Description
Master Sekichi Odo is consider one of the true Okinawan treasures of martial arts.

His skill and knowledge were second to none. He was as comfortable with a weapon as he was without and his wide range and knowledge of traditional Okinawan forms made him one of the few Okinawan Masters who will live on as a legend.

In this video he demonstrates and teaches over 20 kata alone including rare forms like the Eku and Ninte plus also basic forms like Bassai done the original and correct way.

Unfortunatly Hanshi Seikichi Odo passed away in March of 2002 and this tape is to honor and inhance the legacy of a great karate and kobudo master

1 out of 5 stars Odo Sensei was great - DVD is not.......2005-10-05

Don't waste your money. This DVD should have never been made. It should have remained a personal treasure for whoever made the tape. Odo Sensei was not in his prime and the angles are poor moveover, the other karateka on the DVD, just don't have a clue. Who trained them????? Save your money and learn karate from a local Sensei near you.

1 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money ..........2004-04-20

Don't waste your money or time with this DVD. This is like a home video poorly made. The DVD is like Master Odo is trying to teach a class of Kobudo. I have to be fair with Master Odo because I don't know him. Due to his age, the techniques are poorly executed. The students that were trying to follow him, even though they have a blackbelt on, but judging from their stances and movements, they seemed like they are at a beginner's level. You won't learn anything from this DVD.
