Description
Motorcycle mechanic C.C. Ryder (Joe Namath) joins "The Heads," an outlaw biker gang. My husband is a huge fan of this movie, but he grew up in the era where Ann-Margret was the sex kitten of the century and Joe Namath was the ultimate hero.

If you like 70's era biker/racing movies, or heck, you're just looking for a fun movie night alternative, you'll love this one.

This is a lost gem of American cinema. I don't understand how a movie as great as this can be forgotten, while Gone with the Wind is considered a masterpiece. CC&Company combines drama, comedy, and action all in one convenient DVD.

Our hero Joe Namath starts out the movie in a grocery store, is he shopping?? Ha ha! No he is making his lunch. He just walks around to the cold cuts, bread, and mustard. He even asks a store employee where he can find the cupcakes. To top it off he even opens a package of napkins to wipe his mouth. ANd they say bikers are unkempt!!

Well Joe belongs to a motorcycle gang called The Heads. Check out the motorcycle with the toilet. The Head's head, get it??

Joe saves Ann-Margret from two members of his gang. One of them you will remember from all the Pam Grier movies of the 70's. He was in all of them.

Now Joe does not get along to well with Moon, the leader of the gang. Moon gets really mad when Joe races in a dirt bike race and comes in third by carrying the bike over the finish line! I think Disney ripped off this idea for the movie Cool Runnings. Anyway, Moon is a communist and insists all of Joe's prize money should go into the gang's treasury. Joe is an all American Capitalist and insists on keeping a hundred bucks for himself. A fight breaks out. Joe manages to sneak off in the night with ALL the money and leave the gang behind.

Joe falls for Ann who watched him race. They hook up and Joe is happy. He must be in love because he even does the grocery shopping for her. Unfortunatly, the gang kidnaps Ann while Joe is out. Now the exciting climax of the movie begins. It will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Moon wants $1000 ransom for Ann. Joe, the great hero that he is, challenges him to a race, double or nothing. What ensues is an exciting 10 lap race on a college quarter mile running track. Moon hits a fence on the last lap, flips over a car which explodes, killing Moon. In the confusion, Joe grabs Ann and escapes, but the bikers chase him.

Joe then comes up with a plan that would make guerilla soldiers proud. Joe and Ann ride off into the moonlight to live a life of reckless abandon.

This movie is so good. Everytime I see it I notice something new. And Ann? She looks great, check her out in the green bikini. It's enough to make you forget Joe's purple tunic.

There is only one reason for anyone to buy this piece of junk - Wayne Cochran & The C.C. Ryders! This is the only known film appearance of Cochran and his Ryders. Their performance of "I Can't Turn You Loose" appears to have been recorded live and if you take away the goofy shots of Namath & Ann-Margaret dancing in an early 70's atmosphere, it is the high point of the movie.

The movie itself was OK. The company that put it together looked like they recorded it off the TV. They even took out the bad words. The quality of the film was REAL BAD. They didn't even use the Master Film to make it. I recomend NO NOT BUY IT.

Why, oh why, has this piece of rubbish been released onto DVD when there are so many good Ann-Margret films out there? The script is appauling, the direction and editing are laughable, and the acting is wooden. Ann-Margret looks superb and holds this piece of tripe together. I understand this film did fairly well at the box office at the time of its release? There's no accounting for taste.

I gave this waste of space two stars - one for the song A-M sings, and the other for her dancing in the night club. This is filmaking at it's utmost worst!

    I took a chance ordering these from an unknown trainer with no reviews. Save your money. These DVD's are actually DVD-R's. DVD'R's tend to degrade over time. I got some from another instructor and they played well for the first six months and then I started having problems with them and eventually they wouldn't play. This listing should clearly state that these are DVD-r's so the buyer can beware!

    I'm sure CarolAnn is a nice person but these look very low bugdet and amaturish. With all the quality workouts on the market today I would recommend spending your dollars elsewhere.

              This is a good beginning for a film--in fact, the first screen says "Chapter One." It was an unpleasant surprise to have it abruptly end before anything happened that I could sink my emotional teeth into. THIS FILM IS LESS THAN 30 MINUTES LONG, which was not stated in the descriptions. I wish I could get my money back.

              This is a really fun film, that has a pretty sharp knack for taking an irreverent, yet at the same time respectful view of religious beliefs. How Mira Sorvino, as a modern-day Virgin Mary, gets pregnant is outrageous in and of itslef, but the angst she goes through afterward leading up to the blessed event is sometimes funny, sometimes sweet and filled with sentiment. It's a low-budget movie (though with stars) and some of the scenes work better than others (the tempo varies) but the jokes and story are good, as is the acting. It's, all in all, a little gem.

              A girl uses the public toilet on a fairground. Nothing special? Maybe right..if she wasn't pregnant suddenly. Wondering what happened to her and why, she tries to get along with her life when one night a very funny archangel Gabriel (brilliant: Malcolm McDowell) comes through her window and gives the answers, while joking around what types of girls god prefers. The film is short, but rather funny and I really enjoyed the story. For all those who don't like to read the bible ;)
