Steve Oedekerk (who wrote and directed Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls) masterminds a series of movie parodies in which the actors are replaced by thumbs--more specifically, thumbs with eyes and mouths digitally superimposed. The Godthumb has a script that would be funny even if performed by normal actors (something that can't be said for all the Thumbation movies), but the bizarrely high-quality thumb effects push it to the point of surrealism. The Godthumb parodies all the high points of The Godfather (the horse head in the bed, the death of Sonny, the orange peel), but it's at its best when it spirals off into its own peculiar universe. Hilarious spoof.......2007-01-21

I first watched the Godthumb at my friend's house, and although hesitant at first, found that it was a hilarious spoof. Even if you haven't seen any of the Godfathers, this should still be funny for you (but you should know main points in the original film such as the horse's head). The Godthumb, his sons and his enemies all deliver great humor and make fun of the stereotypical gangster, as well as exaggerating conecepts such as Robert Duvall as the Irish adopted son, or Sonny as a "hothead". I would highly recommend this as your first thumb-action movie.

This was a good spoof of The Godfather but it was kind of gross when he was eating the cats. I liked it and others will too if they liked the Martin Scorcese-Marlond Brando film. Steve Oederik is a good spoofer. The scene where Sonny got shot at the NJ Tpk toll booth was done w/coins and the scene w/the horse's head was done. It was cute BUT short. I wish O Productions did these Thumb Movies a little longer...at least 45min. You pay $10 to $12 each for a 28min short.

Not as good as the other thump pics.......2006-07-06

Godthumb just wasn't as good as the other thumb pics. If you don't have any get The Blair Thumb or Thumb Wars. There was only one funny spot in Godthumb and that was during the "out takes" with the orange peel. I think he rushed this one.

I love all of the Thumb movies. I love this one too. I liked how he had the orange peels in his mouth! So cool.
And Cat hair on your meat-ball and now its is called MEAT CUBES!
LOL!!!!!!!

GodThumb Induces Nausea.......2004-08-30

This was my seccond installment in the Thumb Series, my girlfriend and I are avid watchers of Steve Oedekerk's Thumb Creations, though the God Thumb seems to have some extra-sensroy capabilities. At one point during our seccond viewing of GodThumb, during the scene with the incredibly overweight thumb, played by the character from Thumb Wars known as 'Gabba the Butt' I became incredibly nauseas and was unable to continue watching. Later on in the evening my girlfiend told me that after some thought on the same scene she began to experience the same feeling, does Gabbe the Butt induce upset stomachs ? Will the truth be told ?! Has anyone had any similar experiences ?
