There is no drop-off in laughs from the first to second volume of Will Ferrell's work on Saturday Night Live. Giggle along with his recurring characters, including James Lipton (interviewing Kate Hudson as a wonderfully ditzy Drew Barrymore), a wickedly clever George W. Bush, and one-half of the smarmy Lovers couple. This volume spotlights Ferrell's ability to go successfully over-the-top whether as an overbearing boss (check out how long he keeps stabbing a doomed coworker), a strict airplane pilot, an absent-minded doctor, or the world's oldest baby. There's plenty of unabashed (near) nudity and risky violence, which keeps the SNL tradition of "Not Ready for Prime Time"; check out what longtime hosts of the morning talk show resort to when the much-needed teleprompter fails. All that plus "Janet Reno's Dance Party" (with guest Rudy Giuliani) makes this the perfect pick-up for those who could not get enough of Ferrell with volume 1. --Doug Thomas

Customer Reviews:
This Is A Must Own.......2006-03-21
The official Amazon.com review towards the top tells it like it is. Forget the vast majority of the other reviews, because these people clearly don't understand what Will Ferrell humor is all about. THIS is what Will Ferrell is all about. Don't you guys see?
This volume is so much better than the first. I laughed harder than I had in a very long time watching it. This is definitely the funniest of the SNL best-of compilation things. These are the best skits on the DVD: the bad doctor ("...and then we just straight up lost him"), the bad boss ("I should rape you!"), and the inside the actor's studio thing ("nor they you") are tied for my favorite. Bill Braskie, and the lovers thing are also pretty funny. Invite some friends over and watch it--you'll fall off your chairs laughing. Peace, I'm out.
Unbelievable.......2006-02-27
Stunned. That is what I am, after viewing this disc. I have never been moved to write a review like this before, but I cannot believe what I just saw. This is supposed to be funny? SNL is still on the air? (shakes head) Unbelievable.
Please do not waste your money on this disc. Will Ferrell and the various nonentities who appear with him are pathetic, but what is far, far more pathetic is the so called "writing." These skits are sad, unfunny, and quite probably an embarrassment to the writers' parents.
I rate this 1 star only because I cannot post a zero, or better yet, a negative number.
Only a few laughs.......2005-11-23
This volume is definitely not as good as the first. Most of the skits included are not what I would call "best of" material.
With the exception of a few funny moments, this is an utter waste of time and money. I am a huge fan of Will Ferrell's comedy, but he was short-changed with this DVD volume.
way better than the reviews! .......2005-10-15
this was even funnier than the first... the last 3 or 4 skits aren't too great but the rest are hilarious! i definitely recommend this dvd!
I Love Will...........2005-09-02
BUT, do not buy this. I did not take the advise of the other reviews and bought it anyway, thinking they did not understand his comedic genious. I am such a fool. His first "Best of" is fantastic! This was just more of the first disk (honestly, half of the disk was more of the same skits!!) and a rather failed attempt to give you more cow bell. I hate to write a bad review, but save your money and your time.
