When 17-year-old Sydney's divorced grandparents visit simultaneously, it seems there will be no end to the bickering. Then little brother's science experiment goes awry and instead of preserving roses, he sends both grandparents back to their youth. The young-people-out-of-time story line leads to many "young fella" versus "dissing" language gags. Then doe-eyed grandma gets an eye-opening school lecture on the use of a condom--a funny, but unnecessary scene that gives the movie its Parental Discretion rating for language and mature subject matter. Of course young grandma Cat (Tamera Mowry) looks exactly like Sydney (Tia Mowry), resulting in the inevitable dating mix-ups, until young Grandma and Grandpa predictably fall back in love before literally plunging back into old age. This 93-minute Showtime vehicle for the Mowry twins (TV's Sister, Sister) and their brother Tahj is better than average, although its "street" savvy may leave older teens and true urbanites wincing. Ages 12 and up. --Kimberly Heinrichs

5 out of 5 stars Very Good Family Film!.......2006-03-12

I really enjoyed this movie when I saw it on the Disney Channel. It was nice to see an African-American film without violence or bad language. The soundtrack is also good. So overall this was an excellent movie

5 out of 5 stars I HAVE THE TITLE OF THAT SONG!!!!!.......2005-12-14

Ok, so everyone really wants to know what the name of the love song in the movie is, the song plays at the dance when Cat and Gene are dancing. Then when the movie ends, its played again. The song is sung by SHAWN STOCKMAN of BOYS II MEN, it's called LOVE AGAIN. This is the URL for the lyrics:

5 out of 5 stars A Great Movie for the Family.......2005-09-29

When Sydney's divorced grandparents come in for the weekend, the bickering starts. Her parents have to leave because of her stepmother's sister sudden birth. Her brother's "soap" causes them to be seventeeen abd causes her grandparents to grow up and not live in fear. It also causes Sydney to, too.

5 out of 5 stars Seventeen Again.......2005-08-20

This is a great family video about when a Grandma and Grandpa get tunred back to seventeen because of a special bar of soap that has mixed up chemicals.

4 out of 5 stars Grandma....Grandpa?!.......2005-01-24

How would you react if your brainy little brother accidently created a formula that could make people young again...and some of it rubbed off on your grandparents? This is a fun movie with a good moral and cool characters. It IS hard to constantly invision the grandparents as young people, but I had that problem with "Freaky Friday", too. Some parts may also be iffy for small children, but other then that, this movie is enjoyable and fun to watch when it's on the Disney Channel. And it's on about every two or three months, so I wouldn't recommend buying the movie.
