You'll also see rare clips from a rehearsal show with Martha Raye, which never aired on TV, and the classic blooperthat occured when an onstage cow contrbuted its own "ad-lib." "The Inspector General" In Russia in the 1800's, an illiterate stooge in a traveling medicine show wanders into a strange town and is picked up on a vagrancy charge. The town's corrupt officials mistake him for the inspector general, whom they think is traveling in disguise. Fearing that he will discover that they have been stealing the tax money, they make several bungles to attempt to kill him. This screw-ball comedy is Danny Kaye at his very best!

Red Skelton was one of the great classic comedians. Other than the ailing Bob Hope, there aren't any other comedians living like Red Skelton. He was from an era of entertainers that have been lost from us forever. This DVD collection includes a small snippet from Red's "Guzzler's Gin" vaudeville routine, a trailer for the film PUBLIC PIGEON NO. 1, footage from Red's Emmy-winning television show, and an uncensored television rehearsal with Martha Raye.
