There's a great film waiting to be made from the real-life Cain and Abel story of the Mitchell brothers, a story of decadence, drugs, and sex that ended in bloody fratricide. This, unfortunately, is not it. The San Francisco pornography pioneers created the crossover X-rated hit Behind the Green Door, took on both the government and the mob, and weathered the crash of porno theaters by turning their show palace into a venue for live sex shows. The brothers Mitchell were flamboyant showman, from black-tie movie premieres to high-profile arrests, and brothers Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez play the media clowns with ease (under, it should be noted, some very unconvincing bald caps).

Sheen brings a mix of boyish charm, sleepy-eyed irresponsibility, and welled-up rage to the part of Artie Mitchell, the younger brother full of ideas always in the shadow of Jim (Estevez), the director and media glory-hound. Behind the scenes, however, their lives are a repetitious loop of snorting, smoking, sex, and shouting matches. The sloppy direction by Estevez is rambling and unfocused, never really plumbing the depths of the love and jealousy that drove the brothers. It pales next to the passion of Boogie Nights and the complexities of The People vs. Larry Flynt, but for all its shortcomings it is a fascinating story, the underside of the outlaw American dream.

Two men enter a fast food place. The owner asks them about a mysterious matter. After some considerations, one of the two guys accepts to tell the story. Here starts a long flashback: the two men are in a terrace, next to a lake, and one is telling the other a story. A woman sits at a table nearby. Later the same woman is kidnapped. When the blindfold is removed, a woman welcomes her. After a relaxing massage, she is accompanied by 6 women, into a stage, in front of masked men, and women of all kinds. A speaker explains that the woman will be pleased, by all means. The 6 women first, and later some men make love to her, while the audience progressively move into a orgy. This is the end of the flashback. The owner of the fast food place asks what happened after that time, but the men refuse to tell...

Despite some weaknesses (poor lighting and sound at times, makeup of the club's audience) this rates as one of the great porn flicks, entirely because of the beautiful Marilyn Chambers and her fantastic performance. Her arousal and orgasms are totally realistic, she is incredible. I believe she was 19 at the time.

This tries to uncover certain issues in the porn business. For example the amount of work availabe to non-white performers. I had never thought this would be an issue but surprisingly some females will not work with non-white males and there is the thought that some people will not purchase/rent a video that features a colored performer. Other issues includes the risk of HIV and weather the female performers were abused when they were kids. One thing that is not covered is the amount of drug use in the industry. Director Dag Yngvesson knows he always liked porn don't let him lie to you.

Great Documentary!.......2005-11-03

I saw this documentary at a film festival a little while ago. The movie is incredible. It really gives you an insight into the porn industry and lets you see the good and the bad. The movie gives a truly unbiased viewpoint and provides you with the information on which to base your own opinions. The soundtrack and video quality is top-notch. I think there is a Web site that has more information about it... If you are looking for a porno flick, this is not it. It is a well done documentary.

Save your money!!!.......2006-11-11

This had to be the biggest waste of time and money. By far the cheesiest "instructional" video I've ever seen. I thought I would pick up some "new" technique, or learn "something" new....NOT! Nina attempts to sound intelligent....NOT! I rated this one star because there was nothing less....trust me...do NOT buy this DVD, you'll be mad at yourself if you do. You're better off renting a "XXX" movie at your local Blockbuster!

Flops As An "Instructional" Video.......2005-07-11

If you're a Nina Hartley fan, you'll probably enjoy this. If you're looking for a "how-to" video, this is not it.

The video starts off with Nina acting like a university professor. After several years of college, I have never seen an instructor dressed in a see-thru leotard. It makes the "lecture" that follows less credible. She gives a very basic anatomy and physiology lesson. You'll likely hear very little new information.

After the "lecture" ends, Nina proceeds with an "example" of fellatio. She repeatedly starts and stops her "demostration" to lecture you further, without providing you any really useful advice... at least very little even novices won't already know. The whole scene seems very scripted, right down to the moaning and groaning. It feels unrealistic and has a distinct porn flix feel to it.

There was one more very brief non-informative lecture before the final scene... Nina's favorite fellatio fantasy. Her fellatio fantasy actually has very little fellatio in it. There's vaginal intercourse, cunnilingus, even analingus distracting you from the featured theme of the film.

From a technical viewpoint, the video quality of the sex scenes are good, but the lecture scenes are rather grainy. The audio quality is also lacking.

This flick will probably appeal to Nina fans and those with virtually no fellatio experience. The rest of us will be left wanting.

This Video could have been more classy. She attempted to cover the subject well, but from a woman's perspective, it comes off as "B" class Porn. Not love. I threw the video out. I just ordered the book, You Want Me To Do What? and, it looks like better teaching material.

Nicely Done.......2004-07-10

Nina is certainly one of the most attractive of all the adult star, a truly awesome bod. Comes across in this video as quite intelligent and articulate. I love her wholesome attitude about sex and the way she conveys her total enjoyment whenever she is engaging in sex. An attitude also obvious with Barbara Dare. She obviously knows what she is doing as she discusses and performs fellatio. The only shortcoming is that she omits any reference to the guy's climax and the ejaculation that follows. For a guy, the most erotic part of fellatio, for the gal, especially a gal wanting to learn from the video, the part of fellatio that can be the most difficult.
