Description
A classic twosome from Sideshow Cinema! LOONS - Jeff Coukos thought he had a nice normal family. After getting engaged to a nice, normal woman and bringing her home to meet his nice, normal mother, Jeff's safe little world comes crumbling down around him. His mother insists that he can't get married, he finds he has an older brother in an insane asylum that he's never known, and best of all, his family has been under a witches curse for the past 400 years. Jeff, of course, doesn't believe in curses, until the witch that cursed them is brought back to life to continue her revenge upon his family. And where do those clowns keep coming from? Loons is a bewitching comedy that will put a spell of laughter on you! CUTTHROATS - Don Drinkwater just can't get any sleep. It isn't helping that things are so hard at work lately, with their old boss getting replaced by a new, ruthless one and his co-workers, who when not fighting among themselves are trying to stab Don in the back. He tries to cure his insomnia with the use of a sound recording of ocean waves, and it works! Unfortunately, things go from bad to worse in the office, and it's getting hard to tell what's real from what's surreal. Cutthroats is a nightmare comedy of downsizing and office politics that'll make your job look good!

3 out of 5 stars Funny B movies!.......2004-01-01

Although these two have rock bottom budgets, they are shot on film, not video. If you like ridiculous and absurd humor with a definite B movie atmosphere, these two flicks are a lot of fun. Loons is the better of the two, with the longest prologue I've ever seen, but it's quite a funny one. The cast in both films are decent actors and if you can forget about mainstream big budgets and gloss, you can really get into the them. I enjoyed them both and had some good laughs. No vulgar stuff or toilet humor, either. What a relief!
