A perennial Nielsen ratings topper, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation shows no signs of losing creative momentum in its sixth season. The 24 episodes are taut, fascinating, and gruesome; that killer combination fulfills the promise this CBS series has shown since its inception. In its sixth year, the show delves into the characters' personal lives more so than in previous seasons, adding more dimension and truth to the roles. We see the looks exchanged between head investigator Gil Grissom (William Petersen) and his underling Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) and learn the true nature of their relationship. Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) works on a case involving her estranged father that may land him behind bars. And partially in response to Nick Stokes' (George Eads) kidnapping last season, Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan) impetuously marries his girlfriend, much to the chagrin of Catherine. The personal vignettes are never at the expense of the twisted cases, which include a murder attempt on a fading Vegas beauty (Faye Dunaway), siblings affected by hypertrichosis (excessive hair growth), and the return of Lady Heather (Melinda Clarke) in a startling episode penned by author Jerry Stahl (i>Permanent Midnight. But the season's most compelling storyline features straightforward detective Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle), who is embroiled in a shootout in a poor, Hispanic neighborhood. The racial tension between the police and the residents is thick and menacing, and no one is sure who is in the right.
The main problem with CSI also is something that can't be prevented. In order to clue viewers in to some of the complicated procedures the investigators are undertaking, the characters habitually explain to each other why they're performing a certain test or checking for other components. They're scientists and already know why. The special features include audio commentary on six episodes. One of the most interesting (and funny) featurettes is the sound editor explaining how he utilizes vegetables to enhance autopsy scenes--and then later uses the leftovers for snacks. --Jae-Ha Kim

CSI, the 6th season.......2007-05-25
It's the best CSI season! Every character is even better than before, the cases extremely interesting.
Didn't seem to be relevant .......2007-05-15
to the characters. Someone gets married and two start seeing each other. The stories just weren't that great!
Another Winning Season from My Favorite TV Show.......2007-05-14
I rarely watch television, but I absolutely love CSI. I usually end up with so many other things going on through the year that I can't watch it on a weekly basis, so I always purchase the boxed DVD sets when they become available. Man, was I in for a ride with Season 6!
All I can say is that my favorite characters are even better this time around, with more emotional storylines and personal issues to deal with. My favorite episdoes, by far, of Season 6 are "Gum Drops," dealing with the disappearance of a family of four, and "Pirates of the Third Reich," which deals with the horrendous murder of Lady Heather's daughter.
This season, more than any other before it (with, perhaps, the exception of C.S.I. Crime Scene Investigation - The Complete Fifth Season season finale), had me crying by the end of several episodes. I realize not everyone will have this type of reaction, but I do want to stress that Season 6 seemed to really pull on the heartstrings.
The only complaint I have about this season? Nick's choice of hairstyle, which really shouldn't be an issue at all, but which distracted me on numerous occasions by its sheer lack of any redeeming qualities!!
CSI the sixth season.......2007-05-10
Good had a lot of episodes I missed don't know how but I did
Still going strong.......2007-04-18
Ive seen all six seasons of CSI and have yet to be disappointed. A great show that never grows old. There are a few quirks that I had about this season: Where is Catherine's kid? It was a little cheesey when in a few epsiodes when they said "Get me CSI", it just seemed out of place for a classy show like this. Still a great season, all the seasons are fantastic.

The nation's top-rated program got back to basics for its fourth season. The personal lives of the Las Vegas crime scene investigators would take more of a backseat to the stories themselves: the victims, the cases, the criminals. After a successful operation, William Peterson's Gil Grissom has regained his hearing--and his Manhunter-era beard--and is back in fighting form. "You're like your old self," Captain Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) notes in "All for Our Country." Just in time, as he'll soon be promoting one of his staff to lead CSI, and it's between Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) and Nick Stokes (George Eads). He also has a new politically minded sheriff with which to contend, Rory Atwater (24's Xander Berkeley). The latter will make his first of several appearances in "Invisible Evidence," while the results of Grissom's lead CSI decision will be revealed in "No More Bets."
That said, one CSI will enjoy a bit of a personal life this season--Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger), who'll begin seeing nightclub owner Chris Bezich (Nicholas Lea, Krycek from The X-Files) in "Early Rollout." The other CSIs, particularly the re-energized Grissom, will remain as married to their jobs as ever--although the latter's unspoken interest in Sara will be tested in "Butterflied."
Other episodes of note include "Feeling the Heat," with Stacy Edwards and Arye Gross, "Jackpot," with Henry Czerny and Re-Animator's Jeffrey Combs, and the instantly infamous "Fur and Loathing," which was written by Jerry Stahl (Permanent Midnight) and centers on the death of a "furry." As Grissom explains to Willows, "furries" are a "tribe of people who prefer to interact as furry animals." Stahl also penned "Getting Off," about the death of a clown, and continues to come up with some of this still-groundbreaking series' most colorful scenarios. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

Customer Reviews:
It's easy to love a series where you can tell..........2006-11-01
The writers put creativity and thought into the plots. CSI is by far one of the best tv shows that's ever graced the screen. The characters are excellent, great chemistry, wonderful dialogue and wit. Gruesome gory crimes that just scream realism. I absolutely LOVE CSI!
Once again .........a hit !.......2006-08-28
As usual C.S.I. is a hit in my book. The stories, chemistry and acting talent all work together to bring another great season of our favorite crime investegative crew. Jerry Bruckheimer has once again brought us a winner.
I should be great!.......2006-08-14
I haven't had a chance to start to see this collection, but I am sure it will be the same high quality as the other set- Jan
great show.......2006-08-07
I've seen CSI several times and have always meant to buy the DVDs. I haven't yet purchased this season, but I will.
The one episode in this season that really hooked me was Episode 8: After the Show. All of the previous reviewers failed to mention that this "high profile case" is based on a TRUE story....the death of model Linda Sobek, who was not only a model but a former cheerleader for the LA Raiders. The man who was "infatuated" with her was found guilty of her murder (he even led police to her shallow grave) and was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole.
CSI knows how to grip its audience with edge of the seat story lines. I've got a lot of catching up to do with purchasing these seasons so that I can continue to admire the show and its continuous perfection of how it captures each case/episode.
KILLING CLOWNS AND FURRY ANIMALS.......2006-07-03
In its fourth season, CSI focuses more on the crimes and their participants, although the regular cast does have some momentous moments: Grissom's surgery results; his involvement or lack of with Sarah, who starts manifesting her own personal crisis; and Catherine finds a new beau and a new paternal figure. As always, the series is ripe with intriguing plots, forensic facts, and crisp writing, editing and performances. Jorja Fox and Eric Szmanda continue to grow in their roles while Petersen, Helgenberger and Guilfoyle continue to provide the foundation of excellence for this always enjoyable series. On to Season 5!

Relaxing at the top of the Nielsen ratings, C.S.I. Crime Scene Investigation: The Complete Fifth Season stretched its legs a little to wander into the more grisly, more disturbing, and altogether more personal. "Down the Drain" showed the first overt romantic moment--in the form of a near-kiss--between Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) and Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan), which was discussed at length in the commentary and behind-the-scenes featurette as "a big moment." After that tease, the series pulled back and plunged into some of its most disturbing crimes yet. In "King Baby," a wealthy, middle-aged murder victim turns out to have lived as a baby, complete with adult-sized nursery; in "4x4," a personal trainer's face is eaten away from the inside out due to toxic mold in his house; in "Compulsion," a teen boy kills his younger brother for revealing that the older brother wets the bed.
The biggest change in this season is an HR one: new director Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann) splits up the team, making Willows a shift supervisor and causing friction between she and Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox). He also adds a new member, Sofia Curtis (Louise Lombard), to banter with Gil Grissom (William Petersen)'s team. The move doesn't dampen the show's pace, as most cases break the team into twosomes anyway. But it does add a new villain in Ecklie, all politics and PR versus Grissom's heart to protect his team. Meanwhile, other cases dig deeper into the personal demons of Sidle and Willows; and the season finale, a slam-bam two-parter handily directed by Quentin Tarantino, focuses on the kidnapping of Nick Stokes (George Eads), buried alive with fire ants. This episode, the most emotionally charged yet, brings the entire team together and shows why it's still the No. 1 show on television. --Ellen A. Kim
Customer Reviews:
Good, but chipped.......2007-06-03
I LOVED IT, and it came, I believe, a day sooner than projected. The case was chipped, in shipping, I presume, but I wanted to start watching the show. Thanks for the fast service!!
Finale unprecedented in TV; gripping, horrifying.......2007-03-03
This show has some of the best writing, directing and acting ever produced on TV, and its two-part finale, "Grave Danger," reached levels of greatness unprecedented on TV. Quentin Tarantino unflinchingly explores the darkest taboo themes in human nature, exploiting the worst fears. In this case, being buried alive. It was a masterstroke having Nick Stokes, the carefree resident he-guy playboy of the show, to be the victim. And for once, making a male the victim. In most of their cases, the CSI team commences with cool calm in assembling their evidence and in solving their murder cases; the repetitiveness of their jobs give them a certain immunity to the constant brutality of their work. But here we have Nick Stokes, drugged and placed into a plastic box underground. He has lost all control, and has no way out. Certain to face a slow, agonizing death. We see Nick flailing helplessly and screaming in sheer terror and panic. Watching this is like a real-life nightmare; if this does not leave you shivering, you're made of strong stuff. The implied claustrophobia is staggeringly suffocating: you are placed in the ground with Nick, and you feel his anticipation of the worst of what he knows is certain. Tarantino is a master at manipulative fear-tapping, and nowhere else will you experience such a terrifying identification as here. The director has the entire cast effectively on edge, some of them numbed into shocked silence, others totally freaked out. Highest honors, though, goes to George Eads for his completely unexpected virtuoso performance. He should have won an Emmy. Who would have expected Eads to go from an efficiently competent actor to one of dazzling range of depth? When was the last time any male character was made to seem so vulnerable, so helpless, so completely downright scared crapless? Eads screams and cries like a boy; his character's adult male control has been taken away from him, and the actor assails the viewer with an unspeakable sense of cold, clammy dread. A woman would react to this as a girlfriend and mother would, but speaking as a male, I cannot imagine a more sinister scenario (short of being castrated) than this. Most movie/tv situations has the male hero nearly always in control, or at least, having a means, a plan, a way out. Not here. It violates the standard dictum of the hero ingeniously conquering all, and therefore, it is a stunning innovation.
The one small cavil I have is that the end of the episode did not provide us to see a great emotional catharsis of Nick and the other characters in the final resolution. But that is a minor point. All told, this slow, clautrophobic agony of terror is one of TV's greatest moments.
CSI: Las Vegas Season 5.......2007-02-11
You can't go wrong with this season if you are a CSI: Las Vegas fan. Somehow the writers of this show just keep coming up with new and fresh ideas. There is nothing like the "original" CSI!

Murder, and its tale-telling aftermath, is the compelling subject of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Since it premiered on CBS on October 6, 2000, CSI was a ratings triumph, spawning a spinoff (CSI: Miami) and positioning itself for long-term success. As the first season demonstrates, creator Anthony Zuiker's foolproof formula was established early on, bolstered by a fine ensemble cast and requiring minimal tweaking as the season progressed; its Las Vegas-based "criminalists" eventually became "CSI" steeped in the scientific minutiae of forensic investigation, but the series arrived essentially intact, with an irresistible (and seemingly inexhaustible) supply of corpses and the mysteries that surround them. Influenced by the graphic precedent of movies like Seven and Kiss the Girls, CSI matches morbidity with dispassionate methodology; viewers are so fascinated by the investigative process that they're unfazed by intimate autopsies and internal (i.e., digitally animated) views of traumatized flesh, bone, and sinew.
While keeping abreast of cutting-edge technologies, CSI combines the ingenuity (and fallibility) of villains with the appealing humanity of its heroes. CSI director and entomologist Gil Grissom (played by series coproducer William Petersen) is introverted but ethically intense; he's both mentor and moral compass for his night-shift team, including a former stripper-turned-CSI (Marg Helgenberger); a recovering gambler (Gary Dourdan); an eager ace (George Eads) with room for improvement; a workaholic (Jorja Fox) who can't always remain emotionally detached from her cases; and a chief detective (Paul Guilfoyle) who's a necessary link to police procedure. Like The X-Files, CSI supports its characters with feature-film production values, employing a Rashomon structure that turns murder into a progressively accurate study of cause and effect. Script quality is consistently high ("Blood Drops" and "Unfriendly Skies" are exceptional), direction is slick and sophisticated, and the mysteries are complex enough to invite multiple viewings. Despite a regrettable shortage of DVD features, CSI's inaugural season remains addictively worthy of its lofty reputation. --Jeff Shannon

C.S.I. Crime Scene Investigation - The Complete First Season
Excitement every second!
CSI is GREAT!.......2007-05-17
I am a new CSI fan - saw a few of the 6th season on TV and then rented most of the 4th season from the video store. I just LOVED the show so I has to get in on it from the beginning. I have now seen the 1st - 4th seasons and just got the 5th. It's a great show, love the science and human aspects of each espisode and watching the development of the characters. Good job Jerry Bruckheimer - you have another winner!!
Greatest show ever.......2007-04-15
Ive seen basically ever show on the telly, and none can compare to this show. The characters are well done and all fun to watch. William Peterson as Gil Grissom is my probably my faviorte television character of all time. He is just amazing to watch, and I love his sense of humuor. A big reason why this show is so great is the way they review the cases. They show different events of how it could happen, then figure one out. Most shows just say it how it happened, but dont show it. Ive seen all seven seasons thus far and have yet to grow tired of it.
great set.......2007-04-10
this is a great set, the first year this show started is wonderful! i'm adding this to the other seasons i already have, to make my collection complete!
A brilliant series.......2007-03-26
CSI is so cleverly written, it makes you just bound to fall in love with the characters. Its rather ingenious how they play the ball so close to their heart. Every episode has a personal touch by one of the characters and each case is different from the next. I also very much like Band of Brothers, so if you are considering this one, check out BofB too...

Now firmly established as the top-rated television drama, by its third year CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is a show positively glowing with confidence. Even when individual cases seem either too contrived or too easily resolved, the indefatigable night shift at the Las Vegas PD crime lab always look the part, solving conundrums and discovering microscopic damning evidence while, apparently, never shedding their own loose hair or skin cells all over the supposedly quarantined crime scenes. In reality, Catherine Willows's flowing blonde locks would contaminate any evidence she collected, but in the world of CSI only the bad guys leave body parts behind--the CSIs themselves are so good they're positively pristine.
The 23 episodes of season 3 on this five-disc set present more deliciously bizarre situations for the problem-solving sleuths: cannibalism, snuff movies, dwarfs, death while drag racing, bodies falling from the sky, and various dismemberments all tax the team's acumen. These are all double or multiple-case episodes, though in a characteristic trick of the writing sometimes apparently unrelated murders turn out to be connected (or vice versa, as in "Blood Lust," in which a road-accident victim is not what he seems, and the death of the driver at the hands of an angry mob is made all the more tragic). The mix of genuine forensic science with the glossiest Jerry Bruckheimer production values, plus the virtues of a good ensemble cast headed by William Peterson's modern-day Sherlock Holmes, remains as compelling as ever. --Mark Walker
Customer Reviews:
Charecters Growing Old.......2007-07-01
Starting too tire of the crews attitude and arrogance. They are cops for Pete's sake, not the end all of morality and all that is good. The episodes are starting to blend together and all have a familiar undertone of we are better then you feeling. These folks need a good dose of humble pie.
I love it........2007-03-18
I am a big fan of CSI and I loved the third season.
What can I say?.......2007-01-27
I LOVE CSI. The show is just brilliant, the actors have depth and skill that showcase the true star... SCIENCE! There are some good extras included on the dvd's, with some behind-the-scenes peeks. This was a gift for my husband, but, we both enjoy it (the only drawback is that you should not watch this with kids around, so we only get to see episodes when our son is already in bed asleep).
CSI Las Vegas 3rd Season.......2007-01-12
For us dyed-in-the wool CSI fans, the Las Vegas site is the best and this collection of programs is pure delight (if a bit gory at times). For those who are not entranced by Jerry Bruchheimer's latest hit series, it will probably be sometimes tedious. Accurate science (I'm a chemistry and microbiology/immunology major), great scripts with good characterization, and wonderful desert scenery and camera work.
Great Show Great DVD's.......2007-01-12
I really enjoyed this set of DVD's. There is nothing like being able to watch a favorite show without commercial interruptions!

Product Description
In this highly successful CBS series, Detective Gil Grissom (William Peterson) leads the Las Vegas Police Department's night shift Crime Scene Investigations Unit, one of the top-ranked crime labs in the country. Grissom, along with his tough Captain, Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle), takes on a series of cases which would be untouchable by other labs, in a city with a constant influx of visitors and a series of increasingly baffling crimes. This 6-DVD set includes all 23 episodes from the second season.

The second season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation consolidates the show's well-deserved popular appeal, while beginning to explore (gently at first) beneath the slickly professional surface of the investigators themselves. Gradually we learn more about what makes Grissom and his astonishingly gifted forensics team tick, beyond merely that they are workaholics who seem to require no sleep at all. The show's trademark reveals of vital evidence--be it on the autopsy slab or under the microscope--add a fresh spin to what is, at heart, a good old-fashioned whodunit series. William Petersen brings the requisite air of antiquarianism to a character whose meticulous demeanor and love of order consciously inherits the mantle of Sherlock Holmes (whose vast collection of tobacco samples and bottles of chemicals are the ancestors of CSI's high-tech crime lab). This is a series in which scientific evidence-gathering is elevated to the status of a religion. "When a tree falls in the forest, even if no one is around to hear, it does make a sound," affirms Grissom with the calm assurance of a yogi on the path to Enlightenment.
And just when CSI starts to seem a little too pat, just when the trail of clues seems a little too neat, the show always seems able to throw a surprise or two at us: perhaps there has been no crime after all; perhaps the evidence concerns a completely different crime altogether; or perhaps, as in one brave episode concerning brothers implicated in multiple murders, the evidence simply isn't good enough to convict the right man, even when Grissom knows which one really is guilty. As a result, every episode is simply compulsive viewing. --Mark Walker

This set was one of my daughter's birthday presents. I was sweating the arrival time of the package....much to my relief, the order arrived in no time!!
Building a great show from the ground up.......2007-03-24
I resisted getting interested in the "other" C.S.I. shows even though I had always been a fan of the original. I still haven't become enamored with C.S.I. NY, but I have to admit C.S.I. Miami has me hooked. David Caruso's Horatio Caine is both decent and fair while remaining a hardened cop. That is a delicate balance difficult to pull off, especially in one hour episodes, but he accomplishes it with aplomb. I recommend this series to anyone interested in the genre. Looking forward to watching Season 3!
Love It!.......2007-03-09
Wonderful! Each season better than the one before! Keep up the good work!
The Rebirth of David Caruso .......2007-02-07

Subtitles and Language.......2007-06-18
I bought the set about 3 months ago and I'm still watching them. I always loved the caracters, almost coming from the ordinary world, and the way the whole serie has been done. Back home, I used to watch episode by episode, and not even everything...so I missed a lot and really wanted to have all of them together, now that I do, I'm glad.
However, I couldn't imagine such a famous serie wouldn't have any subtitles in English or in Spanish. And it only offers two audio languages options: in Enlgish and in Spanish. I mean back in a lot of non-English or non-Spanish countries they watch CSI Vegas doubled in their own language. I would have expected it to have at least a French Option audio language + all three subtitles, but I was very disappointed when I found out that there is not any subtitle unless you watched with a TV that has captioned option, too bad!
Apart from that, the overall quantity of the serie is great, and I hope they will add in the future more languages and subtitles, because I believe that a TV serie with that reputation should allow anyone around the world to watch it! I received my shipment on time and in very good condition!
So far, I have never been disappointed by Amazon, it's great to do business with them.
Kind Regards
SUBTITLES.......2007-05-10
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT BUT NONE OF THE SIX SEASONS HAVE SPANISH SUBTITLES. TODAY EVERY DVD COMES WITH 6 OR 7 LANGUAGES BUT OTHER THAN THAT NO PROBLEM
Love these characters.......2007-01-13
What can I say? So far (six seasons) this is my favorite series! I am seeing some camera angle and speed changes near the end of the last season, and I do not like it. I want characters to take their time solving the puzzles--I want to see the steps. I like the characters and the actors for the most part. Characters expressing their humanity while solving puzzles draw me in.
BUT, who is the smart "a" giving Grissom the one-liners at the beginning of some of the episodes. OK, some of the one-liners are funny, but for the most part, I wonder if Peterson might feel idiotic saying them.

Jean-Claude Van Damme (star of Timecop and Universal Soldier) plays two roles in this surprisingly good action thriller. Replicant also stars Michael Rooker (of Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer, The Replacement Killers) as Jake Riley, a cop who's been tracking a serial killer called "The Torch" (Van Damme). Frustrated, Riley decides to retire--and the National Security Department makes him an offer: they've cloned "The Torch" as part of a program to track down terrorists; they'll turn this replicant (Van Damme again, of course) over to Riley as a sort of test run for the program. The idea is that the replicant will slowly recall the original person's memories and lead the cops to the original. It's ridiculous, but no more ridiculous than the setup for the highly successful Face/Off, and it works just as well as the engine for an effective action flick. What makes Replicant more unusual is that the writers actually put some thought into the relationship between Riley and the replicant, which starts to mirror parent-child relationships in emotionally complex ways. Furthermore, while it's no surprise that Rooker gives a solid performance, it is surprising that Van Damme does just as good a job in both of his roles--he's perfectly creepy as the serial killer and genuinely affecting as the quickly developing replicant, projecting a mixture of innocence and turmoil. Replicant was directed by Hong Kong director Ringo Lam, the man behind Full Contact and City on Fire. He was clearly working on a limited budget, but the movie looks good, moves with lean efficiency, and has some riveting action sequences and good quality effects--the scenes where Van Damme (inevitably!) fights himself are completely convincing. A satisfying movie. --Bret Fetzer
Customer Reviews:
Excellent return to form for Van Damme!.......2005-09-23
Absolutely amazing. I mean, the guy had been written off for so long, I really didn't have many expectations for this movie, but it was a surprise and a half. The GOOD kind, too.
Ringo Lam also directed the tepid Van Damme film "Maximum Risk", but at least the fight scenes showed panache. You'll find this film mirrors "The Sixth Day" (if for no other reason but that Michael Rooker stars in both), and actually beats it for sheer watchability.
It's a lot of fun to see Van Damme brutalize any innocent bystander that gets in his way; he must have had a ball with that role. On the other hand, watching him perfect his 'Rain Man' side added a touch of pathos and humour as well--I think this movie represents his best acting yet, and believe me, that is saying a lot.
Some of the deleted scenes should have been left in for further character development, but overall, it's a tight, well-paced thriller/action film that really deserved a theatre release. Absolutely recommended.
GENETICALLY YOURS.......2005-07-25
REPLICANT as indicated in the Amazon review is a surprisingly good movie. Jean Claude van Damme gives one of his most convincing performances in two roles: a slimy serial killer called the Torch who has been murdering mothers and their babies, and as his genetic double, a kind of childlike replicant. The clone was done in order to try and retrace the movements of the real Torch, but also as a governmental experiment to initiate further plans for the future. Van Damme is repulsive as the Torch and quite convincing as the new Torch, who is put under the care of former cop, now secret service agent Michael Rooker. Rooker gives a compelling performance and the relationship that develops between he and the genetic double is well developed. Ringo Lam directs with a sure eye and the action scenes are well executed. A very surprising entry for van Damme and a good actioner overall.
Based on a true story?.......2005-07-20
To try and catch an elusive serial killer called The Torch the government creates a full grown clone complete with an ESP gene. Once hatched they handcuff him to a table force him to watch kung-fu movies then just beat the crap out of him day and night until he has the mind set of a killer.
Way too much "serious" acting and not enough groin kicking. The fight scene at the end was cool but that's about it. Ringo Lam can do much better: FULL CONTACT, PRISON ON FIRE 1 & 2, IN HELL.
The one bright spot was Michael Rooker's extreme overacting.
Over the hill..........2005-03-04
and past his prime to B-movieland he goes. Van Damme? Ho hum. Now free to embrace the old superheros retirement home along with pals Stallone, Schwarzaneggar & Segall et al, Damme(it)'s cardboard acting (indeed the entire flick) which delivers action that rivals a race between two slugs and character development, envisages twiggy-like thin-ness. Watch this movie as you would drying paint - in anticipation of fini!
Very good. One of van damn's best!.......2004-11-10
Basically, van damn is a serial killer, who's already killed like a dozen people. He targets single moms, slices them and then burns the place down. The cops have been trying for like 3 years to find him with no luck. The main cop in the case retires from the force, and some government agency hires him to continue looking for the killer. Little does he know, they recovered a single hair from one of the crime scenes, and with that hair they basically made a clone of the killer. Their hope, is that the clone will be able to help them figure out who the killer is. And the clone is also played by, obviously, van damn. So, if you can by the whole cloning sci-fi stuff, and believe that, then the rest of the movie was actually very good. They don't dwell on or explain the cloning thing at all anyways. That whole thing is only a small part of the movie. So the ex-cop drags the clone all over town, trying to see if he can help him at all. The clone actually starts remembering things the killer did, and that helps the cops find the killer. There was quite a bit of fighting in it. It was nice to see he's still in great shape, unlike the other left over from the 80's, our old fat friend seagal. As a martial arts movie, not so good. As an action-suspense-murder-cop-thriller-mystery, pretty good.
