The towns residents live off road accidents. They snare motorists, dispose of the dead and conduct medical experiments on the injured. Paris lives off cars spare parts are their currency however, the source of their livelihood is about to turn against them. The cars will have their revenge. "The Cars That Ate Paris" was Peter Weirs first major feature film. It is arguably his most striking, offbeat and original work. It also contains one of the most memorable performances by veteran Australian actor, John Meillon. The Plumber She opened her door to... a nightmare Jill Cowper (Judy Morris) is the wife of a University doctor (Robert Coleby). One morning there is an unexpected knock at the door and she opens it to reveal a man who says hes the plumber. So begins five days of mental torment that will change her life. To Jills disbelief, the simple plumbing job turns into a major overhaul, and in no time the slightly unbalanced tradesman (Ivar Kants) has torn up her entire bathroom, and her sense of security as well. Worse, he seems to be playing psychological intimidation and domination games with her. Peter Weirs "The Plumber" will scare you... challenge you... and disturb you.
