Mark Hamill (Star Wars) and Annie Potts (Designing Women) make comedic and romantic sparks fly in a revved-up tale of car-brained Kenny (Hamill), trailing a Corvette that's mysteriously boosted after his high school shop class restores it to perfection. The trail leads to Fun Capital USA and a ditzy diversion (Potts) whose dream is to become - a hooker! This damsel-in-distress needs a white knight on a candy-apple, metal-flake, superior-mags, mercury-tubes steed - right, Kenny? Both are in for a summer they'll never forget.

I remember this Movie on TV long ago. Of course I thought the Corvette was way cool back then, now? Not so much. It's just a little to corny now. I sure didn't remember Annie Potts looking so hot back then. It's still a fun movie to watch.

When I was a kid I dreamed of owning a car as "BITCHEN" as the corvettte in this movie. Now that I watch this movie some 20+ years later I have owned much better looking and faster cars than this car. But I would love to have it even today. A great movie for its time. A bit dated but still a fun watch!

Well, Iam a 70's movie and music buff, and corvette summer fits that bill! The movie was excellent because it takes you back to the 70's with the cool cars and the nice looking ladies! Mark Hamill and Anne Potts make a perfect pair in this movie! the acting was really well done. A lot of the other actors go on and make alot of other movies as well, you will pick them out while you watch.If you like the movie Dazed and Confused, and Detroit rock city then you will like this movie! I definately recommend this movie If your a gear head and like nice cars!,( also if you grew up in the 70's!)then this movie's for you!

IT'S NOT JUST A CAR !.......2006-12-17

The dvd release of "Corvette Summer" has finally replaced my old taped vhs copy from television.Kudo's to Warner studios for releasing this classic 70's car movie on dvd.It's a barebones release as far as dvd's go,but i'll take it.The video transfer is really nice and the sound is very good.It's too bad this one wasn't in 5.1 dolby digital given it's soundtrack.No matter how many times i watch this movie,i still find it very entertaining.The story is ok and the interaction between mark hamill and annie potts characters is pretty funny.I have to admit,watching annie potts play the part of a skinny wannabe hooker is pretty hilarious. In the end this movie is really all about the car.
