This is one hot DVD. Maxim UK have been producing similar DVDs for years, but this one is def better! They should do reviews of other DVDs like Maxim UK does .. I bought all the DVDs they reviewed .. Hip Hop Honeys, and even better is Wild Girls: Thailand!! the last one is a must see! Amazon's got it!

Not Bad........2005-01-04

Not bad. The women are stunning, but there's too much talk in between the features. I did like the interviews with the models, especially the "have you ever kissed a girl?" question. I'd buy it again, but the Sports Illustrated DVDs are still better.

A fair imitation of Sports illustrated swimsuit DVDs.......2004-10-24

A decent DVD with beautiful girls and a good picture quality, even if not a level of the DVDs of Sports Illustrated swimsuit.

Maxim Swimsuit DVD.......2004-10-06

This is Maxim's first foray into the DVD market. A strong DVD in this genre. The girls are great, very hot. Good extras and apparently Region Free! Could certainly use less commentary from the Maxim staff, but all-in-all a very watchable DVD for what it is.

If you have seen previous swimsuit editions then you know that they range from dull to mediocre. Mostly because earlier editions have been facilitated to resemble documentaries. Dedicating much of the time to depict for us how incredibly rich a supermodels personality is, interviews, and contemplating such tintilating subjects such as 'what do men want'. A subject aparently alien to the earlier producers since their editions are so outright boring.

This edition: they got it right and produced an over the top compilation. Gobs of scintilation with hotest women on the planet. For once some one realized that perhaps people would be interested in just watching supermodels wear an asortment of industries sexiest swim wear while posing provocatively. As aposed to talking about it. The production by far supersedes the previous releases in both the content and the quality of the DVD.

Latin DVD : the best DVD of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.......2003-01-02

In my opinion, the best DVD of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit is this one of 2002 : its segments, amalgamated by the leitmotiv of the latin atmosphere with its images , colours and musics, are disposed with order and well presented by Yamila Diaz .
The quality of the photography is excellent and better than in other DVDs of SI.

A SPLENDID TROPICAL VACATION.......2002-06-06

Set in Latin America, "SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SWIMSUIT 2002" is the perfect antidote to, well, just about everything that's unsettling, disturbing and ugly. There's no story here, just a bevy of impossibly beautiful and seemingly natural young women in exotic locations posing for the annual "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit issue. Yamila Diaz-Rahi serves as on screen host in this slick production that tags along with 16 young women (including Josie Maran, Molly Sims, Heidi Klum, Shakara Ledars and Petra Nemcova) on their private photo shoots in Brazil, Guatamala, Costa Rica, Argentina and other Latin hot spots. This easy on the eye 60 minute digital distraction makes the case that if beauty is only skin deep, that is, indeed, deep enough.

This DVD covering the 2002 swimsuit edition is better than a plate of warm Mrs. Field's cookies.

Set in Latin America, we visit with the most scorching hot girls in the world on their personal photo shoots. A majority of the models are latin as well. Each chapter seemingly becomes better than the one before, and I found myself pondering which girl is really the most beautiful. Is it possible to determine? It's like trying all the fruits of the earth and loving each one for a different reason. I had to start from the beginning more than once to see if they were all as equally talented as I remembered. I even ran through the entire DVD in super slow mode. It was my day off.

Is it too late to change my career to oil boy? Will I ever have the good fortune to cross paths with Melissa Keller? Does Petra Nemcova like the Yankees too? These are questions I keep running through my head as I get ready for another day. A day I will be sure to appreciate the simplest things in life (like a chili pepper bikini) thanks to this DVD.

this dvd was good for the whole thing about the divas and the shoot. but i didnt really like the match selection i would take out the halloween fun with torrie and Dawn marie because that was gay, also i would take out the burbon street bikkini match cuz that was stupid it just showed highlights, the last thing i would take out is the sable invtational because that was also gay. i would replace them with these SmackDown: Shaniqua vs Nidia & Torrie Wilson, Raw: Fatal Four Way to Determine #1 Contender for WWE WOmens Championship at Survivor Series, Gail vs Lita vs Victoria vs Trish, the last is SmackDown: Torrie Wilson vs Nidia qith SAble as the specail Referre

"Divas South Of The Border" Review.......2005-09-11

All of the WWE's sexiest females head to Mexico for the 2004 photo shoot. It's eye candy galore as Trish Stratus, Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson, Sable, Lita, Dawn Marie, Victoria, Ivory, Nidia, Miss Jackie, Molly, Gail Kim, Jacqueline, and Jazz pose for provactive photographs while commenting on the importance of this magazine on their careers. If you're expecting anything more than a bunch of gorgeous ladies posing in bikinis on the beach then save your money.

Not enough action!.......2005-09-03

WWE divas south of the border was not that great.......2005-04-05

Is it just me or is trish stratus the hottest chick in whole friggin world or what. I was most dazzled by the Trish cam in the fetures because you get a close up of her beatiful arse which made me happy. She had some great shots with bikini which was great. I would have to say that Ivory was second best on this DVD. She had a great figure in some of the shoots. Ivory is a beatiful woman who deserves to be not infront of the camera posing but getting back in the ring insted of hosting WWE the experience. Stacy looked okay but not dazzling. It was the first time i saw victoria in bikini and let me tell you she looked magnificent. Its like she was born to be in a two piece. Litas shoots were better than the past diva DVDs because the settings of hers were great, she was in the tropical side of mexico and on the beach, if it werent for the setting it would be average but... what do ya know it wasn't, the bikini was great too by the way. Forget Torrie, Jazz, Sable, Nidia, Miss Jackie, they okay but not as good as the rest and most difinity was not as good as TRISH & IVORY, because they were just so hot in every single way.

The features sucked and the interviews about being in the WWE was just stupid. Thats all they talked about on the friggin DVD. A must-see on the extras is the Trish cam, you see a very good shot of her arse and that my friend priceless.

Overall: This DVD is not worth getting, not even for Trish & Ivory. Even though they were the hottest of the lot. Its basically eye candy and no nudity witch makes me mad. Just buy and porno because you know its gonna be way better.

If there were a porno of Trish & Ivory making out in a tub naked and touching eachother, that would be the best friggin DVD in the whole world...trush me i am not kidding.

My advice get the very first diva dvd, you know the "carribean" one. Its got Trish looking amazing as all way and a surprisingly looking Ivory who looks the best I have ever seen her before. Trust me if see her in that then you will forever worship her.

This DVD is the best Swimsuit that there has ever been. Marisa Miller takes the screen. Really all I watch is Idaho ( think thats it I forgot). and the body painting, Because these are the only section Marisa is in. hehe. Marisa Miller was the 1 reason I bought this dvd. I strongly recommend it to anyone.

Very Sexy! Especially the Body Painting!.......2005-01-31

I watched this video in mixed company and I ended up liking it much more than I thought I would. The movie is hosted by Melissa Keller, who is a cute-as-a-button blonde supermodel who wears a two-piece string bikini while she's hosting (which was OK by me), and Jake Johannsen, a bearded comedian who says the stupid sexist things that every guy is thinking, but that Melissa dismisses as she quickly cuts to the next scene.

Of the segments with bikinis, my favorite was the first where Marissa Miller and Melissa Keller both wake up early near Iowa cornfields - and wear gauzy see-through top swimsuits - where the girls might as well have been topless for all that was revealed. But the women soldier on despite the cold and lack of sleep, and they genuine appear to enjoy what they're doing, as do the rest of the girls in this video.

There's a nice segment with Anna Kournikova and Serena Williams also in swimsuits. Anna looked every bit as good in a white bikini as she did on the wall poster in my baby brother's room. And Serena looked like a younger - and just as sexy -- version of Tina Turner! She has Tina's great hips - and Tina's million dollar legs. (Must've come from all that tennis, huh?)

To commemorate the 40th Anniversary Swimsuit Edition (of the magazine), a Who's Who of ex-swimsuit models was assembled, including Elle McPherson, Paulina Porozkova, Christie Brinkley, Tyra Banks, and my favorite, Cheryl Tiegs. Elle especially looked great (as she does modeling her lingerie line which is available here on Amazon). Cheryl, unfortunately, was starting to age a bit, but parts of her - her magnificent breasts, especially - were every bit as beautiful peeking out over her banded-waistband swimsuit as they did when she emerged from the water in a similar outfit years-ago on the cover of SI (Sports Illustrated).

The sexiest scene, though, was the body painting segment where selected girls endure eight hours to have their bathing suits painted on. It must've been pretty tiresome to stand for that length of time without moving. And the funny parts of the scene come when the women also inform us that it's necessary to shave every bit of hair, and when one girl - Melissa, I believe - squirms when the artists apply that last bit of paint deeply between her cheeks! Amazingly, when their painted bikinis are done, it's actually hard to tell that the girls are completely naked underneath. Fortunately, the women with the perkiest breasts were selected to undergo this transformation, so they look every bit as supported as they would've if their bathing suit tops had been real!

Like many videos of this type, there aren't any lengthy views of the girls in selected poses (other than the still photographs flashed on screen). Everything seems like behind-the-scenes footage. So if you were to imagine watching a documentary on how to shoot a `Sports Illustrated' Swimsuit magazine edition, I think you'll know what to expect. I ended up liking this disc a lot! I hope you will too!

Numbnut host alongside Melissa Keller.......2004-11-19

Melissa Keller and her joke of a comedian sidekick [Jake Johannsen] head up this years swimsuit fiesta to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Swimsuit Special, which is aptly titled "American Beauty"

DVD Content... Once again for the 2004 DVD the quality is right up there with previous years. Some of the hottest ladies in the land of freedom fighters turn up for this years show off, and amoungst all the bad jokes from Johannsen the other talent is pretty damn good. Once again repeat performances from Melissa herself, Molly Sims, Bridget Hall and last years cover Petra Nemcova really fill your screen with fantastic images. In addition guest appearances from tennis aces Serena Williams and Anna Kornikova really like to steam up the camera with their saucy off court attire. The disc also features a fantastic "Hall of Fame" chapter which takes us back to the girls who made the SI Swimsuit specials legendary, including Christie Brinkley, Tyra Banks and Australia's favourite "Body", Elle MacPherson.

DVD Quality... There's nothing bad about this disc at all, if it's entirely possible it could be better quality than last years disc. Just sit back and enjoy the show.

Overview... The only thing that is really dissapointing with these SI Swimsuit editions is the choice of host, or in this case the co-host. Why do they keep hiring these supposedly funny comedians?? Does the SI team want to degrade the quality of presentation? Melissa Keller could have done a fantastic job [like Rachel Hunter from last year] in providing the useful information to viewers without the pathetic comic sidekick. It's best to turn the volume off for those portions of the show and feast your eyes on Ms Keller.

for a Swimsuit DVD. The same boring shlock they've been feeding us for years, and I own all of SIs videos since 1996 (so that makes me the idiot, I guess). Want a fresh look at swimsuit dvds? Check out Maxim's new DVD. A better value for the dollar.

Posing Pets abound on this video. But many of them have that puffy-haired appearance, if you know what I mean. Moreover, their swimsuits look dated, envoking memories of 'Top Gun' and Duran Duran but little else. Sure, there is the occasional 'that's kind of sexy' skit. Overall, I'd say skip it and don't lose any sleep.

I would recommed this DVD to all. All ladies in this feature are very attractive. The girl/girl scenes are very tame. Two ladies enjoy a picnic on each other thats amusing. The dance scenes with six girls on screen at the same time are inticing. You wont be disapointed.

Better host this year...........2004-11-19

SI Swimsuit 2003 starts off with the gorgeous Rachel Hunter at the famous Hotel del Coronado [San Diego], one of the better selections for host[ess] on these discs as she brings a natural element to the whole presentation and it's enjoyable to sit there and watch her narate, especially in the first few minutes of the DVD as she is being bodypainted..

DVD Content... Once again the SI team has whisked us away to exotic parts of the world. You won't be disappointed with any of the selections made and the scenery is at times breath taking! [it's a given though, right?] In this particular edition it's focused [excuse the pun] more on the models rather than photographers. I felt that with the 2001 edition that they were shooting alot of footage about the photographers and what they do rather than the photographs they were taking. Featuring 19 of the worlds beautiful women including Molly Sims, Bridget Hall, Daniela Pestova, Petra Nemcova, Audrey Quock, Yamila, Melissa Keller and Australia's very own Sara O'Hare you'll enjoy seeing them in a variety of costumes and locations.

DVD Quality... This DVD outstrips the quality in both audio and visual senses in comparison to my review on the 2001 DVD. Images are sharp and crisp with vibrant colours that really reflect the environments these ladies are in. A nifty feature that wasn't utilised would have been mulitple camera angles, which would have made some shoots more intersting and giving a different perspective on what was going on. Audio quality is a vast improvement over the 2001 disc as well. It is mixed rather well with a decent soundtrack and some of the dialog from the models, such as Molly Sims, is at times quite entertaining! The outtakes on the disc aren't that special, it's basically a couple of minutes tacked onto the end of the show that made it onto the cutting room floor by the looks of it. Unfortunately not the "bloopers reel" that i was hoping for.

Overview... In all, this is presentation of the Swimsuit Collection for 2003 is quite a solid effort. Do youself a favour and get this disc if you're a keen follower of the magazine/dvd collection.

No where as good as 2002 edition.......2003-03-12

No Heidi, Elsa, or Yamila in this edition. Aside from Molly Sims and Daniela it is comprized entirely of new faces, who for the most part do nothing for me.

The 2001 edition of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit video was produced to be shown on MTV, but except for brief appearances by an MTV staff person, who provides narration, the format is entirely familiar. Beautiful women travel to exotic locations, eccentric and demanding photographers take a gazillion photographs of them, and the editors of the magazine engage in a painstaking process to figure out which photos measure up to the standards of the fabled swimsuit issue. This edition of the annual video contains a brief look back at the magazine's tradition of showcasing swimsuit models as well as a segment showing some problems faced in past years (such as a capsizing boat that scuttled a photographer and thousands of dollars worth of equipment). But for the most part the camera lingers over the bodies of more than a dozen models, including Josie Maran, Heidi Klum, Daniela Pestova, Michelle Behennah, and Molly Sims. Clad in the tiniest and tightest swimsuits imaginable, the women are seen posing--and occasionally talking about how much work posing is--in locations ranging from Las Vegas to Malaysia to Greece to Tunisia. The video is, as one might expect, very professionally produced, and while it contains no real surprises, it's a suitable tribute to the annual magazine issue that has become an American institution. --Robert J. Great DVD .. but .........2006-06-11

It feels more like a "making-of" documentary than a sexy video. Almost clinincal in its analysis of the shoots, so called imaginary problems, dizzy models complaining, etc .. If I buy a swimsuit video, I want the girls to be hot and posing .. like in the "Wild Girls: Thailand" DVD .. a bit diff, but hot nonetheless.

I really was looking forward watching this edition of Sports Illustrated,because I have all the previous editions,and because I am a big Josie Maran fan(I think she is one of the sexiest and most beautiful women ever).
But how disappointed I was for two main reasons,
Firstly,the 'uncensored' tag is totally misleading. One would be excused for dispensing quickly of few $$$ without a thought just for this word alone,but this is all a marketing hype!I wonder what would the censored version be like??? Shooting fully clothed in the Artic??
Secondly, if you expect to be watching good photography, and lingering shots of these gorgeous women in bikinis,you will be sorely disappointed. This whole edition looks like behind the scene documentary for the magazine shoot, and what shots of models we have are annoyingly edited and are few seconds long at most. The last thing on my mind when I bought this DVD, was to hear photgraphers, producers and models talk and talk...
So careful not to believe the uncensored claim, and if you have the previous editions, then it is ok to buy this one too to complete the collection, but it will certainly be the weakest one by far.

Aesthetically pleasing.........yes!.......2003-01-08

DVD Content.. Some of the world's most beautiful models are photographed and filmed. It's all good! I've been a fan of the SI Swimsuit edition for many years. So I can't complain about the content of the DVD [5 stars there]. The locations around the world are fascinating and enlightening, I was making mental notes along the way to travel to these places. Being an amateur photographer myself, I found it quite un-orthodox that one of the professional photographers would use an AF 35mm Compact camera for photos used in the magazine. Interesting.....

DVD Quality.. Unfortunately the quality could have been better. For the die-hard DVD enthusiast, who expect the highest quality, the picture and audio quality are not quite up to par. During the main scenes are too bad, the cut and fade sequences you can see quite noticeable compression artefacts. It's quite annoying. Similar to a good quality MPEG from the internet. Sound is also a bit sketchy, it has been mastered too loudly and quite often you get that shrill "SSSS" noise when dialogue starting with "S" is spoken. It's a similar effect to a program on TV that isn't quite tuned properly. Also, very annoying. It could just be that the US have a different [read: higher] level of volume to Australian standards, I don't know....

However, I'm still going to buy the other DVD's in the series. Having taped the original 1994 program on my fathers old Mono BETAMAX VCR when I was 14, I'd like to get them in much better quality. Hopefully the quality of the other DVD's will be a bit better....there's only one way to find out. It's just a pity that the 1994 show isn't on DVD....

Great DVD, if you're a photographer.......2002-02-24

...I think it's the best in the Sports Illustrated series, and I have all of them. But I'm a photographer, and the reason I think it's good is because there's lots of footage here of the photographers working with the models. There's a segment on Terry Richardson and how he often uses point and shoot cameras, which I found very interesting. The beautiful women are still there, and I get to watch some of the best photographers in the world work. I think it's great. The most irritating part of this DVD for me was the quick MTV cuts and the parts where they made the image roll as if the vertical hold had gone haywire on the TV set. That was just annoying.

Lamest Video Yet!.......2002-01-10

Talk about rewarding the uninvolved!! The main characters in this video are the behind the scenes people. Althought they do contribute and have valid input to the video their portion of the content should be about 5%. IMHO SI Swimsuit Edition is about the MODELS wearing swimsuits and LESS. UNCENCORED??? no way this is a valid PG. I do not want to hear stories about models dancing naked on the tables, I want to see video of it.

Yet another attempt by the WWE to tell us what we want by throwing all of these non-wrestling, non-experienced, non-skilled women in our face and calling them divas. Ivory, Victoria, Lita, and Trish are the only true wrestling divas here; all the new contest winning (and losing) women are no different from the ho's the Godfather used to bring to the ring with him.
Boring, slow paced, unimaginative content that just mimics the DVD from last year. Some ok scenes here and there, but very low quality content overall. Don't expect to see any good matches on the 'extras' menu; remember, they fired the good wrestling divas in order to hire the non-wrestling ho's.

Hot bodies, hot beaches never fail.......2005-05-01

Overall the Divas 2005 DVD was another great product. The only major exception is Jonathan Coachman. How does this guy still have a job with WWE. He was annoying, aggravating, and a major pissant just even as narrator. One point of the DVD finds himself playing photographer trying to find "the next hot diva" which at this he photographs a 9-year old little girl coming out the pool and he seems to be enjoying it. I'm glad Trish temporarily shut him up for a while. And speaking of Trish, once again she has to single-handly save the Divas franchise despite not making the cover of the DVD or magazine spread. Trish's body always looks the best and that will never change. I got the combo from Shopzone.com for 18 bucks. Besides Trish, the usual divas like Stacy and Torrie delivered too, but some of the new girls really surprised me. Lilian Garcia.......WOW what a goddess, she needs to do more shoots in the future and keep that healthy body in check. Even with Coach's annoyance, Viva Las Divas proves that hot bodies and hot, sandy beaches always make a great combination. I even comprised a list of the best bodies on the DVD/Magazine.

Side Note: This DVD is also the last time we see Amy Weber before her departure so if you're a Amy fan then this DVD will help you relieve your stress of missing Amy.

I agree with an earlier poster, if I want to see hot women on DVD, I'd get some porn. Throw in the fact that the greatest Diva of all, Molly Holly, isn't on here (we'll miss you Molly), and you should save your money..............to spend on a Kurt Angle DVD. The public demands it, oh it's true, we want a DVD dedicated to the most celebrated real athlete in WWF history, our Olympic hero. It should be three disks:

One of Angle with hair (with matches against Jericho, Austin, Benoit, Rock and the Armageddon 6 man Hell in a Cell and more)

One of Angle bald (with matches against Benoit, Hogan, Guerrero, tag team matches with Benoit and more)

One dedicated to great Angle promos - (the early years, with Stephanie McMahon, Team ECK- (Edge Christian and Kurt), the Invasion era with Austin, Team Angle and more)

I bet a dollar and a donut it will far outsell this DVD. If I wanted to see talentless bimbos, I'd go down to the Crazy Horse. Otherwise, Anglemania must continue to run wild.
