The Super S series encompasses episodes 128 to 166 of this popular TV show and follows the S series, in which the Sailor Scouts defeated the Death Busters. During an eclipse, the eerie Dead Moon Circus appears in Tokyo. Ringmaster Zirconia sends out the Amazon Trio (Fish-Eye, Tigers-Eye, and Hawks-Eye) to find a "mirror of beautiful dreams," which will enable them to capture the Pegasus, a winged unicorn that forms a psychic bond with Chibiusa. Pegasus gives Serena and Chibiusa new weapons and the ability to transform into Super versions of themselves. They need all the power they can muster to protect not only their innocent friends, but a nun, Artemis the cat, and Serena's mother Ikuko from the machinations of the Amazon Trio, despite help from Tuxedo Moon and Scouts Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina (Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako in Japanese). The six episodes here are the uncut originals and rated 13 Up for violence, grotesque imagery, and brief nudity. --Charles Solomon

5 out of 5 stars Love it or just don't watch it!.......2005-05-06

*~Ok, well let's see, this is the 4th season of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon known as Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon SuperS/Super Soldiers and really focuses a lot on Chibiusa trying to live a regular life with Usagi and the rest of the senshi but then a solar eclipse ruins everything. This eclipse is sort of "special" because while everyone is watching it in action the Dead Moon Circus appears. Not just that but recently a pegasus sparks up in Chibiusa's dreams and later helps Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon become Super Sailors. Yet begins the new season full of dreams, sadness, fight for Mamoru(Fish's Eye versus Usagi), romance(between Chibiusa and Pegasus along with Usagi and Mamoru's), and showing that Usagi and Chibiusa's bond grows not just as siblings but as mother and daughter. All I have to say is that if you're a Chibiusa/Rini hater please watch this season the whole way through and you might think differently of her. Otherwise if you don't want to give her a chance just forget this season was ever made! You will sure miss out on comedy(watching Mamoru's rear behind), the drama(seeing how much Usagi really loves Mamoru), and dreams....~*

1 out of 5 stars Cute, but that's all.......2004-06-18

I am a HUGE fan of Sailor Moon and I have to say that I was utterly disappointed when I got this. I received this, as well as Sailor Moon SuperS Pegasus Collections 2,3, and 5 for Christmas of 2002.
I had high expectations for the series at first, but those high expectations suddenly turned to low ones.
This has to be the worst Sailor Moon season by far.
It is completely boring and focuses mainly on Chibiusa and Pegasus.
If you want to watch a good Sailor Moon season, watch either the first season (Sailor Moon) or the third (S).

4 out of 5 stars Sailor Moon Super Soldiers.......2004-06-17

Well before you start on this dvd set it's best that you have seen the 1st 2nd & 3rd seasons. This dvd is a new start to sailor moon most of the action and drama is over and this SuperS series more of a "comedy" than a action or drama show..well for now anyway, this is a comedy because of all the serious stuff that happen last season and this is the season before the last season, the SuperS season is now in a box-set and it has the same thing that these dvds are but they are "thin packed" so they take up less space, also the box set has only one cover on each of its 7 dvds.so its up to you really..do you want to buy all 7 dvds one by one each with 2 covers? or do you want all 7 dvds in a boxset with only 1 cover on each dvd? personaly I got all the dvds one by one.
If you want the box set amazon is now takeing Pre-orders for them. one way or the other you will enjoy this season but it is not as good as the rest but you will need to see it before the last season to understand a everything.

5 out of 5 stars Usagi's New Powers, Diana the New Kitten.......2004-05-20

I didn't know Chibiusa had a friend named Pegasus. It's just a white horse with angel wings. It's like a......a...dream. I wish I seen a white horse with wings just like Pegasus. He's the one who gave Usagi and Chibiusa their new powers. He gave powers to the rest of the sailor senshi too. hen a kitten named Diana happens to be the daughter of Luna and Artemis. The Amazon Trio are the enemy in this DVD.

4 out of 5 stars The continuation of an excellent series.......2004-04-01

INTRODUCTION:
Sailor Moon is an anime series that first aired in 1992. It was based on a manga series created by Nakao Takeuchi, best known for her Sailor V series at the time. In no time at all, the series had become wildly popular, and in the mid-nineties it was ported to America. Unfortunately, it was severely edited. Some entire episodes were missing and the dialogue was butchered. Fans cried out for uncut episodes. And finally, early in the new millennium, uncensored DVDs were released. The entire Super S series, the fourth of five series, is now available uncut on DVD! Read on for my review of this set.

BASIC PLOT:
This is the fourth of the five Sailor Moon series. By now the Death Busters have been defeated, and Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus have left town. Sailor Chibi Moon has also decided to remain in the present time period rather than go back to the future. Unfortunately, the peace period is short lived. A new series of villains has arrived on the scene following the occurence of an eclipse. These new villains hunt down humans for their dream mirrors, in hope that they will find the one that their master desires. And all the while, Chibiusa keeps getting visits from a mysterious Pegasus in her dreams. What's up with this? This saga of Sailor Moon rages on for about thirty episodes.

SERIES OPINIONS:
Overall, this is a good Sailor Moon saga, but when compared to the other sagas of the series, it's strictly average. The Dream Mirror thing is pretty much a rip-off of the Heart Crystal thing from the previous series, the S series. Likewise, Chibiusa is an annoying character - although she's not QUITE as bad as people make her out to be. If you're a fan of the series, check this saga out. I think you'll enjoy it.

THE DUB:
The dubbed version of the series is in many ways better than previous sagas that have been dubbed, and worse in many ways. It's better in that it uses the original background music and that more of the character names than ever before are close to their originals, but it's worse in that some scenes are horribly translated, and many of them have been Americanized, often with horrible slang. Here's a little tip - while you're watching the Japanese subtitled version of the DVD, hit the Audio button on your DVD remote and switch to the dub track. This way you can watch the English dub with the English subtitles for the Japanese version - there's no better way to see how bad some of the translations are!

DVD:

Once again, DVDs featuring an uncut dub and an uncut sub have been released. This is great because you get both versions of the series. Unfortunately, these DVDs are severely lacking in the extras department. Why couldn't they give us things like production art and interviews with cast and crew? Those would have been great extras!

OVERALL:
Overall this is an excellent DVD set, but I remain confident that I could also have been done much better. Still, if you're a Sailor Moon fan, this is a strongly recommended release.
