I agree with everyone else. Degrassi jnr. high had such an honesty about it. After rewatching it I fell in love with all the characters again, shortcomings and all. So we end with the school burning down and I know everyone goes off to highschool...sooo...whats with the delay in releasing Degrassi HIGH. Does anyone know when it will be released in the states? I remember it being equally satisfying...and if you need that 80's fix, just pop in a disc!

DEGRASSI HIGH DVD SERIES.......2006-12-14

I just wanted to warn those that live in the US about purchasing Degrassi High DVDs from Australia. Even though it has released over there note that it probably won't play in the US. DVDs when released are assigned "region codes" and Degrassi High is not released yet in the US so a DVD bought from Australia will most likely not play on a US DVD machine. Buyer beware!

My favorite show!.......2006-07-12

Well, I grew-up watching Degrassi: The Next Generation, since I was born in 1987, when Degrassi Junior High first came out. But, when I spotted the Junior High DVD in the store, I just had to buy it, so I could know what happened before TNG. Once I watched the show, I fell in love with it. Maybe it was because I found Pat Mastroianni [Joey Jeremiah] insanely hilarious and completely cute, but, still, I loved it. Just like TNG, it tackles the same hard issues [sex, drugs, alcohol] in a way that shows you what happens when you experience those things. And since I'm also in love with the 80's, I love the crazy 80's fashion. Also, just because it was made in the 80's, doesn't mean it out-of-date. In fact, I think it can help more NOW then back then. Though, it does seem kind of funny when Shane's father asks him, "have you ever heard of 'crack'?"

One way to relive High School with better memories.......2006-06-01

This show depicted things so true to life that the characters don't seem like acting jobs. They even looked like real people instead of plastic surgery recipients before 18. For those ex-Torontonians (like me) it's a wonderful way to "adopt" more enjoyable junior and senior high school memories.
