Well packaged. Arrived in good condition.
Some mild language present and violence directed toward the robot. Otherwise, good children's entertainment.

The movie came promptly and in good condition.
Thank you
second generation Johnny 5 fans!.......2007-01-18
i loved this movie as a kid, and now my son loves it too. i will warn parents though, there is a traumatic scene near the end of the movie where johnny 5 gets beaten up, but he ends up getting repaired and putting the bad guys in jail, so it works out. also, there is a little bit of bad language, so if you look down on that, don't let your child watch it. other than that, it's still the great movie it was when i was a child... ;)
DVD's.......2007-01-10
I have not seen this movie yet, but my husband has and wanted it. He had Short Circit. He is they type of person that likes all kinds of movies and thought this would be a good additon to our collection
If Phillip K Dick had done Pinochio as a kids film..........2006-08-18
It would probably be much like this; two everyman protagonists, themes of loneliness and isolation and yearning, a robot who is far more humane than his human counterparts...
Unlike the first Short Circuit Movie where there wasn't much time to explore the character of Jonhhy Five, or invest the machine with character, the second film does just that and it does it very well. The viewer's suspension of disbelief is fully engaged- even as an adult I find myself lulled into feeling a deep sesne of pathos and compassion for Number Johnny Five. This is in part due to an amazing pre-CGI special effects/machine team and also due to the exceptionally unselfconscious acting of the human cast: Fisher Stevens ((the bad guye from hackers)) is truly phenomenal as Ben Jharvi, an Indian ((I think)) computer programmer who is as inept at expressing his feelings as Johnny Five is as understanding his own); Michael McKean and Cynthia Gibb are also great (McKean is perfect as a petty conman who betrays and then saves Johnny Five). The actors did an amazing job interacting with the machine and their performances add subtly dazzling layers of humor and sentiment to whta could have been a really awful movie but instead becomes a marvelous thing to watch.
OK. The script is somewhat shoddy at times and the pacing is not so well-handled. There are some dead-end scenes, but for the most part everything really hangs together well- Johnny Five stumbles through several mishaps trying to understand why humans behave as they do and why he feels what he feels. Oh, there's a chase scene set to the godawful "I need a hero," song. The kitschy 80's pop score wears a tad thin afterawhile. But then, this is a kid film at heart, and a rather unique one at that.
One scene always breaks my heart, one of my all-time favorite poignant scenes: Johnny five, after being caught by the cops, is taken and chained in the police basement- the stolen property room. He is slowly reading two books, page by page. His friends come to have him released- when allowed to leave he breaks his chains easily and sadly leaves (you see, he could have left at anytime had he wanted to; there's some Sadean undertones in how #J5 repeatedly allows himself to be demeaned and debased and almost destroyed by humans without fighting back lethally- which he easily could... a postmodern and mechanical kin to Justine, perhaps).
The books he was so slowly reading were Pinochio and Frankenstein. It always slays me, just like the Rockbiter's monologue in The Never Ending Story ("They look like big, strong hands...").
This one is so much better, in my opinion, than Spielberg's execrable A.I., if only in that Stevie over-reached himself (again) on that crite film; trying to make a 'serious' film about 'serious' issues... and then he tacked on a completely odious ending.
This film has no such pretensions- it mostly aims at fun. Because of that it achieves more than most serious cinema struggling with the same themes of technology and identity.

Great body workout.......2007-04-11
Great workout, you cover every area of your body with intensity. No body part is left alone. Most workouts sometimes you feel as though a body part was neglected, not this one. A great buy that converted me to the Firm Series.
One of the longest Firm workouts but one of the best .......2007-04-10
Enough people have given this video a glowing review that I probably don't need to add my voice as well ... but in case anyone needs more convincing, buy this video! I own nine Firm videos and this is probably my favorite.
Emily does a fantastic job and this is absolutely one of the hardest Firm videos -- but it's also one of the most fun. More than any other Firm video, this one leaves my muscles (especially the legs) feeling like jello by the end.
Emily keeps things moving along, which is really key, especially since the workout comes in at just over an hour long. Just when you think you can't possibly take more of a certain exercise, she moves you to a new muscle group. Her cardio and step segments are very fun and help the time go by very quickly. This is one video where I feel like it's over not too long after I've begun. The step moves do take some getting used to but I've had a harder time learning moves from other videos (such as the "box step" from Allie Delrio's Transfirmer video -- I've given up on ever getting that right and just march in place instead).
A quick word on The Firm in general: I have been doing The Firm off and on for about five years and religiously for the past four months. It is an awesome exercise program and has helped me improve my fitness enormously. It actually is fun, and it's efficient enough that you will see results quickly and thus remain motivated to continue. In the past four months I have made absolutely no dietary changes and yet I have lost almost ten pounds. I think this is especially significant because I have gained a lot of muscle, which weighs more than the fat I have lost.
If you are new to The Firm, expect to not finish a workout the first time through. Just watch the video and walk in place until you are comfortable and then pick it up again. The good news is that a) it works, b) you'll get used to it and be finishing workouts in no time (for me it was less than two weeks), and c) because it's so tough, you can continue using these workouts for months and even years without plateauing. Good luck!
Just a Beginner.......2007-02-13
I bought this and tried it out today. I have been using The Firm Fanny Lifter for only 3 weeks. I enjoy the 3-in-1 DVD that came along with it, but I needed variety. Talk about a good cardio and weightlifting workout. WOW!! I am not what people would consider overweight, by any means, but if you are looking to tone up THIS is the DVD for you.
The cueing is a little shaky at times, but overall it is excellent.
Great workout that continues to challenge me!.......2007-01-10
The FIRM is without a doubt the best workout series I have ever used. My best friend got me started with it and my cousin has even become an instructor at their studio in Columbia, SC!
I have owned Complete Aerobics and Weight Training for almost three years, and I continue to find it challenging. The aerobics portions are fun and invigorating, and the weight training leaves you feeling stronger.
Besides enjoying the FIRM's effective choreography, I find the cuing in this series very easy to follow. The instructors never suddenly throw something new at you. You always have plenty of time to prepare for the next move.
I'm pooped by the end of the hour, but I know I've done something great for my body.
"Gettin' down with the fanny lifter".......2006-07-09
This is an excellent workout. I love the Firm workouts. I have lost 60 pounds and counting doing Firm workouts 4-5 times a week along with eating a healthy diet. It uses light, medium, and heavy dumbbells, the fanny lifter, and the sculpting stick. Its a cardio + sculpt video. I really enjoy the step aerobics segment. Emily is a great leader. She cues well and she is energetic. This video has an extra long stretching part (i think its about 12 minutes) in the end which is very relaxing and really soothes your muscles after working them so hard in the workout. Highly recommended!

Tae Bo Fan.......2006-04-21
I have been working out with Billy since his first set of videos came out in '98. I have well over 20 tapes and dvds. I have to comment on the reviewer who was so worried about form and jerky movements. You can't start/learn Tae Bo with a video like this. Billy has plenty of instructional videos to learn technique and build strength and then you move on to longer, tougher workouts. Don't judge Tae Bo without knowing the history of this great program.
the life saver workout!I love Billy Blanks' .......2006-03-10
I love Billy Blanks' Cardio circut work out. Before I started to use this product, I was constanly tired and never motivated. Now I am always on beat and ready to take on anything. My life has changed in so many ways just by getting up and working out. It's amazing how having a little more energy and confidence will change your life so dramaticaly.
Billy Blanks' Cardio work out will help you work out your cardio system and it will also give you the strenth and confidence to continue to stay successful in your weight loss goals.
A New Fave!.......2005-07-09
This is my new favorite Tae Bo workout. I am an advanced exerciser and have done almost all the Tae-Bo's. I would say this workout is more advanced than all of Billy's latest releases, but not as advanced as say, Get Ripped or any of the Advanced Lives, but it works up a great sweat and is not too fast to focus on your form. All in all, Billy is back and better than ever! A great workout!
Very poor workout DVD.......2005-06-10
This workout consists of doing a lot of quick, jerky moves, without real instructions about how to safely do them. You get hardly any instruction on how to properly place your body. Billy spends more time telling you to smile than how to properly perform his workout. Also, his sidekick/cheerleader doesn't demonstrate great control when she does the moves either. Also, this DVD is not divided into chapters so you can do just upper body, lower body, or ab work, or even skip past the intro. It is basically just a video put onto a DVD, and the sound quality is pretty poor. I do NOT recommend that anyone buy this workout DVD.
Great workout!!!!! Different from Cardio Circuit 1.......2005-05-23
I love the Cardio Circuit workout so very much. I was worried that 2 would rehash the same moves as 1 and that is NOT the case. They are totally different and I do one or the other each and every day and I am still get sore. You learn to move up the itensity and it keeps you going. It is one of the great line of tae bo tapes!

Talking about Circuits.......2007-05-09
Basically, the 2 circuit DVD's are well structured and pleasant workouts, not too easy and not too tough. Consider Circuit 1 as a basic DVD, Circuit 2 as an advanced DVD - the main difference is that it lasts longer and is set at a higher pace. Definitely good value for money, and together with the original advanced and the Tae Bo 2 Get Ripped Advanced my favourite Tae Bo workouts.
Billy Blanks .......2006-02-27
I have had issues losing weight for a long time..but these tapes have showed a definite weight loss, stamina improvement and overall healthier feeling.
BE CAREFUL with these workouts!!! Review on Cardio Circuit 1.......2005-03-26
I think Billy Blank is an EXCELLENT Marketer... so, please don't think I am against what he is trying to promote - which is fitness.... a positive thing! However, if I were to give my professional opinion (Certified Master Fitness Instructor - been in the fitness field for over 25 years and have taught boxing for the last 8 years), I would say... just be careful with all of the Tae Bo tapes. Make sure to keep your knees "soft" at all times...slighting bent and with a pivot when kicking... and knees never go past your feet! In the beginning of these Tae Bo tapes, a lot of doctors saw injuries to the hips and knees - (hubby is a doctor).
As for rating this particular workout - THE COUNTING OF THE GIRLS BEHIND HIM DRIVES ME CRAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZY! After the first 8 mins of viewing it, I had to turn the dang thing off! First of all: YOU WOULD NEVER step into a fitness class and have someone (or a bunch of the students) count AT EVERY, SINGLE BEAT - starting at 1 - 8!!!! (Instructors normally count backwards..leaving out the number "1")
Most good Instructors would know the cueing of the music to make the changes of the moves without a bunch of students repeating 1 through 8 throughout the ENTIRE workout! He should NOT have had them with a mic and kept the counting where HE would only hear it and not let the one who is viewing it hear it!
I could not continue with this workout for the main reason of the repeated counting and the horrible music.... Since his first set of Tao Bo tapes, he is much more cautious and gives the viewer safety pointers... which is a major plus for Billy Blank!
Bottom Line: If you can blank out the REPEATED.... REPEATED...REPEATED....counting and you know how to properly executed the moves, it is a decent workout .
Disappointment.......2005-03-11
These two workouts were a great disappointment. Having enjoyed the workouts of the original Tae bo tapes I was looking for a updated version but found with the Circuit workouts I barely broke a sweat, was bored and wanted my money back.
Excellent Fast Paced Workouts!.......2005-01-05
I have been doing the Tae Bo workouts by Billy Blanks for the last couple years now and love them. The newest DVD's - Tae Bo Circuit 1 & 2 are similar to the original Advanced Tae Bo tape in that they are very fast paced but easy to follow and enjoyable. The workouts are quick paced and are not boring like sitting on an excersise bike. I highly recommend these to someone looking for an advanced cardio workout with strength training and toning that doesn't have a lot of time to workout, average DVD is about 40 minutes.

Thumbs Down.......2006-06-11
This was a very boring video. I didn't like the assistants at all, because they didn't really seem to have personalities, and the exercise leader was kind of weird. The exercises were very easy and very basic...even I, who rarely has time to exercise, could do all of them without breaking a sweat. And I forgot to mention the part where it was so unmotivational that I didn't even want to finish it...I will never try this workout again.
BORING!.......2006-02-17
This is one of the most boring videos I've ever done! I didn't even want to finish it! The main "trainer" is overexcited and sweating profusely (which I didn't even break a sweat at all). His workout assistants looked as though he picked them off the street and they couldn't even do the BASIC (a.k.a. boring) exercises. If you are just starting out and never exercised before, I suggest this video.
Can I give it 0 Stars??!.......2006-02-08
Don't waste your time or Money. I hate to be biased but I havent even done this video. Maybe it is a great workout per-say but I got so distratced by the lady who is doing everything Incorrectly. It Wouldn't be so bad if the instructor would show her how to do it correctly. Don't even by it for your kids cause if they follow the girl on the right they might end up hurting themselves.
Better videos for the same amount of $$
Save it.......2006-01-27
Awful! Not worth the money. Poorly organized and no real organization to the sequence of exercises.
Kid Basic.......2006-01-23
OK, I'm guilty. I judged a "video" by its cover. The name says it all--it is basic. All through the program, I kept thinking to myself: "This would be great for my kid" (who is 11 yrs old). In other words, this is kids stuff. Very easy to do and follow. The setting was NOT at all nice--It is a stage with a curtain backdrop. If you decide in the end to buy this, follow the instructor and the blonde with the long hair, as they are not "awkward".

a martial arts prison movie that is actually decent.......2006-09-27
Overall, this sequal to the first Circuit movie falls a bit short to its predacessor, but for what it is - a prison fight movie - Circuit 2 is better than expected.
The main reason I dislike prison fight movies are the limits and confinements of a prison for the movie, with little exciting scenery. Most of the Circuit 2 takes place in a typical prison, with plenty of fights set up by the warden for its inmates, but eventually there is a tournement that expands later in the movie to a beach at night. I love this tournament, mainly because you can hear and see the ocean waves crashing in the background while some decent fights are going on, in front of a small audience. Just when you think the film has reached its final fight, more action continues and at dawn, the Olivier Gruner character and main villain fighter duel out in the ocean water for a few minutes. Its a pretty cool fight too.
Overall, Circuit 2 is not as exciting as the first in terms of story and development. There are more fights that the first, though, and Circuit 2 still delivers above average quailty for a B-grade movie.
the circuit II.......2005-07-08
It had a lot action in it and I really enjoyed watching a good martial arts movie thank you.
WHO EDITED THIS MOVIE?.......2004-10-03
As a fellow reviewer lamented, this is one bad movie. Olivier Gruner is passionless and boring. Gary Hudson as the bad prison guard is offed by a prisoner (I think)--editing problem # 1 out of several. Gail Harris as the girlfriend is in a coma, then someone tries to kill her, she's okay and next thing you know, she's dead??? Where did that come in?
Pointless, trite, definitely not worthy to inspire another sequel. Yuck!
The Worst Movie I Have Ever Seen.......2004-03-17
If you want to see the worst movie ever made, rent this movie. I've seen better acting in elemetary school plays. The plot has holes so big that you could fit the new planet Sedna through it. When the main character's girlfriend is attacked and beaten, we never find out her fate, and characters refer to her as dead AND in a coma. Come again?
Also, Michael Blanks, who was in the first movie, plays a different character in the sequel. Like viewers aren't going to pick up on this? Add to that a scene when prison guards open fire on innocent spectators for no reason. This movie has no brain.
I had to review this movie for a DVD web site and I want the hour and a half of my wasted life back!!!
The Circuit 2.......2003-07-14
Not to bad of a movie at all, however like many BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO EXCLUSIVE(R) titles, it is not exactly an award winning title, but it was very enjoyable, especially if you enjoy part one. Good acting by Oliver Grunier, I looked him up to see what other movies he has been in, mostly smaller BBE names.

Great Product!.......2007-03-08
Well packaged. Arrived in good condition.
Some mild language present and violence directed toward the robot. Otherwise, good children's entertainment.

second generation Johnny 5 fans!.......2007-01-18
i loved this movie as a kid, and now my son loves it too. i will warn parents though, there is a traumatic scene near the end of the movie where johnny 5 gets beaten up, but he ends up getting repaired and putting the bad guys in jail, so it works out. also, there is a little bit of bad language, so if you look down on that, don't let your child watch it. other than that, it's still the great movie it was when i was a child... ;)

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.......2006-08-04
This is worth about $1. The info on this is completely misleading. There are no worthwhile performances on this disc. The way it works is the band will be performing, but after about 2 minutes, it will cut to the group being interviewed(in the most banal possible fashion - eg "How long have you been into music?", "Do you like being on the road?", etc. arrggg) by some incredibly stupid female host. Then it cuts back to the live performance for anther minute or two, and then back to dumb, boring interview from hell. Then it's on to the next band. There is about 30 minutes of content total on this DVD.
I am an ISIS fan and bought this thinking I was getting a live performance shot in High Definition. What I got was aproximately 4 - 5 minutes of music interspersed with an equal amount of unbelievably bad interview. Let me repeat 4 - 5 MINUTES OF MUSIC PER BAND. A typical ISIS song is 7 - 9 minutes long. And that 4 - 5 minutes is spread across 2 SONGS. Thanks so much for 2 whole minutes of each song.
The video and sound quality is excellent, and comparable to the original HD broadcast. Too bad the content is so unbelievably thin. This disc is just barely worthy of being freely given away with a magazine. Do not buy this under any circumstances.
