learning about love with older women. I never forgot this movie and I have seemed to have paralleled this guy's life in many ways.

I bought the Platinum print of this DVD. The print quality is just so so, with ok sound. And there is chapter skipping at the beginning and ending credits of the movie. So 4 stars for this DVD.

In Praise Of Older Women: Sex Education By Trial And Error........2005-01-22

In this movie, a young Tom Berenger portrays a young man in Post-World War II Hungary who falls in and out of love with numerous older women. His character's infatuation with older women begins as a child during the war, when he loses his virginity to a middle-aged prostitute. From there, he moves to Budapest to go to college, and moves in with an older woman, portrayed by Karen Black. They fall in love with each other. Then the woman's best friend, portrayed by Canadian stage actress and artist Marilyn Lightstone, joins them in social events. Eventually, Ms. Lightstone's character seduces Berenger's character, and in a memorable scene of seduction, she entices him to have sex with her on the living room floor. But Ms. Black's character catches them in the act, and she breaks up with Berenger's character and kicks him out. Berenger then falls in love with a female resistance leader during the 1956 Hungarian Crackdown by Russian troops and tanks. She departs for deep cover, and Berenger's character emigrates to Canada. It is there that he begins a relationship with a woman more closer to his age, portrayed by a young Helen Shaver. Eventually they engage in a erotic strip scene before having sex together. But they end up breaking up also. At the end of the film, Berenger is now a teacher, who sets up a date with a younger female student, and the film ends. The eroticism is very good in this film, but it leaves you wanting more. For me, Marilyn Lightstone, despite her little screen time, stole the spotlight with her eroticism and her sexy body. Helen Shaver shows that she is willing to put out in a movie, also. She would go on to even greater levels of eroticism in the movie "Desert Hearts". Unfortunately, Tom Berenger never lived up to the potential to be a "leading man" actor that this film showed promise of when it was made. Instead, he was confined to character roles, such as in the movie "Gettysburg". But this film gives the viewer a glimpse of what Tom Berenger could have been had mainstream Hollywood had given him his chance to shine.

Definitely Not As Expected.......2007-06-02

I purchased this item elsewhere (because Shekinah Glory gave a splendid rendition of Praise is What I Do in the past, and I thought based on the past, this dvd should be wonderful. Little did I know! Needless to say, until now I've avoided watching it in its entirety for several reasons. Yes--it's a live recording, but the entire thing is so disorganized. In their attempt to outdo each other, individual choir members appear to scream at the top of their lungs, often belting out songs that are out of tune and completely unenjoyable. Then this goes on for hours with no spiritual endowment and substance whatsoever. Randomly singing songs in order to fill the gap (so to speak),and being overall repetitive. One song would last for what appears to be in excess of 30 mins.

After enduring this segment, there's another that had people sprawled out on the floor and it was now at a point where everything was totally confusing and chaotic. Realizing how much time was already wasted, I couldn't tolerate it any more, (neither could my children) so we quit watching. I am somehow led to wonder about the other reviewers--hopefully they aren't all members from that same church. 4-5 stars? No Way! I wish I could've given it zero stars. This purchase was a costly mistake! Buyer beware!!

Great DVD and CD. You can watch the praise or listen to it on the road and the effect will be the same. I enjoyed the anniversary celebration of the Shekinah Glory Ministry Church. I praised God with the congregation and I felt like I was there. Guaranteed enjoyment.

We started watching this to calm my older baby on a long car ride, but then found that he loved it so much we watched more often. My 3 year old began memorizing words to worship songs and at 4 is still happy to watch it with toddler brother (who asks for it more often than is probably good to be staring at a screen!) I enjoy that my car is filled with songs I want in my head, and in my children's heads, rather than just silly Wiggles music or even Silly Songs with Larry (which can just drive you batty sometimes)

Our 13 month old son LOVES this DVD! He doesn't watch TV at home, but on long car rides, we'll pop this in as a treat. The music is beautiful. My husband and I enjoy listening to it as he enjoys the visuals as well. The images are mostly "real" kids, nature scenes, and animals. We received this as a gift and have loved it! This is a great alternative to the Einstein videos if you're looking for one with Christian music. We've just purchased the other two for a little variety. :)

This is the first DVD I've purchased for my 41/2 month old daughter. I must say I was extremely pleased with the music and the way it caught my little one's attention! She watched almost the whole thing, about 25 minutes!! I was wondering how good the music was going to be. I would actually buy the CD and listen to it in the car anytime. I thought it was going to be cheesy music, but it is actually really good! I would recommend this DVD.

My daughter is 14 months old and has been watching this DVD for a few months now. It is by far her favorite. I tried a few other movies baby genius, baby faith and a few cartoons. Nothing held her attention like baby praise. from the time it starts untill its over she will not move. She seeems to be amazed by every thing in it. I think for her the biggest difference between baby praise and other movies/shows is that it sings all the way thru the entire movie, and she loves music. For me the best part is, it is educational, it sends a positive message, and it is only about 30 mins long. I personally dont want my daughter to be glued to the tv for long periods of time.

Cece Winans has to be the most talented and versatile gospel artist out there today. Hey, I know to all the Yolanda Adams and Karen Clark Sheard fans, you may beg to differ, but once you obtain this DVD you will understand a little more what I'm saying. You can feel the love and deep anointing come straight from your DVD to your heart. Just fast forward to "Beautiful" first and then start back at the beginning. If Bebe Winans was on this joint it would just be to explosive to watch. Cece looks so stunning and listen to the background singers because they are no joke! They hit every note that Cece does and thats outstanding for any group whether gospel or R&B. I purchased first recording that was done in New York and I was disappointed because of how dark and dreary everything looked. This is not the case on "The Throne Room" It's wonderful! It a blessing and to see her children growing up and sharing the stage makes it that much better. You will not be disappointed when you get this one.

Anointing Overflow.......2006-07-21

This DVD is simply an overflow and a taste of what true worship is like. It's genuine and humbling. Cece is sincere and passionate and it truly shows in this DVD. I was just thankful that she did this DVD and I was fortunate enough to come across it and purchase it. It's one of the best things I could have done all year for my faith in 2006. THRONE ROOM to say the least is an overflow of the anointing on Cece poured into an hour and a half of recording. Refreshingly anointed***.

This is how a concert should be filmed! Stunning lighting, direction, audio, band, etc. A very pleasing mix of wide shots, side shots, walk-around shots, over audience shots, and many stunning close-up shots. It could not have been filmed or directed any better!

CeCe is backed by a talented 6 piece jazz/rock band and three vocalists. This group is fabulous and I expecially enjoyed the Hammand B3 keyboard player, but all are great. The music is gospel/jazz/rock style with some inspiring slower pieces but many uptempo pieces as well that get Cece and the audience dancing and jumping and whatever, all in praise to God.

The addition of a group of young dancers on some songs (choreographed by Cece's son I believe) adds to the spirit and fun. Also included is a well made behind-the-scenes bonus clip that shows all of the hard work and detail that went into putting the large stage and show together. It really made me appreciate the work involved!

It must be said that CeCe is not just stunningly beautiful and radiant, but also truly humble and this is shown in the very ending of the concert when the band takes the final last bars of music to close the show, in a fabulous energetic musical ending (watch the drummer!). CeCe has graciously stepped aside almost off stage, to let the band shine here. She could have stayed out front, but instead she stepped out of the spotlight and let the band have their moment of glory, and I know of really no other concert I've seen where a lead singer has ever done the same thing! CeCe- you are so wonderfull!

As with some of the other DVD's CeeCee does not include some of her more popular selection in this repertoire. The video editing is very good and is a classy product.

High Octane!!!.......2005-12-28

One of the most anticipated DVDs of 2004, CeCe Winans delivers a superb bevy of greatest hits and more on "Live in the Throne Room." Her voice is amazing and her band led by Luther "Mano" Hanes (Fred Hammond's co-keyboardist), organist Ernest Dayce, guitarist Rick Watford (from the movie "The Fighting Temptations" and Kevin Bond & The G.A.M.E.), percussionist Javier Solis (from Israel & New Breed), LaDell Abrams (one of the baddest drummers ever) and bassist Sharay Reed exercised so much energy in the Cornerstone Church in Madison, TN. This dvd is so detailed and the effects of it make you feel like you are right in the heart of the worship experience. CeCe has blossomed from a neo-contemporary artist to a psalmist as she invokes the presence of God from start to finish. After the band enhances her stage entrance with their fabulous instrumental intro, her smash from 1998, "Well Alright" begins the set with its jaunty jazz structure and stylish arrangements. For the most part, every song was portrayed exceptionally well, featuring CeCe's son, Alvin Love's slick choreography with his dance team comprised of youth ranging from ages 12 to 22. Also, the backing vocals of Leanne Palmore, Jerard Woods (lead singer of the Colorado Mass Choir's single "Speak Life") and BET's 2004 Gospel Dream winner Benita Washington are astonishing. There is so much in this album to pay attention to! I rank this album alongside greats like "Out The Box" and "Live From Another Level." Still, CeCe Winans' imprint on the contemporary gospel music scene has been evident in the work ethic she's had for over 20 years in this industry. She's a pioneer in her own right and what makes this album special is the free atmosphere of worship permeating exceedingly through it. From the heartfelt testimony of her brother Ronald Winans (R.I.P.), prior to singing "Mercy Said No," to the enthusiastic "Hallelujah Praise" and benediction song, "Live in the Throne Room" will absolutely floor you!!! Anyone who doesn't have this DVD, go get it!!!

We LOVE this whole series of DVD's. Our 13 month-old son never watches TV at home, but on long car trips, these are life savers! The music is beautiful and soothing and the images are great. He loves the "real" pictures of children, animals, and nature scenes. We received the "God of Wonders" as a gift, and have since purchased the other two. These are a great alternative to the Einstein videos if you want Christian music along with the videos.

Love This DVD!!.......2006-03-24

Our five month old has been watching this DVD since he was 2 1/2 months old. He loves this "show" and is glued to the screen for the entire DVD! This is a superior DVD and great for his age range. The "show" starts right away (as opposed to Baby Einstein DVDs with "commercials" and plugs for Disney)...so if he's cranky it helps that images (and the music) appear on the screen quickly. The DVD is produced so that the screen is never blank - there is always one image morphing into another. This really seems to hold his attention. The music is continuous and is very uplifting.
We are completely satisfied with this DVD and are really quiet amazed at how well it holds our baby's attention. We look forward to purchasing other DVDs in the PB collection.

We have 2 videos from this collection and my son loves them both. I love them too - the music is wonderful! So it's a win-win all the way around!

Calming, positive, enjoyable.......2005-12-07

I have an 18 month old boy and a 3 year old girl. This is the video I put in when I want to rest and cuddle with my son - it is very calming and peaceful, and he seems captivated by it. My daughter had always enjoyed it as well, and now sings along with many of the songs. While I would agree with some reviewers who say that the images aren't directly educational or necessarily related to the music like some other dvds out there, that doesn't bother me. I like that the images aren't as fast paced as some of the Baby Einstein shows, and I especially like the fact that my children are learning some of the praise songs we sing in church. Also, the vocals and instrumentals don't drive me nuts like much of the music that is geared for children - I actually enjoy hearing it in the background and singing along with it!

I'm happy to correct Henry III - PraiseBaby DVDs are *not* learning development tools. They never claim to be. But since day 1 (I speak figuratively) my son Kenny - since two months old and well on up to his current fourteen months - has been enraptured with the colours and the children and the music and the animals of the PraiseBaby DVDs. They're doing what's ultimately important in the lives of our children - instilling a passion for God's creation and by extension a passion for God himself. As important as learning development is, it's a moot point if a child is not learning about our Saviour, which is taught in every PraiseBaby DVD. My Kenny takes a PraiseBaby DVD over Baby Einstein any day of the week and I'm glad of it.

I just bought this for my daughter and it is pretty cute. I love how she can learn all the old Sunday school songs from when I was a child. It shows lots of children in the video. It is not a very long video but long enough for my daughter. You can't do much better for $7

I can't give it the 5 stars because I can only give that to Hillsongs Kids praise DVDs so far - you need to check them out!
