There are some good laughs to be found in Daddy Day Care, especially if you're a preschooler with energy to burn. This romper-room comedy shamelessly exploits its high concept idea--dropping Eddie Murphy into a seething den of rugrats--but kids will have plenty of vicarious fun as Murphy and his fellow laid-off colleague (Jeff Garlin) battle unemployment by opening a day-care center in Eddie's home. In partial Witches mode, Anjelica Huston hams it up as a day-care competitor bent on closing Eddie down, while doofus extraordinaire Steve Zahn is recruited as a third partner in "Daddy Day Care," trying his best to entertain a pack of hyperactive kids who've stopped taking their Ritalin. Zahn makes a funny Star Trek fan (even when the script contains bogus Trekkie trivia), and Murphy deserves credit for giving his all in a comedy that mostly squanders his talent. Indeed, is Daddy Day Care a comedy or every parent's nightmare? Daring viewers can decide for themselves. --Jeff Shannon

I have always been a Eddie Murphy fan since i was a little girl. This movie is the best, the kids are so cute! Eddie Murphy, Jeff Garlin, and Steve Zahn are great in this movie.

If you are a baby sitter, work with kids, or just love kids period this is a must see movie. I finally ordered it on DVD, now i get to watch it anytime i want!

An Enjoyable Movie Everyone Can Appreciate.......2007-04-02

This is an adorable movie and was defiantly worth my time. It's about a guy who loses his job and his and his friends trying to run a day care. They have plenty of road blocks getting started but really start to care for the kids and eventually they get the daycare business under wraps.

But a competing school has gotten upset and tries to shut down Daddy Day Care, by calling the health dept. Still, they make the requirements and continue on their way. All of a sudden they get their jobs back but end up going back, but the day care jobs they've given up turn out to be more important than the high powered jobs they went back to so it's back to the day care again.

This movie was invigorating and shows father son relationships. Also the equality of man and women and what they can do, job wise. Overall, kids and parents alike will enjoy the movie. I defiantly recommend this for families and friends everywhere.

First of all, I should point out, I'm a HUGE Eddie Murphy fan, back to his days on Saturday Night Live. To the best of my knowledge, his professional career began on Saturday Night Live, with Joe Piscopoe, and even the lady from Seinfeld, (can't remember her name.)

So, you might say, I'm a little biased. But if you see my other reviews for movies like 48 hours, and Another 48 hours, you'll see, that I don't let my biases cloud my judgement. And my feelings after seeing this movie, are that Eddie Murphy is one of the most hilarious individuals on the face of the earth. And this movie showcases his talents, to no end!

I really enjoy his interaction with his little boy, his wife, and the other kids and adults. He is very versatile, and clever.

I would recommend this movie. It rocks!

This movie is really funny. Eddie did a great job. The actors were picked amazing well. This movie is good for friday nights.
