    This is one of a series, and it is kind of a slapstick comedy. Not paced really fast, but is amusing. Buy it used :) I liked it enough to buy a couple more episodes....used.

        Lotta loves April 1st; Daisy Town dreads it because of her April Fools pranks. Luck is summoned to the tent of a visiting Russian prince, and lets Lotta come along. The Prince appoints Luke as his bodyguard and takes great interest in Lotta. Trouble starts when the Prince and his fianc_(who is jealous of Lotta) fight. The Prince declares that he'll marry Lotta instead. The Princess declares that she too will marry a "commoner," Lucky Luke! When Luke declines the offer, the Prince challenges Luke to a duel, and Lotta withdraws her acceptance of marriage - but both are sentenced to death! Just before they are beheaded, Luke turns to Lotta and says, "April Fools!" The Russians are hired actors. Lotta vows to get even with Luke!

          Lucky Luke returns to a deserted Daisy Town after tracking the Daltons. He hallucinates while in the desert following a snakebite, but wakes up after witnessing his own funeral. The Daltons come across him and leave him to die while they go on to Daisy Town to pillage and plunder. When Lotta finds out about Luke's condition, she tries to rescue him with a snakebite antidote, but the Daltons put her in jail when they learn what she plans to do. In the end, Luke makes the Daltons make restitution to the town

          Lucky Luke: Volume 6: Luke's Fiancée

          In this episode, volume 6, Luke's vacation is cut short when he is enlisted to bring back some mail order brides back from the east to Purgatory. (Purgatory is the name of the town and a lot of good puns are in this episode.) Luke picks up the women; unaware that one of them, Jenny, is a bank robber. Jenny is impressed with Lucky Luke and decides to become the perfect bride once she's in Purgatory.

          Be careful, the DVD appears to have no regional code (as stated on the cover) - it plays fine on my non-regional DVD player but will not play on my older one.

            My grandson adores this movie. He makes me replay the scene where the horse Jolly Jumper kicks the bad guy in the pants over and over and laughs so hard. My husband and I both also really like it. It has a nice prospective of being told by the horse. It's really funny and a western.

            5 out of 5 stars Faster Than His Own Shadow.......2002-01-05

            Terence Hill, as Lucky Luke, is at it again in the movie where he is the fastest gun in the west - maybe everywhere. He draws faster than his own shadow - now that's fast. He is the sheriff of Daisy Town and with his talking horse (Jolly Jumper) he runs a tight ship. The Dalton Brothers show up, stir up the Indians and the townsfolk's and then Luke has his hands full.

            The movie is full of puns and I think Jolly Jumper has some of the best one-liners. Roger Miller sings the title song and is the voice of Jolly Jumper. Jolly Jumper talks more than Lucky Luke does.

            I would recommend this movie to anyone that enjoys Western Comedies or Western Spoofs. The quality of the DVD is excellent, the music is good and acting is decent.

            Our first experience with Lucky Luke was the animated movie. What a great flick! Much to our dismay, this movie doesn't hold up. There are some mildly funny parts and some well-trained horses. Beyond that, the story is wanting and the acting is sub-par. Not worth the purchase.

            The film has some good elements, but not enough humor and not enough of Hill's well-liked character. Instead, there is too much with side characters of lesser interest. Even though I like "Lotta Legs", the film really fails to deliver for fans who were hoping for another entry in Terence Hill's famous western spoof genre. The film is of clear interest, however, to youngsters who like horses.

              Lucky Luke: Volume 5: Caffe Ole

              This is the fifth in the Lucky Luke series, staring Terence Hill. In this episode, Daisy Town runs out of coffee and the town's folks demand that Lucky do something. In addition, Susan B. Anthony arrives and stirs up trouble by claming that Lotta Legs can do a better job as sheriff. Luke has no problem with this and turns over his badge to Lotta and takes on being the saloonkeeper - with a flair of keeping the place clean (the cowboys must take off their boots before walking on his floor.) Lotta is searching for the coffee, and soon discovers that Valdez, who is not imitated by a female sheriff, has taken all of the coffee.

              Sit back, pour a cup of coffee, and enjoy this episode of Luck Luke. Valdez turns out to be a very famous coffee man of our time.
