If nothing else, the powers that be behind this terrible sequel to the 1989 hit Look Who's Talking will be divinely punished for abusing John Lennon's "Jealous Guy" on the soundtrack. Until then, it's better to push memories of this movie to the back of one's memory. John Travolta and Kirstie Alley reprise their roles from the earlier film, but this time their married relationship is in trouble for sundry reasons. Adding to that complication is the arrival of a new baby (whined by Roseanne Barr) to join the previous one (quipped by Bruce Willis). Mel Brooks and Damon Wayans add their voices to those of some other kids, but this hastily patched-together follow-up wouldn't be funny no matter how may comic minds you threw in the mix. Between the shoddy script and miscasting of Barr, there's enough doom to go around in this thing, but an opening-credits sequence that manages, through crummy special effects, to turn a sperm's path toward an egg into a nauseating experience doesn't help. Not as Great as the First........2007-02-18

The first one was the best. But this one is pretty good too. At least you get to see John Travolta move his hips along to Elvis' songs around the Baby Gym!

The babies mouths tend to move while Bruce Willis and Roseanne Barr do the voice-overs. Because of that, it can get very distracting.

Other than that, this movies is, as well, a very adorable one and a keeper!

"Look Who's Talking Too" Is A Winner.......2007-01-17

We looked to rent "Look Who's Talking Too" in numerous video stores and could never find it. We were able to rent "Look Who's Talking" (the original) and "Look Who's Talking Now" (the 3rd in the series). So when we were able to purchase "LWTT", we did. It's as much fun as the original. Our kids (age 13 and 10) enjoyed this movie alot. They know John Travolta from "Grease", "Saturday Night Fever", etc. and Kirstie Alley from "Cheers", commercials, etc. but never saw any of the "Look Who's Talking" movies. We'd recommend this to anyone who's a fan.

Being a fan of the first movie, I loved this addition. I love Roseanne as the voice of Julie. Of course, John Travolta and Kirstie Alley are great together. Of course, sequels are never as good as the original but this one is definitely worth watching.

Baby Talk 2.......2004-02-12

LOOK WHO'S TALKING TOO(the synonym of "also" used in place of the number 2) was theatrically released just before Christmas 1990,a little over a year after the first film was released. Now,there are two talking babies named Mikey and Julie,voiced by Bruce Willis and Roseanne Barr,respectively. Barr was at the time,a fairly new television star bearing her first name. She had broken ground in 1988 with the sitcom co-starring John Goodman,who would be a sometime movie star himself. Kirstie Alley and John Travolta reprise their roles of Mollie and James,now a married couple. This film introduces Mollie's brother Stuart(Elias Koteas). Stuart is an accountant just like his sister. James is not driving taxis much anymore,his main job being an airline pilot(as what Travolta does in real life). One night,Stuart shows up at Mollie and James' apartment. James believes Stuart is a maniac who is scaring Mikey and Julie. In another scene,James returns home to a gun pointed at him by Stuart. Stuart mistook James for an intruder or a burglar. "Why do have a gun in my house?",a somewhat angry James asks him. "There are kids here!",James then says. When James goes to bed he refers to Stuart as "Travis Bickle",Robert DeNiro's character in the 1976 film "Taxi Driver". James is fed up with Stuart's presence in the Ubriaccos' home and suggests to Molly that he stay with Mollie's mom and dad. "They'd kill each other",she tells James. This leads to a heated argument causing the Ubriaccos to briefly separate. In a later scene,a fire breaks out in the kitchen,extinguished by James. Mikey and Julie exit the building via an elevator. A thief breaks into the Ubriaccos' apartment and is discovered and captured by Stuart. Mollie's best friend Rona(Twink Caplan),who was also in the first film,was so proud of Stuart's heroism that she suggested that she and Stuart marry,since they've been romantically involved. In the last scene,James,Mollie,Mikey,Julie,Stuart,Rona and Mollie's and Stuart's mom and dad are all picnicking somewhere.

Hysterical sequal, If you have kids, You'll Love It.......2003-11-07

Most parents will truly appeciate the nuances of this very funny movie. While some of the humor is simplistic, the humor is seen through the eyes of two children, so there is a need for an occasional poke in the ribs. For those of us who have had the blessing of watching our children develop, and have found the wonderful place in our hearts that only our children can touch, the humor rings true. Roseanne Barr delivers a surprisingly authentic and precious interpretation of the mind set of Julie, the younger sister. Bruce Willis is still quite convincing as the older brother Mikey. There are script problems with the adult story lines. It is very hard to believe that mom - Molly - allows a very dangerous person to take care of the kids. Molly's brother, while acted well, only rises to comic book stature. But you will want to watch this again and again, for the reason you watched the first time, to touch that place in your heart where you store the memories of your own children.

This cute, 1989 comedy directed by Amy Heckerling (Fast Times at Ridgemont High) helped keep John Travolta busy during some fallow years and extended America's then-love affair with Bruce Willis, whose voice is the only part of him that appears. This is really cute.

A girl has an affair and gets pregnant. But she meets her future husband in a taxi on her way to the hospital on the day of the Mikey's birth.

I wouldn't say it was one of John Travolta's best, but this movie will make you laugh so hard your face turns red!

John Travolta and Kirsty Alley are excellent in this film. Kirsty Alley falls Pregnant and the film focuses on the life of her son, Mikey(voice by Bruce Willis).

The combination of these three actors means that the film keeps you smiling all the way through. Watch this film or you won't know what you are missing.

Sequel i would not really recommend, cause it's not so funny, but this movie is really worth watching.

Look whos talking.......2007-01-19

This is a very funny movie Starring Kirsty Alley & John Travolta . The story of how Kirsty Alley gets pregnant while having an affair with a married guy who has all kind of excuses of why they cant be together. She gives birth to Mikey (woman can relate to all the birthing parts of this movie :) ) and she hires a babysitter(John Travolta) who is great with Mikey. Kirsty tries to decide who would be a better father to Mikey and the rest is a very funny romantic story with a scarey but happy ending. Mikey talks thru the whole movie(or what we percieve that hes saying) and is an adorable charactor. This is the best in the sequel of
Look Whos Talking movies but I rate them all very highly.

A Film That Speaks To You?.......2006-10-12

"Look Who's Talking" is probably my favorite film with Kirstie Alley, my favorite film with John Travolta (though "Grease" comes close) and my favorite film with Bruce Willis (though I'm not exactly a fan of his). It's funny, it's romantic, it's got some innovative special effects, a couple of car chases, and John Travolta even gets to fly a plane (which he must have really enjoyed at the time!).

Kirstie Alley plays Mollie, an accountant who has an office affair with one of her clients (George Segal), and ends up getting pregnant. It wasn't planned, and she's a little ashamed of the source, but Mollie soon warms to the idea of having a baby. After a traumatic day late in the preganacy, Mollie goes into labor in the middle of the bustling streets of New York, and takes a cab driven by the easy going James (John Travolta). Though it's not really what he wants to do (he wants to be a pilot) he's very good at driving a cab, and gets Mollie there very quickly. She has the baby, Mikey, and he's something of a thinker (voice/thoughts spoken by Bruce Willis), wondering to himself what this strange world around him is, and who these strange people around him are. He starts to grow up as time goes on, and Mollie decides to look for a father. She made a mistake, and she owes it to Mikey to find him a Dad. She dates here, she dates there, but could the right Dad be staring her in the face this whole time?

Everyone plays their part well, and the plot flows really nicely, bit of action, bit of a thoughtful moment, bit of a laugh. It's a romatic comedy of sorts, and it's a funny look at early motherhood, it's interesting seeing both happening at the same time. It's one of those films I can watch again and again, and have done over the years. The soundtrack is great too, a mixture of some older pop hits and contemporary 1980s tunes (including "Dumb Things" by Australian musician Paul Kelly during the taxi labor scene, a song I really like).

Overall, it's a sweet and funny little film, a definitely worth a look for fans of anyone in it. Recommended.

What's wrong with people - this movie was great!!.......2005-08-31

LOOK WHO'S TALKING actually did very well when it came out. I think these amazon people take things too seriously or don't have kids, or have such stressful lives they can't enjoy any kind of humor these movies have. I even enjoyed it when it came out and i was still in elementary school. My mom enjoyed it, and she loved babies and everything that had to do with babies and kids. Parents would enjoy this movie, not all but most. I'm not even one of those "kid lovers" I like kids, but not obsessed or anything like many kid lovers are. But LOOK WHO'S TALKING is a simple comedy with many funny parts like when kirstie alley's voice turned into a devil voice as she went into labor, because of the pain. To me, and my mom that part was hilarious and many women could relate to that because giving birth is no picnic, especially when it's your first baby. I've never given birth, but i've heard the stories. Anyways, i also read many amazon people's reviews about how horrible look who's talking too was, i'm thinkin' what is wrong with people nowadays? That was a cute movie too, the baby girl was as cute as a button, and the acting wasn't bad. I dont understand that. And at the end when mikey took his baby sisters's hand and they walked, and you could see her wobbling, and that cute baby walk which is so cute words can't describe, and the song i got you babe added to the moment. What's not to love, that was an adorable ending all i could say was AWWWWWW!!! people need to lighten up, especially if you wanna be good parents. Try to enjoy life, and not take things so seriously. These movies were basically about that. All those little funny and heartwarming moments when your kid is born and starts to grow and learn. But LOOK WHO'S TALKING NOW i must agree with the others because it was horrible. It doesn't make sense frankly, the first two films were about talking babies, why go to dogs? I like dogs and everything buy WHY? It's almost embarassing to watch. Kind of absurd and yes the acting was horrific, and cheeesy script, and everything in the film was flat out stupid. What next talking furniture and appliances lol. But the first two are still great films, and john travolta is one of my favorite actors, and elias koteas who was in number two was funny, like he was in some kind of wonderful.

The last film in the minifranchise goes to the dogs, literally, to keep the series' major gimmick intact--letting the audience hear the thoughts of the little newcomers in the Ubriacco family. The kids who were once babies in the two prior films can now babble for themselves, so the script finds the adult characters taking in two mutts who do a "Lady and the Tramp" thing while we listen in. Travolta (rescued a year later in 1994's Pulp Fiction) and Alley mark time while Danny De Vito and Diane Keaton provide the most entertainment performing the dogs' voices. Not awful, but not necessary either, and a long way from the small but real qualities of the first film. --Tom Keogh

Being the wolf and dog lover that I am, I watched this movie on TV. It was pretty good and funny until near the end. They portray wolves as evil human killers in this movie. That angered me a lot. Wolves don't eat people in real life. There hasn't even been one recorded attack of a healthy wolf on a human either. Even if you were stranded out in the forest of Alaska, you'd have a better chance of getting attacked by a dog or bear or getting stung by a bug! Wolves are actually shy around humans and do their best to avoid them as much as they can. But, there have been no recorded attacks of a wolf or wolves attacking a human or humans in North America. Same probably goes for South America too.
Wolves are social animals, which means they live together like a human family would. They protect and care for eachother as well. The male wolves will usually baby sit the pups while the alpha male and female(the parents of the pups) want some time alone. Mother wolves also care for their wolves and treat them with love and caring that any human mother would. And, unlike most other animals, mother wolves don't abandon their pups when they are old enough to take care of their own. She still stays in the pack with them and so do the other wolves. Sure, she doesn't watch over them all the time anymore since they don't need babysitting any longer, but she does not leave her pack and family for good like most other animal mothers. Isn't that what us humans do when children grow up, become an adult, and don't need to be watched anymore?
The wolves usually howl for fun. They don't really howl at the moon though. That's a myth. Wolves howl for the following reasons: Fun, to call the pack together, or to tell other packs where they are. Although wolves eat meat, they don't eat or attack people. What wolves really eat are the following animals: Moose, deer, elk, caribou, rabbits, and some other small wild animals. Us humans eat those kind of animals too, do we not?
Hmm...let's stop and think for a minute. It looks to me like wolves are nothing but a reflected image of ourselves.
Anyway, if you loves wolves like me, you won't like the last scene in the movie so, I wouldn't recommend this film to you.

why is everyone giving one star for the movie.i rented this movie and it was great!!!!!so yesterday i went to movie tading company and they have this movie!!!!!!so i tell my mom that i want to buy this movie.and what do you think?!my mom bought the movie for me!!!this movie is much better than look whos talking and look whos talking too.so don't buy the movie first. you rent the movie first.because if buy the movie first you are going to think that the movie was waste of money which it's not and you are going to put a one star on this movie and i don't like that.this is a must see and buy.and i mean that.

Hilarious! .......2004-12-18

For a while HBO would show this movie 4 or 5 times a day, but I could never resist watching it again and again whenever I came across it. John Travolta and Kirstie Alley are so endearing, and the kids are hilarious. Anyone who has siblings can understand the hilarity behind their sibling rivalry. The dogs, or course, are the best part, voiced by Danny DeVito and Diane Keaton. This movie is great for kids or adults. Kids get to enjoy the talking dogs and adults (at least females) get to look at John Travolta. :)

What can I say? Possibly my all-time favourite film, it comprises childish playfulness with mischeivous adult humour whilst reinforcing core values of love, loyalty, family and best of all, Christmas! Not a film for stuffy old scrooges, but if you can get past the talking dogs (and at one point talking sperm as well!) you will see it as one of the most beautiful and heart-warming films ever made. A part of the Look Who's Talking series, but 's really no need to watch the other two films first, Look Who's Talking Now stands alone as a masterpiece.
James Ubriacco (John Travolta) is a happy-go-lucky chap who gets through life mucking about and making people laugh. Not the usual example of one of life's high-flyers, James gets offered his dream job as a pilot but only because the rich blonde president of the company, Samantha LeBon, fancies him! But she's got her work cut out trying to seduce him, as James is already married to the beautiful Molly (Kirstie Alley) who he adores, and although she gets a little frustrated with his joking around, the two are very much in love, living happily with their two endearing children, Mikey and Julie. On hearing how desperate Mikey is for a dog, Samantha gives James her French poodle, Daphne (a bitch in every sense of the word) just as James has bought Mikey a mongrel dog, Rocks, from the rescue home. This annoys Molly who didn't want a dog in the first place, and she is lumbered with two dogs while scheming Samantha is flying James all over the world and never letting him home. But as Samantha's plans become more devious and James is forced to spend Christmas away from home, will temptation overcome him or will he make it home for Christmas? Or will Christmas make it's way to Daddy...? With two intelligent dogs that secretly talk to thrown into the equation, anything's possible!
The story between the dogs is just as captivating as the story between the people, the humour is of a dry, intelligent nature, the children and dogs are very cute and the chemistry between Travolta and Alley is unsurpassable! A true gem of a film, Look Who's Talking Now will make Christmas complete, whether you're young or old this film is bound to crack a smile! :-)

It's a funny movie that will have you laughting for hours.It is a very funny story about a baby who can talk but no one can hear him.The secont movie is about his sister.who can only talk to him and hear him.the third is about there family dogs.The dogs can only talk to each other.The movies will have you laughting uncontrobly.

I'm very disappointed in Sony for releasing a box set these days in full screen only, what's worst is that it's not indicated anywhere on the box. You have to unwrap it to find out and therefore cannot return it to amazon, their policy states: We cannot accept the return of books, CDs, videos, and DVDs unless they are unopened and still in their plastic wrap or in original condition. I guess I'm stuck with it now.

great deal for these semi-cheesy yet semi-classic films...
only thing i wish they would've done different was include the original released dvd's that were in widescreen format as all 3 are full framed.
