Sunny, happy Torrance (Kirsten Dunst) is the new leader of the Toros, the cheerleading squad of Rancho Carne, an affluent San Diego high school that has lousy football players but one hell of a cheerleading team. National champions, they're the ones who bring in the bodies to the football games with their award-winning moves and sassy grace, and they're poised to take their sixth national cheer title. Torrance's new reign as cheer queen, though, is cut short when she discovers that her snotty, duplicitous forerunner was regularly stealing routines from the East Compton Clovers, the hip-hop influenced cheerleaders of a poor inner city school, and passing them off as the original work of the Toros. Scrambling to come up with a new routine for the Toros--and do the right thing by giving the Clovers their due--Torrance butts heads with the proud and understandably wary Isis (Gabrielle Union), the leader of the Clovers, who wants nothing to do with a rich blond white girl, but does want to get her squad to the championships. Problem is, only one team can take home the national title. Who's it gonna be?
An unexpected box-office hit in the late summer of 2000, Bring It On is a smart, snappy teen comedy that bristles with good cheer (literally) and lively, down-to-earth characters. The story may be fairly predictable (who's going to win the big championship?), but director Peyton Reed and screenwriter Jessica Bendinger have fleshed out their characters with formidable strength and provided them with sharp dialogue. Dunst is a radiant comedian, projecting warmth, determination, sincerity, and a sublime airheadedness, and Union is an impressive dancer and counterpart to Dunst, matching her admirably despite her limited onscreen time. An excellent young supporting cast rounds out the film, most notably Eliza Dushku (Faith of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Jesse Bradford (Steven Soderbergh's King of the Hill) as siblings new to Rancho Carne, who become Torrance's best friend and potential new boyfriend, respectively. All in all, a pleasantly surprising and intelligent teen movie. Don't miss the opening sequence, a hilarious send-up of all those high school cheerleading routines you had to sit through at boring pep rallies. --Mark Englehart

Fired Up and Ready!.......2007-05-17
Bring it on! Bring it on is a really good movie. I really enjoy it. It is about cheerleaders that have competitions against each other. I think I like this movie because I am a cheerleader and I am planning on being a cheerleader all the way through collage. So I watch the movie so that I can get an idea of what I will be doing. Because they are high school cheerleaders and are more experienced.
If you are a cheerleader or are going to be one you should really watch this movie. This movie is rated pg-13, it has a lot of cussing and arguing in it so little kid's probably shouldn't watch it.
In the beginning of the movie big red picks captain. I have a goal for high school. It is to be the captain of the cheerleading squad. I really enjoy cheerleading. I have been a cheerleader since [..]. Okay back to the movie. There are two main cheerleading squads that have the most competition between each other. The Clovers and the Toros. The Clovers don't like the Toro's because when big red was the captain she stole the Clovers routines because the Clovers never had enough money to go to competition.
But close to the end of the movie the Clovers got enough money to go. I liked that part because I know how I feel's to be ready to go to competition they not be able to. You are probably like how would you know. Well this year was our first year to get to go to competition, and then a bunch of the cheerleader's parents complained to the principle, about how hard our coaches had been pushing us to get us ready. So he told our coaches that we couldn't go. But I'm encouraging you to watch this movie. If you are a cheerleader or want to be a cheerleader. But first make sure its okay with your parents because it is rated pg-13 and has a lot of cursing and drama. Also if you want to be a cheerleader but you don't like drama I would advise you not to be because there is a lot of drama in cheerleading.

Cheerleaders.......2007-05-17
Look out Kirsten Dunst. Here's Eliza Dushku! She took this movie, along with a great cast.
Cheers.......2007-04-10
I loved the cheerleading parts, but the story lines were a little over the top and in-your-face. I suppose the teens would like that O.K., but it gets a little old. The cheerleading sequences make it all worth it, however.
Holds your interest just long enough to disappoint you.......2007-04-02
The clever, sneering cheer that opens BRING IT ON got my hopes up. As the beautiful young women play to the camera, cheering about how they've got it all - and how you would like to either be one of them or have one of them - I thought I was in for a funny, sexy look at the politics of high school popularity and the competition for it. Alas, BRING IT ON slowly winds down to a TV-movie level story where everyone has to win and no one looks bad. Yet it's worth seeing for its strengths, namely the athletic cheers and especially 18-year old Kirsten Dunst's stunningly attractive torso, which BRING IT ON shows aplenty. I don't think there's a midriff-baring outfit available that the fair-skinned beauty Miss Dunst doesn't wear in this film!
BARNUM'S LOVE CHILD.......2007-03-30
BRING IT ON was the first film of Peyton Reed who directed since then DOWN WITH LOVE with Renée Zellweger and recently THE BREAK-UP with Jennifer Aniston, three comedies. I decided to watch this movie with my wife and my two children (9 and 12) and we all had a very good time. Even now, 30 years after, my first souvenir of the U.S.A. is still the vision of a group of cheerleaders practising in the rain near the Boston airport and when I happen to spare some nostalgic thoughts about the Grand Canyon and the desert of Arizona, I sometimes see in my mind, between the cactuses, girls wearing miniskirts and doing strange artistic figures.
Now, if you decide to watch BRING IT ON, you surely know what to expect from this kind of movie. The story focuses on the peculiar world of this sport with its joys, defeats and usual cheatings. Characters are interesting and the bound heart problems of Kirsten Dunst don't spoil the innocent pleasure provided by BRING IT ON.
A DVD zone local idiosyncrasies.

Bring It On: All or Nothing is the idealized version of what happens when a rich girl from an elite California school is forced to transfer to an urban setting for her senior year of high school. Former head cheerleader Britney (Hayden Panettiere, Ice Princess) finds herself with a quandary--does she join the new squad, or does she stick to the promise she made to her old teammates that she'll never cheer again? Given that this is the second sequel to the Bring It On franchise, which started with Kirsten Dunst's 2000 flick, and that there's really no reason for this movie to exist without a match-up between Britney's old and new squads, of course she must bring her pompoms out of retirement. In between routines, she manages to land the hottest male cheerleader, Jesse (Gus Carr), and befriend Camille (Beyonce's little sis Solange Knowles-Smith), the feisty head of the squad. She even excuses Britney from practice when the latter lies and says her family pet has died: "Who am I to stand between a white girl and her dead dog?" Beyond the inclusion of a few broad stereotypes dealt for laughs, this straight-to-DVD movie doesn't dwell on any real racial issues that a spoiled white girl actually might face at a predominantly ethnic school. Unlike Dunst's film, which was mindless but well-crafted, this sequel asks nothing of its actors but to look good and leap high. Bring It On: All or Nothing has already been brought. Twice. --Jae-Ha Kim

If you are a fifteen year old girl at heart or just a big dork you will enjoy this movie. Marcy Rylan steals the show from Hayden Panettiere. You should see Marcy in the movie "Armageddon for Andy." That's a movie you will never forget.
Fun movie with great music!.......2007-03-12
This movie is fun to watch and has great music throughout the movie! Although it's the 3rd Bring It On DVD it stands on it's own for an interesting storyline. The street dancing combined with cheering makes it more believable for the music video cheer competition. Also the acting is really good. The movie didn't produce a soundtrack but the music was excellent! Here is a list of the songs:
1. "What Ya Waiting For" by Gwen Stefani
2. "Bring It On" by Sean Van Der Wilt
3. "My Happy Ending" by Avril Lavigne
4. "Beverly Hills" by Weezer
5. "Let's Move" by The Transcenders
6. "Pon De Replay" by Rihanna
7. "SOS" by Rihanna
8. "Maryanne" by Jeffrey Foskett
9. "Over Again" by Fuse
10. "Pom Pom Funeral" by Tony DiMito

13. "How Cool is That" by Kristy Frank
14. "What's Up Doc (Can We Rock?)" (Hardknox Mix) by Fu-Schnickens Vs. Hardknox
15. "Come With It" by Danielle Savre
16. "Solo Star" by Solange
17. "Rich Girl" by Gwen Stefani with Eve
18. "Whole Again" by Play

This sprightly, sardonic sequel to Bring It On has little connection to the Kirsten Dunst comedy, but is a lot of fun on its own terms. Freshman Whittier (Anne Judson-Yager) arrives at California State University in Los Angeles intent on auditioning for the cheerleading squad. Discovering student life to be a mix of the mundane (dumb football players) and iconoclastic (sundry militants), she buddies up with a former rival (Faune Chambers), for comfort, and gets an easygoing boyfriend (Richard Lee Jackson). But after impressing the shrewish head cheerleader, Tina (Bree Turner), with her astonishing agility, Whittier is lured to campus celebrity and briefly loses her head--and friends. After wising up, Tina dismisses Whittier from the squad, forcing the outcast to start a rival (and much sexier) cheerleading crew. Broad performances, particularly Turner's monstrous child of privilege, make Bring It On Again worth a visit. --Tom Keogh
Customer Reviews:
Ideal For A Really Sadistic Re-Gifter.......2006-12-10
It's hard to believe that any movie industry professionals were actually associated with straight-to-video production "Bring It On Again" (2004). Although a sequel, it is more like a really painful blend of "Revenge of the Nerds" and "Cadet Kelly".
Despite the warnings I actually watched my soon to be re-gifted DVD. Anne Judson-Yager (who looks like Reese Witherspoon plus 30 pounds) plays new college freshman and aspiring cheerleader Whittier Smith. She and her friend Monica (Faune A. Chambers) pass the audition and come under the scrutiny of sadistic head cheerleader Tina Hammersmith (Bree Turner). They soon tire of life under Tina and form a rival cheerleading squad of fine arts students and campus radicals. Despite a host of available movie stereotypes the screenwriter can't seem to figure out how to portray this crowd and you actually feel embarrassed for the actors who must deal with these portions of her script. Production design, style, and unity are apparently unknown elements to director Damon Santostefano (unsuccessfully seeking work since making this movie) and the whole thing seems randomly thrown together. It must have been an assembly nightmare for the editor, who may or may not share some of the blame-it's hard to tell.
I'm at somewhat of a loss as to the target demographic for "Bring It On Again". These things tend to be pitched to producers for their sexploitation potential. And in this case they could at least count on a pre-sold sexploitation audience of original "Bring It On" fans. But the only tie with the original is the subject of cheerleading and those looking for sexploitation elements will be disappointed.
My guess is that the target audience is actually preteen girls. The script is certainly on that age and sophistication level. The male members of the cast appear to have been selected for their looks (certainly not their acting skills) while the female members are a dreary looking bunch (although their limited acting skills are well-matched with those of the male cast). When your leading lady looks like Judson-Yager and your only really pretty actress is cast as the cheer squad's towel girl; alarm bells should start sounding for those outside this target demographic. I bet the producers wish that they had heard those bells and monitored this project a little closer.
Then again, what do I know? I'm only a child.
Better than the first and third!.......2006-08-28
Bring it on again rocks!!! People bag it. It is totally the best bring it on film out of the lot. It is better than the new one. And better than the first.
Bad not horrible.......2006-08-12
Yeah, it's pretty bad. The first and third are waaay better. The second one has lame jokes, is boring, and did I mention it had lame jokes? Not funny, not entertaining. If you really have nothing better to do, then pop this in your DVD player.
Bring it on is soooo much better then the so called 'sequel!'.......2006-07-15
I think that Bring it on Again is a really bad movie, not to mention the boringness in it. The reason I have given it a 2 out of 5 stars is bcuz it was plain boring. I mean who would wanna watch a movie like this? Firstly actors werent hot like the the people in the first movie. There wasnt any one there that made the movie any better or any more fun to watch. The rest of it was pretty boring! Secondly, the movie was way boring coz the stars were practically anonomous! And they still are! Thirdly the movie just wasnt as fun as the first one. I mean the cheers in this movie isnt even that good. And u wouldnt repeat the cheers after the movie unlike the first movie, after an hour u would still think of the cheers and say it to urself. Maybe even copy them and use it for ur own team! And there werent any 'higher stakes, hotter grooves or any more attitude! ' It doesnt even have hotter grooves or moves and the person who created the cover must be crazy becuz there is NOT any more attitude! So over all this movie is not worth watching bcuz its really boring and its just doesnt have as much groove as the first movie. I have to say, no offence to the whole cast or anything.. but this is the worst sequel to a great movie ive ever watched!
How Did it Go Wrong?.......2005-11-28
The movie so many enjoyed, Bring It On was great, but I wouldn't recommend watching this one. The theme, cheerleading, was the same but everything else was worse. The movie started out with cheerleading captain, Tina, being someone everyone idolized, yet Tina was mean to the point of open violence, not even artificial all the time, and yet in power. Severe plot flaw? The script was honestly terrible, with terrible character development, a plot that didn't hang together, and a disappointing ending.
When you see Tina, you automatically form a dislike of her that increases throughout the movie. She openly bullies others, and loses her temper, as well as makes vengeful glares after finishing cheers which are spotlighted on TV. Yet nobody seems to notice. You see an easy, plain routine the night before the playoff and an elaborate, advanced one the day of it. How could that happen while the team was asleep? The ending occurs just after the climax, which makes the entire movie seem like a 30 minute clip. What happened to the resolution? Oh, it went into the mean, snobby and proud Tina begging to be part of the team she openly hated, the one a girl who couldn't stand her anymore created. That was maybe the last minute, and after all that action, it went directly into the credits.
This was an overall disappointing movie that leaves you feeling empty and longing for the much more satisfying "Bring it on" without the 'again.'

The street dancing combined with cheering makes it more believable for the music video cheer competition. Also the acting is really good. The movie didn't produce a soundtrack but the music was excellent! Here is a list of the songs:
1. "What Ya Waiting For" by Gwen Stefani
2. "Bring It On" by Sean Van Der Wilt
3. "My Happy Ending" by Avril Lavigne
4. "Beverly Hills" by Weezer
5. "Let's Move" by The Transcenders
6. "Pon De Replay" by Rihanna
7. "SOS" by Rihanna
8. "Maryanne" by Jeffrey Foskett
9. "Over Again" by Fuse
10. "Pom Pom Funeral" by Tony DiMito
11. "Mickey" by Transcenders
12. "Papa" by Papa Reu
13. "How Cool is That" by Kristy Frank
14. "What's Up Doc (Can We Rock?)" (Hardknox Mix) by Fu-Schnickens Vs. Hardknox
15. "Come With It" by Danielle Savre
16. "Solo Star" by Solange
17. "Rich Girl" by Gwen Stefani with Eve
18. "Whole Again" by Play
19. "3rd Coast Anthem" by Mojoe
20. "Cheerleader" by Erica Williams & Marcus Hicks
21. "Bring It On" by Erica Williams & Marcus Hicks
22. "Hype Up" by Planet Asia

These episodes focus primarily on upperclassman Kuno, the self-proclaimed "Blue Thunder of Furinken High." Seishu High cheerleader Mariko sabotages a volleyball match, reducing Akane to tears. Ranma vows revenge, which means he has to outdo Mariko at leading cheers for Kuno during a kendo match. Akane finds the winning strategy in Martial Arts Cheerleading for Dummies; Kuno declares his love for her, Mariko, and "the pig-tailed girl." While rummaging through the family mansion, Kuno and Saisuke discover a drum with awesome destructive powers. Kuno merrily blasts away until Kodachi presents an equally powerful lute to Furinken's nutty principal. They give new meaning to the term "battle of the bands," then Akane squelches them by calling Ranma a jerk at full volume. Kuno's impressions of a Kabuki musician are funny, but this collection ranks among the weaker entries in the series. (Rated 13 and older: brief nudity, risqué humor) --Charles Solomon
Description
It's not easy being a teenaged martial artist named Ranma Saotome, but it's even worse when your martial artist father Genma takes you from home at an early age to a training ground known as JUSENKYO, where falling into one of the many springs instantly turns you into whoever or whatever drowned their last. In Bring It ON!, having learned (or been the victim of) almost any martial arts style imaginable, Ranma's nevertheless about to learn a whole new one: Martial Arts Cheerleading! Sure, Ranma's got the basic moves down, and that uniform is really cute, but then it turns out that it's Kuno's kendo match he has to cheer for. Meanwhile, during an annual cleaning of the estate, Kuno comes across an ancient taiko drum that's got the devastating power of a howitzer.

--Tom Keogh
