Amazon.com essential video
The Crow set the standard for dark and violent comic-book movies (like Spawn or director Alex Proyas's superior follow-up, Dark City), but it will forever be remembered as the film during which star Brandon Lee (son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee) was accidentally killed on the set by a loaded gun. The filmmakers were able to digitally sample what they'd captured of Lee's performance and piece together enough footage to make the movie releasable. Indeed, it is probably more fascinating for that post-production story than for the tale on the screen. The Crow is appropriately cloaked in ominous expressionistic shadows, oozing urban dread and occult menace from every dank concrete crack, but it really adds up to a simple and perfunctory tale of ritual revenge. Guided by a portentous crow (standing in for Poe's raven), Lee plays a deceased rock musician who returns from the grave to systematically torture and kill the outlandishly violent gang of hoodlums who murdered him and his fiancée the year before. The film is worth watching for its compelling visuals and genuinely nightmarish, otherworldly ambience. --Jim Emerson

Customer Reviews:
Amazing........2007-06-02
First time I saw this film, I watched it on VHS. Not that great. It was extremely dark and I had a hard time seeing things. I popped in the DVD and WOW! I could see what was going on! It's great. The story is beautiful, dark but powerful. I highly recommend this film. Especially this eddition.
classic.......2007-05-27
1994 saw the release of Alex Proyas' cult-classic "The Crow". The plot of the film is pretty straightforward; a vigilante killer, one year after the murder of himself and his girlfriend, goes out for revenge. In terms of the plot there aren't a lot of twists and the film is, dare I say...predictable...You know exactly how the film will unfold twenty minutes into it. Apart from the fact the vigilante has risen from the dead, movies with similar plots have been done before. Still, almost immediately after its release, "the Crow" achieved cult-status, enjoying a large, dedicated following. Why is that, exactly?
One reason that "The Crow" has struck a nerve with people is its theme of love defying death. The reunion scene between Eric Draven (Brandon Lee) and Shelly Webster (Sofia Shinas) is one of most bittersweet moments in film that I can recall. The relationship between the "good" characters (and there are very few) is also quite touching. Sarah (Rochelle Davis) is a quite likeable kid and there is genuine warmth in her scenes with her dysfunctional mother, Lee and Sergeant Albrecht (Ernie Hudon).
Most of the thugs in this film, apart from "Top Dollar" (Michael Wincott) are pretty generic. They are so vile, however, that it's satisfying when Lee takes them all down. The dark atmosphere, (dark streets, urban decay, cemeteries) cinematography, and action sequences are all quite exciting and well done.
Even if the film, at its core, (vigilante killer after bad guys) doesn't have the most original story line, the rich charectors, setting and themes of friendship and undying love more than make up for it. The abundance of excellent music (NIN, The Cure, RATM, there isn't a bad song on the soundtrack, infact) throughout the film is also a great bonus.
While Brandon Lee, sadly, never got a chance to really develop as an actor, his role of Eric Draven in this film no doubt ensures that his legacy has at least one classic.
Untitled.......2007-05-14
Received product very quickly and on time, and product was in very good condition... extremely satisfied with this order!
Must See.......2007-03-08
If you ever wanted to see the greatest movie of all times this it. Brandon Lee is by the far the best of all of the series. It is a shame that he had to die so young.
One of the Best Movies of the 1990's.......2007-02-28
It is a tragedy that Brandon Lee died while making this film. Had he lived, the Crow sequels would have been much better.
The Crow is an action packed movie that moves at a quick pace. It set the standard for the dark cinema of the 1990's.

Customer Reviews:
Bloo who?.......2007-06-17
Fosters Home for Imaginary friends, might be the best cartoon ever made. I sayt MIGHT BE, because I still love the ol' cartoons from when I was just a wee lad. An' there's nothing that's ever gunna quite top or match the ol' Loony Toons. Any ways, Fosters, so, I know every one has their own favorite friend or character. Wilt's kind, and Edwardo's scary but snuggley an' Coco's awesome (why hasn't she been adopted?) but the major player, the top friend is (an' I know he'd love this) BLOO! He's totally the BEST!
For me, any character that can run screaming down halls chaced by anything and creating mayhen all around, it a winner in my book.
Now, this season doesn't have Cheese or Goo, but it does have Bloo's dance down the stairs in the episode with the first "adopt a thought saturday." If you know the dance, then you know it's worth the entire DVD price just to be able to watch it over and over again, but wait there's more!
YOu also get the "going to the mall episode." Haven't heard of it? Then buy the DVD you need to see it!!!
If you want to see one of the funniest cartoons ever made then buy THIS cartoon! If not for you then your kids, oryour dog, jus' buy it! You won't regret it.
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends - The Complete Season 1.......2007-05-14
We have a 12 and 14 year old at home and they love the cartoon. It is a great way for the boys to relax and have a good time.
Excellent.......2007-05-14
This item was purchased for my son by his request as a gift. He is an animator and was thrilled with it.
Great Cartoon.......2007-05-13
It's so awesome that Foster's finally has come to DVD. I can't wait for season 2!
Fantastic entertainment for kids of ALL ages.......2007-05-03
"Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" is a completely inspired, sompletely original show that'll drag in kids of ALL ages- from 2-102!
From the man who brought us "The Powerpuff Girls" and "Dexter's Laboratory" comes the colorful and at times even artistic world of "Fosters" "Fosers" is a foster home for Imaginary friends that were created by children, but the children that created tham have grown up and no longer need their friends. Foster's takes in these friends (and creativity abounds) and gives them a chance to be adopted by children who need a friend.
The DVD takes you through the entire first season where you'll meet Bloo and his kid Mac and they're introduction to Foster's.
The show has something for EVERYONE! Unlike many shows out there with overtly dirty and potty themed jokes, Foster's, for the most part, keeps it clean, so there's no fear of your four year old picking up something derranged! There are at times some jokes that will make an adult snicker and fly over the head of younger viewers- but even those are VERY tame.
With tons of shows nowadays full of violence, Poop humor, and Anime "inspired" it's refteshing to see something as simple and fun as "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends" To top it off, the shows teach morals and Values, which is hard to find nowadays- especially in a show that is loved by children and adults.
Even though it is the ENTIRE first seasn, it's sad to see the DVD's end, and it seems unfair that it's over!

A gut-wrenching portrait of adolescence, Thirteen is made all the more powerful because it was co-written by a genuine teenage girl, Nikki Reed, who also co-stars in the movie. Tracy (Evan Rachel Wood), a serious good student, finds herself needing to express her anger and resentment at her fractured family life. To rebel, she pursues a friendship with the reckless, alluring Evie (Reed), who seems to have all the cocksure freedom that Tracy desires. What follows is both harrowing and compelling: Tracy becomes enmeshed in a relationship with Evie that empowers Tracy and drags her deeper into the misery she wants to escape--and terrifies her mother (Holly Hunter), who struggles desperately to hold on to her daughter's love. Thirteen makes every step on this path utterly convincing, due to the vivid script, energized direction, and astonishingly alive performances from Hunter, Reed, and especially Wood. Jolting, sad, and mesmerizing. --Bret Fetzer
Description
"Brace yourself" (Rolling Stone) for a raw, revealing insight into urban adolescence that's so intense and realistic, "it's possible to turn away (Interview Magazine). Anxiously trying to fit into the peer-pressure cooker environment of junior high, thirteen-year-old Tracy (Evan Rachel Wood) goes to shocking lengths in order to befriend Evie (co-writer Nikki Reed), the most popular girl in school. Now the two are inseparable - and incorrigible - leaving Tracy's desperate mom (Academy Award winner Holly Hunter) powerless to rescue her from a whirlwind of drugs, sex and crime.
Customer Reviews:
Tragic, heartbreaking and strong, a film that dares to be heard and deserves to be applauded... .......2007-07-02
The first time I watched `thirteen' I was stunned at how brutally honest a film it was. It's so easy for Hollywood to sugar-coat reality to make it accessible but here that is far from the case. In it's honesty though it never crosses the line in becoming so overtly dramatic and edgy that it comes across forced and in other words Hollywoodized. `thirteen' stays true and relatable and effortlessly absorbing. While watching the film I found my heart invested in the story, in the characters and in their eventuality. I really cared for everyone involved in different ways and for different reasons. The cast, I should immediately point out, is so brilliant here that they really help keep this film true to form and each actress adds layers of honesty to her performance.
Evan Rachel Wood blew me away with her performance as Tracy Freeman. Tracy is your average thirteen year old girl. She's awkward around boys, teased at school, distant from the popular girls, estranged from her parents, longing to be accepted by her peers as well as her father. Her whole life seems a waste. Her mother Melanie is a recovering alcoholic who damages her family with her choice of male companions but who is genuinely trying to make things good again for her children. Tracy's father is never around to lend a hand in the matter and can't seem to find the time in his schedule to give his daughter the attention she needs. In order to vent her frustration and find some control Tracy resorts to smoking and cutting.
Tracy them meets Evie Zamora, the popular girl in school. She's overly sexual, malicious and dangerous and these qualities immediately draw Tracy in. She begins to conform to Evie's standards and a shift begins to take place in Tracy's attitude and her actions. Melanie, the maternal instinct kicking in, spots this change early on but is unable to take evasive action. Evie's family life is tragic as well. Her parents are no where to be seen and her cousin who acts as her guardian is so uninvolved and lenient with Evie that her behavior, as drastic and outlandish as it is, is welcomed, even encouraged. Melanie sees this and feels almost guilted into accepting this girl, a girl who gets no real love and attention elsewhere. While Tracy distances herself further from her mother, Evie uses this opportunity to attach herself, reaching out to that motherly concern, love and guidance she's lacked all her life.
The film spirals down to a breathtaking ending that resolves much and brings to the fore true intentions. It's beautifully scripted by director Catherine Hardwicke and co-star Nikki Reed, who plays Evie. Reed is tragic as Evie, really captures the essence of this girl lost in the shuffle and her breakdown in the end of this film is beautifully captured in all its raw reality. Her character finally emerges in truth and honesty before everyone's eyes and as her exposure is made clear the sheer brilliance of her performance is made manifest as well. Holly Hunter well deserved her Oscar nomination. Her portrayal of Melanie is sincere and heartbreaking. But no one here deserves more praise than Evan Rachel Wood who devours her role and delivers such tempered and controlled emotions, delivering believability and honesty in each brilliantly calculated move. Watching her character transform in each scene is effortless and captivating.
`thirteen' may be hard to stomach sometimes, especially if you're a parent, and even more so if you are a parent of a young daughter. As much as it may remain difficult I feel it's also very important that you force yourself through it. It exposes quite well the dangers surrounding young girls today, from the desires and pressures to conform to your peers and the enticing effects of drugs, alcohol and sex, vices that are becoming more and more accessible to kids of younger and younger ages. Directed with equal measures grit and concern, `thirteen' is a landmark film that sheds a much needed light on the dangers of adolescence and is one of the more moving and socially important films of the past decade. By far the greatest film of 2003.
Must seen if you like messed up movies.......2007-04-15
I definitly reccomend this as a buy, because its the scary truth. Awesome flick, great acting.
xoxo
Amazing and True.......2007-04-13
I have an old friend that went through this exact same situation(s). This movie was amazing, true, and eye-opening. This is what happens in real life and it is all real...there is nothing fake about it. This is the best realistic movie about teenage girls that I have ever seen in my life! Nothing else compares to this. The cinematography is amazing; the movie is done very, very well. I can't say how much this movie hit home or otherwise - it is just great and it is truely my favorite movie ever!
10 out of 5 stars for Thirteen!
Awful...........2007-03-09
I do not understand how anyone could rate this trite piece of garbage 5 stars. The story was predictable, and the script was boring and forced. The movie had some scenes with shock value, but I didn't watch it to see fourteen year old girls getting undressed, and forcing themselves upon people. I was hoping it would be along the lines of kids, but nowhere near the intensity of that movie. The characters in this movie are two dimensional, which makes the movie even more unbeleivable. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I expected a LOT better from the other reviews I read.
Reminds me my thirteen!.......2007-03-07
I loved it. Every bit of it. Great cast! It brings back memories and I understood it right away. There were so many things about the way the kids were that reminded me of being at that awkward age. What a great movie!

My grand children, boy 3 yrs, girl 1 1/2 yrs, loved this Thomas DVD. I must have watched it with them 50 times and it was enjoyable every time.
My little Thomas fan loves this DVD!.......2007-03-20
My little Thomas fan loves any of the Thomas DVD's, no matter how many times he watches them. They are his favorite and I don't think that will change for a very long time. Thomas provides great life lessons like sharing, caring, and friendship. They get a thumbs up from me as well!
Best Thomas DVD Ever!.......2007-03-14
Wonderful DVD, hods the kids attention the whole time. Sing a long songs in between movie shorts.
Just a wonderful Thomas DVD.
Great edition for your Thomas lover!.......2007-02-19
My two year old adores this DVD! Because I'm a teacher, I'm always looking for a way to make his TV time more educational - the special features in this video get my vote! It's nice to have a short break between the stories to make your child think! There's a feature that has children matching shapes, then a maze that matches engines to their special job (ie - Percy to the mail cars). This dvd also has two songs (that will get stuck in your head if you aren't careful). Our edition also came with Duncan (purchased for the same price at Wal-mart). Several of the stories feature Duncan and Toby which was a delight for my son who just adores Toby. You are also introduced to Mighty Mac and Neville. The short stories are engaging and enjoyable for you and your child (OK, maybe not you after the 50th time, but the first few times are great!) Even better, we get out our trains and recreate the story after it's done.
The interface of the DVD is great! You aren't forced to watch ad after ad, but rather you can choose to play once, choose a story, or play constantly. My only complaint is the same with the other Thomas DVDs - why the little case? It's hard for my child to see and choose what he wants. However, it's a small complaint, not even enough to change the star rating.
Not as good as the rest.......2007-02-08
The only thing thats wrong with this dvd is that it has no bonus features. The menu is play(once or continuous) and language selection(english/spanish). You cannot choose stories, songs, or even have a look at the character gallery.

I am not a big fan of this kind of "babysitting" but as long as it is in moderation, I can handle it and Teletubbies are just the thing I needed to be able to get a little stuff done around the house. My daughter loves them and they are simple enough for her little mind (she is 1) to follow along to and enjoy. She gets entertainment, I get a clean kitchen.

Based on the bestselling book by Vincent Bugliosi, the two-part TV movie Helter Skelter is a clinical but often chilling recount of the arrest and trial of Charles Manson and his cult for a pair of horrific murders in 1969. Character actor George DiCenzo is a bit dry as prosecutor Bugliosi, who must patch together a series of far-flung clues to incarcerate Manson for the murder spree, which claimed the life of actress Sharon Tate, among others; he and the rest of the capable cast (which includes Marilyn Burns from the '74 Texas Chainsaw Massacre) are completely overshadowed by Steve Railsback's disturbing performance as Manson. Railsback is the main reason to revisit this feature, which shocked many during its network run in 1976, but now seems methodical in its pacing and direction. Warner Bros.'s DVD is the longer 184-minute version of the film, which should please viewers accustomed to the 119-minute rebroadcast cut; otherwise, the disc is disappointingly supplement-free. --Paul Gaita
Description
The investigation of two horrific mass murders leads to the capture and trial of the psychotic pseudo-hippie Charles Manson and his "family".

Helter Skelter.......2007-07-03
A truly engrossing, disturbing made-for-TV movie based on Bugliosi's bestseller, Tom Gries's "Helter Skelter" revisits all the hair-raising details of the infamous case, including how Manson engineered the killings, believing they were ordained via a secret message on the Beatles' "White Album." Railsback is nothing short of terrifying playing the manic, crazed, intensely creepy Manson. By contrast, DiCenzo gives an appropriately measured performance as hungry trial prosecutor Bugliosi, while actors Nancy Wolfe, Cathey Paine, and Christina Hart eerily convey the deadening spell Manson cast over his most loyal disciples.
Tate and LaBianca.......2007-05-28
The movie wasn't bad but I have to admit that after reading the book, I expected more. I would liked to have seen more on the before Mansons.
Without a doubt one of the people that have left a mark on me .......2007-05-04
Charles Manson. When I think of him I see many things crop out. Angry, Demented, Bruised, Scarred, Hateful, and all of this from the world. He was born into dysfunction, and lived out most of his life in dysfunction. His mother had no name to give him as she was mostly a criminal herself, and a prostitute who probably had no idea who fathered Charlie, or even cared. That's the hard part to swallow when your mother has no idea who your father is, and doesn't even care. She thought in her self-centered mind that she was doing the best for Charlie by shuffling him around to the different family members for she knew she couldn't raise Charlie as that would cut into her drug habit, and sex time. However, it was later determined that Charlie was bi-sexual as he wouldn't think twice about having sex with either a man, or a woman. I am left to wonder if perhaps a male family member raped Charlie perhaps out of anger at Charlie's mother for not taking responsibility for her little brat. I remember hearing a line in the film: "The Bad News Bears In Breaking Training" where Kelly's father asks Kelly: "You want to be your own man?" Meaning that Kelly take responsibility for himself; I'm sure Charlie wanted that, but the question I'm sure Charlie would ask: "How to do this?" No one showed Charlie how to be his own man, and the closest he came was his stint at Boy's Town, but when he was there I'm sure he couldn't look at Boy's Town without looking at his mother, family, and society in general, and they all hurt him, rejected him, and now as he's nearing 73 the hate will not die, and it looks as though it's the only thing keeping him going, but for how long? I feel that Charlie somehow learned that when he grew up that he could learn power, and take people down just give your soul to the devil. Susan Atkins would also take that route as her life was marred by dysfunction as both parents were alcoholics, and mean towards her and her brothers. She turned to Christ at an early age, but she was dissulousined especially after her mother died, and her father didn't stop drinking. Patricia Krenweinkel grew up in a more loving home, but after her parents divorced her self-esteem already not strong was even dashed upon the rocks more. Leslie Van Houten would also have her world fall apart when her parents divorced, so without a doubt on edge, and nothing to lose Charlie would create his own family. A family that was his to rule and reign one where he would be able to call the shots, and he would make it appealling to his followers with sex, drugs, and music. Now bring this up to August 9, 1969, and the Tate murders. In Charlie's mind he thought that he was doing the world a favor because after all Sharon Tate, Abigail Folger and others were all smoking marijuana, and doing other drugs, and they thought they were better than him? As for his motive I feel while it was created in a drug stupor quite a bit did come true. I would feel the fact that Terry Melchner not taking Charlie seriously as a musician, and standing him up would be a more rational motive for murder, but Manson didn't know that Melchner had moved out of that house a few months earlier. Mind you this wouldn't have been acceptable either, but more rational. Many wannabe followers called this trial: "The Second Crucifixtion Of Christ" Anyway as I mentioned earlier quite a bit of his prophecy came true; In certain people they feel that minorities are getting preferential treatment, definition of family is becoming more and more broader, children are becoming more and more aggressive, and motive for crime is becoming more and more trivial, and God doesn't seem to be on most people's minds anymore. I don't even know where to begin as to where the country began it's downfall; was it when sexuality was starting to become more studied, was it during McCarthyism?, or when Madeline Muhaney O Hare successfully lobbied to have prayer banned from school. I know I have said I hate the 80's, but to be honest wouldn't the 80's be fruit of what the 60's became? America seems to just wish that anniversaries like this would just go away. Woodstock would be an attempt to save the 60's from despair, but got upstaged by Camille as she ripped through the Mississippi Delta destroying homes. Let's face it folks we as Americans tend to want to repress the negative, and just go on with the positive. We want to think that if we think about it that it will just come back to us, but when the pain is so much we tend to not care anymore, and just do whatever it took to just prove to everyone that we had our act together. I feel with Charlie it was repression that more or less caused him to collapse under all that weight that he carried all his life to come to August 9, 1969. This was the original telemovie aired on Thursday and Friday April 1 and 2nd, 1976 on CBS. I remember this because I was 8, and I wanted to watch it real bad, and was upset that I couldn't. I finally did at 23, and to be honest I see what I missed. The performance by George DiCenzo was good, but to be honest he's forgetable now, Steve Railsback as Manson was almost comical, but impressive. This would also introduce the world to the most famous Beatles tribute band "Beatlemania", and they would do an American tour the Summer of 76. This was above-average telemovie, and has the makings of a wonderful story. Not wonderful in the sense of what happened, but it stayed with what really happened.
a great movie (mini series).......2007-03-17
Finally I found the ORIGINAL version of this film! There exists a condesed version which is the version you will find at vidio stores. That version is just not the same as the long (original) version which has so much more info and much more inpact. THIS VERSION IS A MUST SEE AND IS WORTH THE EXTRA VIEWING TIME!! Thank you Amazon for making this classic available!
Swivel.Hips Review of Helter Skelter.......2007-01-16
This CD set provides a very accurate and riveting portrayal of the history of the notorious Charles Manson and the activities of the Manson family in a time period that not many of today's up-and-coming young adults are even likely to remember.
It is a must see for anyone who is even remotely curious about the events that took place involving this group of predominently young teens, led by this self-appointed "guru," in the late 1960s in southern California.

Depends a lot on age.......2007-06-02
What can I say, standard teletubbies fair. If your child has seen a Teletubbies video anywhere before you probably know the reaction: they either love it or show no interest.
This one our Son (1 year old) went bananas over and we had to buy it. He loves the sunny face, the Teletubbies sequences. He loses a bit of interest in the live action sequences and tends to play with other toys, but when the Tubbies come back on he is captivated.
The DVD represents good value as it runs for a long time (I think it is multiple TV shows all run together) without breaks. It's good to put on for a 10 minute distraction or for an hour plus of absolute silence from the little one. High production values, good music, high quality all round.
Blue, Blue, Blue Sky Blue.......2007-05-25
What is it that makes Teletubbies so compelling for children? Our son is now 14 months old and has been captivated by Teletubbies (or Tetetare as he calls them) since the very first time we played this DVD several months ago. I expect they will still work for him for years to come. This particular selection of Teletubbies adventures and vignettes of children having fun seems to be the most compelling of the Teletubbies DVDs, and it can delight him, distract him or calm him down like nothing else - and I mean NOTHING else. Apart from the baby language used by the Teletubbies, the accents are mostly British, but in some places a US/Canadian voiceover has been added, presumably where the British accent or language would be unfamiliar to a US audience - no French or Spanish language options sadly.
Teletubbies are broadcast on PBS if you want to check out an episode. The beauty of the DVD is you can play it whenever need arises.
My son's favorite.......2006-07-14
My son loves teletubbies and we have eight other videos. But this one absolutely my son's favorite. He is 10.5 months old and he sings blue sky song with Po. :) It is worth the money we spend on this video because first time he sings a song :) Teletubbies - Blue Sky: Fantastic Friends and Springtime Surprises is number one in our house.

GREAT FOR KIDS.......2007-02-12
This was great for my 2 year old...he has watched it literally 100 times already...it has singalongs and games to play with your children interactively. Great JOB!
Disappointed with Thomas.......2006-12-05
I recently purchased "Thomas Comes to Breakfast" for my grandson, who is 19 months old and fascinated with the Thomas train set. He never seems to tire of it. Other parents and grandparents have told us that their own kids and grandchildren are the same way. So, I didn't think twice about ordering the DVD from Amazon. The five-star rating helped me decide.
When I received the DVD in the mail, I anxiously put it in the DVD player to preview it knowing that my grandson would be visiting that evening. As I watched it, I was surprised and dismayed by the dark and sinister nature of the stories. Hoping that it wouldn't be a total loss, I searched to find one story that would be ok for him to watch. I did find one but only one.
A week or so later, I was in a local book store, and I saw "The Best of Thomas," which I bought and found to be a little better, but it still had a dark side, which I didn't like.
Today, my daughter called and explained that she had decided that the DVDs were inappropriate and wasn't going to let my grandson watch them anymore. She related how his personality was changing for the worse since starting to watch the stories and his facial expressions were starting to take on the mean-spirited expressions displayed on the DVDs.
I'm by no means a prude, but the story lines are disturbing and inappropriate. I can't believe that they're so popular if, in fact, they really are. They're just too negative for us.
Buyer beware! Watch one if you can before you decide to buy!
A Must Have For All Thomas Fans!.......2006-10-22
This is one of our all time favorites! The stories of Duck and Diesel are the best!
Great,Great tape.......2006-09-29
This is very good, along with A Big Day For Thomas. This & ABDFT has old stories from the old, discounted tapes(Tenders & Turntables,Thomas Breaks The Rules, and Better Late Than Never).Even though the old tapes had Ringo Starr on it,this is still good with George Carlin. The stories include:
Thomas Comes To Breakfast(Vol.3)
The Duck & Diesel Trilogy(Vol.5)
Gordon Takes A Dip(Vol.5)
Double Trouble(Vol.4)
A Cow On The Line(Vol.4)
Trouble In the Shed(Vol.3)
All in all, this is an exellent tape, paired with A Big Day For Thomas,so if you want to see the old episodes, get this NOW.
P.S If you want some Learning Curve Trains, buy the videos with the trains, and you save yourself some money =)
Classic Thomas Comes to DVD.......2006-03-19
The funny thing about Thomas Comes to Breakfast is that it didn't contain new episodes. It contained Ringo Starr Era stories re-narrated by George Carlin. The story Thomas Comes to Breakfast was part of the Tenders & Turntables release which I highly recommend if you can find a copy. This release is a mix of the tapes Tenders & Turntables, Better Late Than Never, and Thomas Breaks the Rules which are three of the best ever made.
If the DVD is the same as the VHS release, the stories are
Thomas Comes to Breakfast
Pop Goes the Diesel
Diesel's Devious Deed
A Close Shave for Duck
Gordon Takes a Dip
Double Trouble
A Cow on the Line
Trouble in the Shed
If you are new to Thomas then your child probably owns the newer DVDs as opposed to the earlier era which isn't really available on DVD and the tapes are really hard to find. These stories contain none of those activities in between stories. It also features the classic theme song that every old fan loves. If you really want a good release I recommend the Thomas Early Days DVD set which has all the old stories narrated by Ringo Starr. You won't see Emily or Salty in any of these stories but you will see the roots that made Thomas so great and classic. The old stories are the ones that parents will want to watch with their kids.
If your kid loves Thomas than this is a must have. Thomas teaches kids more about sharing and friendship than most of the other shows around. As an added bonus you get the wooden train with it. Thomas is something that your kids will want to watch again and again.

Thomas and Friend - Thomas' Halloween Adventures.......2007-05-09
Very happy with the purchase - My grandson just loved the dvd and toy that came with it.
Great Video.......2007-02-14
This is a pretty good complimation of episodes from other videos that are about Halloween.Just to let you know,Thomas Gets Tricked, which has George Carlin's narraration for the first time, was put in,because "trick" was in there,as it is a part of "Trick-or-Treat".It also has Diesel's Devious Deed, which was re-named to Diesel's Devilious Deed,or something like that to make it more Halloween-ish.This video is really good for around the holiday times.
Front Cover Misleading..........2007-02-08
I was dissapointed when my son received this DVD as it didn't have some episodes I thought it would. Why on earth would they show Emily on the front cover with Thomas (from the newer episode "Halloween") and not even include that episode? It didn't have Flour Power either. Even more misleading is that one of the reviews here lists those episodes as being on this DVD. Unfortunately that was one of the few reviews here when I put it on my son's Christmas list last fall.
While this does have some good episodes that I am happy to own on DVD, I don't understand why they made a Halloween DVD without the newer Halloween episodes and why they made such a misleading cover (Emily isn't in a single episode on this DVD).
