"Overboard" is a Goldie Hawn classic! "Bird on a wire" and "Overboard" are neck and neck for all time funniest Goldie Hawn flicks. Either way, "Overboard" is playfully entertaining from start to finish!

One of those comedies that never gets old, `Overboard' makes me laugh every time I put it on. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are brilliant together (on and off screen) and they prove that the whole phobia of working with your life-partners is not always justified. As Joanna Stayton, Goldie Hawn is flawlessly evil and deliciously despicable, but when a boating accident causes her amnesia she's quickly forgotten by her husband and picked up by Dean Proffitt (Kurt Russell), the handy man she previously fired. The chemistry between the two is priceless and adds to the funny factor and replay value of this genuine comedy. Some (or at least one) reviewer made mention to the fact that this man is taking advantage of her and that this is not funny but despicable. Yes he is taking advantage of her, but it's funny so get over it. Have you ever seen `Fargo'? They kidnap, murder and lie, all of which are despicable yet it's utterly hilarious. Don't be such a prude!

At the beginning of this no-budget cheapie, Adam Sandler tells us this is a "loosely thrown together story" built around free access to a cruise ship and "a lot of good-looking women." So they get an A for truth in advertising. Sandler (very green in his first feature film) plays Shecky Moskowitz, a cruise ship waiter with dreams of being a standup comedian. At one point, General Manuel Noriega sends some goons to take over the ship. And there's a lot of voluptuous women hanging around in bikinis. So much for the plot. Sold as a wacky sex comedy, Going Overboard is more of a funny-nose-and-glasses movie, desperately trying anything for a laugh. Sandler's trademark being-funny-by-being-unfunny hadn't started to click yet. Only Billy Zane (as a sort of long-suffering-Jewish-grandmother-ish King Neptune) and Adam Rifkin (as a self-absorbed, mossy-toothed heavy metal star) seem to have any comic timing. A number of the supporting cast would go on to play roles in other, better Adam Sandler movies. Look fast for Billy Bob Thornton(!), appearing here as "Dave the heckler." --Geof Miller

This movie is in fact the best movie ever created, along the lines of Shawshank Redemption, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Waterworld, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Pilates Workout Tape 2, Snakes on a Plane, The Mighty Ducks 3, Land Before Time 8, All Dogs go to Heaven, and Speed 2: Cruise Control. The genius acting of Adam and his co-stars Billy Bob Thornton and Billy Zane create perhaps the funniest, most touching, life-changing cinema experience ever. Shecky Moskowitz is without a doubt the best character ever portrayed in a motion picture. This should be required viewing in schools all over the world as it is an awe-inspiring, heartwarming tale that will forever change the life of any person who has the pleasure of viewing it. I can't say enough about this amazing film, it is a must see. A quote from Marlon Brando in this wonderful movie: "There is nothing more important in the world than the power of laughter.".. Amazing, simply amazing.

My goodness, this movie is pure gold. I mean the character and plot development almost enticed me to watch past the first 30 minutes, unfortunately a voice deep within my soul beckened me to gouge the eyes out of my head with a rusty screwdriver rendering me blind and unable to see the film's ultimate climax.

I believe catching every disease on earth at once would be more pleasant than watching this movie. It's not even worth a penny, which is probably how much they spent making this film. Save yourself time, money, sanity and I.Q. points RUN AWAY!

This film is insane. Plot, what plot. The plot is total crap. This film is the worst film I ever saw in my life and that is saying something.

The only good thing in this movie is to hear Adam singing.

I cant believe how Adam became a such a big star ather this movie. This movie should have killed his acting career. This show us how much of a talented actor is Adam to go on to have a very big acting career and became a very big star in hollywood ather this movie. If any other less talented actor had been the main star in that film, that person acting career would have been over.

That how bad this movie is. If you dont dont believe me, check out your self.

I bet Adam is looking back on this film and saying, "what was I thinking of staring in that film. O well actor has to start somewhere".

Dont do it........2005-12-18

People are not joking or exaggerating when they say this is one of the worst movies they have seen. It is actually on IMDB's worst movies of all time (#21). Its not even worth describing how unfunny this movie is, even for adam sandler fans.

This dvd is one of the best blink-182 dvds you can ever think of , because the two blink-182 music videos on it are very good. Man Overboard is very good because there cool tiny people running around town naked. Adam's song is good because it's a slow song and a cool video and in the video there is cool pictures on the wall behind Blink-182 singing.

Okay, Blink 182 is my favourite band but it's not worth it! Even for a band like Blink 182, I recommend Urethra Chronicles, I've never seen it, but I hear all over than it's really good! Get that instead!!

This dvd contains the video clips of Man Overboard and Adams song. For anyone that owns the cronicals you already have Adams Song... As there are no extra features I would leave this one for hardcore blink fans only... I must admit bought it though but only because I love the Man Overboard clip... tee hee funny midgets!

THE BEST MUSIC VIDEO I OWN!.......2001-07-13

Up until the release of this DVD, "Metallica: S&M" was the best music DVD I had. I had never seen the videos for either song, but I loved the songs so much I heard them over and over. When I went to the store and had my mom buy it, she said "this is a waste of money", and I said "Well, you don't like Blink-182, so I wouldn't talk". When I put it into my DVD player, I was amazed at how good the picture looked crisp and clear and the sound quality was awesome, even if it was in 2.0 Surround. I hope Blink releases a DVD with the music video for "The Rock Show" off of "Take Off Your Pants & Jacket" one of Blink's best albums to date. Buy this DVD!

A great DVD for a great price!.......2001-06-16

Some may say, this DVD is a waste of time and money, well I have to differ. This DVD has both the Adam's Song and Man Overboard music videos both in great Dolby Digital surround sound. It's a good DVD for such a cheap price. It should have had more features like lyrics or 5.1 DOLBY DIGITAL, and audio commentary with the band. Oh well, this is still worth it.

BUY NOW ONLY IF YOU ARE A BLINK-182 FAN!

Also buy the new album from Blink: Take Off Your Pants and Jacket! THAT's A GOOD BUY 2!
