Customer Reviews:
Hammer Productions- 6 Legendary Classics of Gothic Horror!.......2007-04-26
The legendary British film studio, Hammer Productions began its climb to the top of the horror film genre with its Technicolor release of "The Curse of Frankenstein." Teaming Peter Cushing with Christopher Lee for the first time- the result is pure movie magic and the beginning of what was to become a beautiful friendship. As well as a great time for movie going gothic horror fans as Hammer began churning out one classic after another. This set of Hammer horror includes:
"The Curse of Frankenstein" (1957)
Baron Victor Von Frankenstein, (Peter Cushing) is in prison for murder and trying to evade the guillotine. While there he tells a priest how he and his mentor, Paul Krempe, (Robert Urquhart) had performed many scientific experiments, eventually leading to the resurrection of a dead body. Due to an accident, that damages the brain intended for Frankenstein's creation, the experiment goes horribly wrong. Instead of the intelligent being Frankenstein set out to create- a hideous monster (Christopher Lee) rises from the laboratory table! The baron's obsession and the monster's homicidal nature cause the deaths of several of those around them. Finally the Baron is confronted by an enraged monster about to throw Victor's fiancée Elizabeth, (Hazel Court) from the castle parapet. The DVD release has a clean transfer and the audio is vibrant. Great use of color and the studio sets and costuming are used to full advantage to set the gothic atmosphere to perfection. The beginning of Hammer's rise to the top of the Horror genre and the first of many classics to come!
"Dracula Has Risen From The Grave" (1968)
When his castle is exorcised, Dracula (Christopher Lee) plots his revenge against the Monsignor (Rupert Davies) who performed the rites by attempting to make the Holy man's young niece, Maria (Veronica Carlson) his bride. Great story and very enjoyable performances by the entire cast make this entry in Hammer's `Dracula" series a real treat!
"Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed!" (1969)
Baron Frankenstein (Peter Cushing) is once again working with illegal medical experiments. Together with a young doctor, Karl Holst (Simon Ward) and his fiancée Anna Spengler (Veronica Carlson) they kidnap the mentally sick Dr. Brandt, (George Pravda) to perform the first brain transplant ever!
"Horror of Dracula" (1958)
After Jonathan Harker (John Van Eussen) attacks Dracula (Christopher Lee) at his castle, the vampire travels to a nearby city, where he preys on the family of Harker's fiancée. The only one who may be able to protect them is Dr. Van Helsing, (Peter Cushing) Harker's friend and fellow-student of vampires, who is determined to destroy Dracula, whatever the cost! The first in Hammer's "Dracula" series and possibly "the best" gothic vampire movie ever made! Lush visuals, great atmospheric music and studio sets, along with outstanding cast performances make this Hammer's crowning jewel of gothic horror!
"The Mummy" (1959)
Three British archeologists (including Peter Cushing) discover the grave of an important Egyptian female priestess (Yvonne Furneaux) who has died about four millennia ago. But when they open it a bad curse falls on them for having woken up the mighty "Guard of the Grave" (Christopher Lee) who was buried with the priestess. Hammer once again proved its ability to bring a classic horror story to vibrant life! "The Mummy" is perfectly wonderful in it's story telling, costuming, studio sets, and the cast performances are superb!
"Taste the Blood of Dracula" (1970)
Three elderly distinguished gentlemen are searching for some excitement in their boring lives and get in contact with one of count Dracula's servants (Ralph Bates). During a nightly ceremony they restore The Count (Christopher Lee) back to life. The three men kill Dracula's servant, and for revenge the Count makes sure that the gentlemen are killed one by one by their own sons. An original ideal for Hammer's `Dracula" series makes this one quite enjoyable. Ralph Bates really puts in a fine performance as Dracula's devoted servant- he's so believable!
"THE HAMMER HORROR COLLECTION" is a great box containing some of the Production Studios finest. If only a volume 2 or even a volume 3 would have followed! Hammer Studios truly set the bench mark for the gothic horror genre, and as of yet, no other studio has come close to meeting Hammer's success!
oldie but goodie.......2007-01-10
I have wished for this series for a long time. I got it at a reasonable price in a very short time.
Killer Hammer Collection.......2006-12-13
You cannot go wrong with Hammer Horror of any type, however, this collection beats all the other Hammer collection thats out there today. If you want great horror, then this collection is the best to start off with any true Hammer fan. Cushing and Lees best work to date. Highly Recommended!!
When horror films had stories........2006-05-14
In the last 25 years, we've been bombarded with horror films designed to shock rather than scare. We have Jason, a mindless murderer back from the grave, Freddie, a murderer who haunts our dreams, and Chucky, a little doll who likes to kill people. I'm not saying these newer films are bad. They're just not as good as the older ones.
Case in point, the horror films released by England's Hammer studios from the late 50s into the 70s. All of these films have villains, murderers and shock. But they also have interesting stories. They're not mindless.
This gem of a collection is a great starting point for somebody interested in owning Hammer horror films. There are other Hammer films out there besides these, but these are some of the best.
The Curse of Frankenstein. This is where it all started. Peter Cushing is excellent in his sinister portrayal as Victor Frankenstein, and Christopher Lee is an admirable monster.
The Horror of Dracula. Peter Cushing is back, and is great this time around as Van Helsing. Christopher Lee plays the infamous count for the first time.
The Mummy. This is the best remake of the Boris Karloff original. Lee stars again, this time as Kharis, a resurrected mummy out for revenge against those who desecrated his beloved Ananka's ancient tomb. Peter Cushing is one of the people he wants to get even with.
Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed. Perhaps Cushing's most sinister stint as Dr. Frankenstein, this time stopping at nothing to make history in the science of brain transplants.
Dracula Has Risen From the Grave. Lee's third stint as the evil count, this time using a priest to exercise his agenda of death and destruction.
Taste the Blood of Dracula. Lee's fourth go-around as the blood-sucking monster, this time seeking revenge against the three men who murdered his disciple.
All of these films are beautifully presented in anamorphic widescreen. The colors, particularly the red, stand out.
the rebirth of gothic horror at the movies.......2006-04-22
this fantastic collection of the best hammer horror movies is just what the true horror movie fan has been waiting for. from frankenstein, dracula, and the mummy you get them all. while the hammer frankenstein movies are fun and i love them,i think the dracula films are the best the studio ever did. the dracula's always had the greatest deaths for the count and the one's in this set are the best. the one shot cushing&lee mummy is also one of the best mummy movies ever(right behind karloff's mummy)and a true treat. the transfers are great and the colors,so important to the hammer movies are like new. set back and let some of the masters of horror show you how it should be done.

Dracula Has Risen from the Grave is the third Christopher Lee Dracula film from Hammer Studios. While trying to rid the former Dracula's Castle of evil after the mysterious death of a local girl, the Monsignor inadvertently raises the dark prince from his deathly slumber. Once awaken from the grave, the parched prince only has one thing on his mind, the yummy taste of blood which he fiendishly extracts from the local maidens. Though a little weak in plot, Dracula Has Risen from the Grave still comes off as a strong vampire film, delivering the goods on the gothic visuals, eerie sets, and Lee's performance. --Rob Bracco
Description
When the niece of a prominent clergyman becomes Dracula's victim, the monsignor vows to put a stop to Dracula's deadly ways.
Customer Reviews:
The first Hammer film I saw.......2006-11-01
I was like 10/11 and it was on one of the old cable "superstations." I had always loved old monster movies, but this was like Dracula on speed for me as a kid. As I've grown, I have amassed a large Hammer film library and was delighted to see this out on DVD. It's easily one of my favorites. For the newcomer to Hammer films, they all move fairly 'liesurely' (read, 'slow') and are driven by lots of exposition. But, to me, that plus the settings, cinematography and high-class acting really gives the Hammer films a special class that other horror films severely lack. I recommend this one highly.
Christopher Lee could replace his predecessor Bela Lugosi as Count.......2006-09-26
Christopher Lee could balance and continue his charismatic predecessor Bela Lugosi(1882 - 1956) in the 60's Hammer british Dracula series.
This film is a great example for Lee as Count.
The differences are:
- Lugosi was more a theatrical Dracula from Broadway. Lugosi acted very elegant, exclusive & gentleman as a Dracula star. His charming style becomes a legend.
- Lee is more a mainstream Dracula star. He is not a theatre star like Lugosi did in 1931. He'd prefer a type of cold elegant beast. His style is less charming because he has to accustom himself into various directions in eight Dracula series.
Lugosi played as Dracula three times:
1. Dracula 1931
2. Return of the Vampire 1944
3. Mark of the Vampire 1935
Lee played as Dracula 8 times (see Filmography Imdb)
Frankly Bela Lugosi was a bit more charismatic than Christopher Lee, but Christopher Lee could balance the great charisma of his great predecessor.
Christopher Lee...as Count Dracula.......2006-07-28
I have watched this film several times in my adult life and find it impossible to put down. I still get a kick out of it when I watch it again...I am used to watching Christopher Lee acting as Count Dracula and have a good collection of films with him as the main actor. In the late 1950s to early 1960's the Hammer Film Production (Pine Studios) of England did a splendid job both in cinematograph and conveying the Gothic mood in their films of Dracula. Its choice of Christopher Lee was splendid because he just fitted in the role appropriately. Other scenes included the frightened villagers gathered in a tavern to drink beer and discussed in whispers about the terrifying powers of the Count; the sound of horses galloping down the deserted village road on a driverless carriage; the final dissolution of the Count's body into dust only to be resurrected again with a few drops of human blood by his bat companion; the Count himself engaging the lonely traveller in a prolong dialogue in the candle-lit hall of the castle; and he telling the traveller that he had earlier "eaten", then the distant crowing of a village rooster which was hint for the Count to rise up and go back to his stone coffin before struck by the sunlight were naturalistic atmosphere that only Hammer Film Productions had successfully interpretted in all its classic films on Dracula.
It would be a good idea to buy this film as a starter and then gradually collect the entire series. [...]
I Liked This One .......2006-02-16
The Only reason this one surpasses "Dracula - Prince of Darkness"
is that Dracula Actually Talks in this one also Veronica Carlson is so Beautiful I don't know why but i liked this better than
"Horror of Dracula" I hate that when these Dracula Movies end and go on to a new one the story from the last one is forgotten and Dracula sees new people and sees another girl and he dies again i dont look at these as Sequels i look at them as assorted
storys sort of like "The Adventures of Dracula" but anyway even though after "Horror" Christopher Lee hated Doing Dracula and Peter Cushing was'nt in most of them this is My Favorite One along with "Horror" and Dracula A.D. 1972
BEST IN THE HAMMER DRACULA SERIES.......2006-01-30
This film, the fourth of the Hammer Dracula Series (third with Christopher Lee), is in my opinion, the best. As a few other reviewers have noted, HORROR OF DRACULA seems to have maintained it's status as "Best vampire film" based on years of people believing it because some film critic once said so. Is it a bad film? No, it's quite good, but this one is better.
Why? Because the film has such a dark, gothic look and sound to it. Because the story is interesting in that it is the holy men of the church who set Dracula loose (one of them even becoming his henchman), while the unbelieving atheist sets out to save the day (or least save his girlfriend). Further, this film clearly demonstrated the fact that for all their faith, knowledge and effort the protagonists can't always do it alone. They need for the antagonist (Dracula) to make a fatal error or series of errors to bring about his own destruction. This time around, Dracula does just that, setting-up his own demise on the cross.
This DVD version comes with language selection, scene selection, and has good picture and sound. A must have addition for any fan of Hammer.

Total TRASH! Don't even think about wasting your money!!.......2005-06-26
The 1st "movie": Fist of Fear, Touch of Death is so bad I didn't even watch the next 2. The uninitiated will possibly not know that the footage that purports to be about Bruce's life, family and ancestry is all rubbish and was actually taken from 2 different movies: The ancestors "cuts" in color are from a colossally poor period piece that would be funny if it didn't seem to be taking itself seriously. While the black and white parents-and-family "cuts" actually are truly a young Bruce in a Hong Kong film that he made before returning to the U.S. to live. However the scenario is totally misrepresented. All of the other participants are actors as well and not correctly identified. Nor is the dubbed dialog related to what is really being spoken (in Cantonese) by the actors. Yet a third source is tapped for the "supposed interviews" which are not with the speaker at all, but with someone else regarding the work Bruce did on the "Longstreet" TV show in '71 and once again the voice-over not only is not really Bruce and is again, not accurate (and he was speaking English during those interviews). One would be better served to buy the "Legend" DVD from the -Bruce Lee Master Collection- or the more recent "Bruce Lee: The Warrior's Journey" to see and hear in Bruce's own words and voice what the NON-"What's Up Tiger-Lily" version is of the early Hong Kong (black and white) and what the "Longstreet" interviews have to reveal about him.
If this is meant to be a spoof and they just forgot to mention that anywhere, then shame on them. I don't find it even remotely humorous, not to consider the generations of people who might not know any better since his untimely death 32 years ago.
bad.......2005-01-13
Don't buy this. "From the Grave" is overdubbed b/w film without Bruce Lee in it. The other two aren't great either.

Product Description
The image of a kung-fu fighter meets a black angel of death.
Customer Reviews:
Wow, Burce would have been really mad at this movie.......2006-09-21
I mean the trailers have his grave like blowing up. They show this at the start of the movie, and then the movie actually starts. The kung fu is decent at best and the story is not worth going over. It is your standard modern day boring kung fu story and left me wishing I hadn't wasted 90 minutes on this when I was finished with it.
Bruceploitation: The Worst Of All Time.......2004-09-07
I would've voted this one as worth ZERO stars but Amazon wouldn't let me. Having picked up this film on sale for $5.99 and watched it(only once before leaving it in the halls of Ga Perimeter College without a 2nd thought), I'm going to keep it short & sweet: no Bruce Lee(or Bruce Lee lookalikes for that matter), no graves, no Black Angel of Death, no plot, no choreography, and NO SENSE! And on top of that, the synopsis on the backside of the cover is FALSE. Therefore...I crown this DISGRACE the WORST BRUCEploitation film of all time. DON'T SPEND A CENT ON THIS ONE.
Kung Fu Crap at some of its best!.......2004-05-11
I don't know what is wrong with most of the other reviewers here. Actually, I suppose I do know what is wrong: you couldn't figure out how to enjoy this movie. And that's your right, I guess, so whatever. But I totally loved it. Of course it is a low-budget, horribly-filmed, poorly acted, campy piece of 70's movie garbage. But if you aren't expecting that to begin with, then you are clearly daft. What else would you expect from a movie thus named?
However, low quality as it may be, for people who enjoy such movies, this is quite nice. I have seen rather a number of these kinds of horrible martial arts flicks, and I must say I generally get some kind of kick from them, whether it be the horrible dialogue, the strange dubbing, the astonishingly wild plot, or at least some good fighting. This film ranks right up there with "Clash of the Ninjas" and "Kung Fu Zombie" as one of my favorite. Why, you ask? Are you really interested in why?
This film features a laughably terrible transferal to DVD. Everything is wildly blurry. It was so bad that I thought I was actually watching it in a tiny theatre in the 70s. Contrary to most people's preference, I found this endearing. They could have maybe cleaned it up, but they chose to keep the feel of the original release there. It isn't like you really need it to not be blurry- most of the blur is just depth of field blur from the camera having too large an aperture in many shots.
But let's see... What else does this film offer. And mind you, I'm being serious with all of this.
One thing I really liked was the relationship between the star and the superbly attractive damsel. Feminists would hate this movie, because the female lead spends most of her time being caught or nearly killed while the hero- a man- keeps saving her tail. I don't care about everything being PC all the time, so I thought this was kind of funny and cute. I'd like to rescue some beautiful girl, too. But the way these two characters interact is quite bizarre, and I found it intriguing. She instantly likes this guy, but he is too focused on other matters at hand to pay any attention to her. This does eventually bite him in the end, though, and it is sad.
The plot of the movie is interesting for this type of genre where things are usually fairly cut and dry- set 'em up and knock 'em down. This story is a tale of betrayal, subterfuge, and manipulation that keeps going until the very end. The pacing of the movie keeps things flowing, as well- there are few lagging points in this story. And I also enjoyed the tone of the film, which was rather serious. It was a serious drama speckled with bits of kung fu fighting. And, while the acting and film quality maybe have been some of the very worst, I don't think this film would have the same feeling if these things were better. It would not have the same charm if it was all well acted- more than likely, this movie would just blend in with lots of other well-acted crap from the 70's. As it is, the recipe produces something not quite reproducible, and therefore, to me, unique.
The kung fu was also good, but that is not the main reason I watch these movies, paradoxically enough.
If you are going to spend your time trying to watch these types of movies, you might as well look for things to enjoy. Once you learn to look at them correctly, you will find the true and priceless value of their existence.
Cheers,
Gregory Scott
WELL, THIS WAS A VERY UNPLEASANT WAY TO SPEND MY MONEY TODAY.......2003-12-27
I JUST BOUGHT THIS TRASHY-A** MOVIE TODAY, AND I GOT DONE WATCHING IT JUST 30 MINUTES AGO. AND I'MA TELL YOU THIS, I WANT BACK THE 84 MINUTES THAT I WASTED ON THIS MOVIE! I COULD'VE BEEN DOING SOMETHING MUCH BETTER DURING THAT TIME! ANYWAY, HERE'S THE PLOT; A CHINESE MARTIAL ARTIST [BRUCE LEA] ARRIVES IN LOS ANGELES. SHORTLY AFTER HE ARRIVES, HE FINDS OUT THAT HIS FRIEND HAS DIED UNDER MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. THINKING IT WAS MURDER, HE SETS OUT TO FIND THE PEOPLE THAT WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS FRIEND'S DEATH. ALL OF THE FIGHTS WERE BORING AND MINDLESS. AFTER WATCHING THIS MOVIE AND AFTER SEEING HOW BORING BRUCE LEA REALLY WAS IN THIS MOVIE, I NOW TEND TO THINK DIFFERENTLY ABOUT BRUCE LI. BRUCE LEA IS AS WORSE OF A KUNG FU STAR THAN BRUCE LI EVER WAS! AND TRUST ME, BRUCE LI HAD SOME VERY VERY BAD MOVIES OUT. BUT THIS, THIS IS JUST TOO STUPID FOR IT'S OWN GOOD. I USUALLY DON'T DO THIS, BUT SINCE I REALLY DON'T WANT ANYONE TO PICK UP THIS MOVIE, HERE'S A SPOILER; HIS FRIEND ACTUALLY FAKES HIS DEATH TO GET HIS HANDS ON SOME SERIOUS DRUG MONEY. HE APPEARS AT THE END OF THE MOVIE AND HE FIGHTS BRUCE LEA IN THE FINAL FIGHT. NOW THAT YOU KNOW THE END, YOU DON'T NEED TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! BUT IF YOU STILL WANNA SEE THIS, I CAN'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!
A strangely enjoyable film with a grossly misleading title.......2003-10-15
Bruce Lee Fights Back From the Grave - it's a great title for a movie, isn't it? Unless you're just slapping that title on the final product and opening the film with a shot of somebody jumping up out of the ground in front of a fake Bruce Lee tombstone, knowing full well that this movie hasn't the first thing to do with Bruce Lee and that it's all just a scheme for making more money by exploiting the name of the legend. Strangely enough, I don't even mind because I have some sort of obsession with Bruceploitation movies that compels me to watch and usually enjoy any of them I can get hold of. I do have a problem with the plot summary that usually comes attached to this film, however. I knew going in that the film had nothing to do with Bruce Lee, but those without such knowledge are told that Bruce comes back and fights the Black Angel of death in some sort of supernatural kung fu story. Folks, this doesn't happen - no Bruce Lee, no graves, no Black Angel of death. I can't even be sure of whom the star of this film is. The actor is billed as Bruce K.L. Lea but is often referred to as Bruce Le; Bruce Le happens to be my favorite Bruce clone, but I can't make the actor in this film look like the Bruce Le I have come to know in other movies.
I can't really list any good things about this film, yet for some reason I really enjoyed it. Our hero Wong Han comes to America to see his old friend and fellow kung fu teacher, only to learn that the guy just committed suicide. With no place to go, he bunks down in the school, only to be attacked by a great big axe-wielding black man; afterwards, he finds himself at the police station being berated for what he claims is self-defense. A mystery man bails him out, only to ask Wong to help him find a certain young lady. Wong refuses, but almost immediately he finds himself saving the girl in question from being raped; it turns out that she just happened to be his dead buddy's employee and only friend. Deborah Chaplin plays Susan, and I have to say that the lady is just gorgeous and mesmerizing. Wong's luck seems to be changing as Susan locks on to her new hero. Of course, bad things are afoot. Apparently, the Village People or a horrible facsimile thereof were involved in Wong's friend's demise, and these folks keep attacking and kidnapping Susan. Naturally, Wong has to fight them and find out the truth behind his friend's death. The plot jumps around like a cat walking on a bed of hot coals, but a surprise or two at the end does offer some proof that a plot of some sort actually did exist. The ending is quite a downer, I must say.
Bruce Lee Fights Back From the Grave is just weird. Wong carries around his friend's box of ashes (which sports a big photo of the guy on front) around his neck all over town, for one thing. The evil quintet of Village People wannabes is downright silly. The fights aren't bad at all, in my opinion, and there are a good many of them, but the strange relationship between Wong and Susan attracted most of my attention. Susan is thoroughly taken with Wong, basically locking on to him from the start; there seems to be a little romance on both sides eventually, but it sure isn't your typical kind of relationship. The weirdest thing of all about this film, though, is the fact that I enjoyed it as much as I did given the fact that the acting is sub-par, the dubbing is awful, and the plot is exceedingly thin in places.

BARBARA STEELE AT HER BEST.......2005-02-07
THIS IS A 5 STAR MOVIE,,,REGARDLESS OF WHAT THESE OTHER REVIEWERS HAVE SAID,,,THEY GIVE YOU THE RATING ON THE QUALITY OF THE DVD,INSTEAD OF THE MOVIE ITSELF,,PEOPLE THIS IS AN OLD MOVIE AFTER ALL!!IF YOU LIKED NIGHTMARE CASTLE,BELIEVE ME YOU WILL LIKE TERROR CREATURES FROM THE GRAVE.
Low Grade Euro Horror........2005-01-05
Low budget horror flicks can be delightfully loony. Low budget European horror can be even loonier. With that disclaimer, we will proceed. A deceased spiritualist and his disciples return from the grave to exact vengeance on his unfaithful wife and a host of enemies. The script claims inspiration in the writings of Edgar Allan Poe. Well, maybe. The assertion of source material probably has more to do with the success of Roger Corman's adaptations of Poe than with the Dark Master of American letters. The bleak B&W photography and the average video transfer of the low priced DVD diminish the impact of Barbara Steele, although her dark good looks still manage to project. She appears briefly in the bathtub, and another scene displays ample leg and thigh, but don't get too excited. It isn't that sort of movie. The monsters are zombies (sort of) that carry the plague in their very touch. One problem, the viewer never actually sees the creatures. Hands emerge out of graves, around corners, etc. but the menace is largely unseen, except for the grisly results. The period detail is okay, but the movie lacks the power punch of a Hammer Films color display. Despite the limitations, die-hard fans of ghostly horror can have fun with this movie. Other viewers should creep on by. ;-)
Absolutely worthless.......2004-09-11
I want to reinforce the prev. reviewer who said steer clear of the Alpha Video DVD. I can tolerate a slightly subpar transfer, but this is intolerable.
You can barely tell which actress is Barbara Steele. Avoid.
Oh, The Terror! The Terror!.......2004-03-08
A lawyer (Walter Brandi) receives a letter from a strange client named Jeronimus Hauff, who wants a will drawn up. Upon his arrival at the dark castle of Jeronimus (complete with a glass case full of mummified hands), the lawyer finds out that Hauff's been dead for a year! It seems that Mr. Hauff was dedicated to the supernatural, especially raising the dead. His castle was once a hospital where plague victims stayed and died. It is of course, cursed. You see, five men (along with Mrs. Hauff) circulated a petition to have Hauff run out of town, so Jeronimus gathered them together and threatened to expose the bad things he knew about each of them. One of the five killed Hauff to the collective glee of the others. Jeronimus cursed them all with his dying breath. One year later, the five men are turning up dead, covered in icky sores. One of them commits suicide by impaling himself on a sword. The lawyer falls in love with Jeronimus' beautiful daughter and must figure out how they can stay alive. There are some interesting sequences in between stretches of dullness. Barbara Steele plays Jeronimus' cheating wife. Her huge eyes are definitely a high point. There's a nice bathtub scene with, alas, too many bubbles. Her Morticia-esque looks and perma-frown are perfect for the gloomy happenings. I just wish it had been more frightening! I mean, a glass case full of mummified hands comes to life, only to wiggle around a little bit? Not even one nice strangulation scene?? Sheesh...
Wretchedly Poor DVD Transfer.......2004-01-20
This Alpha Video DVD release of an impressively moody and generally underrated Italian horror yarn is a wretched, unwatchable mess. The image is blurred and smeary, and appears to have been taken from a murky fourth-generation bootleg videotape transfer. The horribly garbled sound renders nearly all of the dialogue unintelligible, and absolutely ruins Aldo Piga's score. This is one of the absolute worst legitimate DVD releases I've ever seen, easily on par with Madacy's hideous TRACK OF THE VAMPIRE/NIGHTMARE CASTLE combo. Barbara Steele and Euro-Horror fans are strongly advised to steer clear of this one, despite the tantalizingly cheap list price.

Really Stupid Movie.......2006-10-22
Wow ........ I wish I could rate this movie a freaking negative 5 stars !!!! This movie consisted of four or five tales and all of the tales were stupid. Really bad acting and a really dumb story line for all the movies. The acting really really really sucked. It was like reading a dictionary out loud. I would not recommend this movie waste of money.
tales from the grave.......2006-03-05
I wish I could have given it 0 stars. This movie was so horrible. I could not even get passed the first story. This movie should not be compared to Tales from the Crypt. What is going to happen to the fate of our low budget movie industry?
