I ordered this item simply because I wanted the movie on DVD (I already have it on VHS). This had got to be the absolutely worst quality I have ever seen on a DVD. If you are looking for a copy of Boggy Creek on disc, do NOT order this one. Hunt for an older version (as in the original DVD issue). This particular copy is a waste of money.

I purchased this to find out what was in the missing 3 minutes of another version I have (87 vs 90 minutes). While this DVD included the missing footage, the quality was poor for a DVD. It also had a different cover than what was pictured on the web site.

IT SEEMS SO REAL. A REAL POSSIBILITY. THE VIDEO QUALITY COULD BE BETTER. A LOT OF THE MOVIE DEPENDS ON YOUR OWN EXPERIENCES AND IMAGINATION.

I watched the Movie Legend of Boggy Creek years ago when
it first came out and liked it then and I like it now.
The music is catchie and some of the places looked spooky.
I passed through Texarkana years ago and I talked to one
person at a gas station and he said "Awa shocks that story
was just a hoax" but others said differently. You have to
make your own mind up if you think it is a hoax.
The movie is old therefore it is not the best quality but
I will still watcher it from time to time. I know it by heart.

This is a good old-fashioned movie that is similar to the first. If you liked that, you will enjoy this as well. If you don't like dated movies, you will think this is silly. I wish I lived near Boggy Creek.......

This movie is alot of fun. It's Bigfoot down south again scaring cute girls with their 1980's apparel on and basically just being a cool monster. In many ways this is superior to "Legend of Boggy Creek". It's better directed and has characters that are interesting. Also, the scene a night with the sonar blips is actually kind of scary. It's not as bad as alot of viewers say.

If you're a bigfoot movie fan, this is a must-see; but you may want to check out the version on the DVD set 'Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection - Volume 5', who summarizes the movie as "When you major in boggy creek studies, you can pretty much write your own ticket".

2 out of 5 stars Boggy Creek 2, or Put a Shirt on that Boy!.......2005-09-24

You can't blame Charles Pierce for wanting to go back to that Boggy Creek well again after the first movie, but this time he pulls up a bucket full of fetid water. This movie is all sorts of wrong! From casting himself in the role of "Doc" to putting his own son in a large supporting role, sans shirt for a majority of the running time, Pierce misfires on almost every level. The flashback stories almost brought back the flavor of the original Boggy Creek (the outhouse scene alone is a hoot), but then he offsets that with the hilarious "mad dog!" scene. By the time Old Man Crenshaw shows up, the wheels totally fly off this shaky cart and promptly bursts into flames! Being a bigfoot sub-genre fanatic, I feel justified buying this title, but do not see spinning the DVD as often as the far superior The Legend of Boggy Creek. Where's Travis Crabtree when you really need him?!

Product Description

Based on a True Story! - A 1970s documentary-style drama questions the existence of a hairy 7ft tall Sasquatch-type monster that lives in a swap outside of Fouke, Arkansas. According to the locals the monster walks on two feet, has a characteristic smelly odor and kills chicken, cattle, dogs and livestock but so far it hasn't killed any people. The monster supposedly harassed two families in the late 1960s, but since then few have seen the monster yet it can be heard in the swap at night. Actual interviews with area residents tell the tale. Could this be real of a conspiracy of a backwoods community looking for attention?

Well so much for everything I loved as a kid being as good today. This "Documentary" is very funny now and the stories it tells are beyond belief. Worth a look for the laughs.

this movie scared the pants off my brother and i when we were kids. it is just as fun as i remember. as an added bonus there are some of those old "lets go to the lobby" type intermission reels that are arguably the best part of this DVD
