Description

Ryan Dunn (played by himself) is one sorry SOB; he's completely hung up on Glauren (Jenn Rivell), his ex-girlfriend, even though she's out playing the field. Rumor spreads that she's hooked up with heavy metal's poster child, aptly named Hellboy (Rake Yohn). Ryan can't stand the thought of the two of them together, so he recruits his friends Valo (Bam Margera) and Falcone (Brandon DiCamillo) to find out the truth. The pair do whatever it takes to get their evidence, even break into her house. In the meantime Ryan flirts with insanity, has run-ins with the law and even gets stabbed in the eye with a fork as his friends try relentlessly to help him forget the girl. Haggard also features special appearances by professional skateboarders Tony Hawk, Jason Ellis and Bucky Lasek.

5 out of 5 stars Love it .......2007-05-16

If you like the craziness of Jackass and Viva la bam! Then you will like this. Its very similar only theres no stunts, its a storyline with a plot! Which makes its a great comedy and a little strange but none the less its extremely funny. Just remember who's acting in it Bam Margera, Dico, Dunn, And Raab and Of course Mr. Don Vito!! as well as many more , you defiantly know with people like that you are going to have a seriously funny zany movie

2 out of 5 stars So BAD.......2007-05-14

I bought this DVD, being a big Bam/Jackass fan...and boy, was I disappointed. There are times when the writers of this film take it too seriously, and times when they don't take it seriously enough. It was kind of all over the place for me. I think the guys should just stick with what they do best and not try to seem so "deep".

5 out of 5 stars Hilarium Ensued.......2007-04-13

This movie was so freakin hilarious I watched twice the day I got it and I have watched it like 3 times afterwards. Excellent movie can't wait for another from Bam and the crew.

5 out of 5 stars Best. Movie. Ever........2007-03-20

If you like the CKY guys -- this is a must own. If like me -- you like Ryan Dunn -- it's a chance to see him on screen almost the whole time looking totally foxy. Excellent performances from Bam, Raab and Dico. We hate Glauren.

5 out of 5 stars Stakeout is classic Dreyfuss!.......2007-05-13

What a great, well written faced paced film. Classic style elements create moments of humor which lead into some very tense, heart-hammering thrills. This is a must see film for those who enjoy the work of Richard Dreyfuss and follow this genre of "cop-film". Well done and worth owning.

5 out of 5 stars Better than most cop thriller.......2005-12-31

Richard Dreyfuss is excellent as a cop on a stakeout (along with partner Emilio Estevez) of pretty Madeleine Stowe (they have to watch her house through the night), and he falls in love with her. Before the movie is over there's a big car chase and an exciting climax in a lumber mill with a killer (Aidan Quinn). It's pretty standard fare for this kind of cop movie, but the script is above average - especially the dialogue - and Dreyfuss's performance is right on target. A very entertaining movie; definitely worth a watch.

3 out of 5 stars Not bad at all.......2005-05-06

Although the film lasted a bit longer than it should have been, I thought it was OK. I do think however the film would have been a lot more watchable if it hadn't been for Emilio Estevez's god awful weedy little mustache. How long did that take him to grow? A few months? Take it from me sweetie, it doesn't make you less baby-faced, it makes you stupid. And how about Madeleine Stowe? She was certainly the best bit about the movie, and for trivia fans, she also appeared in Little House On The Prairie. Good grief, now how do I know that? :)

I think the poster for this movie, is really fabulous, but corny as hell! I wasn't sure about Richard Dreyfuss, he was OK, but why did they have to make him fall in love with the pretty young lady? Hasn't that been done enough now? And it's predictable as hell. The practical jokes were hilarious though. Richard and Emilio were having a movie trivia contest on the set one day. Emilio asked Richard to identify the movie that the line "This is no boating accident" was from. He didn't recognize the quote, despite the fact that he was the actor who said it in Jaws. Deciding that this was too good to pass up, this incident was re-enacted for the film. Emilio & Richard actually work really well with each other, and are actually a lot of other "buddy cop" movies. At least they didn't do the old cop-near-retiring-taking-on-a-young-upstart. And is it just me, or does Emilio conveniently disappear for most of the second half?

I'm not keen on Aidan Quinn as the bad guy. It's just not him. And how BAD was his hair? At one point, he put on these shades, and I swear he changed into Rocky. Did anyone else notice this? The shades, the big hair.

OK, I know this review has turned out into more of a rant about the characters/actors, but it's still an alright movie.

4 out of 5 stars One of the best action/comedies of the 80s.......2005-03-28

Though the sequel was lame, this first 'Stakeout' has a nice blend of action and humor, along with the lovely city of Seattle as the backdrop, to withstand repeated viewings. The key to the movie is the interplay between Dreyfuss and Estevez. They really give you the feeling that they've been partners/buddies for a while. Their exchanges feel natural and flow easily. The plot is decent and the action comes in healthy doses. And, as one reviewer noted, what's not to like about Madeleine Stowe(?), although she looks lost during all of the action scenes. Redeeming that is the on screen chemistry she has with Dreyfuss. The 'love interest angle' works because these two actors work well together. I highly recommend this movie-

5 out of 5 stars Great Movie but the DVD offers nothing!.......2002-08-15

I awaited this DVD release along with the sequel and Down and Out in Beverly Hills. All three (3) of these movies offer nothing, not even the trailers were on these DVD's. Very dissapointing. Instead they put 2 trailers of other releases they have coming out.

Anyhow, even though the DVD's have no special features what so ever, they do however have pretty good picture and sound. Stakeout has always been one of my favorite movies for it's campy-ness and I'm glad Touchstone finally dedicated to release it.

Description

A comic battle of wills and an outrageous test of endurance ensues when this trio is grudgingly assigned to keep vigil -- as unobtrusively as possible -- in a small, upscale resort community. Pretending to be an average American family on vacation, it's an unlikely domestic arrangement at best. But, like a typical family, they're stuck with one another. Trying to convincingly play house while keeping an eye on the home of their unsuspecting neighbors, this dysfunctional clan of incompatible companions is at one another's throats as they await the appearance of a missing witness for the state's case against a Las Vegas mob boss. And if they'd call a truce for a minute, and get off one another's case, they just might solve this one.

3 out of 5 stars Lacks the integrity of the original..........2005-08-13

...but still good to watch. It's consistently funny and has a reasonable plot but you get the feeling it should have been better. Maybe it's too late to save the series with another movie but it would be great to see Richard Dreyfuss on the big screen again, he really is an under-appreciated and underrated actor.

The main problem with Another Stakeout is that it just isn't as strong as the first film. Sure it was funny and had childish humor but Stakeout had a hard edge that this sequel just doesn't equal. The dropping of the R-rating for a PG-13 might have made economic sense but it betrays fans of the original.

Second is all Another Stakeout has going for it is the endless arguing and fast-talking banter between the 3 characters. There's no perfect mix of smart-mouthing and action. In fact, the action is far too toned down and only really occurs at the very beginning and very end of the film.

And for all the work John Badham has done in the past, the direction is lacklustre and uninventive. With the sole exception of the cat's bum POV shot of course. And he does do a great job with the Pacific Northwest scenery. But enough with the in-jokes. Yes, they are fun but there's too many for a film like this.

If you're a fan of the first you might be disappointed at how diluted Another Stakeout is but you'll still laugh enough for it to be worthwhile and anything with Dennis Farina is always good.

The DVD is in 2.10 anamorphic widescreen (the incorrect aspect ratio) with Dolby 5.1 sound and no extras.

2 out of 5 stars Another Tired Retread.......2004-01-30

"That's it, nobody calls me Ed McMahon!"

- Emilio Estevez saying the funniest line from a rather dry sequel

"Another Stakeout" was six years in the waiting. After the first film, "Stakeout," made a huge splash at the box office in 1987 (the same year another cop-buddy film came out--can you guess which one?), everyone anticipated an unnecessary--but perhaps funny--sequel that would inevitably result after box office earnings were tallied up by film executives in an office somewhere.

Alas, the six years passed, and we got...this mess?

Richard Dreyfuss and Emilio Estevez reprise their roles as stakeout cops who get paired with a new partner in this watered-down sequel. The new partner is played by Rosie O'Donnell, who is so startlingly unfunny in this it almost makes you involuntarily switch off the television as soon as you see her chubby face smiling at you.

The story starts with a bang--literally--as a trial witness being protected by the CIA is unsuccessfully assassinated--and by that I mean: They die, she lives. What a surprise. (This is the type of scene where the villain is able to blow up a house but the witness just happens to be taking a stroll outside as it happens--or something like that--preventing her from dying along with the other agents who were previously protecting her. This type of thing was spoofed greatly in the truly underrated "Last Action Hero." It's not a joke in "Another Stakeout.")

Unfortunately for the United States, the trial witness never returns--she runs away and doesn't let anyone know where she is. Afraid she may be in danger, afraid to lose a star witness, and believing that she might try to contact old friends, the gruff chief of police assigns the unlucky trio of Dreyfuss, Estevez and Donnell to watch the her old pals to see if she turns up.

She eventually does, of course, but first we get some painfully unfunny buddy-buddy moments between Dreyfuss and Estevez and O'Donnell. She brings a bunch of clothing and a dog with her. They don't like it. Har-har. This was used a bit better in "Spaceballs," in which Princess Vespa brought along that entire luggage through the desert (remember?). This is just a copy of that scene, minus the punch line.

Estevez also shaves his mustache, which is supposed to be a type of sacred moment and is referenced at least ten times throughout the film (he goes to stroke his mustache, he complains about chopping it off, Dreyfuss complains about it, etc.). But for heaven's sake, he's only been in one film so far--we've only seen the mustache once--so a better thing to do would have been this: make a few more sequels and, when the last entry comes, have him shave it off. By then the audience realizes that his mustache is part of him, and that losing it is like losing part of his soul.

But I'm glad they didn't make any more than one sequel.

One of the things that kept the "Lethal Weapon" franchise going was the fresh ideas, fresh buddies, and fresh scripts. (Great actors never hurt an action comedy, either.) The "Stakeout" franchise--which didn't even last long enough to spawn more than one sequel--tries to copy this formula but isn't sure how. The introduction of Joe Pesci in "Lethal Weapon 2" was great because he thereby became the Third Stooge, whereas O'Donnell's entry into the series is nothing but a humiliating reminder that talk show hosts can't always act in front of a camera and maintain the same type of humor they may (or may not) exhibit on their (awful) TV "talk show." (Which is, by the way, consumed of entirely staged so-called "interviews.")

And whereas Pesci, as Leo Getz, added a type of silly vibe to the "LW" series, O'Donnell just seems like a carbon copy clone of Estevez from the first "Stakeout." Dreyfuss didn't like him at first, and--guess what--they suddenly became best buds. The same thing happens in the sequel, much to the audience's chagrin.

Of course, "Lethal Weapon" and its sequels were never more than a few years apart (the first coming out in 1989, two years after the original). But "Stakeout" had six years to make a respectable sequel, and it fails. It fails the same way that many prolonged sequels do. But, for once, it's not because the audience has forgotten the original film--it's because the audience is fed up with the same routine.

The film was directed by John Badham, which is surprising, since he's a talented director ("Saturday Night Fever," "The Hard Way," "Stakeout"). Here he jumps through all the hoops, turning his own series into a pale retread of the original--only watered down: minus the violence, language, nudity, and humor. I'm not saying a movie has to be R to be funny. But if you've got a sequel to an R-rated movie like "Stakeout" and you decide to turn its sequel into a cutesy-tutesy children's entertainment program, you'd better advise the audience before they sit down expecting something funny and fresh.

What a disappointment.

5 out of 5 stars Bothell ROCKS!.......2003-11-24

I can't believe someone feels just like me about Richard, and the ambiance and relaxation value of "Another Stakeout". It all works from Las Vegas to the end, even the Stickley furniture. The comedic relationship between the three actors and the script is perfection!

5 out of 5 stars Great Laughs.......2003-03-02

One of my all time favorite comedies. I agree that it is much more enjoyable than the first STAKEOUT and I recommend this movie to anyone who needs a good laugh.

5 out of 5 stars Richard Dreyfuss...THE BEST!.......2003-01-06

The first reviewer obviously has a problem relaxing with a good humored, fun, well-acted movie with lines well written. It's a kick to just kick back and relax as the movie unfolds. It's the chemistry baby, of the three actors, scenery, set design, writer's workmanship and a plot thick enough to tie it all together. There's too little to relax and chuckle with these days...enjoy and relax. Cheryl, I agree, it totally beats "Stakeout".

I belive these maybe the episodes on this volume.

A-Bridged

Commander Cruger holds a meeting with Squad B. Commander Cruger tells them that Squad A is now considered Missing In Action. Squad B volunteers to search for the Squad A Rangers, but Commander Cruger tells them that they are needed here. Commander Cruger wants them to find a bank robber. Sydney is surprised that there is no description of the bank robber or picture. Syd starts asking questions about the bank robber and makes it into a rhyme. Bridge tells her that it reminds him of his bath book. Commander Cruger calls Bridge forward and asks him if he really has a bath book. Bridge replies that he does and asks Commander Cruger if he has one. The alarms go off and the Rangers morph and go into action. The Rangers battle a monster. During the battle, Bridge is demorph. As the monster runs away, Bridge uses his ability to detect the monster's aura. .The Rangers return to headquarters, but now they have information on the monster. Unable to pronounce his origin, the Rangers name the monster T-Top. Bridge doesn't believe that T-Top is the monster responsible for the bank robberies, but the other Rangers are not convinced. The Rangers are sent to another bank robbery and they try to investigate for clues. A woman, Diane, asks them if they need a witness. Diane gives them a description of T-Top and claims that was the monster who robbed the bank. During the conversation, Bridge is busy using his magnifying glass on Diane and her dog. Embarrassed, Jack pulls Jack to his feet and tells him it's not nice to sniff the dog without permission. The Rangers return to headquarters where Jack tells Commander Cruger about the witness Diane. During the meeting, Bridge is reading a book. The others call Bridge's attention back to the meeting. Bridge tells them how the book he is reading has all this great art work on the cover, but the book is not good. Jack tells him that would be great if they were talking about the book, but they are not. Bridge tries to point out that what's on the outside is not always what's on the inside, but the others don't listen. Bridge asks Commander Cruger if he can continue his own investigation. Commander Cruger tells him he can and tries to recruit one of the Rangers to help Bridge, but none of them want to. Bridge volunteers himself and leaves. An alarms goes off, and the rest of the Rangers morph and battle T-Top once again.

The Rangers have a difficult time with T-Top. T-Top blows apart a building to distract the Rangers and then gets away. Meanwhile, Bridge continues his investigation in his unique way. At times, Bridge uses Boom's help in his investigation. The investigation leads Bridge to Diane's house where he sniffs the flowers until Diane appears. Bridge questions Diane about the various flowers. Diane decides to take her dog for a walk and Bridge joins her. Bridge tells her about balloon animals and tries to blow up a balloon. Bridge pretends that he is out of shape and asks Diane to blow up the balloon instead. Diane reluctantly does and hands the balloon back to Bridge. Bridge makes a balloon animal, but Diane is not impressed. Bridge returns to SPD headquarters and analyzes the air in the balloon. Kat walks in and Bridges asks Kat if she knows that humans breath in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide while plants do the opposite. Kat replies yes - second grade science. Jack is at the command center talking with the other Rangers - he does not have much faith in Bridge. Bridge walks in and tries to defend himself and the fact that T-Top is innocent. An alarm goes off and all the Rangers morphed and leave to battle no other than T-Top. The Rangers used their zord in the battle against T-Top. The Rangers have T-Top bound, but when they use the judgment scanner it reveals that T-Top is innocent. T-Top shrinks and the Rangers leave their zord. T-Top explains that he is a Tri-Ridonian Bounty Hunter after the a Fernovian thief. Diane appears on the scene and declares that T-Top is the alien she saw robbing the bank. Bridge walks over to a car, picks it up, and hurls it towards Diane. The other Rangers are stunned, but Diane reveals herself to be the Fernovian when she reverts to her natural form and slices the car in two. Bridge and the Fernovian battle with Bridge eventually arresting the Fernovian. After the arrest, Bridge and the rest of the Rangers demorph. Jack and the rest of the Rangers want to know how Bridge knew who the real thief was. Bridge starts explaining his investigation, walking as he talks. Bridge turns around and notices the rest of the Rangers have all left. At headquarters, Commander Cruger shows a hologram of Broodwing to Sky, Syd, and Z and explains to them who he is. Sky tells Commander Cruger it would be awful if Broodwing hooked up with Emperor Gruumm. Commander Cruger has a feeling that Broodwing already has. Jack finds Bridge standing on his head and joins him. Jack apologizes to Bridge and tells him he may not understand the way he thinks, but he has his respect.

Sam, Part I

A young boy, Sam, tries to join a group of boys playing basketball. Sam is rejected by the group and instead of giving them their ball back, he uses his teleportation ability to have the ball appear elsewhere. As the group wonders how Sam did that, Sam tells them that they should have let me play. Sam walks away and hears a voice coming from a doll. Mora is using her doll, Cindy Sunshine, to talk to Sam. Sam is unsure at first, but Cindy Sunshine's sympathy over Sam's plight wins him over. At headquarters, the Rangers are relaxing. Bridge is standing on his head and has a thought that he shares with the group. Bridge thinks it's no conscience that they each have special abilities and happen to be Power Rangers. Syd, Z, and Jack all considered the possibility of what Bridge is saying, while Sky dismisses it as simply being Bridge. Z defends Bridge and Sky calls Z a freak. The alarm goes off and Kat sends the Rangers to stop a giant robot. The Rangers morphed and entered their Delta Runners. They tried to take down a giant robot with a monster, Bugglesworth, inside. The Rangers have a difficult time with the robot. Bugglesworth manages to make a building disappear. Within her zord, Z spots Sam and realizes that it is Sam who has made the building disappear. Bugglesworth decides he has had enough and with Sam's help, they disappear. Z leaps out of her delta runner and goes after Sam. The rest of the Rangers return to headquarters where they tell Commander Cruger what has happen. Commander Cruger has a hard time believing a building just disappeared and questions where Z is. Sky tells Commander Cruger that Z went after a small boy that she believed made the building disappear. Meanwhile, Z searches Newtech city for Sam and finds him surrounded by the earlier basketball group of boys. Sam is on the ground as the boys circle him and threaten him is he does not demonstrate his power again. Z walks up behind the boys and with a couple of words, Z has the boys running away. Z tries to befriend Sam and offers to treat his wound on his knee. Sam reluctantly lets Z treat his knee. Z is unaware that a couple of Krybots are literally right above her.

Sam sees the Krybots and stops them using his teleportation ability. Z notices Sam's face and looks above - surprised to see Krybots suspended in mid-air. Bugglesworth calls out to Sam and by the time Z turns around Sam is gone. Z answers her communicator - it's the rest of the Rangers - they found the building. The Rangers walk to the beach, where the building has been found. They are all awestruck at the sight of the building at the beach, except Bridge who is hungry. The Rangers enter the building and find no one inside. Z and Jack pick up a couple of dolls and Z asks Bridge if he can get a reading. Bridge holds the dolls and the reading he receives is that Bugglesworth has been changing people to dolls. The Rangers returns to headquarters and enter the command center. Z and Sky are arguing as they still down. Commander Cruger tells them to stop and asks them what do they know. The Rangers list what they know, a building disappears and reappears and people are being turned into dolls. Sky had taken one to Kat for to analyze. Z tells them of Sam - who controlled the robot, but Sky does not believe it. Z tells them of what happen with her and the Krybots and tells them that Sam has powers. Sky tells the group that they have powers, but use them for good. Z replies that maybe Sam doesn't know the difference yet. The alarms sounds and Kat tells them that the robot is back in the city. The Rangers morph and form the megazord immediately. The Rangers begin to battle the robot. The Rangers try to handcuff the robot, but Sam handcuffs the megazord instead. Z spots Sam and leaves the zord and demorphs. Sky manages to get rid of the handcuffs on the zord. Z chases after Sam, calling out to him to stop. Sam manages to lose Z. Sam sits on a wall with Cindy Sunshine. Cindy Sunshine asks Sam why he had left and Sam tells her that he got scared. Cindy Sunshine tells Sam that the Power Rangers are bad people and she can understand why Sam got scared. A laser goes off and Cindy Sunshine is knocked off the wall. Z had fired at the laser. Z tells Sam that she never like dolls. Z approaches Sam slowly and tells him that she understands how he feels. Z demonstrates her cloning ability to Sam and Sam finally shakes her hand and tells her his name. Z also tells Sam that she understands how Sam feels about having no friends and doing anything to have one. The rest of the Rangers appear and Sam becomes angry - telling Z that she does have friends. The Rangers return to headquarters and Bridge tries to get a reading from Cindy Sunshine. Bridge gets a reading that Sam is at a junkyard and Cindy Sunshine disappears from his hands. Z asks Commander Cruger if she can look for Sam and Commander Cruger tells her she can, but to take Jack. Z and Jack leave. Kat and Boom enter the command center with the two dolls found in the building. Kat tells Commander Cruger it's urgent that the dolls are changed back to humans while Boom plays with the dolls. Z and Jack arrive at the junk yard and they found Sam. Sam doesn't want anything to do with Z and Z has Jack demonstrated his special ability. Sam is not impressed and tells them that they have each other. Z tells Sam that they found each other and now they have found him. Bugglesworth appears with Cindy Sunshine and Cindy Sunshine tells Sam that to remember he is listening to the girl that scorched her. Sam walks over to Bugglesworth and Cindy Sunshine. Bugglesworth releases another monster - Orangehead. Z and Jack have difficulty battling Orangehead and eventually have to morph. Sam watches stunned. Z manages to break free of Orangehead and races toward Sam. Z pleads with Sam to come with her, but Bugglesworth tells her not to worry, that they will take care of Sam. Jack is battling Orangehead and gets thrown. Z sees that Jack is in trouble and goes to his aid. Z and Jack continue to battle Orangehead and end up on the ground. Z tells Jack that they have to help Sam. Sam hears this and steps out from behind Bugglesworth.

Sam, Part II

Z and Jack continue to battle Orangehead. The rest of the Rangers appear to help them. The Rangers continue to have a difficult time with Orangehead. Bugglesworth leaves with Sam, but before Sam goes, he teleports Z, Jack, and Orangehead to the beach. Z and Jack continue to battle Orangehead and eventually have to retreat back to headquarters. Meanwhile Sam is on Emperor Gruumm's ship with Mora. Mora is already bored with the dolls she has and tells Sam that she wants a SPD doll. Sam is reluctant, but Mora promises to be his friend if he helps her. In the command center, Z is frustrated that they have no been able to help Sam. The rest of her friends ask her why she is taking it so personal and Z tells them of a painful memory when she was twelve. Z tells them of the difficult time she had and had her classmates called her various names like freaks. Eventually Z couldn't take it anymore and she replicated herself and made a run for it. Once outside, young Z ran into a strange creature who tore her necklace from her. A cloaked stranger helped her and retrieve her necklace, but young Z was too scared to ask for the necklace. Z reveals that she never found out who the cloaked stranger is. Commander Cruger walks in and reveals that he was the cloaked stranger. The Rangers are stunned and Commander Cruger tells them more of their shared heritage. Commander Cruger tells the Rangers that their parents worked at SPD and were responsible for the creation of the SPD morphers. Jack protested claiming his parents were missionaries and Syd tells Commander Cruger that her mom is a teacher. Commander Cruger continues telling them that their parents did work at SPD along with Kat and their prolonged exposure to their work caused them their unique abilities. Commander Cruger tells them that Sam's parents had worked at SPD as well. Kat walks in with urgent news that the humans may become permanent dolls if something isn't done quickly.

The Rangers go searching for Sam. Z is searching an alleyway when Sam appears. Z embraces Sam, but Sam is still suspicious of Z. Z realizes that she has been tricked when Cindy Sunshine and Bugglesworth appears. Z tells Sam that if he is friends with the Troobians, she won't stop him. Sam realizes that Z really does want to be his friend and they embrace again. Sam hides as Z fights Bugglesworth. Z has a difficult time and Sam tries to help her. Z urges Sam to run and he does. Z is turned into a doll. Sam continues running and runs into...Z. Z explains that she replicate herself before she was changed into a doll. Z playfully reminds Sam that he is not the only one with powers. Sam decides that he wants to use his powers for good and tells Z that by destroying Bugglesworth, the dolls will revert back to humans. Z and Sam are found by Orangehead, Bugglesworth, and several Krybots and they run. Commander Cruger sees this on the viewing screen and sends the rest of the Rangers to help Z. Z and Sam are captured. Sam manages to break free and Z tells him to run. Instead of running, Sam takes Bugglesworth's staff and smashes it so that Bugglesworth can no longer turn people into dolls. Sam takes off and Z battles Orangehead. Z replicates herself and continues the battle. The rest of the Rangers appear. Jack asks two of Z's clones if Z needs help, before finally asking Z. Z replies yes and the Rangers morph and continue the battle. A Bluehead appears and Jack takes on the Bluehead and eventually destroys him. Jack joins the rest of the Rangers as they battle Orangehead. The Rangers call on RIC and use the Canine Cannon Mode to destroy Orangehead. Kat informs the Rangers that Bugglesworth is back in his giant robot and she sends them their zords. The Rangers battle the giant robot and find Bugglesworth guilty. The robot is destroy and Bugglesworth is back on the ground with the Rangers. The Rangers capture and contain Bugglesworth. With Bugglesworth captured, the two dolls at SPD headquarters revert back to humans. Kat notices this and points it out to Boom. Boom sees the two humans hug and wants a hug from Kat, but Kat stops him. All the dolls on Emperor Gruumm's ship disappear, causing Mora to become furious. The Rangers bring Sam to headquarters where Sam is now a cadet. Sam is surrounded by his new friends and loves the bike they have given him. Sam tells them he wants to be a Power Ranger like them.

Idol

The Rangers are restless and Jack starts talking. Bridge notices something on the screen and tries to get Jack's attention. Bridge is joined by Syd and then Sky - Jack is still talking - and they hollered at him to come take a look. Jack and Z join the group and see a UFO arriving in Newtech City. The Rangers morphed and entered their delta runners. The Rangers form their zord and entered the city to find that the UFO has crashed. They put out the fire and leave the zord. A lone figure emerges from the UFO and he removes his helmet. Sky recognizes his old friend Dru Harrington and enthusiastically greets him. Sky takes Dru back to SPD with the rest of the Rangers. Dru tells them what has happen to him - he was following a monster - and only Jack is not quite trusting of Sky's friend. Later, Sky, Jack, and Dru get together for target practice. Jack does well but Dru does exceptional. After target practice, Jack is sitting alone when a shadow startles him. Jack is surprised to see Dru and questions him. Dru tells him he is looking for Commander Cruger and Jack finds it odd that Dru would look for Cruger at 4 in the morning. Sky walks in, he takes Dru's side. Jack orders Sky to take Dru to his quarters and he does. Sky and Dru talk as they walk back to his quarters. Sky asks a few questions of his own but all Dru will tell him is that he is on a top secret mission.

The following morning Sky, Syd, and Z listen as Bridge tells them about his dream and asks them what it means. Jack walks up and tells Sky that he has thought about it and he wants to apologize. Sky does not want to accept his apology and tells Jack he knows nothing about friendship or the SPD and to leave him and Dru alone. Kat notifies that Rangers that there is a security breach and there is a monster in the engine room. The Rangers morph and take on the monster, but it proves difficult and the monster is soon gone. Jack thinks he knows where the monster has gone and leaves. Demorph, Sky walks silently towards Dru's room. Jack leaves Dru's room and tells him that Dru is not there. Jack tells Sky not to let friendship blind him to his friend. An announcement is made that Commander Cruger is arriving and the Rangers await his arrival. Commander Cruger walks with the Rangers and he already knows of the breach in security. Sky takes full responsibly. Commander Cruger is fired at and lands on the floor, barely breathing. Sky spots the monster and goes after him. The monster reveals himself to be Dru - the monster form being his true form. Sky is confused and asks him why. Dru tells Sky of working with Broodwing and of power and money. Dru starts to leave and Sky tells him he has to take him in. Dru fires at Sky and Sky flies through the air and lands on the ground. Dru tells Sky that next time only one of them will be standing before walking away. The Rangers are gathered around Commander Cruger. Kat tells them that Cruger is tough old dog to which Commander Cruger responses who are you calling old dog. The Rangers are relieved that Commander Cruger is okay. The alarm goes off and it's Dru again. Bridge, Syd, and Z leave. Sky asks Jack if he can take Dru on his own and Jack tells him it's against regulations, but that he can give Sky a ten minute head start, which Sky takes. Sky encounters Dru in a projector room and they face off each other. Dru reverts to his true form while Sky morphs into the Blue Ranger. Sky takes down Dru - much to Dru's surprise. Dru grows larger as the rest of the Rangers enter. The Rangers use their zords to battle Dru and eventually defeat him. Dru goes back to human form and Sky arrests him. The following day Jack finds Sky scrubbing the cement entrance to SPD with a toothbrush. Commander Cruger's latest punishment for Sky. Jack offers to help Sky and does so. Sky starts laughing and Jack wants to know what is so funny. Sky tells Jack that he has been using Jack's toothbrush.

Stakeout

Jack and Sky are playing a game that involves a image of the Blue Senturion battling a monster. Z and Bridge watched from behind the guys. Sydney walks in dressed for a party. Z, Jack, Sky, and Bridge give Syd a hard time until they find out the following day is Syd's birthday. Syd tells them how her parents like to take her out to an expensive restaurant on the eve of her birthday. The others want to know where their invitation are and Syd tells them that she knew they had to work. The Rangers are called into a meeting at the command center with Commander Cruger and Kat. A hologram of Sinuka is displayed. Commander Cruger tells the Rangers that Sinuka has escape from a satellite prison on KO-35. Commander Cruger and Kat fear that Sinuka may go after his former associate Dr. Rheas. Commander Cruger wants to set up an stakeout and assigns Jack the task. Commander Cruger asks Jack to select who he would like to come with him and Jack picks Syd. Syd does not want to miss her evening out, but Jack insists that Syd has the most surveillance experience. Syd's temperament does not improve when she is moves into the shabby apartment with Jack. Jack quickly spots Dr. Rheas in the next building and is quite taken with her beauty. Syd is not that impressed and reflects that Jack didn't think a woman could be both beautiful and intelligent. Meanwhile, Bridge, Z, and Sky are watching an entrance to a cave on a beach. Soon Sinuka appears and enters the cave. After some time, Sinuka leaves the cave with a metal briefcase. Z, Sky, and Bridge try to arrest him, but Sinuka releases several Krybots. Sky, Bridge, and Z morphed and battle the Krybots while Sinuka makes his getaway.

Syd and Jack continue their surveillance. Dr. Rheas leaves her apartment and Syd is happy, thinking that they can now leave. Jack tells her they have to stay until Commander Cruger tells them otherwise. Jack answers the door and it's a delivery for pizza. Syd is surprised and happy - thinking the pizza is for her birthday. Jack tells her the pizza is for him, that he would have ordered a larger pizza had he know she wanted some. Syd pretends to have not really wanted the pizza. It's a different matter for Piggy who climbs through the window after following the delivery truck for three blocks. Syd is not happy to see Piggy. Piggy asks Jack what is the matter and Jack tells Piggy that Syd is upset because he made her work on her birthday. Even Piggy thinks that's a bit cold and Jack feels a twinge of guilt. Jack leaves, telling Syd and Piggy he is going for a walk. Jack goes for a walk in the park and spots a birthday party for a young girl. This reminds Jack of Syd. Jack then notices Dr. Rheas walking and a thief taking her bag. Dr. Rheas runs after the thief and Jack tells her he's got it. Jack catches up to the thief and as he fights him, the thief's mask comes off and it's a Krybot. Jack makes quick work of the Krybot. Jack goes to a park bench where Dr. Rheas is sitting and gives her her bag. Dr. Rheas is very happy and Jack suggests he walks her home to be on the safe side. Dr. Rheas agrees. Jack walks Dr. Rheas to outside her building. Jack tells Dr. Rheas that he has to go - a friend is having a birthday. Dr. Rheas tells Jack to wish his friend a happy birthday and tells him that she still gets excited over birthdays. Jack asks her why and Dr. Rheas tells him it's the one day everyone makes you feel special. Dr. Rheas thanks Jack again and they hug. Piggy is watching from the opposite building and makes a comment. Syd comes over and is furious when she sees Jack and Dr. Rheas hugging. Jack returns to the apartment and Syd starts to argue with him. Piggy tries to help, but Syd and Jack tell him to stay out of it. Jack tells Syd that they had been talking about birthdays. This surprises Syd and she asks him why. Jack reveals that he has never had a birthday - he doesn't even know when it is. Syd feels bad about making such a big deal about her birthday. They apologize to each other and are friends again. Then their morphers go off. Syd and Jack morphed and join the rest of the Rangers in the middle of the city. Sinuka is inside a giant robot. Kat sends the Rangers their delta runners and they form the megazord. The Rangers have a difficult time with Sinuka, especially when he replicates the giant robot. The Rangers keep going from the wrong robot and much to their frustration, Sinuka has gotten away again. Dr. Rheas prepares to leave her apartment and is very frighten to see Sinuka on the other side of the door. Jack returns to the apartment and is not happy that the pizza is all gone. Piggy claims that there were a lot of mice. Jack looks out the window and realizes that Dr. Rheas is missing. Jack asks Piggy if he had seen anything and Piggy will only talk for a price. Sinuka forces Dr. Rheas to take him where the activator is. Dr. Rheas tells him that she should have destroyed it and that he had the intelligence to do much good for the world. Sinuka tells Dr. Rheas that was her plans, not his. Sinuka has the activator when Jack shows up. Dr. Rheas watches stunned as Jack morphs into the Red Ranger. Jack battles Sinuka, but has a difficult time. Dr. Rheas tries to help but Sinuka pushes her away. Jack makes sure that Dr. Rheas is okay and then tells her to hid. Dr. Rheas does and continues to watch the battle. The rest of the Rangers appeared and they call for their delta runners and form the megazord. Sinuka is in his giant robot and replicates himself again. This time the Rangers are ready for him and destroy his robot. Sinuka ejects and the Rangers do the same. The Rangers used the Canine Cannon mode to arrest and contain Sinuka. The following day Syd is walking in the park and is very surprise and happy when her friends spring out and wish her a happy birthday. All the Rangers, along with Kat, Commander Cruger, Dr. Rheas, Piggy and several aliens are there. Syd and Jack share a cupcake until Piggy takes both halves.

Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars All about the taser!.......2006-10-26

Nothing like the cheap thrill of watching someone get tasered, repeatedly. Other than a few other scenes where people get shot out of camera view, you should pick up something else.

Conan O'Brien's - The Best of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, DVD is a good example of better low cost entertainment.

3 out of 5 stars Its ok........2004-09-05

I saw almost all of these episodes on TV. You dont even see the shots being fired you hear them. They count tazing someone as shots fired. It is not graphic at all. The only good part to this DVD is the bonus section. Its about 10 to 15 minutes long and its how the entire DVD should have been done. I am training to be a police officer so I like this DVD just because of some training value it can give. If you watch COPS a lot you won't really like this DVD.

1 out of 5 stars Ehhh............2004-09-02

I got less then my 10 dollar perches at Target, Cops Shots fires is suppose to give an uncensored look at few episodes of COPS where shots where fired. The summary on the back of the DVD case say that "Shots Fired is Gritty, Graphic, Raw and, Real"

About the only thing it is Real, its not raw, it's not gritty, you don't eve see the shooting happens, the camera is always pointed in the wrong direction or someone is in the way. All you do see is the aftermath.

4 out of 5 stars "Suspect is down. I repeat, suspect is down...".......2004-07-04

This is the DVD to own for any fans of the show, COPS. It's packed with tension, danger, and violent confrontations. "COPS: Shots Fired" contains some of the most dangerous confrontations to be captured on camera. While it is actually really only a small taste of what the show has to offer, it still makes a nice DVD for any fan of the show. Witness the police as they get called over to maintain and control dangerous and outrageous situations. From people with knives to people with actual guns. From drunken and violent perpetrators to deeply disturbed souls who feel there is no hope for them. These men and women dressed in the uniform must make life changing decisions, and they have to make them fast if they don't want to danger the lives of innocent bystanders, or their very own lives. It is a wild ride, and a ride that you will have a hard time forgetting.

This is not for anyone who is extremely sensitive or who easily gets grossed out, as there is a lot of graphic content on this DVD. You get to see exactly what a bullet wound looks like... and it's 100% real. Some of this stuff you wouldn't be able to see on TV it's so intense. I have always been a fan of the show, so I knew what I would have to expect. However, that did not mean I had an easy time watching some of the things that take place on this DVD.

A real downside is that this is really a short DVD. Its running time is about 50 minutes, which isn't very long at all. Considering how long the show has been around, I think they could've put together more material. I wouldn't had mind paying a little extra for more content, and I'm sure a lot of other fans wouldn't as well. There is a bonus footage section that gives you an uncensored montage that could never be aired on TV without it being watered down. That's a little over 15 minutes, which is a nice extra. If the actual program freaks you out too much, watching this section will help you relax some as most of the material is pretty humorous.

"COPS: Shots Fired" is a nice package for those who are devoted fans of the show and crave for something a little more intense. It's not a perfect or spectacular package, but it is a nice one. Again, this is not recommended for younger audiences or for those with weak stomachs. I hope to see more COPS DVDs in the future, as I really do love the show. And maybe they'll put together a great DVD with hours upon hours of timeless material. Until then, we have this, and that's a nice start. -Michael Crane

4 out of 5 stars Great DVD!.......2004-06-26

COPS has finally made it to your DVD player! This DVD shows cops on duty making life-or-death choices on the spot! The featured taser guns are super. It saves the life of the criminal and possibly the police officer. Great choice for all you "COPS" fans!

4 out of 5 stars Kid Detectives and Cartoon Villans.......2000-02-03

A light-hearted, G-rated, fun kid's movie. Pre-teen detectives go head-to-head against two cartoon villans and hilarity ensues. My 13-year-old thoroughly enjoyed it. Noah Forrest was especially menacing as the chief bad guy. It was nice to watch a movie with my daughter and have both of us enjoy it.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars One of Best TV Movies Ever.......2007-03-13

This English made for TV movie is tense and absorbing. It concerns the
effect on a long time friendship between two women (Ellen Burstyn and
Teri Garr) when Scotland yard asks Burstyn to use her house to spy on
Garr, a suspected Russian spy (along with her husband) during the cold war. The film is extermely intelligently scripted and builds to a climax
that is at once disturbing and tension ridden as well as painful. It
can be watched repeatedly and never seems to lose its bite.

5 out of 5 stars Packed with Emotion.......2004-01-29

An amazingly powerful drama based on the Hugh Whitmore play, in turn based on the true story of the Soviet spies, Peter and Helen Kroger. This is a low-budget, low-key movie that builds an emotional intensity that is almost unbearable. The cast is superb, without exception, and Anthony Page's direction is unerring.

A neglected masterpiece that all drama lovers should see.
