Boy meets girl, boy falls in love. Girl loses dog, boy finds dog, decides to be a hero. But wait--the girl has an oily Euro ex-boyfriend, and the dog swallows the boy's best friend's wedding ring and can't be returned to the girl until the ring is, uh, found. Fans of There's Something About Mary should like this light-as-a-feather comedy, since it heists plot devices directly from that film. Think about it: there's two guys competing for the same girl, a scruffy-but-lovable terrier, and even a clutch of oversexed old ladies. David Spade, Saturday Night Live alum, is marginally less grating and more likable in this slight romantic comedy. Unfortunately this film is also littered with some pretty bad gags (beware of Spade's lengthy Neil Diamond impersonation), poo-poo jokes, and a character who's a direct stand-in for the late Chris Farley. Sophie Marceau, gorgeous as she is, apparently speaks her lines in phonetic English for all the feeling she puts into them. Still, this is suitable for stashing your brain under the couch for an evening. --Jerry Renshaw

4 out of 5 stars lost and found.......2006-02-25

this is for those of you who enjoy the spade farley days but ran out of movies of the duo. it is pretty good especially with leading lady sophie marceau of "braveheart" fame. it is a prety good date movie if you want some laughs and romance to go along. that is why i give it 4 stars.

5 out of 5 stars LOVED EVERY MINUTE.......2005-07-06

I COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW GOOD THE WRITING WAS IN THIS MOVIE I MEAN SO MANY PLOT TWISTS IN THIS BUT THATS WHAT MADE IT SO GREAT. AND THEN YOU HAVE ALL-STAR CAST OF DAVID SPADE, ARTIE LANG, AND SOME FOREIGN CHICK. IF YOU LIKE HOWERD STERN YOU WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE.

1 out of 5 stars Only for David Spade's Biggest Fans.......2003-12-06

David Spade plays the typical David Spade character here: a smarmy, semi-witty wise guy who is deeply self-involved and frequently unscrupulous. Sophie Marceau plays a cellist with a little dog. Guess who takes her dog so that he can "find" it and earn her gratitude? Guess whether anything will go wrong with the old-hat plan? Guess who eventually gets on Mlle Marceau's good side? So much for the "plot." As a comedy, this is pretty tired stuff. Sadly, to prep the ever-adorable Sophie Marceau for her part as a cello virtuoso, the director seems to have had her coached in bowing and fingering for about five minutes. ... Of course, we usually don't go to comedies or heroic adventure films for the realistic musicianship of the actors--but the sloppiness of this element in THIS film is just one more insult to the audience. After all, duh, the e-a Marceau is supposedly playing a professional cellist.

3 out of 5 stars Not as bad as it looks.......2003-05-31

I was unsure about this movie. It looked pretty stupid. After a while I started to like it. It was funny (some parts were disgusting). Spade is charming, as charming as he can be. It mixes humor with a loving feeling, much like other Spade movies (Joe Dirt). The best part was that Norm McDonald was nowhere to be seen.

2 out of 5 stars Semi--Funny, unrealistic, and stupidly predictible........2003-01-09

David Spade was funny in Tommy Boy and even funnier in Black Sheep, but without Chris Farley at his site he fails in this. The movie is about a loser who falls inlove with his new neighbor and kidnaps her dog to get her attention. The sick and unrealistic thing is that they actually get closer from this, you can see jokes coming from a mile away in this lame unrealastic plotHow can any say this is a romantic comedy? Whats romantic about stealing a womens puppy? And another thing, why don't the two actors playing the french people speak french in the scenes where they are alone? I never saw the end of this but I already knew what was gonna hap... he gets the girl. David Spade and Artie Lange have some real funny parts, but they can't save this miserably script (which Spade co-wrote) This just missed getting pne star because its so terrible its almost funny, but almost is the key word.

The broadcast series Loveless (2005) has provoked arguments among fans over whether it should be considered a shounen-ai (boy-love) program. Ritsuka is an alienated sixth grader: his older brother Seimei died under mysterious circumstances; his mother is prone to irrational, violent rages. Two years ago, Ritsuka underwent a change he doesn't understand that's left him unsure of his own existence. Soubi, a mysterious college student, appears and announces he loves Ritsuka and will do anything for him--and that he knows how and why Seimei was killed. With Soubi as his protector, Ritsuka enters a supernatural battle against the forces of the sinister Septimal Moon. Loveless is an odd program that plays like a skewed mixture of X and Gravitation. Ritsuka and Soubi look like standard bishonen (beautiful boys)--except Ritsuka sports a cat's ears and tail; all the children in the series do. The handsome backgrounds suggest watercolors and woodblock prints, but the story taking place in front of them makes little sense. Although it's not a typical yaoi romance, Loveless does contain gay themes that may offend some viewers. (Rated 16 and older: violence, tobacco use, suggested homosexuality) --Charles Solomon

Description

3 out of 5 stars Anime great, the package not so much........2007-03-22

The anime has a lovely style. It's beautiful in the terms of 3D animation and design.
But, unfortunately, for those who do not know the *****, it may not be very fulfilling, since it serves more as an introduction. Also, some might be a little bored, since the anime goes exactly like the *****, even having so of the same shots in it. Personally, it does not bother me, but i know it might be annoying to some people.
Yet, i think if You liked the *****, the anime is also worth it, even if there is no booklet, no additional stuff, only the DVD and the box. The design is well worth it.

5 out of 5 stars Great series... Not for everyone.......2007-03-18

Loveless is a great buy for its awesome battle sequences, its original and unique battle style, and its pretty animation. It also touts a great buy for psychology-anime fans (i.e. Neon Genesis Evangelion). On the other hand, there are very strong inferences of a non-platonic relationship between the main characters that would be considered statutory rape in the US. Also, there is a lot of angst on the part of Aoyagi Ritsuka, and it is implied that he was previoulsy abused by his parents, and possibly his older brother, Seimei. Great series, but definitely not for everyone.

2 out of 5 stars WARNING: this anime promotes PEDOFILIA. Should be banned from stores.........2007-03-05

Now before the female yaoi fans and homsexual males click the "No" button relentlessly, insisting this review was "...no help"....

...Listen up.

The reason i bought this anime is becouse i read a couple pages of the manga, and liked the art style and the story just seemed interesting. The cat ears and spell battles was just different to me. Though its NOTHING new to anime itself...i , on the other hand, never read or saw anything involving cat people or neko. I mean, ive allways known about those type of characters...i just never got into anything about people with ears lol.

Anyway... i might of been confused, but the story discription said nothing about some adult man "loving" a child boy in the 6th grade.
This is disgusting. And what is really sick about the anime, is that it trys to make this man, Soubi, into some good guy, a servent of the young Ritsuka. When in reality ( which the anime nearly blantly conveys..) that Soubi, a grown man, sexual desires a little boy just coming out of elementary school.

I liked the soundtrack to this anime... thats a plus and i related to how Ritsuka felt at time, the thing that kept me watching was his feelings tword the people he called " USERS "...fake people who called themselves "friends" and just used one another.
Also, i was interested when he didnt like how people tossed the word "love" around, like it was nothing. It mirrors popular society..where people are complete phonies and easily use words like love, when what they really are feeling is "LUST"

The character, Ritsuka, is one of the best minded characters ive been introduced to out of all the "mature-for-their-aga" characters in anime.
I was suprised to hear his thoughts, and i got interested and involved in his character.

SADLY, this anime trys to promote the so called "Man-Boy-Love" movement, which is just CRIMINAL, to say the very least.

Regardless if this is someones depiction through art, doesnt mean its right. We can try to act as if there really arent any morals, but in the end, there is a right and a wrong. And this anime and its makers are WRONG for producing this. We all know that some grown man sexually enticing a little boy is the one of the worst crimes, sins, depravities...whatever you call it. Its dispicable. And if you think this behavior is fine, then you are deeply sick and your heart is black.

Where will all this stop, wheres the line crossed? Whats to keep people from making films promoting the sexual relationship between an adult and a little kid.

Now lets say you self proclaim to have to morals, you are your own "god" as it were, so you think. Lets just say. You dont "prescribe" to this "countries morals and its posioness religion" and as a matter of fact, lets just say you deem all religion to be "poison".

Regardless of your personal position on this stuff, its still wrong, and its still CRIMINAL.

But its not real , you say, its just a fantasy cartoon. So you are telling me, its right, and okay, maybe depict kids having sex with adults? Or even depicting a hint at a possiable sexual attraction from the man, to the boy. You know its wrong. And if you dont care or promote anime like this, you dont dare come out in public with it, becouse you know its disgusting and a crime.

LOVELESS is "rated" 16 and up...i only have the first volume, and i doubt theres any sexual intercourse in the series. But even if there isnt, it still hints at the perverse behavior.

When Soubi ansers Ritsuka's question about "why should he train his tounge" (concerning spell battles apparently)...Soubi grins and says something about how theres biting, and one has to bite back.
Ritsuka, who is seemingly so mature for his age, never seems to have an exact clue as to what this man is implying, so hes allways like "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!!!?"

...Soubi replys with ' You might like it' while having a dirty looking smile on his face.

This isnt even the half of the rediculous pedofilia placement in this sad anime series. We even see this grown man kissing the little boy just out of elementary school. Yes, not a kiss on the forehead like close friend, or even peck on the check....but long "impassioned" lip-locked kisses.

This is some of animes worst on display, using perposterious situations to toss in perverted material, and this is the lowest of the low.

This series might not have the man Soubi come out and flat out say " Oh little boy, i wanna have sex with you", but if anyone has an ounce of intelligence, which im sure some of you should have, assuming your the kind who prolly prides your self on how great your intellect is and how us "morally conscious roobs" are so poisoned and inferior. Its clear he's sexually attracted and lusting after this little kid. Mind you, for those of you who still dont get it...Soubi is a grown MAN....Ritsuka is a little child BOY, whose just out of elementary school, in the 6th grade.

Soubi also has a "boyfriend" from "college" who throws a fit after finding pictures of Ritsuka in the mans belongings. The "boyfriend" goes on to say he can torture soubi till he cant walk , if he has to. Obviously implying that he must not be sexually satisfying Soubi enuff, and that he'll engage in extremely rough sex with him, if he has to... cuz this "boyfriend" isnt cant let some little kid steal "his man".

And what is most laughable about this series, and the creators behind it, is this idea of Ritsuka's brother being dead, being killed, as you know from the get go....the perposteriousness comes into play when this Soubi was apparently sent by Ritsuka's late big brother, with the command to serve and 'love' his little brother.

So Ratsuka's dead big brothers dying wish was for some man to come and sexually intice and cop-a-feel? This is pathetic, criminal, and the biggest waste of talent ive seen in anime.

Ritsuka , alone, could of saved this anime series, both legally, morally, and critically....but this anime self destroys itself becouse it trys to openly "sneak" in HOMOSEXUAL PEDOFILA innuendo and "man boy love" behavior.

This shouldnt be for teenagers...it shouldnt even be for adults...its apalling.

If people want to make an adult characters engage in sexual relations, whether its intimate or non-intimate (like Loveless....sexual, but no intercourse) Thats their decision, but when it starts involving children, then youve crossed line. Yes, you have. Youve crossed the line. Youre wrong. And you know it.

What is so wrong with Loveless is that it involves a man who hints at sexual lust for a boy....randomly commenting on the boys body, for instance. Just disgusting and sad, who even takes liberties in kissing him many times for absurd reasons, including this reason called 'love' he keeps uttering.

Ya, the title is correct allright...LOVELESS....the creators and fans of this series just tryed to fullfil a sick lust, and call it "love"
Its quite ironic...the creators are the real "USERS" afer all.

DISGUSTING AND CRIMINAL.

Please dont promote this type of anime.

Thank you.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars You Should Find It Too.......2006-10-09

What Alice Found is Spartan, it breaks the craft of filmmaking down into its most basic elements and executes well on every one. There are no flaming helicopters to be found here, or big name stars, nowhere to hide. Instead of distractions you find a well-conceived script, excellent acting, and subtle moral choices that never invite cheap, easy answers.

The entire cast of the picture could, and does, fit into an RV - it's a three-person ensemble piece. Digital photography gives What Alice Found a scruffy, high school project feeling that is perfectly in step with the protagonist's innocence and the cheesy ambience of truck stop hooking. In short, writer/director Dean Bell has turned drawbacks into allies.

The simple plot supports a complex character study. Alice, played admirably by newcomer Emily Grace, is running away from home to visit a friend in Florida. Brief flashbacks are used effectively to inform this decision, and help us understand her background. On the road she is befriended, unless "Shanghaied" is a better word, by a couple that roams truck stops in their mobile brothel RV. Part pimps and part surrogate parents, they quickly fold Alice into their world. Though she stays naive, we track her downward spiral by the way she looks.

The showcase performance here is by Judith Ivey, her Sandra manages to convey a broad range of emotions, and motives, without ever once seeming forced. She knows a lot, and she's quick to instruct Alice in the ways of the world, all she's discovered since she escaped Paducah, Kentucky. Through the course of the film we come to understand that neither Alice nor Sandra are completely innocent or guilty, and despite the unkind conditions, an important bond of understanding has been formed.

That is the greatest strength of What Alice Found. Had it been about an innocent waif victimized by horrid road vagabonds, it would have been two-dimensional. As it is, there's real depth. Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars a small diamond.......2006-04-21

A beautiful, poignant movie that surprised me. Small, yes, but strangely moving and satisfying after starting out slow. Surprisingly good performances all around from people who don't look like they're professional actors, most of them.

3 out of 5 stars You don't get Something for Nothing.......2006-03-05

I got this movie because Amazon recommended it based on some other movie that I watched. I am not sure what movie that was or how it tied to this one, but I guess that is besides the point. This movie is about a girl that is trying to get away from the town she grew up in like her girlfriend that left to go to college, but she doesn't have it so easy. She ended up stealing from her boss in order to have some money. Once she gets on the road in her beat up Escort, her car has problems and she runs into Sandra and Bill. Because of my usual pessimistic attitude, I was immediately suspicious of this couple. They were just tooo nice. That never bodes well with me.

Anyways, it is a pretty good film. It was very real in the sense that alot of girls may run away or somehow get on the streets and are so naive thinking that someone is going to help them just because. It is a pessimistic attitude, but more than likely if someone comes out of nowhere to help you, normally there is a large price to pay. You have to think about if what you are running away from is really worth the price you will pay for help from strangers. Alice found out.

This movie is not for children, so don't watch it with your little ones. The Sandra character was a mixed bag, she was just so doggone sweet and understanding that you just don't really know how to feel about her. Even though I did like the film, I am not sure if/when I would watch it again. I did find the movie interesting and I thought the acting was great. I also thought they did a good job of setting the characters up so that you could actually feel during the movie. Good job!

4 out of 5 stars Engaging.......2006-02-23

"What Alice Found" is one of those flicks that just grabs at you when you're skimming channels for a movie to watch. It stars newcomer Emily Grace as Alice, a young girl fed up with her dull life in New England who decides to run off to Miami, FL to find herself and possibly get a degree in Marine Biology. Along the way, she has car trouble and is "helped" by Bill and Sandra, an older couple who seem to be as sweet as all get out. The duo, especially Sandra, becomes attached to Alice and they basically help her out in any way possible. As the miles pile up on her roadtrip, however, Bill and Sandra take her down the dark road of truck stop prostitution.

Emily Grace does a great job as the gullible young Alice. Judith Ivey, who's probably the only actor in this film that you'll recognize, is wonderful as Sandra. By the end of the film, you don't know whether to hug her or hit her. She's so sugary sweet that she's almost too hard to swallow. However, she gives a great performance. Bill Raymond plays Bill, who comes across as such a nice guy in the beginning of the film but eventually turns into a dirty and dispicable old man.

The story moves along at a solid pace and has a pretty good soundtrack to boot. It's recommended to fans of indie flicks but the average movie-goer should give it a peek.

4 out of 5 stars Worthwhile small film.......2004-12-21

Judith Ivey's performance is outstanding in this well-written and nicely directed independent movie. Although this is a small-budget film, with all the drawbacks that implies, it's still very much worth seeing. The characters are engaging and complex, and you come to care deeply what will happen to them, especially Alice.

I'll look forward to seeing more from director Dean Bell, and will certainly watch for Judith Ivey in future roles. She should have won an Oscar for this performance.

Fourteen-year-old Yusuke Urameshi is a juvenile delinquent in the making: crude, rude, and interested only in fighting, especially with his rival Kuwabara. When Yusuke is killed saving a little boy from a speeding car, he's given another chance by Koenma, the son of the ruler of the Spirit World. If Yusuke properly nurtures a "spirit egg," it will hatch into a benevolent beast that will help him return to his body; but too much negative energy will produce a monster that will devour him. Botan, the pretty pilot of the River Styx, and Koenma's agent Sayaka supervise Yusuke's clumsy attempts to communicate with Kuwabara and Kayko, the girl he secretly loved. His efforts invariably lead to fist fights, and the opening of this popular series plays like a cross between Dragon Ball Z and a minor Frank Capra movie. Rated 13 Up: Minor risqué humor, cartoon violence; alcohol and tobacco use. --Charles Solomon

Description

Episode 1 - Surprised To Be Dead Fourteen-year-old Yusuke Urameshi is having a typical day. He's cutting class at school, having arguments with his teachers, and getting into fistfights with his rival Kuwabara. Hey - when you're the toughest kid in town, you have a reputation to maintain! But then Yusuke does something that betrays his killer rep. He dives in front of a speeding car to push a little boy out of harm's way! Yusuke makes the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of another, but is it really time for this brash young man's life to come to an end? Episode 2 - Koenma Appears Pulled by the sprightly, pink-robed Botan, Yusuke enters a realm that is not quite normal - Spirit World. There, Yusuke meets Koenma, a 700 year-old ruler with the body of a toddler, pacifier and all! But there's no room for laughs, as Koenma gives Yusuke an ordeal to restore his life. Hatching a Spirit Beast! Episode 3 - Kuwabara: A Promise Between Men The same age as Yusuke and a fellow fighter, Kuwabara was tormented by his rival's death. The loser in all 156 of his brawls against Yusuke, he's now lost any chance he ever had of evening the score! But with Yusuke out of the way, Kuwabara is the new kid to beat, which means he's making plenty of enemies. Yusuke isn't fond of this classmate, but if he wants to win back his life, he'll need to give him a ghostly hand. Episode 4 - Requirements for Lovers Spirit World forgot an important question - does anyone want Yusuke back? Koenma sends an Investigator to find out, and Yusuke's friends answer quickly when a fire threatens to char his earthly body. But will Yusuke give up the Spirit Beast, his one chance of reviving, to rescue his friends?

5 out of 5 stars 4.7-4.9/5 (whole Series).......2005-10-18

Yu-Yu Hakusho... In early 2002, or so, I believe it was, maybe 2001, this show was aired on Adult Swim and Toonami, and though, they only showed 20 something episodes back then, they started showing up to the Dark Tournament sometime in 2004, I believe, maybe started mid 2003, but... Lol, my memory is fading, it seems. Anyway... I saw that they were releasing the Import boxset in English on a website, and so I bought 2 sets of it, containing episodes: 1-50 on 6 discs (uncut), which was great, but... It didn't end the Dark Tournament, then, back in 2004, they released a 3rd boxset, containing episodes: 51-78, which ended the Dark Tournament, and started the Chapter Black Saga. After witnessing all of the Dark Tournament, which is my favorite Saga in the Series, I REALLY began to love this show A LOT. I liked it before, but far from how much I love it now. At any rate, the Series' Storyline is superb, and the action is grand. So, the bottom line is: if you like action Anime, but not brainless, no reason violence, with an excellent Storyline, then, I suggest you give this Anime a try. T-O-G-U-R-O; Toguro, yes, Toguro. Man... Team Toguro -- Ultimate. As for my age rating for this Anime: 16+/R (Graphic Violence, Gore, Profanity, Sexual Situations, and Adult Complex Themes). One of the Animes tied in 2nd place for me.

4 out of 5 stars One of the best dub jobs I've ever seen!.......2005-09-24

I am a huge fan of YuYu Hakusho, and this is one of the best dubs ever! Unlike most dubs, the voices fit the characters perfectly.Yusuke and Kuwabara have appropriately
rough adolesant voices, with Kuwabara's having an idiotic tinge to it.Hiei's and Kurama's voices sound cool and demonic. I have nothing against the japanese version, but Yusuke sounded too deep.Greatest action anime ever!

3 out of 5 stars Seen the Entire Series, This Vol. is One of the Worst.......2005-07-29

Being a true YYH fan, I have seen all 112 episodes, and this volume is the 3rd worst of all 32. (Terrible Truths and Dark Tournament Begins are worse than this) There is emotion in this volume, which I like but... it's not very entertaining. But, you shouldn't make this stop you from buying a 5-Star anime. I am still recommending this volume, because or else it will be weird having only volumes 2-32! So... I think you should buy this product.

3 out of 5 stars Somewhat decent.......2004-12-17

I was skeptical to how Funimation was gonna handle another anime series and not do another "hatchet" job. Listening to the English track with the Japanese script , you can tell the show has been very "kiddie-fied" and cleaned up. Basically death, alcohol, and sex talk. So I ended up going back to the Japanese track and was pleasently surprised. Great opening and closing tunes , as well as a solid storyline make this one a sure fire hit. Just stay away from the dub and edited versions.
Extras are lousy however. Whoopey, more DBZ saga previews with ludicrously overdone voiceovers compliments of Funimation.

4 out of 5 stars An Amazing Anime.......2004-10-23

This is a great action packed and funny dvd. But compared to the other ones this is horrible. Yuskay is run over by a car and meets boton the grim reper. So yusky meets kounba ruler of the spirt world who explains about an ordeal to get his life back. Yuskay gets a spirt egg it feeds off yuskays spirt if he is good he will be brought back to life if he is bad it will devoer him.

5 out of 5 stars an extraordinary movie.......2006-11-01

Excellent storytelling that brings you deep thoughts about life, and how to live it within limitations. Good script, natural performance, uplifting cinematography. Sentimental yet hilarious, it gives you a sense of serenity while watching it and long after. This is fresh air.

5 out of 5 stars Takeshi Kaneshiro will make your heart melt.......2005-07-09

While the movie overtly revolves around Kelly Chen's character--as she deals with lost love and a deadly illness--the movie really depends upon Takeshi Kaneshiro's absolutely heartbreaking role as the perpetually lost, immensely lonely, and utterly eccentric and quirky character "Worm," who spends his life helping people find their lost items (real and imaginary). While Kelly Chen and Kaneshiro usually have zero chemistry, this is one movie where they are perfectly cast opposite each other: Kelly Chen is withdrawn and troubled while Kaneshiro is youthful, childlike, and always willing to reach out. The movie--a quest narrative--is a wonderful gem about love, mortality, love lost, and immortality. If you are a fan of Kaneshiro, then you will recognize the Kaneshiro of "Fallen Angels" in this movie--he is the hurt boy next door, whose lips quiver with pain, but they twist quickly into a genuine smile at the sight of a ballon floating across the sky. Watch it for Kaneshiro! (Oh, and he looks hella good as usual. Duh.)

5 out of 5 stars The Phenomenon DVD's are increadable stories of historic proportion!!.......2005-10-22

I have all of the Phenomenon DVD's and they are the most outstanding DVDs I have ever seen!!

They are extremely intriguing, well narrated, and excited. They are filled with News that is kept out of the news.

Dean Stockwell his star quality talent to Host the series.

My favorite episodes are about Noahs Ark, Cold Fusion, and HARP

5 out of 5 stars What is fascinating about a Series such as this..............2005-03-10

I have all of the Phenomenon DVD's and they are exceptional.

Lavishly produced, very HIGH Quality and extremely intriguing.

Dean Stockwell---a very underated and under appreciated actor brings his star quality talent in at just the right pitch as the Host of the series.

By the way, Check out Hepburn and Stockwell in the timeless film adaptation of Eugene O'Neil's "Long Days Journey Into Night" for proof of that statement! One of the great forgotten films!!!!!!

Unfortunately...I cannot remember the name of the man who narrarates the Phenomenon series, but his voice was a stroke of casting genius.

What the inimitable Alexander Scourby did for the Bible...this man...whoever he is...does for this series...

So check out this series if you want to see a surprisingly Professional and Expertly produced Investigative-Documentary Series that covers many subjects of Mystery in a manner that does not de-legitimize the subject itself with a lot of Hooey!

Example....the Noah's Ark segment is possibly one of the most groundbreaking and stunning documentaries that I have ever seen on the subject of Noah's Ark research!

Especially as there is photographic evidence of this amazing earthquake that occured and basically exposed the ribs of an ancient ship at the foot of Arrarat.

What is fascinating about a Series such as this is that they are willing to actually consider and present evidence even when it defies conventional or institutionalized versions of Histories Mysteries.

Yep...for those of us who enjoyed "In Search Of..." with Leonard Nimoy back in the 70's and have come to detest all of the conveyor belt shaky camera crap documentaries that Discovery and A&E are putting out these days full of fluff and way to many commercials, then this is a top notch series to get your hands on.

Documentary series just don't come along this good very often.

I wish the legendary Graham Hancock could get together with the folks who made this series and.....oh man would that be a buzz or what!!!!!!!!!!

I would be willing to purchase a documentary just of them talking about the idea of making such a documentary of his ideas and theories with this quality of production....!!

Anyway...this is Quality and Intrigue at a great price!!!

4 out of 5 stars Very good value.......2002-09-07

The first of three programs on this dvd is Noah's Ark Found, which follows the discovery of a boat shape object on Mt Ararat which could be the Ark itself, or maybe not. The second episode which is the best of the three is about Tunguska, what really exploded in 1908 over this region which still has no conclusion. Was is a comet, nuclear explosion or a UFO, you decide. Program number 3 is about the cover up of Cosmonaut Vladimir Ilyushin, I didn't know what this cover up was about until I watched this dvd and was amazed at the evidence that the Russians had lied to the world about who really was the first man in space, fascinating episode. All programs run for about 45 minutes each, there are no extras.

    4 out of 5 stars Phenomenon-Lost Archives: Noah's Ark.......2001-09-14

This is an excellent thought-provoking production. The two best episodes are: Noah's Ark Found and Tunguska: The Russian Roswell. People interested in Noah's Ark will find this episode of particular interest - - it takes the viewer right up to the point of the discovery, laying the foundation for the next steps - - factual proof.
Tunguska also is a gripping 47 minute show on a liitle-known but incredible phenomenon that occurred; which I believe has been hidden from the public.
I strongly recommend this DVD to anyone interested in history, unusual occurrences and the possibility of alien visitors to our planet.
