Wow, this movie is terrible! I'm stunned by it's stupidity. I obviously wasn't looking for plot, or acting, or direction. The other reviews are misleading. The only worthwhile section (ONLY WORTHWIHLE) is Melissa Armstrong's pool scene.

Sure, this is an awful movie, poor acting, thin plot, full of cliche's and poorly timed jokes, but it is a film of a genre that has really lost it's luster of the past 10 years. I remember this being one of the "UP ALL NIGHT" films on USA network as a teen. It was always 2 mintues of movie, then 5 minutes comercials to make it into the 2 hour time slot. Carefree nudity is present, and the sense of nastalgia makes this worth a watch through once, to laugh at how bad acting can be, and to remember the old days of softcore.

Whatever happened to the days when movies were chuck full of casual and carefree nudity? This totally brainless film is worth watching just for the memories of the good old days when casual non-erotic nudity was common place in films.

The film is everything I remember from the VHS edition I saw in the early '90s. If you are a fan of this genre, you have probably seen this movie, and understand what made it special, namely, totally gratuitous nude scenes that last for minutes on end. It's often like an extended naked music video.
Lamentably, the DVD appears to have been mastered from a VHS copy, or something similar, because the picture is not nearly as clear or sharp as any standard mainstream DVD release. It's not unwatchable, but it is disappointingly dim. The three star rating is for the DVD, not the film, although, to be fair, if you were to judge this film on everything but the girls, it would be considered terrible.

Backwards in Barberton.......2006-11-04
A very entertaining movie. I ordered this movie because I like to support Northeast Ohio, including Cleveland and Akron. And who wouldn't love a movie about driving backwards in bikinis in Barberton? Local connections aside, I found this to be an enjoyable movie. The movie is fast paced, has a lot of jokes and funny scenes, interesting characters, and you actually do buy in and care about the plot. I would give it a thumbs up.
What more can you ask for?.......2006-07-18
Although art-house movie fans love independent films, I trust that most will cringe at a plot containing copious amounts of race cars, bikinis, Bigfoot hunters, UFOs, bikinis, and waitresses with big bosums (even if part of the movie features a cameo appearance by one of the most handsome actors to ever get shagged by a hot rich chick in the back of a stock car). Still, I personally kinda liked Canonball Run when it came out....
But I digress. Circle Track Summer is an instant indie-movie masterpiece that is actually on par - in terms of its fast-moving, hilarious script; solid acting; and deft cinematography - with any film in its genre, big-budget or no.
And did I mention there was lots of bikinis and big bosums??!!
Wow!!! When is part 2 coming out?.......2006-06-15
I am a local Barberton Guy. I heard about the movie via word of mouth around the bar. I was skeptical but when the movie came in the mail last night I couldnt stop watching. It was funny for me to see all the sights I recognize and have been before. I think as far as indy films go this is really sweet. I cant wait for part 2 or any other films by these guys. Heck, Maybe you will see me as an extra eating some pancakes @ the Coffee Pot. Good Job Guys!!!!
Circle Track Summer.......2006-06-12
Hey Folks! This is the one. I usually look to the independents for my movie collection. Understand that with the independents you get low-budget...which means bad lighting, poor sound, really lousy acting. Then come "Circle Track Summer"-it is a low-budget (watch the Director's comments), BUT, it certainly does not come off as a low budget work. This is a really great flic. I laffed out loud!
Ya gotta add this to yer collection. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and had no disappointments. When I get an independent film, I usually have to allow for first efforts, bad acting, effects or whatever...Again, with "Circle Track", that wasn't a problem...it comes off 'Hollywood'.
Get yer food and drink...sit there with a helmet on-or your UFO/Bigfoot collection and plunk in the DVD...you'll luv it!
An Original...A Comedy Classic!!!.......2006-05-30
It's got it all; Girls, Race Cars, A Foot Stompin Original Soundtrack, A Great Story with elements of intrigue and suspense...and a whole lotta laughs! I saw it at the theater (and can't wait to get the DVD)...It is one of those movies that you just want to sit around the TV and watch with a bunch of friends. There are a lot of very funny and memorable characters in "cts" too...my favorites were "The Uncles" - Uncle "la la la I wrote a text book" Dan and Uncle "I'm Exhaaauussted" Bob. Also, (the Benny Hill -ish) Kooter and Opossum are hysterical. I give not two, but Three Thumbs Up to Director Steve Pallotta and his cast & crew for putting out this fun and entertaining movie. Circle Track Summer is another good reason to check-out Independent Films...Lookout Hollywood!
It is a must see film!!! Check it out!!!

This movie is great. It's possibly the most amazing movie ever made. It stars Jessica Hahn as a horny houswife, and is directed by Jeff "Bobby Wheeler" Conaway of Taxi fame. It also stars Conaway's sister, and a guy who was also in Donnie Brasco, not to mention some great acting from females who sometimes get naked. I swears to bears that this movie is a tour de force of modern filmmaking. Bikini Summer 2 will be discovered by anthropologists in the distant future and will become an object of serious discussion and investigation. This movie defines its own genre and is perfect for the discriminating film enthusiast.

And it is chaotic, incomprehensible! Jessica Hahn, top billed is on display for about 90 seconds (you think she can act?) Everything else is chop suey, editing room out-jokes (the opposite of in-jokes), vapid, soft core, exploitation. This movie was made by people who know that a name in the news, and female nudity will separate a certain type (worldwide) from their cashola.

Let's face it. We're not watching this sort of movie for great character development or intriquite plot twists. This sort of movie is all about women in bikinis, or less. This movie is an excellent piece of work, if judged with that in mind. The women are many and Hot, the situations are funny and provocative, and the outfits are skimpy, revealing and imaginative. There are few movies in this genre that can top this one. If you are a fan, Don't hesitate to buy this flick!
