WCW Lives!.......2007-06-22
TNA is a great company for fans who long for the era of WCW VS WWE. Too bad TNA is turning out to be WCW circa 2000. Its a funny trend to have big names come in and win the belt within a few months: Christian Cage, Sting, and now Kurt Angle. Do you sign a deal with TNA and automatically get the world title? RVD is soon to join the ranks of TNA. I do think its a good move. RVD vs AJ Styles? Sting? Samoa Joe? The Fallen Angel? Senshi? The matches are endless if they choose to play there cards right. WWE is in a rut and people are getting sick of the company. TNA should take over as the #1 company but has yet to do it. Everyone claims to hate ECW but it gets the same ratings as TNA on Thrusday. TNA should grow more talent like Styles, Samoa Joe, and Fallen Angel instead of stars like Tomoko, Basham, The Steiners, Dudleys, Road Warrior Animal, Angle, Sting, etc.
Disappointed.......2007-01-10
I was very disappointed with the DVD. I don't like seeing just small clips of matches. I like to see what leads up to the greatest moments not just bits and pieces. Had I seen this DVD first, I never would have bought it. Definitely not TNA quality!
The best wrestling DVD of 2006.......2007-01-04
This is no doubt the best wrestling DVD of 2006. TNA owns all other wrestling companies especially WWE and this is a great example of why. I have been a TNA fan since day one and I loved watching this and going over all the great memories I have about the promotion. I highly reccomend this DVD to anyone weather it be a new TNA fan or a long time one I know you will enjoy this.
A good history lesson for newer fans..........2006-12-25
-Like the title says, this is a good DVD for fans who are either just getting into TNA wrestling or started watching it when it debuted on FSN in 06/04 or those that bought the weekly PPV's from the beginning. I'm option 2 and I like the fact that this DVD shows some of the moments from the weekly PPV's.
The list of the moments are as follows and include comments from various wrestlers:
#50-Roddy Piper humiliates Chris Rose: From the FSN days, TNA cross promoted with "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" for a two-hour show, that was lukewarm at best and this moment was the most lukewarm of them all. Not that Piper didn't try, but it was not neccesary to put on the list.
-Chris Rock comes to the TNA Asylum: Rock filming a scene for "Head of State" and made an appearance on the PPV. Not a bad promo cut by Rock.
-The Debut of Diamond Dallas Page: DDP makes his TNA debut, his tenure only lasted about 6 months. Loved the comments from Raven.
-Jeff Jarrett brawls with the Tennessee Titans: A few players from the football team are in the front row and start attacking Jarrett, before some wrestlers come to back up Jarrett. Good segment.
-Jim Cornette joins TNA: Shows highlights of Cornette's debut at Slammiversary '06. Nice promo clips of Jim E. ripping WWE the way only he can.
#45-The Gore from Hell: Rhyno gores Abyss through a metal walls in the Impact Zone. Loved the comments from James Mitchell, creepy voice that man has.
-The Return of Senshi: Senshi returns at Lockdown '06 to face his former Triple X partner. Nice highlights of the match.
-The Road Warriors come to TNA: The debut of the Road Warriors in November of '02. Pretty loud pop when they came out, nice moves by both men.
-Joe vs. Liger: Highlights of the Bound For Glory '05 match between the two men. Good segment.
-The Team 3D Funeral: Funny segment with America's Most Wanted, Team Canada, James Mitchell, Abyss, Gail Kim and Jeff Jarrett, holding a mock funeral of Team 3D.
#40-Toby Keith Eliminates Jeff Jarrett: Starts with Keith performing his "Angry American" song, Jarrett interupts it. Then during the battle royal Keith comes in, suplexes Jarrett and eliminates him from the match.
-Team NWA wins the World X Cup: Good highlights of the finals of the World X Cup, an Ultimate X match basically.
-The Fire at Hard Justice '06-A fire breaks out during the PPV, TNA kept the fans going on the outside while the smoke clears, then manages to put on a good PPV.
-Raven's bloody scalping-James Mitchell scalps Raven, even digging the clippers into Raven's skull. Pretty brutal stuff and I loved Mitchell's comments about Raven himself.
-Rhyno debuts at No Surrender: Raven gets gored by Rhyno after winning a Dog Collar Match against Abyss.
#35-The Debut of Team 3D-On the first Impact on Spike T.V., Team 3D attacks Jarrett, AMW and Team Canada in their debut. Major league pop for the debut.
-Samoa Joe wins the X-Division Championship: Highlights from his match vs. AJ Styles at Turning Point '05. Pretty brutal and cool moves by Joe
and AJ.
-Abyss invades Christian Cage's home: Good home video segment of Abyss attacking Cage all over his house.
-The First TNA Cage Match: Highlights of AMW vs. Triple X's brutal match. Some bloody footage follows.
-Ken Shamrock wins the first TNA Era NWA Championship: Clips of Shamrock winning his first wrestling world title. Good moves by Shamrock.
#30-Cookiegate: Shane Douglas, Abyss and Tracy from TNA comes to visit WWE, while they were filming a commercial for Royal Rumble '05. Pretty silly stuff here, but the TNA peeps seemed to be having fun, they filmed some WWE wrestlers but had to blur out the faces.
-The Truth wins the NWA Championship: Clips of the Truth's victory over Shamrock, nice that he won a world title.
-Controversy in Canada: Happened at a house show in Canada. Jeff Jarrett conspired with AMW and Team Canada coach Scott D'Amore to screw Raven out of the NWA title. Thus Jarrett becomes the new NWA champion. Cool segment.
-Jeff Hardy's Insane Leap at Bound For Glory '05: During the Monster's Ball match, Hardy takes a leap off of the top of the stage onto Abyss. Crazy move, huge pop for it.
-Brian Urlacher comes to TNA: The Chicago Bears linebacker shows a few moves in the ring even press slamming "Survivor's" Johnny Fairplay out of the ring onto some security. Cool stuff.
#25-Victory Road '04-TNA's first three-hour Sunday PPV. Highlights of the show and good ones.
-Scott Steiner's debut at Destination X: Pretty shocking debut, followed by a not so shocking sloppy showing of moves by Steiner on Sting or Steve Borden or whatever.
-Lockdown '05-The first all steel cage PPV with great highlights. Loved Mitchell's comments.
-Basebrawl: Honoring members of the World Series Champions Chicago White Sox and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Pretty silly segment except for Heenan, though the comments by Simon Diamond to AJ (of the White Sox) were funny and cool.
-Rhyno wins the NWA world title at Bound for Glory '05: Rhyno wins the Monster's Ball, a 10-man gautlet, then beats Jarrett for the title.
#20-Raven debuts at steals the NWA Title: Raven debuts and attacks Jarrett after he retains the title and steals the belt. Loved the "McMahon Fears Raven" sign a fan had near the entrance way.
-Nash, Hall and Savage debut in TNA: Could've been put together with the Victory Road '04 highlights, that's all I've got to say. Nice debut by all three though.
-The first six sides of steel cage match: Pretty cool and brutal stuff here, between AMW and The Naturals. Bloody shots of all four men follow.
-Jeff Jarrett becomes the King of the Mountain: Cool highlights from the very first "KOTM" match.
-Raven fufills his destiny: Raven wins the NWA title at Slammiversary '05, cool stuff.
#15-The first Ultimate X Match: Nice early highlights from TNA, cool moves from Matt Bentley, Kazarian and Chris Sabin. Man Bentley was bleeding bad.
-Alex Shelley films Sting: Home video footage of Shelley around Sting's home, then Sting confronts Shelley later in the highlight package.
-AJ Styles becomes the first X-Division Champion: Highlights from the first X-Division Title match. Great moves by Jerry Lynn, Low Ki (Senshi) and AJ.
-The Debut of Jeff Hardy: Hardy in a shocking debut against AJ, good highlights follow. Good pop for the debut too.
-TNA's first ever PPV: Nice highlights, though these could've been including with the Shamrock and Keith highlights, or vice versa.
#10-Chris Candido leads the Naturals to the NWA tag team titles: Great segment, touching and moving. Loved the comments by various wrestlers and sharing their favorite Candido moments.
-Christian Cage becomes the NWA Champion: Great highlights of Cage's victory over Jarrett, Cage even powerbombs Gail Kim as she leaps from the top rope.
-Barbed Wire Massacre: Bloody highlights of Abyss and Sabu shredding each other with many uses of the barb wire ropes and weapons wrapped in barb wire.
-AJ Styles ends Jarretts World Title Reign: AJ beats Jarrett in a great match at Hard Justice, which ended Jarrett's nearly year long title reign.
-AMW vs. Triple X: Six Sides of Steel: Great highlights of the famous cage match from Turning Point '04. Sick moves by all four men, but especially Elix Skipper's stunning (and I mean stunning) hurricarana, from the top of the cage, he tight rope walked the top of the cage, what a great and shocking move.
#5-Christian Cage debuts: Cage's debut at Genesis '05, huge pop from the crowd. Also shows highlights from the whole night, including his alignment with Team 3D and Rhyno.
-The Unbreakable three-way: Highlights from the greatest three-way match I've seen in a long time, between AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe. Just watch and enjoy it and see the match if you haven't already.
-Jeff Jarrett attacks Hulk Hogan: Ho-hum segment where Hogan gets attacked by Jarrett in Japan. Actually not too bad, just didn't need to be this high on the list.
-Sting Returns to Wrestling: Sting's return at Final Resolution '06, huge pop from the crowd when he first came out. Highlights of the tag match follow.
#1-TNA debuts on Spike T.V.-Guess this one makes sense, actually thought their first PPV ever would've been number 1, but oh well.
-I do think they could have lumped a couple of moments together, (i.e. Nash/Hall/Savage debuts & Victory Road '04 and Toby Keith & TNA's first weekly PPV). But I thought the selection of moments was good, the placement was another story. Some should have been higher, other should have been lower, others shouldn't have been on (i.e. Roddy Piper/Chris Rose) and I feel that the fire at Hard Justice '06 should have been discussed just a little more.
-My favorite moment was the Chris Candido Tribute, this was giving a good amount of time and had heart felt comments from Shane Douglas, Simon Diamond and The Naturals. There are many more moments but that one is the best in my opinion.
-Overall this is a good purchase, worth at least $15-20.
Impressive but alot of it is footage I already have.......2006-12-10
I like the fact that WWE has some form of competition. History has shown that WWE gets hot whenever VKM has competition. To see where the company has come from such humble beginnings is great. I again just like good wrestling and I think it is bogus to say one company is better then the other. However that being said alot of the footage is already on other TNA Wrestling DVD's. I have most of them. For that reason I give it Three stars. If you do not know if you would like TNA Wrestling. This disk will give you a good flavor of it.

Customer Reviews:
Good stuff.......2007-02-23
-The man called Sting, one of the greatest stars of wrestling in the late `80's, `90's and into `01 on the final WCW Nitro telecast. Loved this DVD, though more could be done if and when WWE and Sting come to an agreement in the future to show a truly comprehensive DVD set on Sting's career, since Vince owns pretty much all of the footage of Sting's career.
-The DVD is divided into two parts: Sting's return to TNA in `06 and his own words on his career.
-The return portion starts out with a voiceover describing how Sting was a great catalyst for the wrestling boom in the `90's and how he quietly left wrestling after WCW closed down.
-Then goes to Turning Point `05, when Rhino lost to Jeff Jarrett and then scorpion graphics hit the screen to a huge pop from the crowd. We then see the trench coat and baseball bat of Sting on a chair in the middle of the ring.
-Next the announcement from Mike Tenay that Sting is joining TNA wrestling.
-The rest of the return program is Sting's matches and footage, from his return at Final Resolution '06 to Victory Road `06.
-Final Resolution: Sting & Christian Cage vs. Jeff Jarrett & Monty Brown: Sting's return got a huge and I mean huge pop from the crowd. The tag match itself is pretty basic, but a lot more fun because the crowd was so into it. Good offense showing from Sting, a shoulder block, a leapfrog, hip toss and a dropkick all on Jarrett. Crowd chants "You've still got it" after this display. There was a nice hurricarana by Gail Kim onto Cage on the outside. After a while Sting gets the tag, nice offense from Sting on both men, then locks in the Scorpion Death Lock on Jarrett. The finish sees Jarrett get his guitar, but it's smashed by Sting's baseball bat. Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop on Jarrett for the win in about 15 minutes. Loved the post match stuff with Sting & Cage. 8/10.
-Impact after Final Resolution, Sting announces he's leaving, he's proven he could still wrestle. He thanked the fans and left much to the dismay of the fans and fellow wrestlers.
-Then we see Alex Shelley's footage of Sting's family, that leads to his return at Destination X. Interview footage with Sting saying he's coming to Lockdown with his army so Jarrett better be ready.
-Impact-4/13/06-Sting vs. Eric Young: Good match, Sting even hit's a cross body block over the top rope on Young, Shelley and Coach D'Amore. Young dominates for a bit, after Sting misses a Stinger splash on the outside, hitting the guardrail chest first. Sting fights back and the finish comes when Sting hit's the Scorpion Death Drop on Young for the win, in about 8 minutes, including the commercial break. 6/10.
-Lockdown: Sting's Army (Sting, AJ Styles, Rhino and Ron "The Truth" Killings") vs. Jarrett's Army (Jarrett, America's Most Wanted and Scott Steiner): Joined in progress just about a minute before Sting enters the cage. Weapons come into play as the roof on the cage is lowered. Nice spot with AJ doing a sick splash off of some scaffolding on the ceiling, onto James Storm. Sting makes Chris Harris tap out to the Scorpion Death Lock shortly after. Just about 10 minutes of match time. 7/10, for what I saw of the match.
-Sacrifice: Sting & Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner: About what you'd expect, especially from older stars like Steiner and Sting, a decent match overall. Nice diving clothesline from Sting onto both Steiner and Jarrett. The match was a lot better once both Steiner and Joe faced off, as it was a great display of power, by both. Steiner did look pretty sloppy and tired, when he wasn't executing suplexes on Joe. Nice splash by Sting onto the outside on Steiner. Joe battles with Jarrett for a bit and hits the muscle buster for the win in about 14 minutes. 8/10. Loved the post match stuff where Joe shook Sting's hand after a bit, but wouldn't come to his aid as Steiner & Jarrett, beat up Sting.
-Impact-6/8/06-Sting vs. Scott Steiner: Fairly quick one, very slow especially from Steiner. Nice crossface submission hold by Steiner though and he does hit some good suplexes. Jarrett causes a DQ finish when he stops Sting from pinning Steiner. About 12 minutes including the commercial break.
-Impact-7/6/06: Sting & Christian vs. Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner: Decent tag match, Cage and Sting work well together. Some brawling and basic offense from all four men. Cage hit's a frogsplash on Jarrett and Sting makes the cover for the win in about 11 minutes including the commercial break. 6/10. Nice post match brawling from all four men afterwards.
-Victory Road: Road to Victory 4-Way: Sting vs. Christian Cage vs. Scott Steiner vs. Samoa Joe: Good four way match, liked the offensive exchanges between Cage and Joe. Jarrett comes in a sprays some gas in Sting's eyes, Sting leaves the arena running. The match continues, there's nice spot where Steiner hits an elbow drop on Joe through a table on the outside. Joe has the Kokina clutch on Steiner then goes after Cage, when Sting returns to the ring after about 10 minutes of being away. Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop on Steiner for the win in about 15 minutes.
-Sting's Career: Good interview segment.
-He describes his childhood, how he played sports, his start in wrestling, especially how he at first had no interest in wrestling. His wrestling career is shown through a few pictures provided by outside sources and told by the man himself. Great stories by Sting on his character change and others things, like how he became born again Christian during his final few years in WCW. Loved how he talked about he almost went to WWF, but couldn't after he saw how WCW wrestlers were used. Good storytelling by Sting, quite touching sometimes.
-The extras include:
-A music video showing highlights of his comeback up to Victory Road in July. Good music too.
-Sting: Word Association on his peers: Great segment, where he states his opinions on various wrestles, including, Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Lex Luger and others.
-TNA stars look back on their favorite Sting moments: David Young, Elix Skipper, Sonjay Dutt and others talk about their most memorable moments from Sting's career. Good overall segment.
-Moment of Truth: Sting talks about his born-again Christian movie, "Moment of Truth". Good segment, with some footage of the film included.
-The face paint: Talks about the look of his paint and how he gets pumped up for the match.
-A match is next from Sting's short lived return to TNA in June of '03, where he made about four appearances for the company, when TNA was just doing weekly PPV's.
-Jeff Jarrett & Sting vs. AJ Styles & Sean Waltman: Good tag match, very well done. Liked AJ here as a heel, his does a great springboard leg drop of the top rope onto Jarrett. Run-ins by Vince Russo, Shane Douglas and Raven lead to the finish where Jarrett hit's a second rope stroke on AJ for the pin in about 12 minutes. Great post match as Jarrett and Sting go nuts on Russo and AJ with the bat. 8/10.
-Photos: A photo gallery of Sting is next, good shots.
Overall this is a great DVD, wish the documentary could've had footage from Sting's career, but it was fine for what they had to work with.

There's Sting, and then there's everybody else........2006-12-16
In a business with numerous claimants to the title of Icon, Sting stands out as one of the more under-appreciated candidates. Sting, above all others in the world of professional wrestling, maintained a rare sense of respectability and dignity.
Back in 2001, when Vince McMahon purchased World Championship Wrestling, Sting decided to finish his 16-year wrestling career and come to terms with his retirement from the industry he loved so much. His newfound faith in the Lord would carry him onto the next phase of his life. A year and a half later, Sting crept back into the world of pro-wrestling with sporadic appearances with an international promotion known as World Wrestling All-Stars; by the middle of 2003, he was appearing in the upstart NWA: Total Nonstop Action, as a favor to the man who gave him his first big break, Jerry Jarrett. As the first big name to give TNA his endorsement, Sting lent a much needed atmosphere of legitimacy which undoubtedly helped TNA grow by leaps and bounds. After a brief hiatus, Sting returned with much fanfare at the beginning of 2006 with a new passion for his life, his career, and most importantly, for the growth of TNA.
This DVD was produced by TNA Entertainment and is appropriately divided into two parts; 1) The Return, and 2) The Career. "The Return" portion chronicles the first eight months of Sting's big return to pro-wrestling, and helping to catapult TNA to bigger and better things. With a runtime of about 4-hours, this DVD features most of Sting's matches on TNA iMPACT and Pay-Pew-View complete and unedited. Including Sting & Christian Cage vs. Jeff Jarrett & Monty Brown, Sting's farewell speech, Sting vs. Eric Young, Sting's Army vs. Jarrett's Army in Lethal Lockdown, Sting & Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner, Sting vs. Scott Steiner, Sting & Christian Cage vs. Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner, and Sting vs. Christian Cage vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. Scott Steiner in the Road to Victory 4-Way Ladder match, plus a whole bunch of extra stuff in between to glue it all together.
"The Career" segment includes candid interviews with Steve Bordon talking about his professional career as Sting and his private life as a husband and father. Bordon shows off his collection of ring jacket that paint a vivid picture of the heights that the famed wrestler has achieved. On top of all of this, there is a section of bonus material including a Sting Music Video, Sting playing the "Name Association" game, TNA wrestlers talking about Sting, a plug for the Sting: Moment of Truth movie, Sting demonstrates his face-paint techniques, Sting's first TNA match back at the First Anniversary Show (Sting and Jeff Jarrett vs AJ Styles and Sean Waltman) and a lengthy picture gallery set to music.
The footprints that Sting has left behind him, tell an inspirational story, much of which can be experienced in the movie Sting: Moment of Truth. However, TNA's "Sting: Return of an Icon" is more oriented to the wrestling audience, and fans of Sting can experience the breathtaking story of one of wrestling's top performers in the last twenty years. This was an intense four hour tribute to a man that is incredibly well respected among his friends, his family, his peers, and especially his fans.
What a great way for Sting to go out........2006-11-24
I have to say first off that Sting is my favorite wrestler of all-time so I will have a bias. I will try to be honest though. I was disappointed that none of his NWA/WCW matches are used here on this tape. However that being said his tna wrestling matches are not gutter trash. He wrestles pretty darn good for a man in his forties. Hogan was not this good. They also have a good biography. The extras were good considering they could only use TNA Wrestling footage. If you are a Sting or TNA Wrestling fan I would buy it.
old wrestling fan here.......2006-11-10
I must say, I'm a wrestling from the 80's (i'm 36). Sting was one wrestler I always liked throughout his career. I do remember the Bladerunners as I am in TX and the I saw the UWF on TV (Bill Watts territory). I admire him for being a born-again Christian and being open about it.
Being an old wrestling fan, I like when there is in-depth interviews about personal and professional lives. The RF shoot interviews are great.
This DVD is one of few wrestling DVD's i own. Too bad McMahon now owns everything (fottage), and if a wrestler was never in his camp, chances are the footage will never be released. I did see when The Rock met up with Booker T, and agree with Steve Borden it was a cheap shot.
Just like Sting says, TNA is a struggling early NWA/WCW with a good wholesome product. WWE is just a soap opera now.

Volume 2 brings back more matches about the X Division.......2007-07-03
TNA's X Division has a lot of wrestlers that show size does not matter. Though I am a big fam of Samoa Joe, Aj Styles, and Christopher Daniels I couldnt wait to see others shine such as petey williams, sonjay dutt, chris sabin, and others. This is one dvd set you need to own. Here are the matches...
X Division Champion Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe - This was the match that started right after a UFC show ended so people would stay tuned and watch the match, a good match. 8/10
Chris Sabin vs. Petey Williams vs. Alex Shelley - Another great match between these three underused wrestlers in TNA in my opinion. A good match 9/10
Christopher Daniels vs. Matt Bentley vs. Austin Aries - These three put on a high flying match that showed just what they could do when they went against each other. This was another Impact match. 9/10
A.J. Styles vs. Chris Sabin - Yet another impact match that showed what two of my favorite wrestlers can put on. Probably could have used more time but still good. 8/10
Chris Sabin vs. Petey Williams vs. Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelley - It seems like every match thats on this set is on impact. Too short of a match and another high flying back and forth battle. 7/10
A.J. Styles vs. Jay Lethal - Jay Lethal should have been X Divisin champion a long time before he won it. Nevertheless he proves he can tangle with the best of them in this great short match. 8/10
Other matches include:
Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley vs. Sonjay Dutt
Destination X: Chris Sabin vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Petey Williams vs. Puma
Lockdown: Ultimate Xscape Match - Chris Sabin vs. Chase Stevens vs. Shark Boy vs. Petey Williams vs. Elix Skipper vs. Puma
Alex Shelley & Sonjay Dutt (Team USA) vs. Goto & Tanaka (Team Japan)
Jay Lethal vs. Shark Boy vs. Senshi vs. Alex Shelley
Sonjay Dutt vs. Jay Lethal vs. Shark Boy vs. Senshi vs. Petey Williams vs. Alex Shelley
X Division Champion Samoa Joe vs. Senshi vs. Sonjay Dutt
Hard Justice: X Division Champion Senshi vs. Jay Lethal vs. Petey Williams
Chris Sabin, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt vs. Alex Shelley, Johnny Devine, Petey Williams
This is a good set, the first volume of the X Division is a little better than the second but this is still highly recommended...
never order from amazon.......2007-05-29
i never received the order .your service is bad i will never order anything from amazon in future
Volume 1 is way better...........2007-04-26
Maybe i'm just saying this because I am a big AJ Styles fan and he was featured more prominently on Vol. 1. AJ was only in 1 match i believe. Even said that, I love seeing Petey Williams as he is in a lot of matches on this disk. My favorite is the Lockdown Xscape match. Get both, but Vol. 1 is better
good but not great.......2006-12-15
its good but just to many short matches from impact they should've waited a little while for more pay per view matches. anyways still worth a look.
I loved the wcw cruiserweight action and this turns up the volume........2006-11-24
What a great disk. It has a bunch of matches from TNA Impact so you are not buying matches already on PPV DVD's. I wish WWE would get their in ring action this good. I like WWE and I really do not care which promotion it is. I just like good wrestling. This disk does just that. Very entertaining, Just like the Match from Supercard of Honor(Ring of Honor Promotion) which has the best ever cruiserweight match I have ever seen to this point. This disk is very close to doing that. If you are just into heavyweights or wwe style this may not be for you. If you like good wrestling I would highly recommend it.

This Is Great!.......2006-12-07
Plain and simple this DVD is worth more than 10 bucks. These matches are all from the past year and a half and should have been on this DVD. They showcased 2 versions of the most original & innovative match in the past copule of years...the Ultimate X match, which was a big plus, and showed some great athleticism which was an even bigger plus. The best thing about this DVD is a informative interview with Jerry Lynn about his career.
TNA really scored a touchdown on this DVD, I hope Volume 2 is just as good, but with most of the DVD featuring matches from Impact I highly guarentee it. If this truly is the best of this division, then this is one amazing division.
This is Awful!.......2006-11-18
Plain and simple this DVD is not worth more than 10 bucks. These matches are all from the past year and a half and should not all have been on this DVD. They had nothing from the Tennessee Era, which was a big disappointment, and was an even bigger mistake. The best thing about this DVD is a pretty lame interview with Jerry Lynn, it might have been boring but at least it was something you never seen before.
The 2 bonus matches are terrible and they don't even edit out the commercials from the broadcast, how freaking low budget is that?
TNA really dropped the ball on this DVD, I hope Volume 2 is much better, but with most of the DVD featuring matches from Impact I highly doubt it. If this truly is the best of this division, then this is one sorry division.
don't 4get samon joe vs aj vs chris daniels from unbreakable.......2006-07-01
chris daniels vs samon joe vs aj styles tna x divison title
what a match i just watch a couple of minutes ago it contained sweet high flying moves, submissions, brillant counters, some innovate spots, and good nearfalls from three of the top wrestlers in the tna industry the match was alittle over 20 minutes long each men gave the fans everything they had i was impressed with samon joe being near 300 pounds he moves around like a cruiserweight wrestler this is my first full match i have seen chris daniels and samon joe i can honestly say that they are one of my favorites along with aj styles i think this is match is almost as good as moty shawn michaels vs kurt angle from wrestlemania 21 the crowd was hot which increased the excitment of the match and allowed the wrestlers to do better this is one of the best tna matches i have ever witness if not the best if i see more of this from tna i will start tuning in to watch tna matches ****1/2+
WWE Cruiserweights SUCK! ECW Comparison!.......2006-06-25
Let's face it TNA Wrestling has strive for your attention by giving you the best althletic and exciting wrestlers outside the WWE Wrestling box.
TNA's X Division is AWESOME and one of a kind. You having witness anything until you have seen an Ultimate X Match (which is included on this DVD). Hell in a Cell? What is that compared to an Ultimate X match?
The WWE tries and tries again by giving you their cruiserwights as reinvented. WWE Cruiserweight action exclusively on WWE Smackdown...where we push The Great Khali (yes! the actor on the Adam Sandler DVD, The Longest Yard, under special features viewed as a gentle giant but now in the WWE he's vicious...no really he is. Why didn't you want him before the movie came out). Come on WWE it didn't work with "Tiny" Lister (aka Zeus) in 1989 why would you do it know? Oh and we push Fit Finlay, wait a minute don't get me wrong Finlay is a great wrestler but wasn't he a road agent one year ago? Wait let's push Mark Henry I mean we've only been trying since 1996! This is the Smackdown brand...are you kidding me? We should rename it WWE Letdown!
TNA's X Division is only one piece of the puzzle to TNA Wrestling more dominate product. TNA is a dominate product it's a better style and entertaining program than WWE. TNA wrestlers actual wrestle! WWE Cruiserweight competition fails because the WWE signs guys like Kid Kash, Jimmy Yang and Tajiri and then don't let them wrestle in the style that got them noticed in the first place.
TNA X Division wrestlers wrestle a very active high flying match and I see them return week after week. WWE is afraid their cruiserweights will over do it and injure themselves all the time. Well then why call them high flyers? Call them Gravity Grounded Underweights!
TNA X Division wrestlers are aware of the risk and do get injured but they seem to differ from WWE brainwashed cruiserweights as they don't forget what the fans what to see out of them. Highflying dare devil moves that drop your jaw in AH! This DVD will prove to you that organized independent high flyers deserve to a national showcase and demand your respect night in and night out. If you liked the No Holds Barred, bust my but wrestlers of what ECW use to be. Then you will love the TNA Best of the X Division DVD. I hate to compare them to anyone because they are not the second coming of anyone but the first coming of something original.
And speaking of the "New" ECW product...WWE your messing up already it takes more than Kelly stripping at every show (pathetic attempt to attract viewers mind you), more the Sandman just welding his cane at everybody & anybody and more than Sabu's return. Why did you go Sabu? TNA was a perfect fit for you. Now your stuck in a 3 year contract in a WWE product that will fail worse than any World Bodybuilding Federation or Xtreme Football League product ever will. It's only a matter of time when ECW fans relize that the goosebumps aren't there any more and the only true way to relive it is to watch old ECW shows. The new ECW product is decent at best but not good. ECW was about the innovation of violence and bloodshed. Now when I see ECW wrestlers bloody I think about how WWE cringe because they think I hate the bloodshed but I have to give the fans what they want. It's not the SAME! and NEVER will be. You can't replace Bam Bam Bigelow with Big Show, Taz with Tazz, Shane Douglas with Kurt Angle (although Angle is a great wrestler), Justin Credible without the Impact Players posse.
The WWE should have signed new talent like Jimmy Yang, the Spanish Announce Team (Jose & Joel Maximo), Bryan Danielson and Chad Collyer. Thrown contracted wrestlers in Paul London, CM Punk, Gregory Helms and Kurt Angle. Left Sabu where he was (in TNA mind you), Kid Kash where he was on Smackdown and the rest left in retirement or doing independent house shows. Keep Paul Heyman as the mastermind, Tommy Dreamer booking not wrestling, Tazz away from ringside...Joey Styles is a lone commentator he needs no partner! This would have an ECW feeling. Wrestlers who bust their buts because they want you to watch. You could've of had this and let guys like Balls Mahoney, Terry Funk and Stevie Richards making special cameos. Then if the fan support was there keep them on. ECW was about creating superstars not stablished ones and NOT about trying to relive old memories. The product was not about who's on the roster put what the roster was all about. Guys earning your respect! I hope your reading Vince and Paul because you messed up already!
Anyway Buy the TNA Best of the X Division Vol. 1 because its very cool, exciting and at the least original wrestling!
TNA Wrestling,so far so good(sorry no DVD rev.).......2006-06-08
TNA is the 2nd most popular Sports Entertainment brand in North America after the WWE(my other faverite wrestling brand),TNA is starting to become really popular and successful, you can already see that they have a comfortable spot in Spike TV,they have also started touring, rather than sticking in Orlando,Florida all the time. The thing I have to say improve about is the championship titles, there is only three-NWA World Heavy Weight title,X-Division title and NWA Tag Team title. They could do with one or two more,They should also make the titles not as "easy" to win, they should all be in months long feuds before the challenger wins it,or the champion defends it,also the challenger should not get his title shot randomly as it so seems, there has to be some sort of tournament or No.1 Contender feuds, that way the titles matches will be much more hyped and exiting to watch.Don`t you agree?
I hope that as TNA progresses, that it will recieve exiting storylines which envolve title feuds, also yes I am aware of its "More action, less talk" style, but I do wish there were some trashtalkers to spice up rivalries,Not the way WWE do them, like John Cena or The Rock exactly, but more of like, underestimating rivals or bragging about ones self.
So in the end,TNA is great and is still growing but they should start improving on things like storylines and so forth so on.
At the moment if i were to rate TNA out of ten,it would be:some where Between 8/10 and 9/10.
As for WWE,i rate it 9/10,if this was 4 months ago I would have rated WWE,7/10 as it sucked, but i am hyped about the new ECW brand(I watched a ECW DVD,Blood Sport and it was darn good!,thats why i like ECW,but i never had a chance to watch it while it was an independant brand,as i have only been interested in wrestling since December 2001.Hopefully WWE will make good use of its new ECW brand extension, and try to hire some more ex.ECW stars,so far they have got Terry Funk,Sabu,Axl.Rotten,RVD,Kurt Angle and the Sandman(one of my fave wrestlers, with his ciggie in his mouth, kendo stick at hand and beer cans in his jean pockets,he`s definately ready to hear wood snap against someones head! :)
anyways goodbye.

Customer Reviews:
If you liked WCW WarGames at its best you'll like this.......2006-11-24
It reminded me of when the Horsemen would take on various opponents. AJ Styles does an insane move off the top of the Impact Zone. The match felt like the old WCW WarGames ppv when they where good. Senshi(Low KI) verses Christopher Daniels was good also. I wish the Team 3D and Team Canada match could have been better. The match was not a bad match by any means. I wish it were better. I thought the lame part of the PPV was having Bullet Bob Armstrong beat Konnan. I thought it pretty much buried LAX. Good PPV.
TNA- Vince McMahon's worst nightmare.......2006-11-10
This is one of TNA's best ppv's of the year. Every match is contested inside the six sides of steel. I highly recommend this dvd and any other of TNA's ppv's for anyone whon is a fan of high flying, high-impact, intense wrestling. This is better than anything WWE has to offer.
The Return Of The Cage.......2006-09-17
For the second time in TNA, Lockdown returned with it's "ALL MATCH IN A STEEL CAGE" concept that worked very well last year's PPV. And the X division matches matches themselves showcased various wrestling styles that would rarely see used in the United States which is an added bonus.
Team Japan (Minoru Tanaka, Black Tiger [no, not Eddie Guerrero but another one], Hirooki Goto vs. Team USA (Sonjay Dutt, Alex Shelley, Jay Lethal)
This was one of two matches that TNA flew in competitors from other international promotions to set up their World X Cup series that would happen leading into the Scarifice PPV. This match was really fased pased & you would heavily value it if you apprechate the japanese style of wrestling. 9 times out of 10, the X divsion never fails to give you a good match.
Christopher Daniels vs. Senshi:
I guess Daniels has a Lockdown curse because for the second year in a row, he faces one of his former partners from the tag team of Triple X. Last year was Primetime, this year as the wrestler formerly known as Low-Ki...one of the original pioneers of the X division. We all know what Christopher Daniels is made of & Senshi's style is similar to Tajiri's style (since both trained in Japan) so this was a real clash of styles but again, it's a nice wrestling match.
Arm Wrestling Contest - Konnan vs. "Bullet" Bob Armstrong:
Time for the wrestlecrap moment of the night but thankfully, they kept this one short. Bob wins the arm wrestling contest & that results in him & the James Gang getting to whip LAX with straps 10 times, it's funny in the beginning but the crowd starts to turn on it so they finish it quickly. It's funny at first but the jokes wears out quick. If you aren't normally entertained by the James Gang, press the skip buttom quick.
Xscape Match - Cris Sabin vs. Elix Skipper vs. Petey Williams vs. Shark Boy vs. Chase Stevens vs. Puma:
Same rules as the year before, it's an elimation match until the last two and then the first man out the cage wins. There were some great & highly impressive moments here (like Chase Stevens shooting star press from the top of the cage) with a funny ending but overall, I enjoyed last years better.
X Division Championship Match - Samoa Joe [Champion] vs. Sabu:
This match showed how much of a professional Sabu is. He already signed his WWE contract & was going into the match with a series of injuries (including broken bones) but yet still gave the best performance possible & put over Samoa Joe. It's because of Sabu's injuries that the match was kept short but it was still good concidering the circumstances...and unlike John Cena, Sabu didn't tap out to the Samoan Submission Machine.
Anthem Match - Team 3D vs. Team Canada
This was a glorified flag match and it was an alright match but really nothing special to write about. And don't worry, a majority of the Anthem signing happened when they were showing the video package for the next match.
NWA World Championship Match - Christain Cage [Champion] vs. Abyss:
This was a brutal match very similiar to the match last year Abyss had with Styles but Christian dished out the punishment as much as he took it. This wasn't the typical Abyss match with the thumbtack spots so that made this even more special. Again, just another great match.
Lethal Lockdown Match - Jeff Jarret, Scott Steiner, and America's Most Wanted vs. Sting, AJ Styles, Ron "The Truth" Killings, and Rhino:
This match was set under the old school War Games rules and honestly, was tons better than the Lockdown match they did last year. Team Jarrett always had the one man advantage (notice how in War Games history, the good guy team NEVER won the backstage coin toss?) The typical formula of the faces fighting from behind against the heels but once Sting enters, the top of the cage lowers & that's where the match gets interesting as AJ Styles & James Storm go to the top & AJ hits a splash from the celing of the room through Storm & a table.
This was a very unique match, one of the best of the night. First Chris Harris and Aj Styles would start the match, then every two minutes either a member of Jarret's or Sting's army would enter to help their team. When the final member entered, the roof of the cage would lower, along with a cache of weapons hanging from it. Sting ends up winning for his team in the end...it was a nice match for what it was but it didn't top the earlier performances in the night.
Bottom line, if your a fan of TNA...this is one DVD you wouldn't want to skip & if your just getting into TNA, this is a DVD showcases TNA better than Final Resolution (both years), Destination X & Against All Odds 2005 PPV releases did.
a really good pay per view from tna.......2006-08-10
im not going to say who is better tna or wwe cause i like both the reason i like tna even more now is cause of sting im glad they brought him back and im glad hes in tna cause in wwe they probably would of just wasted him and as far as lockdwn 2006 goes the matches that i thought were good were the world x cup preview match which had some good high flying moves from both teams and the fallen angel christopher daniels against his former partner senshi formly known as low ki and the xscape match another good match the anthem match was good too and the x division championship match was ok it was too short i would have liked to seen more action between sabu and samoa joe but it was still good and the two main events were the best matches of the whole night christian cage against abyss fantastic match and the lethal lockdown match another fantastic match to end a really good pay per view and im really glad sting is back and one more thing its show time folks
it's was good, but i expected more.......2006-07-07
i thought it would have been a stiff competition for wrestlemania, but not even close, but is a must see or must rent video, now let me give u the rundown
1)Team USA (Shelley, Lethal, Dutt) VS Team Japan (Black Tiger, Tanaka, and Goto)
it was a great entertaining non-stop action match, but from miscommunication with shelley, japan wins-4/5
2)christopher daniels vs ???
it turns out to be, formely know as lo-ki, senshi. it was kind of a boring match with some good spots, and senshi uses the ropes to pick up the victory- 2.5/5
3)arm wrestling contest- bullet bob armstrong with james gang vs konnan with LAX
ya like this one would be any good, and the loser gets whipped along with the team. konnan can't beat the old man so him and LAX get whipped, but there was humor when B.G. accidentally said billy to kip when whipping to early, and tenay says he jumped the gunn- 0/5
4)ultimate xscape match- sabin vs williams vs shark boy vs skipper vs stevens vs (japan) puma
it was a pretty good match, shark boy had to all the work in the begenning and was first eliminated, and funny stuff with d'more and simon, and nice shooting star from stevens off the cage. sabin and williams are last two left and sabin escapes and wins- 3/5
5)x-division title- (champ) samoa joe vs sabu
it was the return and last show for sabu who had a broken arm, partly chopped off finger and partially scalped head, so that's why the match was short. sabu used his chair tactics of throwing, leg drops, triple jump moonsaults, and also tried to use screwdriver or sonme kind of foreign weapon, but backfired and he gets bloodied up, and in the end got mustlebustered from the top rope and samoa joe wins-3.5/5
6)anthem match- Team 3D (brothr ray, d-von, runt) vs team canada (roode, young, a-1)
ok match, tables were involved which were cool, and 3D end up capturing the US flag-3.5/5
7)NWA title- (champ)christian cage vs abyss
this is one of the greatest matches i ever seen. they first battle outside the ring. then u see christian do the frog splash from the top of the cage, ref out, but abyss kicks out. the blackhole slam connects but christian kicks out. so abyss brings in tacks, but backfires when christian does a sunset flip bomb into the tacks to abyss and he kicks out again. abyss brings in two bags of tacks and backfires again when he gets unprettiered into them and christian finally wins. but then abyss chokes out christian with a chain and steals his belt- 5/5
8)lethal lockdown match- sting's warriors (sting, styles, truth, rhino) vs jeff's army (jarrett, steiner, AMW (tag champs)
order they came out- storm and aj, harris, rhino, jarrett, truth, steiner, sting- then the top came down with trash can lids, singapore canes, chairs, lead pipe, guitar, bat. sting got a stinger splash on everyone stacked up in the corner, steiner belly to bellyed and t-boned suplexed all, they did the tower of doom- aj getting double suplexed by harris and jarrett and the truth and rhino back dropped them with steiner and sting with the electric chair and storm powerbombed them/ it was hard for the camera to catch all the action when harris and aj went to the top, u can't see it but can tell truth did the axe kick on a chair and rhyno gets a gore in and everyone is battling to the death and aj puts harris on a table, they're on the outside on the top, and sets up a ladder and is all the way to the top of the building and does a splash all the way down, crashing through harris. storm tries for a scorpian deathlock on sting for the finish but sting reverses and storm taps out, and sting and his team prevail in a hellacious battle- 5/5
u don't have to buy it but the 2 main events are must sees for any wrestling fan, so if u have to buy it, so be it, i wouldn't but i spent more on ppv, so there

TNA Bound For Glory is a 4 star ppv.......2007-04-15
80-76%-perfect
75-71%-awsome
70-66%-good
65-61%-poor
60-56%-awful
1. The Kevin Nash Open Invintational X Divison Gauntlet Battle Royal- This was the right choice to kick off the show in my opinion. It was not amazing by any means but it was still a very solid fast pace opening contest. They gave this match enough time to develop at 17 minutes long. There were some but nice high flying spots but mostly just solid wrestling. Winner Alex Shely. Match Rating 7/10.
2. Four Corner Tag Tea match Team 3D vs. AMW vs. The James Gang vs. The Naturals- This was a decent match but it was deffenilty a step down from the first match of the evening. It seemed like a filler to me. They Kept it short which was nice. This match started out as a regular tag team match but it broke down into a tornado tag match. Some close near falls but team 3D got the win so that was a surprise. Winners Team 3D. Match Rating 6/10.
3. The Monster Ball Match Samoa Joe vs. Abyss vs. Runt vs. Raven- This was the first really good match of the evening. This was a step down form the first monster ball match but still very good. This was just a spot fest gallor. There were chairs, tacks, tables, and street signs. There were some nice table spots in the beginning of the match. There were some nice high flying spots including one were abyss hit a flying elbow drop off the top of the stage. There were also some really nice chair shots but the best part of the whole match was when Samoa Joe hit a Famaser like move on Abyss that sent him face first into the thumb tacks. A really good match that got your blood pumping. Winner Samoa Joe. Match Rating 8/10.
4. Loser gets Fired Match Eric Young vs. Larry Zbysko- I will say this match was terrible. I think they put this on the card so they could slow down the crowd after the monster ball match. This match was kept short at 4 minnutes long and basically only a one move and that was a shot to the back of the head by eric to larry with brass knucks. Winner Eric Young. Match Rating 1.5/10.
5. Senshi vs. Chris Sabin for the X-Division title- This was a start of really good matches to the ppv. The crowd was behind both people because it was sabins hometown. Just an okay match to start but it started to pick up. There were lots of high flying moves in this match. Including a suicide dive to the outside by sabin. Than came a set of near falls that you were almost sure were going to win the match. A rollup ended the match but a great match that got the crowd fired up and both men got a standing ovation after the match. Winner and new X-Division Champ Chris Sabin. Match Rating 8.5/10.
6. Christian Cage vs. Rhino in an 8 mile street fight- This was another solid match but I was expecting a little more form this match. It started off backstage a little boring but once they got to the ring the action picked up. There were tons of weapons including ladders, tables, street signs, and chairs. There was na sick moment were rhino gored Christian gored rhino through a table. Also rhino hit a jumping piledriver through a table on the outside. In the end Christian hit a unpreietter on a broken table to get the win. Winner Christian Cage. Match Rating 8.5/10.
7. Christopher Danials and AJ Styles vs. LAX in a sic sides of steel match for the tag team titles- This was an awesome match and a match of the year candidate. This was a great fued with both teams having one win over each other already. There was a lot of blood spilled in this match. This match started out like a regaular tag match but it soon broke down. LAX brought some sort of knife into the ring and started stabbing Danials with it. There was a nice hurricanrana form the top rope but nothing will beat the move AJ pulled off a cross body form the top of the cage on LAX. At the end one member of LAX hit a sick move on AJ for the pin. Winners and new TNA tag team champs LAX. Match Rating 9.5/10.
8. Jeff Jarret vs. Sting with special enforcer Kurt Angle for the TNA title- This was not a classic by any means but it was still a solid match. A lot of this had to do with Kurt Angle being in the match as the crowd was jacked up all night. Jarret started off the match controlling most of it was taken outside but kurt did his job and kept the match in the ring. There was a ref bump and Jarret hit sting with the gatar but it did not affect him and angle came in the ring and attacked jarret. Winner and new tna champ Sting. Match Rating 7.5/10.
Well that raps up another I would give TNA bound for glory a grade of a 56.5/80 which is a 71% which means this is an awesome ppv. If u can tell me if my review was helpful or not I would appreciate that thanks for your time.
sick!!!.......2007-04-04
Tna bound for glory is Tnas wrestlemania, they had many great matches, the open invatental was one of my favirtes and the monsters ball.
A home run... not a grand slam though..........2007-02-23
-A great PPV put on a TNA wrestling, this is their "Wrestlemania" and is live (or as live as DVD can be) from Detroit, MI (actually Plymouth, MI, but they keep saying Detroit, so I'll go with that).
-Nice opening video package, great way to hype the main events of the PPV and we go to Detroit, I mean Plymouth or whatever.
-The Kevin Nash Open Invitational X Division Gauntlet Battle Royal: Despite having a title almost as long as the introduction to "WWE's Royal Rumble", this was a good match actually. The idea of this match is 2 wrestlers start out, then every 60 seconds another wrestler appears and elimination occurs by being thrown over the top rope to the floor. When there are two men left a referee will come in and the last fall will be decided by pinfall or submission.
-The list of wrestlers are: Austin Starr, Sonjay Dutt, "Maverick" Matt Bentley, Jay Lethal, A-1, Zach Gowen, Kazarian, Sirelda, Shark Boy, Alex Shelley, D-Ray 3000, Johnny Devine, "Primetime" Elix Skipper, "Short Sleeve" Sampson (a midget), Norman Smiley, Petey Williams and Referee Slick Johnson, who lasts about 10 seconds.
-Good match had by all, plenty of high flying moves, except by A-1 and Sirelda, geez she's huge and odd looking, like a bigger Steffi Graf. Takes a few minutes for anyone to be eliminated, then they start coming fairly often, the most noteable though was Sirelda barely lasting more than 30 seconds. The action comes pretty fast though not as fast as other X-Division matches. Wicked and sick Canadian Destroyer by Williams. The last two men are Jay Lethal and Austin Starr (whose lasted from the beginning) and Starr wins quickly after with his starstruck brainbuster for the pinfall. Match lasted about 17 minutes. 9/10.
-Four Corners Tag Team Match: Team 3D vs. America's Most Wanted vs. The James Gang vs. The Naturals: Shane Douglas introduces the Naturals and every team makes their entrance and all these entrances are almost as long as the match itself. Not a bad match though, pretty fast paced. A few highlights are Brother Ray and B.G. James doing tandem bionic elbows on both AMW members and a tower of doom suplex with The Naturals and AMW. The best part of the match is the about minute long one-uping by all the wrestlers, as one man hits a move then gets hit by another and that guy gets hit by a move too. The finish comes when Team 3D hits the 3D on Andy Douglas of the Naturals for the win in about 7 minutes. 8/10.
-Monster's Ball: Abyss vs. Samoa Joe vs Brother Runt vs Raven w/Special Referee Jake "The Snake" Roberts: Nice interview segment beforehand with Jake Roberts, creepy, but cool. Highlights include a flipping corkscrew dive by Joe on all three men and he lands on his feet, Runt being thrown from the scaffolding onto a part of the stage and the following elbow drop by Runt onto Abyss. Also Joe being thrown through a table by Raven and Joe hits a senton splash on Abyss who goes face first into the tacks. Jake Roberts gets a DDT in on Raven and Joe hits the Musclebuster on Raven for the pinfall in about 11 minutes. Good hardcore match, better than the first one at Victory Road '04, but not as good as the second one at last years Bound For Glory. 8/10.
-Loser Gets Fired: Eric Young vs. Larry Zbyszko: Pretty pointless one here, Larry was going to leave TNA so this was a way to write him off. Funny stuff with Young getting a reaction from the crowd everytime he pointed at himself then boos when he pointed at Larry. About 2 minutes pass before they lock up then a minute later Young hits Larry with some brass knucks for the win. 2/10, for the funny Eric stuff.
-Jim Cornette announcement: Basically hyping up the Angle/Joe rivalry. Joe and Angle get into it and Joe is removed from the building.
Not a bad segment.
-X-Division Championship: Chris Sabin vs. Senshi (Champion): Good X-Title match, though there is more wrestling holds then I thought there would be. Loved the submission moves Senshi used throughout the match to ground Sabin. Nice suicide dive by Sabin through the ropes onto Senshi on the outside. Great delayed dropkick by Sabin in the corner on Senshi. The finish came when Sabin reversed a dragon sleeper into a small package for the win in about 12 minutes. New X-Division champion Chris Sabin. 8/10.
-Great interview by Christian, slamming Rhino and Detroit, great heat getter.
-8 Mile Street Fight: "The War Machine" Rhino vs. Christian Cage: Great hardcore match, better than Monster's Ball. Both men start outside the arena and fight there way inside, loved the spot where Rhino drives a zamboni with Cage on the roof and knocked him off of it, brought back memories of Austin v. McMahon in '97. Rhino basically dominates for the first couple of minutes then Cage takes over. Lots of weapon use, including a street sign, some steel chairs, a ladder and couple of tables. Christian even ties a straight jacket on Rhino. Great Rhino driver on Christian through a table on the outside. The finish comes when Christian piles steel chairs, the road sign, a broken table and a ladder on Rhino then slams him repeatedly with another steel chair then pins him for the win in about 15 minutes. 10/10.
-Nice interview segment with LAX, mainly Konnan talking about what LAX will do to AJ & Daniels. Great talker that Konnan.
-Six Sides of Steel for the World Tag Team Championships: LAX w/ Konnan vs. AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels (Champions): Great cage match, plenty of high spots including a tower of doom with everyone but AJ followed by a sick splash off the top of the cage by AJ. Some brutal spots like Homicide using a fork on Daniels and using a coat hanger on Daniels. The finish comes when Hernandez hit AJ with a vicious clothesline that allowed Homicide to hit the Gringo Killer (man that's a sick move) on AJ for the win in about 15 minutes. New Tag Team Champions LAX. 9/10.
-NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Title vs. Career Match: Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett (Champion) w/Special Enforcer Kurt Angle: All three men make their entrances, Sting's is pretty cool in the sense that he looks way different as he lost about 20 pounds during his two month hiatus prior to this match. Liked the fact that the crowd booed Jarrett a lot but also booed Sting some too.
-This is a pretty basic main event actually, Jarrett does most of the work, at one point Angle hits the referree with his patented slam and takes over as the ref for the match. Sting makes a bit of the comeback, but Jarrett gets Sting in the figure-four leg lock, then slaps on the ankle lock right in front of Angle. Sting reverses out and gets Jarrett outside of the ring. Sting goes for his bat, Angle stops him and Jarrett sneaks up and hits the guitar over Sting's head. But Sting no sells it and puts Jarrett in the Scorpion Daeth Lock for the win in about 15 minutes. New NWA Champion Sting. 5/10. Major league pop for the no sell of the guitar shot and the finish.
Great PPV overall, despite the Loser get's fired match and the semi-sleep inducing main event. Well worth the price of about $15-20.
A Great PPV.......2007-02-16

Great PPV, just maybe a couple of duds...........2007-03-09
The preshow for TNA's Genesis starts up, with Shane Douglas and Jeremy Borash running down the card and hyping the major star coming to TNA at Genesis.
-Shark Boy vs. Nigel McGuinness: Decent opening match, quick one though. Nigel mocks Shark Boy after hitting some nice moves and starts working on his arm. Nice headstand into a back kick by Nigel and a hammerlock into a DDT on Shark Boy. Then Shark Boy fights back, with punches and a bulldog from the second rope. Nice suplex from the top by Nigel. The finish comes when Shark Boy gets a roll up on Nigel for the win in about 6 minutes. 6/10.
-Team Canada segment hyping the six sided hockey stick and the X-Division Championship matches on the PPV tonight.
-Diamonds in the Rough vs. The Naturals & Lance Hoyt: Not a bad one here, Elix Skipper starts out taking down Hoyt with punches and a nice back kick. Hoyt comes back with a one armed overhead slam and punches in the corner. Nice flip by Andy Douglas onto David Young and Skipper over the top rope on the outside, followed by a splash over the ropes by Hoyt.
The Diamonds take over, with Skipper exploiting Chase Stevens injured head. Hoyt gets the tag, hits a nice dropkick then a double chokeslam on Young and Skipper. The finish comes when Skipper and Young hit a double face buster on Stevens for the win in about 6 minutes. 6/10.
-The PPV starts with a tribute to Eddie Guerrero who passed away early that day.
-Now a great video package hyping the main events of Genesis.
-Live in the Impact Zone, there are some Eddie chants then we start with our first match.
-Raven vs. PJ Polaco: The former Justin Credible puts on an okay show here, it's a decent match just not very good. Polaco uses some submission holds and knees to the back. Raven gets a break when Cassidy Riley comes in and takes a cane shot to the head. Raven comes back hitting a couple of clotheslines then an ankle lock. Polaco fights out of it and hits a bad looking DDT. The finish comes when Raven hits the Raven Effect DDT for the win in about 6 minutes. 5/10.
-Six Sided Hockey Stick Match: 3 Live Kru vs. Team Canada w/ Special Referee Kip James: Nice Eddie tribute by Konnan before the match, followed by Eddie chants from the crowd. The idea is you must be the legal man to grab a hockey stick and use it. The match isn't really that good, though the stuff with Kip James and Eric Young was funny. Nice move by Konnan throwing his sneaker at Young's chest, looked like it hurt. All six men keep trying to go for the hockey sticks, but are stopped from using them. The match breaks down as all six men brawl and the finish comes when Konnan and B.G. hold a hockey stick over the stomach and other areas of Young as The Truth hits a leg drop off the top rope for the win. 5/10.
-Next a nice promo by James Mitchell telling Sabu what will happen to him when he gets in the ring with Abyss, cool segment.
-Next the debut of Christian Cage: Huge, I mean huge pop from the crowd. Great promo by Cage as he runs down WWE, but mostly praises TNA. Coach D'Amore of Team Canada comes down with Bobby Roode and tries to get Cage to join them, he even hands Cage a Team Canada t-shirt. Cage says it looks like the right size, but he'll need some time to see if it's the right fit. 10/10 for the segment.
-Contender's Match: Monty Brown vs. Jeff Hardy: Great promo before the match by Brown, pretty funny. The match itself is not that bad, but not that good. Hardy's mocking of Brown was funny, early on in the match. Brown uses plenty of power moves and Hardy uses his high flying moves to try and win. Hardy tight rope walks part of the Impact Zone and hits a clothesline on Brown. Brown takes over for a bit, but Hardy fights back and hits a Twist of Fate and goes for the Swanton, but misses. The finish comes when Brown hits the Pounce for the win in about 9 minutes. 6/10.
-Elimination X: Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Alex Shelley & Roderick Strong vs. Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt, Austin Aries & Matt Bentley: Done WWE "Survivor Series" style, once your pinned or submit your eliminated and the match goes until all four members of one team is eliminated. The match is great, plenty of high flying moves by everyone, except Shelley who uses nice submission moves and Joe who hits plenty of power moves. I love the trio of moves by Joe, an inverted atomic drop, a diving front kick and a senton splash. Loved the triple dives by Aries, Dutt and Sabin onto the outside. No one is eliminated until about 12 minutes into the match, when Aries hits a 450 splash off the top onto Strong for the pin, then Aries is rolled up by Daniels about 25 seconds after that. Dutt hits a nice arm drag on on Shelley while also hitting a hurricarana on Daniels from the top rope. Shelly then gets Dutt in a crossface hold and Dutt taps out. Soon after Bentley hits a superkick on Shelley for the pin. Great tower of doom, with Joe hitting a powerbomb while Sabin and Sabin superplex Daniels. Bentley gets up on Daniels shoulders, then Joe slaps him and hits the Musclebuster and Kokina Clutch on Bentley for the tap out. Sabin is the only one left, but he makes the most of it and almost eliminates both Daniels and Joe on several occasions. Joe has Sabin in the Musclebuster, but Bentley pulls Joe to the outside, then Daniels hits the Angels Wings for the pin in about 23 minutes. 11/10. Great postmatch stuff with Joe brutally beating Daniels and busting him open, with a chair and a facewash kick into the steel guard rail. Then he hits a Musclebuster on Daniels, Joe then grabs a chair and hits another Musclebuster on the chair. AJ even comes out after this to see if Daniels is okay, which leads to a match at the following PPV, Turning Point.
-No DQ Match: Sabu vs. Abyss: Sabu teases having barbwire on his arm to psych out Abyss. Good match actually, Sabu uses the chair a lot and hits some splashes on the outside onto Abyss, including a leg drop splash onto Abyss through a table. Abyss uses plenty of power moves and even appears to break Sabu's nose. Abyss has a bag of thumbtacks, while Sabu has a chair wrapped in barbwire, but James Mitchell stops Sabu from using the chair. Abyss chokeslams Sabu onto the pile of tacks, and a lot of tacks stick into his back. Abyss goes for the pin, but Sabu kicks out, then Abyss goes for a splash and lands right on the tacks. Sabu goes for the Camel Clutch but Abyss grabs the rope. The finish comes when Abyss hits the Black Hole Slam onto the barbwire chair for the win in about 10 minutes. 8/10.
-X-Division Championship: AJ Styles (Champion) vs. Petey Williams: Nice promo from AJ, talking about this match, but also what Joe did to Daniels earlier. This one was much, much better than their match at Victory Road the year before. Great moves by both men, great flip dive by AJ onto Williams on the outside, and AJ goes into the crowd over the guard rail as he does the dive. Williams hits a vicious german suplex on AJ on the outside slamming AJ into the guard rail. Williams starts working on AJ's back and chest, with kicks and submission moves. AJ comes back and hits the pele kick and a nice hurricarana. More back and forth moves by both men, then Williams lock on a Sharpshooter, but AJ gets to the ropes, then hits a springboard forearm shot on Williams. The finish comes when AJ hits the Styles Clash on Williams from the second rope as Joe looks on from the stage for the win in about 18 minutes. 10/10.
-Next a promo from Rhino and Team 3D, hyping the six man revenge main event up next. All three men do a nice tribute to Eddie Guerrero to end the segment.
-Six Man Revenge Match: Jeff Jarrett & America's Most Wanted vs. Rhino & Team 3D: Great brawl by all six men, very much like the old ECW and a lot closer than anything WWE has tried to do with WWECW. The match starts out in the crowd and stays there for a few minutes and there's plenty of hardcore action from all six men. Brother Devon brawls with Harris and Ray brawls with Storm. Rhino uses a garbage can on Jarrett and press slams him onto a chair. Jarrett does Irish Whip Rhino into a bunch of chairs. Rhino tries to gore Jarrett through a table set up at the entrance way, but Storm stops it. Devon busts open Harris and Ray busts open Storm using a cheese grater. The brawling continues and eventually the match gets back into the ring. The table comes into play, but AMW stops it from being used on several occasions. AMW and Jarrett do take over for a while. The finish comes when Team 3D hits the 3D on Storm for the win in about 15 minutes. 11/10. Post match has Jarrett, AMW and Team Canada attack all three men, until Cage comes down and looks like he's coming in for the save. But he takes off his jacket to reveal the Team Canada t-shirt, but he then hits the Unprettier on Coach D'AMore, then throws Jarrett off the top rope. Cage then hits a 3D on Jarrett through the table with both members of Team 3D lifting up Jarrett for Cage. Great finish for a great PPV.
The extras include numerous backstage footage of TNA stars before they make their ways to the ring. The best one though is after the PPV went off the air, when Cage, Rhino and Team 3D pay tribute to Eddie, bring a fan into the ring (I think Devon's daughter) and praise TNA. Cage finishes by saying he will become NWA champion. Great segment, 10/10.
One of the best PPV's I've seen in a long time despite the few dud matches.

NUMBER 1 CONTENDERS MATCH
JEFF HARDY vs MONTY BROWN GOOD MATCH BUT I DON'T LIKE IT WHEN TNA HAS CONTENDER MATCH BECAUSE THE WINNER DOSEN'T GET A SHOT FOR LIKE 3 MONTHS BUT THIS WAS A PREETY GOOD MATCH 8/10

OVERALL THIS IS A GOOD PPV TO GET I AM STILL A WWE FAN TO THE BONE BUT THIS DVD BY TNA IS SOMETHING NEW AND NOT JUST WWE ALL THE TIME PLUS THEIR ARE LIKE 45 MINUTES OF BOUNS FOOTAGE AND SADLY THIS WAS THE DAY THE EDDIE GUERRERO PAST AWAY AND THIS WAS WHEN CHRISTAIN CAGE CAME TO TNA
First two matches were not so good, the rest of the PPV rocks.......2006-11-24
The Raven match was horrible. PJ looked like he did not care. It was sloppy and the timing was like Hogan vs. Warrior II in WCW. The hockey stick match could have been better. It was boring to watch. After these matches the PPV gets it stars. THe Christian Cage promo was from the heart. The X-Division Elimination match was great as always. Great Main event. I would buy the disk, just skip the above mentioned matches.
TNA = WRESTLING.......2006-08-03
Yeah, after 4 YEARS...HHH finally stepped down but who replaced him? John Cena, you know the good guy who's always getting booed & only knows 4 moves. Jarrett has more wrestling ability in one fart than Cena does and at least Jarrett doesn't have to resort to fart jokes just to get a reaction from people.
This is a list of the things that deter me from TNA:
1. Yeah & ECW's is perfect?
2. Please, Cena was a champ long than Jarrett & he sucks
3. How so? You want stealing thunder, watch DX & the McMahon's
4. Sting, Nash, Dudley Boyz, Christian, Steiner...enough said. Funny though since all those guys you named QUIT WWE!
5. Sabin is in the top X division angle, Styles is a champion, and Brown was injured. What was your point again?
6. They remember that WRESTLING comes first in a WRESTLING PROMOTION!
This a list of things that makes me prefer WWE:
1. Wow, a Champion of a division with only 2 other girls who can WRESTLE! At least TNA give their cruserweights more than 1 match a month & has a tag division with more than 2 teams. And again, Mysterio's title reign was CRAP!
2. Yeah, the owner showing his butt all the time & using Eddie Guerrero's name for nothing more than a cheap pop is very entertaining
3. Yet they're jobbed out to Big Show, Mark Henry (if you can remember, he's been around since you were 4) & Khali...Again, Mysterio's title reign was pathetic!
4. I'll take Jarrett over Cena everyday of the week.
5. One full of non-stop talk & acting for two hours, one full of vampires & girls who can't strip while jobbing out the old ECW alumini, and a two hour waste of space full of midget wrestlers, guy eating worms, & a World Champion who can't win a match.
6. Yeah, "God" in a wrestling match was great. Cena ALWAYS WINNING for a year was very SUPRIZING!
Now kid, go spin Cena's belt & watch your WWE. If people want us to debating this on this crap...tell these WWE fans to quit coming into our reviews & screwing them up.

1. Sabu vs. Abyss in s Barbed Wire Massacre Match- I will have to say this was not the best one on one wrestling match but you have got to give it up for these two guys for putting there bodies on the line. This was a hard match to watch to imagin the pain that these two went through was amazing. There were some average spots to start the match with there bodies going into the barbwire and there was a sweet spot were Sabu hit a suicide dive over the top rope barbwire. They brought in some barbwire boards and Sabu drove Abyss into them and than sandwiched him into them and hit a Arabian face buster for the win sick stuff here. Winner Sabu. Match Rating 8/10.
2. Matt Bentley and Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelly and Roderick Strong- This was a awesome match to fallow the last one up. A total opposite and it turned out to be great. This was just a high flying match and a fast pace match the way the X-Division was supposed to be. Not a whole lot to say about this match other than it had a lot of near falls and just a bunch of fun to watch. Winners Matt Bentley and Austin Aries. Match Rating 8/10.
3. Raven vs. Chris K- This was just a filler match. I liked the whole idea of how the were making a big war between raven and Larry because Raven never got a rematch for the title that he was screwed out of. That is all good but the match was just not to good because of how old both these guys are. I will say they tried hard and it was not to bad. Almost a brawl sort of and there was a nice moment were Raven hit a power bomb on the chair. Winner Raven. Match Rating 5/10.
4. The 4Live Crew vs. Team Canada- This match was an okay match this seemed like another filler. This also had a good storyline to it because of the 4Live crew history. This was just a solid wrestling match not to long which was good kept short. The nice part of the match was when Konan hit Kip James in the head with a chair and turned on the team great stuff and a big surprise. Winners Team Canada. Match Rating 6/10.\
5. The Diamonds in the rough vs. Sonjay Dutt, Chris Sabin, and Dale Torborg in a Baseball Brawl match- This was a match that I really enjoyed watching. Again this was almost a sort of X-Division type of match. A lot of people say that they don't like the baseball stars in TNA but I think they help them. Just a lot of fast pace high flying moves and some nice spots for A.J. Persiznski. Good stuff. Winners Sonjay Dutt, Chris Sabin, and Dale Torborg. Match Rating 7.5/10.
6. Monty Brown vs. Christian Cage a contenders match- This match had a great storyline and a lot of hype behind it was good but it could have been better. This was just a solid wrestling match with almost all of it controlled by brown. The one thing that I really did not like was brown controlled a lot of the match and than with basically with one move cage won the match. Still very solid and a fun start. Match Rating 7.5/10.
7. Americas Most Wanted vs. Team 3D in a tables match- This was just another solid match but It was more fun cause of the table aspect. There was some solid action including a lot of nice table spots and there were a few sick chair shots. There were a lot of spots were you thought that the team was going to put the other person through the table and they moved the table out of the way. Just a fun match to watch and some nice table spots as well. Winners Team 3D. Match Rating 7.5/10.
8. A.J. Styles vs. Samoa Joe for the X-Division title- This was easily the match of the night and a match of the year candidate. This was when Joe had just turned heel so there was a lot of bad blood going into this match and the crowd loved it. Also at this time Joe still had a undefeated streak on the line. The match started with A.J. controlling it but than Joe fought back. He nailed styles with tons of kicks to the face. There was just a lot of high flying moves and near falls including when Styles hit his finisher on Joe but Joe kicked out. Just a great match enjoyed by all. Winner and new X-Division champ Samoa Joe. Match Rating 9.5/10.
9. Jeff Jarret vs. Rhino for the NWA title- This was a decent main event. I would have rather seen Joe styles in the main event but this was still very good. They had a few matches before this but this was about the same. Not much to say just a average main event but nothing to bad tough to watch Jarret win again. Winner and still NWA champ Jeff Jarret. Match Rating 7/10.
Well that raps up another. I would give Turning Point 2005 a grade of 66/90 which means this is a awesome PPV. There was nothing awful on this card and a match of the year candidate. SO I think you should pick this up. If you can tell me if my review was helpful or not I would appreciate that. Thanks for your time.

BARBED WIRE MASSACRE.......2007-01-25
I assume that this item is referring to 2005 edition of Turning Point because the release date on this product is November 28, 2006 and the event didn't happen until December. How could the DVD be released before the actual event happened?
Anyways, Turning Point 2005 was another good showing of PPV's from Total Non-Stop Action as this PPV had a mix of things for everyone's taste.
Barbed Wire Massacre: Sabu vs. Abyss - This match was just sick as you see moments like Sabu getting dropped on his neck into the barbed wire and Abyss squished inbetween two barbed wire boards. It's not as distubring as Sabu's last two barbed wire matches (Hardcore Homecoming & vs. Terry Funk) but it still leaves an impression.
Matt Bentley & Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelley & Roderick Strong - You can't go wrong with an X division tag team match & this is no exception as they're always right on the money.
Raven vs. Chris K. (Kanyon) - Again, just another wrestling match from Raven that really got dull at times with the inring storytelling from Raven & didn't do a good job of following up the previous matches.
4Life Kru vs. Team Canada - This match was just a backdrop to the big story of Konnan's heel turn & the breakup of the Kru which was being set up for months.
Basebrawl: Sonjay Dutt, Chris Sabin, Dale Torborg (a.k.a. The Demon from WCW) w/White Sox member AJ Pierzynski vs. Diamonds In The Rough - The match itself was good as you can't miss with Sabin & Dutt while the Diamonds are very underrated wrestlers. Bobby Heenan returns to commentary & he didn't miss a step.
Christian Cage vs. Monty Brown - This was better than their rematch at Destination X months later as Christian was able to work with Monty (which is no secret that he's limited in what he can do in the ring) to bring forth a great match.
Tables Match: AMW vs. Team 3D - Eventhough the DVD case says this was a title match, it wasn't. This was the best showing between these two teams as they brawled & wrestled while coming up with creative ways to set up & move the tables during the match.
X Division Champion AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe - It's no secret that the series between these two & Christopher Daniels were the talk of professional wrestling for a year & this match was no exception. AJ had a chunk of his lip busted open & still fought hard against Samoa Joe. The match of the night no questions asked.
NWA Champion Jeff Jarrett vs. Rhino - This match was the sterotypical formula of a Jarrett match. Wrestling, a big brawl throughout the arena, and an overload of outside interference. The match with the wrestling & brawling was actually very well but the match took a turn for the worst when ALL members of Team Canada kept interfearing in the end to cost Rhino the match. However, the big suprize here at the end was the tease of Sting coming to TNA with his bat, coat, and boots left in the middle of the ring.
Bottom line is that again, there wasn't a bad match here & it had something for everyone so I highly recommend this PPV from TNA.
Average customer rating:
- Return of Sting and some good matches
- not a bad ppv

Return of Sting and some good matches.......2006-11-24
The main event is worth the money for this disk. THe match was good but the crowd was really into it. Team 3D vs. AMV was a great match until the end. I thought it was quite frankly stupid. It made no sense to me. There are better ways to get Team Canada to fued with Team 3D. Rest of the card was good. Could have been better.
not a bad ppv.......2006-05-31
this wasn't a great ppv or a bad one either. stings return to wrestling might help tna's ratings, but in this wrestlings fan mind how long does he stay around before he decides to leave again to sepnd time with his family full time. As for the fans chanting that he still has it, i won't believe it until he wrestles a few singles matches against better talent like aj styles, christopher daniels and samoa joe.
STING IN TNA!!!!!.......2006-05-28
TNA's January 2006 PPV Final Resolution is showcased by the wrestling return of the Icon, the man called Sting. Final Resolution 2006 is a pretty good PPV. Some quality matches, some not so good matches. That's the formula for a lot of PPV's. I won't go into every match on the card, but some of the better matches are AJ Styles vs. Tanahashi, Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels and of course Sting/Christian Cage vs. Jeff Jarrett/Monty Brown.
Overall, a decent PPV with a great main event. Sting's return to wrestling is awesome. This is the top match on the PPV. I literally could not wait to see Sting come down that rampway and it was eveything I thought it was going to be and more. Sting did not look that bad either for his age and time away from the ring. As the crowd chanted to Sting "YOU STILL GOT IT" and I would have to agree. Sting didn't have any ring rust.
I highly recommend this PPV for any TNA fan and especially if you are a Sting fan. I've followed TNA Wrestling since they debuted in Nashville, TN in 2002. I'm happy they were to sign such an icon as Sting. I only rated this PPV 4 stars because the overall card could of been better. Seeing Sting back in professional wrestling alone is well worth the $15. Keep up the good work TNA.
A loyal fan
TNA slowly becoming WCW.......2006-05-21
Sting? Big Poppa Pump? Jeff Jarrett? Even brought Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell in for an appearence. I can only imagine Booker T jumping ship soon. X-division says the league who refuses to tour the states. I went to see them in Florida and it was alright. They really try hard to get the crowd pumped up for the show. Yea they wrestle more then WWE but they need story lines. TNA the future? Maybe if you want the wrestling future to be anther WCW.
tna best matches.......2006-05-07
final resoution was kinda one of the best pay per views in tna.raven vs sean waitman.was a most hardcore match of the night.if both of those guys were bleeding that should go in the best of the bloodiest brawls which i havent saw yet.aj styles vs tanahashi was a cool x divison match.amw vs team 3d was a cool match that should have new tag champs.it stink when team canada helped amw.GO BACK TO CANADA?Somoa joe vs christopher daniels was very brutal.JOE DO THINK THIS IS A HARDCORE MATCH?It was good that aj styles threw in the towel.Sting and christian cage took down jeff jarret and monty brown A COOL PAY PER VIEW DEBUT FOR STING.
