Shut the f*@$ up Tegan!.......2007-02-15
When I bought this the only CD of Tegan And Sara's I had heard was So Jealous. So, of course, I was quite pleased with the song selection. However, since then I've heard everything else they've done and their set really kind of disappoints me now. Make no mistake, they showcase their talent perfectly throughout the show but come on, any fan of T&S is sure to have a few gripes about the setlist. Also, while never having seen them live (regretfully), hearing the banter between songs, like one reviewer said, would have been great. Never fear though, the various behind the scenes footage is worth the price alone and, honestly, serves as my favorite part of this DVD.
It's Not Fun, Don't Do It! is one of those music DVDs that has so much going for it that you'll be able to watch it quite a few times before you even begin to feel bored with it. Whether you're watching the show, either one of the behind the scenes features, the music videos, or even the puppet shows, you'll never once find yourself checking your watch or anything else. Beginner or longtime fan, It's Not Fun, Don't Do It! is sure to have something for all types of fans.
great concert dvd with lots of extras.......2006-12-24
Tegan and Sara's live dvd "It's not fun, don't do it!" is really good.
It contains a live concert with about half the songs off their latest album "So Jealous", and about 4 from the album before that "If it was you" and I think about 3 from their first album. I own the two mentioned but not their first one.
Anyway the live concert is great. The sound, visuals, and camera angles are perfect for you feeling that you are at the show.
There is also a cool "It's not fun, don't do it!" movie by Tegan and Sara about them touring. As well as a cool movie of the making of "So Jealous" their most recent cd.
There is also a cool about 30 min segment of pictures they have taken over the years touring and Tegan and Sara describing what they mean to them.
Also there are music videos from the album "So Jealous":
speak slow
walking with a ghost
videos from the album "If it was you"
monday monday monday
i hear noises
and a video of this song: living room, I am not sure what album it on. I assume the 1st one.
Here are the lengths of the segments:
1. Live concert: 45 min
2. "It not fun, dont do it!": touring movie: about 21 min
3. The making of "so Jealous": about 23 min
4. Photo Album: about 35 min
5. The Marionettes(little puppets of the band): about 12 min
Anyway highly recommended.
Later,
Kevin
Only one complaint.......2006-08-14
When I saw Tegan and Sara in concert last year, I was won over by the ladies' great sense of humor and amusing anecdontes which made the concert that much more enjoyable. On this DVD, you get a sense of that in the bonus materials, but the concert itself has just the music. It's a great show, but I would have loved to see the whole unedited show including between song banter. The music videos are cool as well. Definitely worth picking up especially considering the price!
Great For Fans.......2006-08-09
This is a great DVD to wrap up the So Jealous era, and get all T+S fans prepared for the new album.
Awesome.......2006-08-09
Great for any Tegan and Sara fan. The footage is great and the girls, along with rest of the band, are hilarious. Definitely a DVD worth checking out even if you're not a fan. You won't regret it! I Definitely, Definitely recommend the DVD to anyone. You will be hooked. The girls have really come a long way and it can be seen through this movie.

This is One Great Disc.......2007-01-14
If you're a Cliff Richard fan, this is one great concert. The picture and sound quality are absolutely first rate. The concert is very long, so you get your money's worth. AND...both Cliff Richard (who is in very fine voice) and Hank Marvin are here, as are a variety of other first-rate guests.
Another nice feature is that Cliff is singing a batch of songs other than his own big hits, so even if you already have a Cliff Richard dvd, you don't have him doing many of these songs.
I can't say enough good things about this dvd. Just go out and buy it.
price.......2006-09-04
Your price is $39.98, i found it for$15 but havn't bought yet as i think your price should be lower.

Ineptly made comedy dealing with romantic indecision........2005-05-28
A cast comprised of three romantically interwoven couples, with an additional pair who spend a good portion of this film discussing their failed relationships, deals hopelessly with a jumbled script and lacklustre direction, eventually sinking beneath the force of hollow purpose. Some of the players, notably Sarah Trigger, Sheryl Lee, and Esai Morales, produced some crackle for their dialogue, but this studentish production softened the effect. This type of scenario, involving cleverly coincidental connections among the cast, is more commonplace today than when this work was released (1994); in this instance, however, all chance of freshness was broken down by weak architectonics.
It's like Swingers/Slackers/Clerks/whatever except BORING.......2001-07-30
Do you ever wonder why independent films don't take off? Why do we watch movies with explosions and slick production values? If you wonder it, then you never saw this thing.
Three couples can't figure out what love is like and they keep sleeping with each other. Heather Graham keeps yelling "why don't you tell me that you love me" which might be a scene out of a play that she's rehearsing and it might not. She's stuck with a guy that looks like John Malkovich but yet can't act. He's supposed to be a writer but he's horrible. Then there are two people that meet in a bar and talk about relationships. ONe of them is Sheryl Lee from Twin Peaks. The third couple is a musician (he's playing his guitar in the living room - oh cool) and his pregnant girlfriend. Oh yes, everyone in this movie has cheated with soemone from another couple.
And there's a couple of guys driving around Los Angeles. The dumped boyfriend and the supportive friend. Unfortunately, they are too much like the guys from Swingers for you NOT to miss Vince Vaughn (and that other guy-- what's his name - the lead from Swingers)
Eventually all 6 people from the couples meet up to which we are treated to such earthshattering truths as "men are afraid of commitment", "women change their minds as to what they want" and "everyone in relationships lies occasionally". SHOCKING!
Like Entropy, this movie shows the perils of a person attempting a chick movie for guys. Unlike Entropy, this thing has no redeeming values. You think with 8 characters ONE of them would be interesting. But every single one is a cliche. A hideous movie and one hopes that the producers are filming wedding videos now.
Not what I had hoped for........2000-08-25
This movie is a whole lot of talk with no real surprises, interesting story lines, or interesting characters. I viewed this on DVD due to the fact that it had Heather Graham, whom I loved in Austin Powers 2 and Boogie Nights. She gives a strong performance as do most of the other cast members, however the rest of the cast is filled with no-names which was kind of disappointing. Aside from Heather Graham this movie was not really worth my time. The DVD didnt have a whole lot of extras which was disappointing because that is one of my favorite things about DVD's. Unless you're a big Heather Graham fan like me I suggest not watching this movie on DVD or VHS.
Funny, Hip Romantic Comedy.......1999-07-12
Story line centers on six 20-something oddballs and their intermingled relationships. Very entertaining! I loved this movie. In the same genre as Chasing Amy or Before Sunrise.
Don' t watch it.......1999-06-30
Unfortunately this film is the most boring film I have ever seen in a movie theatre. No story, untalented actors and 90 mins of boredom. One short word to the director. Please "Don't do it" again.

Product Description
In 1970, there was no Internet, cell phone, VCR, DVD player, or cable television. All of these things factor into the equation of making it in Hollywood today. Rather than listen to movie giants talk about how they made it thirty years ago, or what it's like working with big movie stars, HOW TO MAKE IT IN HOLLYWOOD BEFORE YOU MAKE IT is a portrait of 10 emerging artists on the frontlines of Hollywood, running the gamut from actors, writers, producers, dancers, singers and songwriters, all at different stages in their careers... "Just about to break out, maybe they just broke out, and hopefully they will break out." The cast includes Ken Cosby (Actor/ Writer/ Comedian, nephew of Bill Cosby), Lance Moseley (Actor/ Writer/ Producer, former Co-Host of Playboy Channel's highest rated show, "Naughty Amateur Home Videos"), David L. Watts (Writer/ Producer, Screenwriter of the spec script which became the Disney release "Max Keeble's Big Move"), Annie Lee (Actor/ Producer, Star of the recent feature release "Close Call"), as well as, "Auggie", Yolanda Cruz, Lisa Heile, Beverly Neufeld and Oxygen "O2". SPECIAL FEATURES on the DVD include: Bonus Footage, Cast Bios, 2 Cast Member Trailers, Crew Bios, 2 Cast Member Music Videos and Production Notes.
