Despite the packaging - (disks pilled on top of each other so to get at the bottom disk you have to first remove the ones on top.) Very inconvientient to manage. Because of the packiaging I had to rate the set as a 4, but if I was just rating the transfers themselves I would have given it a 5. This is the best transfer of the movies included that I have ever seen. My Favorite Brunette and Road to Bali were especially good - video sharp and clear - sound acceptible for movies of this age. The color on Bali was especially good - others I've seen had very poor, washed out colors. I have been completely happy with this set and would not hesitate to recommend it.

I enjoyed the movies but the case it came in was really terrible so many disc's in a very badly designed holder. I am afraid they will become scratched!

4 out of 5 stars Great Set---Bad Packaging.......2007-01-17

If you're a fan of Bob Hope-then this is a great buy. Some Classics here including The Lemon Drop Kid, Seven Little Foys, 2 Road Movies ( Rio & Bali ) plus some of Hope's later-and lesser efforts, i.e. How to Commit Marriage etc.
Though not a fan of these later movies they're still interesting to watch, but it's the earlier stuff that makes this set well worth owning-and the price cannot be beaten.
The only drawback is that because of the budget price-tag the set is presented with five double-sided discs virtually stacked on top of each other making them easily damaged if not careful.
However, having said that, I'm very happy with this package at such a bargain price. Highly recommended.

    this movie is tops, anything with bob hope has got tobe great, the othe moie was i love lucy, and i rate that a 5 star also, iam very happy with "ALL" the movies i ordered from amazon, there fast at sending them, no worry, either mail man or ups, delivers them and they are packed good, keepo up the good work i will no doubt order more , in other words i will replace the vhs with the dvd, ie i love lucy 7 littel foys and othe movies that i have,,diane from vega

    Very good story and acting. This is the way movies should still be. They didn't need the profanity to make the movie great.

    Eddie Foy, A vaudevillian meets and marries an Italian Balleria I think her name is Isabelle. Anyway He is in a show called"Mr.Bluebeard." I remember the name of the show he preformed is Mr.Bluebeard,when tragedy struck at the Iroquis Theater,He was probably in the wings,that day getting dressed,He said,There's something I have to do,I have to see that these people don't get hurt.Eddie also had his son,Bryan with him.He calmed the audience down,which is a vaudville tradition,but most of the musicians left the theater.He became a national hero after December 30th 1903,More people would've been killed if it wasn't for him.Then more children are added to the family when he gets more parts on broadway. His wife dies,of what,I don't know.The kids go on stage.

    Good old fashion family entertainment. Bob Hope is the wise cracking head of the wild bunch, who atfirst detest and then learn to love him.The music and comedy is woderful, if you like Vaudeville.
