      Description

In a rare interview, Ed Bradley gets inside the golf machine that is Tiger Woods. Inspired by his father and driven by his mother, Woods picked up a golf club before he could walk. Woods's desire to win is palpable, as is his enjoyment of the sport, evident when he demonstrates some unusual golf tricks. But Tiger Woods isn't just about golf; he says he wants to have kids and help kids.

5 out of 5 stars Tiger Woods by Ed Bradley .......2007-03-26

This is a great interview and conversation between Ed Bradley and Tiger Woods. It is first rate and candid. This is a must-have DVD for Tiger Woods fans and the great game of golf.

      1 out of 5 stars DVD Doesn't Work.......2007-01-03

I ordered one of these and a replacement and neither one would play on my DVD player.

5 out of 5 stars A Near Perfect Human Being.......2006-11-20

Tiger Woods interviewed by the late Ed Bradley of 60 minutes shows the life of Tiger Woods, how he was raised and shows his candidness and frankness. I have always admired this young man since the first time I saw him. His smile alone says it all. Every child should see and hear Tiger's words on life along with their parents at least five times and some parents should watch it 10 times. Tiger Woods has turned the game of Golf upside down in style. It is impressive to see what Tiger has given back to his community and though it cost millions to Tiger, it is free to all the kids to enroll.

Tiger Woods has joined the group of great people and his story and name will live on for many, many years.

5 out of 5 stars Ed Bradley On Tiger Woods.......2006-11-11

Ed bradley at his best in a smooth one on one insight into the world of tiger woods. No one interviews like Ed bradlely. Tiger is at his most comfortable and therefore his most open as he and Bradley opens doors into what motivates Tiger. Not to be missed.

5 out of 5 stars Tiger Woods DVD.......2006-11-10

4 out of 5 stars High Crime in Rio worth a look.......2003-06-10

This film is a solid sixties style tour in every aspect. It is a model of a "Mission Impossible' adventure and resembles an early James Bond flick *(Thunderball) in the carnival scenes and LARGO (minus the eye patch and Spectre ring) is even in THIS picture! A professor (Edward G. Robinson) plans a jewel heist and has four experts handle the theft. All of this takes place in Rio during 'Carnival' and we are shown how professionals work together to obtain the goal. There is tension and struggle here that will keep you interested and the melody of the Carnival will remain with you long after the picture is over. 5 out of 5 stars Haunting Moods.......2003-05-02

Without re-hashing the synopsis of this classic heist thriller shown above, let me say I really loved two things about this DVD: being in Rio De Janeiro in the mid 60's, and the incredible haunting music by Ennio Morricone. His soundtrack is as good or better than any other movie he scored. There is some great, haunting bossa nova music in this caper. This movie was virtually impossible to find on video. Now you can view in the clarity of DVD. This movie is worth having if you love Brazil, and want to hear some classic moody 60's music.

      Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars This Was My First Film.......2006-12-12

      Dearest Amazon Customer,

Hi, I'm William Brody, the director and editor of "Down to the Bone," and I hope you buy this DVD. All proceeds go towards supporting slam poetry in Seattle, and that means that emerging artists have the opportunity to present their work every week before audiences instead of working in silence and obscurity. The artists featured in this movie represent some of the best poets in Seattle, and are also inspirational figures to those who aspire to achieve brilliance in their own work.

This movie was made by a student crew from Seattle Central Community College's Film and Video program (the best around, I reckon), using eqipment that was mostly donated by kind and supportive individuals at my school. We had never done anything like this before, and while some critics will note our mistakes, I think you will agree that the point was the poetry, and I believe my esteemed colleagues and I achieved that very well.

The Slam happened in May, and less than month later, despite navigating a demanding class schedule at SCCC and online with the Academy of Art in San Francisco, I and my collaborators produced a final product that is worthy of the big screen. I edited everything except the end credits (that would be the handiwork of Maria Wardian, who did more editing after the project was given over to Eleventh Hour Productions), but my DP, Christian Hansen, did the color-correction, and Erick Diaz-Soto did the sound engineering. I imagine that we spent roughly over a hundred hours a week cumulatively to get this movie made - both in pre- and post-production -; and despite some technical difficulties, it was delivered on time for its premiere on 14 June, 2006 at On the House. It was not easy, but it was exhilarating, and the experience shows what motivated individuals can do when they want to accomplish an important task (there's that Army Infantry training talking).

It is hard to believe that this was originally supposed to be an internship!

"DTTB" was shot in 4:3 at 24 PA with three Panasonic DVX-100s (A & B), and a Canon XL-2 on DV tape. It was recorded on a Nagra digital deck and with on-camera audio (CR Avery's performance, y'all; it's so good, it's frightening). It was edited on my Mac G5 with Final Cut Pro employing its awesome multi-camera editing feature, which was simple to use. A 1:85 aspect ratio matte was added in post for that luscious, wide-screen look. That's right, folks: "DTTB" is HD ready!

Eighteen hours-plus worth of footage at high resolution consumed nearly all the space on my 250GB LaCie external drive, which performed amazingly under stressful conditions. At one point, I spent over 8 hours a day editing "DTTB" in the weeks after we wrapped production, which was in addition to my on-campus and online film school assignments (Dean's List and straight A's, respectively; hey, it ain't bragging if it's true!).

This was my first film, and I will always love it, warts and all, knowing that others will be cool to it, or possibly hate it. But I am betting that no matter what you think, it will compel you to talk about it and share it with your friends and neighbors (en route to them purchasing their own copies, naturally!) who love spoken word as much as I do. So, maybe it could be better, but Marcel Duchamp did say that art projects are never finished, they are simply abandoned to their fate.

Hopefully, dear reader, the fate of this movie will occupy a special place not just on your shelf, but in your heart and your mind for years to come.

      Enjoy, and Best Wishes,
      William Brody

The first girls' baseball team from Kisaragi High to compete interscholastically undergoes some intensive training: coach Kido even tries to go on the wagon. When they reach the tournament semifinals, the girls find themselves facing the boys' team from their school, led by top hitter/heartthrob Hiroki. The game becomes a duel between pitcher Ryo and Hiroki, intensified by their attraction to each other. The series concludes on an upbeat note that is neither predictable nor pat. Princess Nine ranks as one of the best series for girls in recent years, with characters who are strong, capable individuals but who still exhibit human weaknesses. With any luck, the show will be continued: Ryo, Hikana, Yoki, Seira, Koharu, Yoko, Mao, Kanako, and Izumi--and Hiroki--deserve another season, at least. Rated 12 Up, but suitable for younger viewers: Alcohol use, brief nudity, minor profanity, minor violence. --Charles Solomon

5 out of 5 stars One of the Best! .......2007-03-26

I'm so happy I was able to see this anime! The story is one of the best I've seen in a long time. And you really feel the emotions of each characther. Through good times and bad times. Wonderful voice acting by the dub team. Glad to call myself a fan! =)

      5 out of 5 stars Very entertaining.......2003-02-13

The Princess Nine series is a great one for girls, but boys may also enjoy it. Its nice that each member of the team has their own personality and look. Ryo Hayakawa is the starting pitcher and gets accepted to the prestigious Kisaragi girls school and has to deal with a rival named Izumi who is the chairwoman's daughter and has to deal with Izumi's childhood friend Hiroki Tagusaki who falls in love with her from the moment he meets her. Its a wonderful journey from the beginning to the end. The ending is not at all predictable and the series is a real treat to see. A wonderful addtition for any fans of anime.

5 out of 5 stars Go for the second season! And why not third at it?.......2002-12-29

I agree with the first reviewer. This series still has a lot of hooks without fish, and I say we go fishing. You'll hear more music, upcatching and rather deep music. They did a great job with the music and development to the characters, as well as a very original story. This places 2nd in my collection, right next to Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, and I plan for it to keep its spot. This series deserves more, comic, more seasons, regular tv show, or something. It's a little over rated, maybe it should be for nine and up. However, they only have so many choices (All, 12+ 13+, 15+, 16+, 17+, and 18+.) I hope later on people decide to do a second season at least. As I said kinda, the characters are well developed, but still need small holes to be filled. Like what about Hikaru's family? What happened to Koharu's mom? Will Seira smack one on Coach Kido? (It's obvious she likes him). So this very much relates to the Australian review, well done. This DVD only was the best out of the seires. It's like one of those series that it's better as it goes. Over all, the whole series was fantastic. Wonderful voice overs! Speaking of which, since Kelli Cousins (Seira) is Kurumi in Steel Angel Kurumi (cutesy character) it takes a while getting used to, but I'll talk about that in a review for Steel Angel.

5 out of 5 stars Questions left unanswered .... SPOILERS.......2002-11-12

I sure as hell hope I'm wrong but ..... As far as I can tell,
this series never made it to a second in Japan, which baffles
me entirely. It DESERVES a 2nd AND a 3rd season.
Knowing that, there are questions left unanswered.
Who framed Yo's father ? Does the coach ever hook up with her
mother ? Other questions too .... well watch this dvd,
you'll see what I mean. Apart from that its still worth 5 stars.
The series is the next step up from the likes of Sailor Moon
and one of my favourites alongside Nadia, Love Hina and Oh My
      Goddess.

      5 out of 5 stars Awesome.......2002-09-19

One of the VAs was kind enough to let me view her advance copy and I have to say that Princess Nine (PN) doesn't sell itself short at the end.

I won't give away spoilers (except that the series summarizes many of the playoff games), but I definitely recommend you purchase this last volume of the PN series. If you liked the other PN volumes, or are interested in the sports drama genre that is not as available in the U.S., I recommend you check this one out.
