11. Hell on Earth 2006- It satan's bday, and he wants to have the perfect party.
12. Go God Go. Cartman cannot seem to be patient enough to wait 3 weeks the Nintento Wii's release. So he decides to freeze himself for the period of duration. Also, Scientist Richard Dawkens is assigned to teach the South Park kids about evulotion when Mrs. Garrison refuses to do so.
13. Go God Go pt 2. Cartman unforunatly finds himself waking up 500 yrs into the father, rather than just the 3 weeks as he wanted. He wakes up to witness the future has become an Athiest society.
14. Stanley's Cup-Stan is hired to coach a pee wee hickey team. However, coaching is no walk in the park.
That basically. Def see because it willl provide a lot of good memories.

Getting better all the time.......2007-06-18
I thought at frist this season was going to suck
but to my surpise i loved it and can't wait for it to come out
and i liked it more then season 9
These kids are alright.......2007-06-06
The landmark season of South Park saw Matt Stone and Trey Parker's animated series back on top thanks to some scathing, satirical moments and just plain animated lunacy. It also saw the departure of Isaac Hayes, the voice of Chef, who departed after the previous season's lampooning of scientology and Tom Cruise. His departure is spoofed in the opening "Return of Chef" which uses archive sounds of Hayes' voice as Chef returns to South Park brainwashed by the Super Adventure Club, and seeling to "re-connect" with children. Things only get better as Kyle's dad buys a hybrid car in "Smug Alert!", Al Gore seeks attention from anyone with "Manbearpig", Cartman's mom turns to the Dog Whisperer in "Tsst!", Satan has a killer Halloween party in "Hell on Earth 2006", and Cartman seeks to freeze himself in anticipation for the release of the Nintendo Wii in "Go God Go". The best moments of the season however came with the two part "Cartoon Wars" which hilariously lampooned Family Guy, and it makes sense in a way you've never imagined. "Make Love, Not Warcraft" satires the players of the incredibly popular online RPG, and "Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy" finds little Ike having an illicit affair. The only downpoint of the season is the closing "Stanley's Cup" which finds Stan coaching a terrible pee-wee hockey team, for no apparent reason. This episode just isn't funny, at all. Despite that though, every other episode here in the tenth season is a winner, and ten years and still going strong, South Park proves that these kids are quite alright.

Description
All fourteen episodes from South Park's infamous ninth season are now available for the first time in this exclusive 3-disc collector's set. This season features Kenny's epic battle between heaven and hell, uprising of redheads and adventures surrounding a certain closet. For these boys, it's all part of growing up in South Park!
Amazon.com
A lot can happen in the middle of nowhere. The tiny mountain town of South Park, Colorado has proven that beyond a doubt for the last eight seasons. Fortunately for fans of this Comedy Central pillar, series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker obviously had no lack of ideas for their ninth season. Over the course of fourteen episodes, Mr. Garrison gets a sex change, Cartman thwarts a hippie music festival that threatens to destroy the town, the boys (Cartman, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny) start a talent agency, Kenny leads angelic forces in an epic battle against Satan's minions at the gates of heaven, and the boys become really bad at losing at baseball. And that's just the first half of the season. The most notable episode from this season is definitely the controversial "Trapped in the Closet," where Stan is "recognized" as the reincarnation of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, and a dejected Tom Cruise locks himself in Stan's closet. Naturally, over the course of the episode, TV reporters get to decry that "Tom Cruise still won't come out of the closet." It's funny enough on its own, but when John Travolta and R. Kelly end up in the closet as well (all singing together "Now I'm trapped in the closet. I'm trapped in the closet too"), that's worth the price of the set on its own.
After nine seasons it's also nice to see that one of the series key running gags, the perpetual cluelessness of the adults, still isn't getting old. It's as if the adult townspeople only know how to behave based on movies they've seen (this season's cinematic targets include Rocky (in "The Losing Edge"), The Day After Tomorrow ("Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow"), and Pet Cemetery ("Marjorine"), and their inevitably clichéd over-reactions still provide many of the show's best moments. The commentaries from Parker and Stone are once again typically short; they usually last only a few minutes into each show before they end it with "Ok, onto the next show now" not even trying to conceal that they really want to get through the recording session as quickly as possible. That might seem lame on other shows, but on South Park--a show where 8-year-olds send a talking killer whale to the moon through the Mexican Space Agency for $200,--somehow it's totally fitting. --Daniel Vancini

South Park Season 9.......2007-07-04
The seasons get racier as they go along, and this is the culmination. Some of it is unsettling so you have to be prepared. I wouldn't recommend it if you find racy humor offensive. It's a good watch and the season tones down by the end.
Fantastic Choice!.......2007-06-16
If you are, like me, SLOWLY trying to get your South Park collection complete, I highly suggest you include this season in your early purchases. If you love South Park for the up-to-date political and social satire, this is one of the best seasons for documenting some of the major issues of 2004 (the 2004 elections, the Michael Jackson "trials," the Paris Hilton rage, "Wall-mart" killing small towns, the silly uproar Janet's wardrobe malfunction caused in the face of so many other things people SHOULD be in an uproar about, immigration and the economy, etc). The list of relevant issues the South Park creators tackle in this season could go on and on.....
South Park is great!.......2007-06-12
Another season of the best writing on television. South Park is hilarious. I own every season.
Power is Stupid.......2007-05-18
Eeeee Eee Eeee, by Tao Lin, is about hamsters, bears, dolphins, Elijah Wood, Sean Penn, The President of the United States, and a Domino's delivery driver named Andrew.
Eeeee Eee Eeee is very professional, just like South Park.
In South Park, Jesus makes sense. Similarly in Eeeee Eee Eeee, the President makes sense.
"Power is stupid," says the president, before getting drunk and playing poker with Salman Rushdie.
South Park is just like Eeeee Eee Eeee.
Eeeee Eee Eeee.
Only South Park is on television, and is not so existential maybe.
Southpark Clasics.......2007-05-13
This season was one the moe classic seasons of southpark. The DVD is for the sothpark fan who wants to relive these moments when they want. Great product.

The quiet little mountain town of South Park, Colorado enters its sixth season as America's weirdest and most dysfunctional town, and if you thought that title was already claimed by Springfield, I have one word for you: Lemmiwinks. If you thought it couldn't get any weirder, this season will prove you wrong. But the good news is that South Park has always been able to maintain a mathematical-like balance of proportionality so impressive it could be charted on a graph: as South Park gets weirder, so it gets funnier (usually). Which makes sense because one of South Park's greatest strengths has always been to reflect the strangest elements of society, which, let's face it, are pretty strange. Targets this season include exploitive daytime TV shows ("Freak Strike"), celebrities gone wild (Russell Crowe fightin' round the world), the Catholic priest sexual-abuse scandals ("Red Hot Catholic Love"), and the meat industry ("Fun With Veal"). Creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker even parody the reality of competing with The Simpsons's longevity in "The Simpsons Already Did It," where Butters, gone out of his mind and in his Professor Chaos persona, can't even come up with an original evil scheme to unleash on the citizens of South Park. Fortunately for fans, the quality of the writing is as strong this season as it has been at any point in the show's run, and it's not like the show's going to back off from its trademark gross-out factor at this point. Proof of that can be found in "The Death Camp of Tolerance." In an extreme satire of sex education class, Mr. Slave and Lemmiwinks, the heroic and intensely unfortunate gerbil, make their, umm, debuts. In South Park, this is what qualifies as a normal school day. Taken as a whole, Season Six is one of the show's strongest punches yet to the face of a society that had it coming. --Daniel Vancini
Product Description
Sit back and enjoy all 17 episodes of the sixth season of the show that makes you laugh your @$$ off, now available for the first time in this exclusive 3-disc collector's edition. This season tackles such issues as child abduction, animal rights and early mammary development and its effects on society. Also, Cartman wears a dress on national television and Butters goes out of his mind. For them, it's all part of growing up in South Park.

~Kick the Baby~.......2007-05-10
Who doesn't enjoy a good laugh once in a while. This season has alot of good episode on it. Its a great grab for any one who loves South PArk.
SOME REALLY GOOD ONES ON THIS SEASON SET!.......2007-03-07
I love this show! They start to change direction a little here, but you can't stay the same forever. A great season, but there were better ones to come. ;-b
Not their greatest but definately hilarious stuff.......2007-02-20
Unlike the Simpsons which hasn't really been that great since season 10 or 11, South Park arguably never seems to have one outright bad season (even season 7 had its moments). And so we have season 6 which has some average episodes but not really any filler. There's some show classics, season highlights and episodes that may not be as memorable but will usually contain an incredibly hilarious moment.
Jared Has Aides: A misunderstanding regarding Aides and Aids leads Jared of the Subway commercials to become hated in town. Not really a favorite but it's definately got funny parts including the City Wok guy.
A**pen: The gang goes to Aspen with Stan reluctantly having to save a youth center in an obvious poke at 80's sport movies.
Freak Strike: The boys try to get a free prize by pretending Butters is deformed on the Maury show. Not bad but kinda gross.
The New Terrance and Phillip Movie Trailer: The boys have to suffer through Russell Crowe's tv show to see the titular trailer. Very funny trailer when they actually show it.
Fun With Veal: Stan kidnaps baby cows and barricades himself in his room to avoid the cows turning into veal. Not bad.
Professor Chaos: Adorable Butters snaps when he's fired as the 4th friend and creates his alter-ego intent on doom and destruction.
Simpsons Already Did It: Butters/Professor Chaos can't seem to come up with a good scheme that the Simpsons haven't already done.
Red Hot Catholic Love: They take on the Catholic church when priests admit they've molested young boys.
Free Hat: If you hated the changes to the Star Wars trilogy and E.T, this episode is up your alley.
Bebe's (....) Destroy Society: Kind of meh episode when Bebe's growing body attracts the boys without them knowing why.
Child Abduction is Not Funny: A hilarious episode with parents overreacting to new abduction studies. City Wok guy steals the show.
A Ladder to Heaven: In a comment on the 9/11 sentimentality, everyone think it's cute the boys try to build a ladder to heaven to see Kenny.
The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers: The boys roleplay when they have to return the movie to the video store, only it's mixed with a (....).
The Death Camp of Tolerance: Mr. Garrison tries to get fired so he can sue for wrongful termination while Lemmiwinks, the class gerbil takes a perilous journey...inside Garrison's teacher's aid.
The Biggest Douche in the Universe: Kind of okay. Massive pot shots against John Edward and Rob Schneider's movies as of late.
My Future Self N'Me: Future Stan visits to scare Stan into not trying drugs. Butters lines about the newspaper ads are hysterical.
Red Sleigh Down: Santa is shot down over Iraq and the boys and Jesus have to rescue him.
Like many South Park seasons, each episode is great in its own way save for some average ones but rarely do you find an outright clunker. May not be a perfect season, but it's sure a funny one.
South Park.. a decade old and still full steam ahead........2006-09-11
First thing, WHO said "Jarred Has Aides" wasn't a great episode? In fact I believe it to be one of the FUNNIEST of its particular season. Although, this season which has some fantastic episodes the subsequent 2 seasons are EVEN stronger, but this is a great followup to season 5.. with only a few.. well no real flat out duds, there's always SOMETHING in there.. but it doesn't quite stack up to the seasons around it.
Still.. Free Hat, Red Hot Catholic Love, Jarred has Aidea, The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers were some of the FUNNIEST episodes of the series.. and are easily in the top 25, the show reached its 100th episode in the 8th season with "I'm a Little Bit Country".
South Park amazingly hits it right out of the park.. or just nose dives, but even the nosedives can be.. just, that you're not really into that particular aspect.. for example the 8th season, "Good Times with Weapons" really works better I think.. on someone more into the anime style that the episode mocks, whereas the episode Asspen from this season, much like the baseball episode of season 9, mocks 80s movies. The Asspen episode I LOVE in particular that it mocks, to me anyway, the John Cusack flick Better Off Dead (watch it and TELL me they weren't having a bit of fun with it). Much with the baseball episode, from Stan trying to lose the baseball games to the rockin sound of "You're the Best" (from the Karate Kid) to Randy training Rocky III style.. At its best.. the episode is a smart social satire. and at its worst, sometimes it doesn't appeal to everyone at once.. cause not EVERYONE gets the joke.. but, the show always comes back.. that's part of the magic.. and this season definitely has it.

In the episode "Chef Goes Nanners," Cartman is left standing alone in the snow after Wendy blithely proclaims her improbable attraction for him to has suddenly vanished. Cartman heaves a heavy sigh, and exits Chaplinesque stage right. But any concerns that South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone had gone soft, or that Cartman would undergo a more sympathetic, Louie De Palma-like makeover are abated in nearly every other episode of South Park's pivotal fourth season. From the "downright immature" trashing of Phil Collins (whose "You'll Be in My Heart" from Tarzan had emerged victorious Oscar night over Parker and Stone's "Blame Canada") to an episode in which Cartman becomes the unwitting poster child for NAMBLA, South Park gave its viewers much shock value for its basic cable dollar. This was the season that introduced the show's most unlikely breakout star, the wheelchair-bound Timmy, who, despite being only able to say his own name (or perhaps because of it), carried the pathos in his own holiday special, "Helen Keller! The Musical." This was the season in which Parker and Stone somehow were able to comment with Daily Show immediacy on the Elian Gonzales incident ("Quintuplets 2000") and the presidential election debacle ("Trapper Keeper") within days of the actual events. This was the season in which other "statement shows" skewered the South Carolina confederate flag controversy ("Chef Goes Nanners") and hate-crime legislation ("Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000"). This was also the season in which the South Park kids graduated to the fourth grade, we got a harrowing look inside Cartman's brain ("Helen Keller!"), and estranged lovers Saddam Hussein and Satan were reunited (in a two-parter, no less!).
Episodes not appreciated in their time can now be seen with fresh eyes. "Pip," hosted by Malcolm McDowell, and featuring none of the South Park regulars, is a faithful abridgement of Charles Dickens's Great Expectations, monkey robots notwithstanding. As in the season 3 set, Parker and Stone provide brief, "fun-size commentary" that address their censorship skirmishes with Comedy Central and illuminate the inspiration and backstory for each episode. To quote the pro-commercialism holiday episode, "A Very Krappy Christmas," "If we all buy presents, everyone benefits." For South Park fans, this boxed set is an excellent start. --Donald Liebenson
Customer Reviews:
The Season in which Kenny died.......2007-03-23
The mere fact that a movie or book is disturbing is neither good nor bad; in fact, if the only thing it has going for it is shock value, eventually the reader or viewer will get numb and go elsewhere for entertainment. The makers of South Park realize this; all the shocking material it presents would be valueless if it weren't also well-written, but it is, so South Park is worth watching.
As in the third season, the fourth season of South Park is not only funny, but creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone continue to not rest on their laurels. Instead they explore new places and have the characters slowly develop. This is most obvious in mid-season when Kenny, Stan, Kyle and Eric move on the fourth grade and get a new teacher. Old teacher Mr. Garrison has retreated to the woods, unable to come to terms with his sexual orientation; only there, in a scene out of The Empire Strikes Back, will he finally become a new man.
This season has all sorts of great stuff. We get a sequel of sorts to the movie as Sadaam Hussein returns to wreak havoc in Hell. Satan has moved on, but the attraction is still there; I really enjoyed how this one was resolved. We are also introduced to Timmy, who we learn in the mini-commentaries was someone who Comedy Central was very wary about, at least until he became super-popular. In other episodes, Cartman joins NAMBLA, Kenny becomes famous doing horrific stunts and, of course, Mr. Hanky returns to resurrect the true spirit of Christmas. In addition, we get a very off-beat episode that is a version of Great Expectations featuring Pip (and robot monkeys).
Every episode is fun, as are the mini-commentaries. Admittedly, this show is not for everyone, but if you have watched it on TV and have found it funny, this is a set well worth getting.
You have to Love South Park.......2007-03-18
I purchased season 1-4 and they were worth every cent spent. I could watch the same episode over and over and laugh my [...] off every time. I have to thank the creators of South Park for creating such funny characters and for making me laugh so much which is a hard thing to do. Every episode is priceless in its own way. I look forward to the new season, I cant imagine what more they can do but im sure the new episodes will have me rolling laughing. South Park is my all time favorite show because nobody has humor like South Park. I give every episode 5 stars.
AND I THOUGHT THE FUN WAS OVER!? ONE OF THE BEST.......2007-03-07
When you watch a show like South Park, you start thinking when are they going to run out of steam? Apparently not for a long time after this great season!
More Laughs; Less Poo.......2006-12-22
After the blow-out success of their movie, creators Stone and Parker realized just how much they could get away with in their show (there are some funny stories about that in the mini-commentaries to be found on these discs). They used this new-found power not just to reach new heights of depravity, but also to more effectively utilize the show as their own personal soapbox. A tactic like this would cripple shows of less caliber; it is what gave South Park its new legs.
Proving themselves capable of taking on any subject (and rivaling even some news programs with their blink-of-an-eye topicality), season four finds the kids waxing philosophic on hate crimes (Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000), the Elian Gonzales controversy (Quintuplets 2000), holistic medicine (Cherokee Hair Tampons), the Confederate flag (Chef Goes Nanners), the presidential election (Trapper Keeper), and, of course, religion, in the two-parter "Do the Handicapped Go to Hell?" & "Probably," which could be viewed as a quasi-sequel to the movie.
Most notably, this season introduces us to Timmy, a character that Comedy Central initially (and understandably) balked at. Thank God they let this vocabulary-challenged child on the air; who would've guessed that this unlikely staple to the show would prove to be much much more than a one-joke wonder.
The boys behind the screen also churned out some of their most famous episodes this year. Kenny gets grosser than ever (and Cartman slims down, maybe) in "Fat Camp." South Park goes rogue when the parents all leave town in "The Wacky Molestation Adventure." We are treated to a disturbing (and absolutely hilarious) look into the gory depths of Cartman's brain in "Helen Keller! The Musical." Mr. Hanky returns in "A Very Crappy Christmas." And, in arguably one of the shows best episodes ever (if not the most memorable), Cartman -- seeking more "mature" friends -- joins NAMBLA.
The show skids a few times in this season. Their recreation of Dickens' "Great Expectations" is amusing, but only gets laugh-worthy when the show strays from the script (Genesis machine! Robot monkeys!). Even on the mini-commentary (these guys aren't just a treat to listen to, they also give the inside scoop on a lot of things you'd want to know anyway), the creators admit "Chef Goes Nanners" has their most "bummer" ending. And although "4th Grade" is responsible for introducing us to Ms. Choksondik (and also for finally outing Mr. Garrison), it seems like one of the weakest episodes in this season.
But, then again, in a season starring Cheech and Chong, where we're treated to a reality-warping Kyle and Cartman as the tooth fairy, where a handicapped child gets a handicapped pet, and where the kids form a boy band with an unlikely name, the competition is notably fierce. Another great season for a stand-out show.

Comedy, Lenny Bruce once said, is tragedy plus time. Less than two months--hardly any time at all--had elapsed after September 11 when South Park broadcast an episode that addressed the tragedy. Wit and satire have their place, of course, but in the aftermath of epochal upheaval, sometimes good old-fashioned ridicule can diminish an enemy and help to heal a grieving nation. The Emmy-nominated episode "Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants" does the cathartic trick, as Cartman plays Bugs Bunny to Osama's Elmer Fudd with a series of humiliating pranks, one of which reveals Osama's miniscule Bin Laden. "This is how we deal with stuff," creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone remark during the "commentary-mini," a listening option on each episode. In this fifth season, "It Hits the Fan," to quote the title of the notorious season-opening episode, in which the "S" word is uttered a staggering 162 times. In another series milestone, "Kenny Dies," and actually stays dead (at least until season 6). One of South Park's best characters gets his own half hour in "Butters' Very Own Episode," while one of the series' absolute worst, "Towelie," also gets his. Over the course of these 14 episodes, many life lessons are learned about sex education ("Proper Condom Use"), prejudice ("Here Comes the Neighborhood") and stereotypes ("The Entity"). But perhaps the most valuable lesson is: "Don't tick off Cartman," as witness his diabolical revenge against the unfortunate ninth grader who rips him off in "Scott Tenorman Must Die."
The genius of South Park is its uncanny ability to make satiric hay with such otherwise sure-fire comedy killers as aborted fetuses, concentration camps, and cancer (which becomes instantly funny when the words "up the a**" are added to it, and funnier still when spoken by actual members of Radiohead). 2001 was a rough year for America, and while this country's "problems" provide Stone and Parker with a fount of material (most of it objectionable), we can take odd comfort that they remain vigilant in rooting for their "team." --Donald Liebenson

South Park 5th season.......2007-05-12
Buying from Amazon is a lot easier than bracing the crowds at the store. My husband loves South Park
Almost a classic.......2007-04-11
This pack features all the episodes from the infamous 5th season of Southpark. Nothing much to be said : love it or hate. It's the usual kind of fierce humour, definitely not the one for children. But if you're looking for something really politicaly incorrect with a twist a subversion, there it is.
A regret : no subtitles here. Shame for the non-native english speakers
i bought this for my boyfriend.......2007-03-19
i bought these series for my boyfriend who had taped on VHS every episode - but they were unlabelled so he was constantly rewinding and fast-forwarding videos to try and find a favourite episode for me to watch.
he had no idea i was buying this & i gave it to him for valentines day.. he was SO excited (to say the least). and as happy as i am that he now has all his favourite episodes for easy viewing.. and i am now forced to watch episode after episode after episode.
seriously - this is one of the best buys ever!!! especially for a south park over
its funny.......2007-03-16
If you watch south park you will obviously not be disappointed, this one shipped really fast, but some of the other ones take a day or two longer than the grace period. I just started watching season 7 and thats a real funny one.
Funny!.......2007-03-12
I am a fan of this series so I have nothing bad to say about any of the seasons!

The third time's the, for want of a better word, charm for South Park on DVD. Instead of mere episode intros as on the first two boxed sets, Trey Parker and Matt Stone finally oblige us with actual episode commentary, or, as they call it, "commentary-mini." On this optional audio track, Trey and Matt goof for about five minutes or so at the top of each episode, certifying some as favorites ("Tweek vs. Craig," "Jewbilee," and "Worldwide Recorder Concert," which is described as "a reverse after-school special from hell"), championing others popularly dismissed by South Park's otherwise loyal fans ("Jakovasaurs," "Sexual Harassment Panda"), and provocatively dismissing all of season 2.
The third season was frantically produced simultaneously with the feature film, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. This was the season, Trey proclaims, "where South Park turned the corner... and became good (as far as we were concerned)." Among their most inspired conceits is the so-called "Meteor Shower Party" trilogy, three episodes that unfold over the course of one night, each focusing on a different kid. "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery" pays homage to Hanna-Barbera-style animation and Scooby-Doo, recasting Korn as the Mystery Inc gang. "Rainforest Shmainforest," featuring a game Jennifer Aniston, cuts rainforest crusaders down to size. "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics" takes its irreverent cue from the album of the same name, and contains an outrageously obscure reference to the 1978 made-for-TV Star Wars Holiday Special. Throughout the season, South Park is, as usual, a gleeful equal-opportunity offender, but the show's true gonzo spirit is truly illustrated in such surreal touches as the employment of live action in "Tweek vs. Craig," the singing of "The Morning After" backwards to save Chef from the spell of "The Succubus," and the Seinfeld-worthy argument over whether the term should be "pirate ghosts" or "ghost pirates" in "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery." --Donald Liebenson

MORE EXTREMELY FUNNY SOUTH PARK!.......2007-03-07
This show never lets up. One of the greatest cartoons of all time and one of the most important too! Season 3 is just more classic hyjinks from da boys!
11yr old loves this show!.......2007-01-10
My 11 yr old daughter is addicted to this show thanks to her dad. I've never seen it but she was very excited to get these!
Oh My God! They Killed Kenny (over and over)!.......2006-12-17
Many times, something will appear in the media - be it a movie, comic book or TV show - that is shocking and winds up attracting the audience merely because of the shock value. Eventually, that quality goes away and the reader or viewer finds there is little else there. For a decade, South Park has defied this rule: not only does it continue to be edgy, but beyond the edginess, there is real humor and often a worthwhile statement as well.
In Season Three, the foursome of third-graders - Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny - get involved in new adventures. Once again, little is safe from creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone: among the subjects of their pointed humor: Pokemon, the rain forest, child molesters, Jar Jar Binks and the Y2K phenomenon (as well as Sally Struthers, God, Jesus and Civil War reenactors.
Probably my favorite episode of this season is Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery, a take-off on Scooby Doo cartoons featuring members of the band Korn in place of Fred, Shaggy, Daphne, Velma and Scooby. Who are the mysterious ghost pirates (or pirate ghosts) that haunt South Park? You'll have to watch and find out.
What also stands out about this season is what could be known as The Meteor Shower trilogy. In this series of three episodes, we follow different characters all on the night of a meteor shower: Cartman is babysat by Shelly (Stan's mean older sister); Stan is stuck in the basement at a party while ATF agents are ready to blow up the place thinking there is a cult inside; and Kenny and Kyle go to Jewbilee, a Jewish camp where Moses visits. More than any earlier episodes, this trilogy shows that Parker and Stone were willing to break free from their normal storytelling and do something different.
Happily, even the weaker episodes (of which there only a few - I'd rate Sexual Harassment Panda towards the bottom) are four-star quality, so this is definitely a five-star set overall. If you've never viewed South Park, this may be as good a place as any to start, but be prepared: if you offend easily, this is not the cartoon for you. If, on the other hand, you like shows that not only push the envelope but go outside it, South Park is a joy to watch.
Penis so small!.......2006-07-26
The 3rd season definitly has it's moments but it's another great season. unfortunately, it was also the last season to have Mary Kay Bergman (the person who played all of the women in South Park.) because later in 1999, she killed herself. when you watch any of the episodes on the 3rd disc, excluding Mr. Hankey's Christmas Special, you notice that the women of South Park don't speak a word. This also has the infamous Chinpokomon (Chinpoko means Penis) is in this season.
Great Lessons From South Park.......2006-06-30
I just started watching south park about 3 months ago, and like the simpsons, family guy, and futurama, i just couldnt get enough. I watched every single episode, and i bought all of the DVDs. Im reviewing this one because its one of my favorite seasons. Everyone can learn valuable lessons from south park, especially from this season. Such important lessons are: pandas make crappy sexual harassment teachers, god is a deformed squirrel, lizard, monkey thing, if Cartman had led the South in the Civil War, slavery would still be legal(especially for Stan and Kyle, because I hate those guys, just kidding) and all of those activists who protest the cutting of the rainforests can F--- themselves. After all, most of them have never been there. And finally, cats are really turned on by nature videos.
So enjoy this quality season of South Park.

Now that enough time has lapsed, we can all have a good laugh over South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone's amusing little April Fools prank, in which they kicked off the show's second season not with the conclusion to season one's cliffhanger that would reveal the identity of Cartman's father, but with an all-Terrance, all-Phillip, all-farting episode, "Not Without My Anus." The ensuing outcry illustrated just how seriously its devoted fans take South Park. There is little evidence of sophomore slump in this three-disc collection of 18 episodes that continue the coming-of-age trials of third graders Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny. There is considerable shock value just in the episode titles alone, among them "Cojoined Fetus Lady," "Merry Christmas, Charlie Manson," and the infamous "Cartman's Mom Is Still a Dirty Slut." But mostly, the episodes are just--in Cartman's words--hella funny. "Spookyfish" is a creepfest about a killer fish, possessed animals, and alien alter egos (in which the so-called Evil Cartman is much nicer than the real Cartman) presented in Spookyvision, with pictures of Barbra Streisand framing the screen. "Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls" is a hilarious send-up of the Sundance Film Festival and the indie film scene that marks the return of Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo, and ends with the burial of Robert Redford in excrement.
As always, hard-earned life lessons provide South Park with fertile territory for skewed and subversive social commentary. In "Chicken Lover," Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged is an argument against literacy. "Underwear Gnomes" makes a strong case for corporate takeover of local family business. It is difficult to respect Warner Bros.' "authoritah" with the scant DVD extras. There are no commentaries, but Parker and Stone are present to introduce most of the episodes, each of which they proclaim to be their favorite. But their incarnations as abusive retirement center entertainers and as the hosts of an all-bacon cooking show fall flat. Bring back Rootin'-Tootin' Trey Parker and Pistol-Slingin' Matt Stone from the Season One set! --Donald Liebenson

ANOTHER GREAT SEASON! THIS IS SOME FUNNY STUFF!.......2007-03-07
It is hard to believe that This show is only 10 years old! I feel like I have been watching it forever. This season, like all the ones that follow keep getting better.
1 of the best.......2007-02-13
This season of south park is very funny with some great episodes. Would have been nice to have more extras (commentrys etc.) but the documentary is fine and the intros are very funny. Highly recommended!
what can you say about South Park.......2007-02-07
I used to think that South Park was stupid and crass, boy was I wrong! The more I watched the more I realized that Trey and Matt were comic masters. The terrance and phillip not without my anus is hillarious and it just gets better from there. Timely, witty, biting social commentary is what I have come to expect from the boys and they deliver it in this season two package. The only thing I don't care for is the little Mat and Trey opening bits one time they are funny, after that annoying.
The best show ever seen.......2006-11-06
Well this tv show is so good cos if you like family guy and simpson's you'll love this cartoons too, you can enjoy this 4 guys and all kinds of things they do every single day, the only thing that is not so good is that you can only enjoy a few episodes from this season but its really fun and you wont get burried i really recomend you guys enjoy it
Season Two: More and More Snores.......2006-08-09
Even when they regularly borrow material from the Simpsons, the laughs are few and far between on South Park. But the award for the worst episode is when Kenny dies. Get animation on the cutting edge; buy a Family Guy DVD.

South Park exploded on the pop culture landscape like a dirty bomb in 1997, and the 13 episodes that comprise the groundbreaking first season have lost none of their subversive impact. If Seinfeld was a show about nothing, then South Park is a show about everything, from important moral lessons in compassion and tolerance to good old-fashioned animated character assassination (Kathie Lee Gifford in "Weight Gain 4000" and Barbra Streisand in "Mecha-Streisand"). Like an After School Special gone quite mad, profanity-spewing third-graders Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and the ill-fated Kenny navigate childhood in their mountain town. Nothing in South Park is sacred, and each episode has something to offend, from "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride" (featuring George Clooney as the voice of Sparky, the homosexual dog), to the Halloween episode "Pink Eye," in which Cartman dresses up as Adolph Hitler. Best not to even get started on Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Pooh, or the season finale cliffhanger, "Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut."
Each episode is preceded by a faux introduction by creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who proclaim every episode to be their favorite. Their incarnations as Rootin'-Tootin' Trey Parker and Pistol-Slingin' Matt Stone indicate that after South Park runs its course, they'd be great hosts of their own children's show, which--and this cannot be stressed strongly enough--South Park is not. Other extras include the South Park boys' appearance on the CableAce awards and "A South Park Thanksgiving," featuring Jay Leno, which aired exclusively on The Tonight Show. A minor annoyance is the slapdash packaging that mislabels the episodes ("Damien," for example, is on disc 3, not 2 as indicated). --Donald Liebenson
Customer Reviews:
Respect my authorita!!.......2007-06-22
I hate television. I use my TV for watching dvd's and playing video games and that's about it. Although I've never got into this whole "tv show" thing, I make an exception for this absolutely hilarious cartoon.
Season 1, I must say, isn't quite the best season but it's still gold. The very first episode, "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe" is still one of my all-time favorite episodes even though the animation is poor. Some of the extras are nice too. One of my favorites is the scene with Jay Leno. He's trying to have a decent conversation with the kids but all they do is ask about his chin. Cartman's rendition of "O Holy Night" is awesome too.
So why not 5 stars? Well, that would be due to Trey and Matt's commentary. They lead off each episode with some "witty" commentary. Their show may be funny, but they sure as heck don't seem funny themselves. Their commentary, with a few exceptions, is just stupid and the 'next scene' button on my remote won't let me skip it so I have to fast-forward through it. It's just annoying.
Juvenile Humor for Adults.......2007-06-18
I had only ever seen snippets of this show before getting this set. What I got confirmed my impressions. This is juvenile humor of the worst sort packaged for adults. It's also funny.
The kids of Southpark are not particularly likeable but they are fun to watch as they try to make sense of their own base desires and the dumb antics of their adults. There are casualties. Kenny manages to get killed off in just about every episode but he is right back in the next one ready to get killed again. Cartman reminds me of all the worst kids I knew as a kid. Kyle and Stan have their bad points as well but are generally better adjusted.
The humor would, I hope, pass right over the heads of most kids but this show is not meant for kids...except for the troublesome ones who never grew up.
Episode synopses follow:
Cartman Gets an Anal Probe - Crop circles, abducted kids, UFOs and butchered bovines are clues that Cartman's anal probe was not just a bad dream
Volcano- a hunting trip gone horribly wrong goes horribly wrong when a volcano threatens to kill the kids and destroy Southpark
Weight Gain 4000 - When Cartman cheats on an essay, he wins a national award to be presented by Kathy Lee Gifford. That results in Cartman making a fool of himself and the loony gay teacher deciding to pull of an assassination attempt.
Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride - Stan gets a new dog who shows an unfortunate tendency to mount the male dogs of other kids. This causes plenty of embarrassment for the kids and the dog who runs away to a gay animal sanctuary.
An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig - Kyle gets a new pet elephant but is troubled because it is too big to be convenient. He decides to splice the elephant with a pot bellied pig. Instead of this, a visit to a neighboring genetic center results in a terrible mutant.
Death - Stan has a grandpa who is so old that he wants to die. He requests assisted suicide but the kids are reluctant. They finally agree and the grim reaper show up to set them straight.
Pinkeye - Earlier than usual, Kenny is killed by the falling MIR space station. To everyone's surprise, he survives being killed and becomes a zombie who proceeds to make everyone else a zombie too.
Starvin Marvin - The kids see an add for starving Ethiopians just before Thanksgiving. They decide to adopt a kid so that they can get the watch offer. Instead of getting the watch, though, they get a starving kid.
Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo - Kyle is bummed at Christmas time because he is Jewish. That leads him to come up with an imaginary friend who is not so imaginary and very troublesome.
Damien - Things get even screwier than normal when a new kid named Damien shows up at school. This Damien is the son of Satan and the stage is set for a conflict between good and evil.
Tom's Rhinoplasty - Mr Garrison decides to have some cosmetic surgery and a substitute arrives to takes his place. Since she is a hottie, chaos ensues.
Mecha Streisand - The boys find a strange artifact at an archeological site. This episode's chaos is let loose when Barbara Streisand will do anything to get it. Getting it changes her into a giant monster.
Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut - The kids are worried because Cartman is acting more weird than normal. It turns out that he is wondering who his father is. He then proceeds on a wild goose chase trying to find his father. It's a cliffhanger.

THE FUNNIEST CARTOON SINCE BUGS BUNNY!.......2007-03-07
I wish they had included the Spirit of Chrismas on this set?! I'm kinda mad I would have to buy the Greatest hits DVD to get it when I own all the other episodes! Please put it on one of the last remaining seasons so the people who support this series can have it too! Any way....This is where it all started. This show just keeps getting better and better. Start with this set and work your way through all the seasons! Dude, it's totally awesome!
South Park.......2007-02-12
Nine seasons later, this is still the season with the episodes I watch the most. With the 10th season already in process, there are a number of sets and best ofs you can get. My recommendation is to steer past the best ofs if you are at all a fan or think you'll be a fan of the show. Watch a friend's season or so before buying a set. The Season 1 to 5 set is great, though costly (and sometimes not less than the individual DVD seasons). There undoubtedly will be a Season 6 to 10 set too, and it could save some money if its priced right.

Customer Reviews:
The movie title alone, takes two hours to say.......2007-07-05
Before 'Scary Movie' the Wayans Brothers made this movie, 'Don't Be a Menace'. It is a spoof on movies like 'Boyz N the Hood' and 'Menace II Society', two great movies about the hoods in Los Angeles. I saw this movie when it first was released in theaters and now have watched this about 10 or 15 times. There's tons of crude humor, tons of profanity, tons of explicit sexual references and even some mock drug use. Everything you would expect to come out the pen of a Wayans brother. Don't get me wrong, they are talented guys and I enjoy watching their (Shawn and Marlon) show from time to time, but they're not exactly the African-American Woody Allens. However, I do have to give it up for their (sometimes witty) jabs at those "Growin' Up in Da Hood" dramas.
There are some genuinely funny moments that I will always like: Bernie Mac's cameo as the black cop who hates anything and anybody black, Suli McCullough as the wheelchair bound Crazy Legs doing his MC Hammer "U Can't Touch This" number, the "Hurry Up and Buy!" scene at the convenience store, Loc Dog (Marlon Wayans) applying for a job at the DMV. There are more very funny gags worth a barrel of laughs, but there are also moments where they simply push the crudeness envelope and deliver a lot more groans than laughs. There's one scene where Ashtray (Shawn Wayans) and Dashiki (Tracey Cherelle Jones) are having foreplay which wasn't all that appealing.
Marlon's character is obnoxious at times. He's another comic actor who sometimes tries too hard to be funny and simply hams it up. Helen Martin ("227") steals the show as the pot-smoking grandmother. You can, maybe, consider this a hit-or-miss comedy. But there are a good enough amount of hits to overshadow the misses. It's still worth watching and has its memorable moments.
Hilarious.......2007-05-12
Somehow a lot of people dont know about this movie, but it is hilarious.
DA Funniest S***!!!!!.......2006-07-01
Man dis has got to be da funniest movie I have seen by da Wayan Bros. It kinda goes a lil to far somtimes but dats da funny part. Da movie is basically about a guy named Ashtre who goes back to da hood to live wit his dad who is only about 1 year or 2 years older and from there da crudeness begins. Da movie is extremely hilarious it mostly makes fun of movies such as "Menace II Society", "South Central" etc. u know gang banger movies. U will have a lot of laughs wen u watch so watch it right away!!!
Lots of Laughs @ Tha Hoods Expense.......2006-02-23
This is a great parody of all the hood movies that came out in the early 90's. "Don't Be a Menace" throws laughs at Hood Flicks such as "Juice", "Menace To Society", & "Boyz In Da Hood". So if u haven't seen those movies, you might not understand a lot of the comedy in this....but if u have seen em, check this out!
MAN I'LL SUCK YA D!CK MAN!.......2006-01-02
The funniest and crudest movie i have ever seen. If you have a sense of humor get this movie. This is by FAR the funniest movie i have ever seen. Its all basically about a man named Ashtre, who goes back to the hood to live with his father (who is younger than him in maturity.)
The movie has so many funny parts mocking the hood. In one party scene is shows three black men with their pants down and their boxers showing (making fun of the way people these days wear their pants so low.)
My favorite part of the movie is when a cracked-up man goes to Marlon Wayans and asks for money. When marlon (Loco) says no, the man replies "Man, ill suck ya dick man. Then you see Loco and the man go behind a truck and loco come out and zipper his pants up.
The movie is hysterical. You would definitely enjoy if you enjoyed movies such as:
-The scary movie series
-Dude, wheres my car?
-white chicks
-half baked
-beavis and butthead do america\
and many more!!

<3 Southpark, BUT.............2007-04-19
I know prices on amazon change quite often, but it could save you $50 to look. I found this 5 season set for $175.00, but by buying each season individually it's around $125. Just a heads up.
Still 5 Stars, because you can't really put a price on hours of laughter.
South Park Rocks!.......2007-04-10
These shows are wonderful, but you can buy the first five seasons on iTunes cheaper.
Price gouging!.......2006-11-21
$174.99 is ridiculous! You guys keep upping the price! I paid $114.99 elsewhere.
Great!.......2006-11-05
I wont say more! ;-) It is a great show and this DVD collection is just what the fan needs! :-)
Great Show, Buy the Seasons Separately Though.......2006-07-26
It ends up that the 1st 5 seasons separately purchased end up being around $20 cheaper than this bundle. This show is amazing, but you could buy the South Park Movie DVD along with the seasons and it'd still be cheaper than this bundle.
