3 out of 5 stars average martial arts movie.......2006-08-19

There is nothing special about Bloodfist, other than the fact that Don "The Dragon" Wilson likes to use real-life martial art champions in his movies. It makes little impact though, since most of the fight scenes are filled with punches and kicks that don't even make contact with the opponent. The story to Bloodfist is the typical avenge, this time, somone killed Don Wilson's character's (Jake Raye) brother. Jake sets out on a quest to find the killer, with the help of a man named Kwan. Kwan leads Jake to a gambling tournament in Manilla, where the killer is supposedly one of the fighters. The tournament is where most of the action takes place, but most of the fights are short and not too impressive. The ending of the movie has a nice little twist, when Jake does discover who the killer is. I don't want to give it away, but this has been done before in many movies before I'm sure. Overall, Bloodfist is just average. The biggest plus is that Don Wilson is actually one of the more decent martial art movie actors. Check out Bloodfist II, it has a simple story too, but a lot of action and a lot of much better fighting.

1 out of 5 stars Hahahaha!.......2005-04-26

This movie had me laughing so hard that my side, head, stomach, and cheeks hurt. If you are looking for a cheesy good time or just love watching B movies with some buddies, Bloodfist is made for you. But if you are looking for a credible action flick, don't even go there with this movie. Don "The Dragon" Wilson stars in this "action packed" movie, with absolutely nil acting ability whatsoever. It is really pretty comical to watch. Not to mention that this movie has "legendary" Billy Blanks in it. What more could you ask for?? (For all you lame brains out there, Billy Blanks created the Tai Bo work out system.) The plot to this movie doens't really make any sense at all, but that is part of what makes it so awesome! Like for example: In the beginning it explains that Don's brother only had one kidney and therefor couldn't fight. So Don gave him one of his kidneys so that he could fight again. However, that would only give Don one kidney, and therefor he wouldn't be able to fight either, and yet he does anyway. There are a crap load of plot holes in this movie like that. But overall, it is just a fun B movie.
What I learned from Bloodfist: You do NOT have to be even remotely attractive to play the main "seductress" in low budget movies.
If you liked Bloodfist, I recommend: Go watch the American Ninja series, Blood Sport, and Street Fighter...talk about a bad movie.

5 out of 5 stars No brain kickboxing fun.......2004-12-10

Going into to this film knowing it was a Roger Corman production, I really didn't expect much in the realm of really high quality film making. I expected a no brain action flick with a cheesy plot and and some good fights. That is exactly what I got. Bloodfist actually turned out even a better than I expected. We get Don "The Dragon" Wilson, who obviously can't act, entering a tournament to find his brothers killer. The fights are good and entertaining and Wilson shows off his kickboxing skills. If you like cheesy action films such as the American Ninja, Kickboxer, and Bloodsport series, then give Bloodfist a whirl as you will probably like it. I am still working on watching its 7 sequels!

3 out of 5 stars IT'S JUST FUN TO WATCH THE FIGHTS.......2004-08-15

IN THE MOLD OF ''KICKBOXER'' AND ''BLOODSPORT'', THIS KICKBOXING MOVIE IS ABOUT A YOUNG RETIRED KICKBOXER [DON ''THE DRAGON'' WILSON] WHO DECIDES TO GET BACK INTO THE SPORT TO FIND OUT WHO KILLED HIS BROTHER. THE ACTING IS SUB-PAR AND THE STORY IS VERY CLICHED, BUT THE FIGHTS JUST HAPPEN TO BE FUN TO WATCH. FEATURES A LOT OF MARTIAL ARTS CHAMPIONS FROM BACK IN THE 80S, INCLUDING A YOUNGER BILLY BLANKS. HOWEVER, THE ENDING IS QUITE SHOCKING AND I DIDN'T REALLY SEE IT COMING. AS FAR AS HIS ACTING GOES, DON ''THE DRAGON'' WILSON WAS A VERY BLAND CHOICE FOR A LEADING MAN. AND HE STILL IS TODAY. FOLLOWED BY SEVEN SEQUELS, ALL OF THEM STARRING DON ''THE DRAGON'' WILSON.

5 out of 5 stars Absolute fantastic kung fu franchise.......2003-04-22

WKA world Kickboxing Champ Don "The Dragon" Wilson didn't exactly start out his carrer as a thespian, but he makes a really cool action star. The plot is basically just another of those revenge stories, in which Wilson enters a karate tournament in manila to track down the punk that destroyed his brother. There is fantastic fighting here, and Karate cahamp/Tae Bo founder Billy Blanks makes a particularly fearsome opponent for the tiny Wilson. The story follows the standard revenge formula, but the action is very well done, and Don "The Dragon" Wilson makes the whole damn thing work.

4 out of 5 stars better than the 1st.......2006-08-19

Bloodfist 2 again stars Don "The Dragon" Wilson, along with an array of real-life martial arts world champions. Compared to the first Bloodfist (which was made only a year before this one), there is not much of a story, but the amount of action makes up for it greatly.

Jake Ray, now retired from fighting, goes to the Philippines to help his friend Vinny who has been captured by a man named Su. It becomes nothing more than a trap for Jake and a group of world class fighters, brought to fight in Su's own private tournament for his audience of guests. Su owns a group of his own fighters, including Vinny, who are on a special steroid and can't feel any pain when fighting.

Bloodifst 2 is packed with action (mostly fight scenes) from beginning to end. Unlike the 1st Bloodfist, the scenes are much better choregraphed and more realistic. The tournament is a lot better in this film too, lasting a good 20 minutes straight with fighters of a variety of styles and abilities. Some of the fights even get a little dirty - smashing heads into walls, using pipes, and a few bone-breakers.

Again, don't expect a story with this one and there is no suprise ending or any kind of twist of fate. Fortunately, it ends well on the action note. If you want an easy going movie with lots of well-choreographed fights, Bloodfist 2 is right up there.

5 out of 5 stars Entertaining kickboxing film that outdoes the original.......2004-12-10

For those of you that don't know, the Bloodfist films are the "Friday the 13th" series of kickboxing/karate flick as the shear number of these (their are 8!) outnumber any other series in the genre. I'm still in the process of viewing them all and of what I've seen, Bloodfist II is one of the best of the series and I even found it to be better than the original. The first film ripped off Bloodsport and this sequel rips off Enter the Dragon as Don "The Dragon" Wilson is kidnapped along with other champion fighters and taken to a remote island where they are forced to fight in gladiator style matches. The fighting scenes wer staged better than the first film and they were also more brutal. Though apparently Wilson plays the same character from the first film, his character doesn't appear to be the same as he is more tough, stern, and overall more likeable as an action character. Overall I found this be a highly entertaining B-Grade action flick that is sure to please fans.

2 out of 5 stars THE BLOODFIST MOVIES WERE UNRELATED AFTER THIS; 2.5 STARS.......2004-08-15

THIS TIME AROUND, JAKE RAE [DON ''THE DRAGON'' WILSON] GIVES UP HIS WORLD TITLE AFTER KILLING AN OPPONENT IN THE RING. BUT, THAT'S NOT THE LAST TIME HE'LL BE COMPETING. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, HE'S CAPTURED AND ALONG WITH SEVERAL OTHER MARTIAL ARTS CHAMPIONS, HE'S BOUGHT TO AN ISLAND FORTRESS TO TAKE ON SOME DRUGGED-UP FIGHTERS. NOT AS GOOD AS ITS PREDECESSOR. WHAT SAVES IT IS THE VERY GOOD FIGHT SEQUENCES THAT OCCUR NEAR THE END. THE STORYLINE FOR THIS MOVIE SEEMS TO BE VERY SIMILAR TO THAT OF ''ENTER THE DRAGON''. BUT MOST MARTIAL ARTS FANS WILL LIKE IT ANYWAY.

3 out of 5 stars And the winner is... Don "the dragon" Wilson.......2003-07-09

Bloodfist 2 was a pretty good low budget sequel. The plot was a little shaky but the martial arts was pretty good. Art Camacho provided the action sequences on most of Don's films which were most behalf on the mediocre side. The good thing about the films is the martial art champions that were brought. There were shoot fighting champions, tae kwon do, hapkido, judo, and shotokan. The last fight scenes in the ring were pretty good. Don Wilson displaying some great continueous single kicks. Overall a average martial arts film with some good fight sequences.

5 out of 5 stars Bloodfist II is TOO cool.......2003-04-22

I feel this film is a rare sequel to ver pass it's original, it has twice the action of the original film and features many more Martial Arts cahmpions. The story has Don "The Dragon" playing a karate champ who is kidnapped along with half a dozen other fighters. All enter (against their will) a tournament which gambler Mr. Su (Joe Mari Avelana) has rigged by pitting them all against steroid freaks with their own fighting skills. Wilson's climatic showdown with Maurice Smith is by far the best of the entire movie, and this flick stands out (as do all the other BLOODFIST titles) as a particularly fun Martial Arts saga.

3 out of 5 stars mark twain sam australia WA Perth.......2005-11-08

First of all in my opinion; Don 'The Dragon' Wilson is a brilliant fighter. I have seen some of his actual fights and he's just as good in the ring as well as on camera. This movie doesn't continue from the first and second volume of bloodfist although it has the same title name but the character has a different name. The main thing is that the fight scenes are just as good as the first two. My favourite fight scene is when he matched up with Stan 'the man' Longinidis an australian and Kickboxing Legend. Bloodfist 1,2 & 3 are far better than the rest of the bloodfist series.

3 out of 5 stars Bloodfist turns into a prison picture...........2004-12-10

Though there is a "III" in the title, this sequel is totally unrelated to the first to pictures. This film was originally made as "Force to Fight" but was retitled to part of the Bloodfist series when it was released video (Yes, believe it or not this baby was theatrically released). This time we get Don "The Dragon" Wilson being wrongfully accused of a crime and being sent to prison and is "forced to fight" in order to say alive, much like the Van Damne picture Death Warrent. Not a terrible low budget action outing, but far from the best in the overly long series.

2 out of 5 stars NOT A TRUE SEQUEL TO THE 1ST 2 MOVIES; 2.5 STARS.......2004-08-15

IN THIS UNRELATED CHAPTER OF THE ''BLOODFIST'' SERIES, A PENETENTIARY INMATE [DON ''THE DRAGON'' WILSON] MUST FIGHT FOR HIS LIFE INSIDE CELLBLOCK C. BENEFITS LARGELY FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE ORIGINAL SHAFT HIMSELF RICHARD ROUNDTREE, WHO PLAYS AN INMATE NAMED STARKS IN THIS MOVIE. OTHER THAN THAT, THIS IS JUST YOUR AVERAGE PRISON MOVIE THAT HAPPENS TO HAVE SOME MARTIAL ARTS IN IT. ''DEATH WARRANT'' DID THIS A LITTLE BETTER.

5 out of 5 stars rent this one, and you'll be forced to watch 'em all.......2003-04-22

Any TRUE Martial Arts fan who has seen the Bloodfist films will agree with me when I say that this flick rocks AND rolls (Although I can't help but feel that the caption FORCED TO FIGHT may have worked better for Bloodfist II.)As both a Kickboxer (who held many championships in the World Kickboxing Association)and an action star, Don "The Dragon" Wilson is superb. There's not much story here other than the bad guys want The good guy dead, but this movie is set in a maximum security prison, so the story is very much an secondary consideration (which is often the case with kung fu movies.) Not only is the fighting terrific, but Don "The Dragon" even gets to do more acting than usual in his films. FORCED TO FIGHT may not be a critical favorite, but it works exceptionally well.

4 out of 5 stars Not too shabby........2004-12-19

For a low budget direct-to-video action flick, this doesn't come off to bad. It stars real like Kickboxing champion Don "The Dragon" Wilson as an ex-CIA agent who's past back to haunt him when he and his son are targeted for murder. Some decent plot twists and Don's sub par acting is still likeable. I was actually surprised to see this film retitled as part of the Bloodfist series as I originally saw it on video as just Hard Way Out. That's ok that it was retitled Bloodfist VIII: Hard Way Out as it makes my Bloodfist collection that much longer.

3 out of 5 stars Best of Don "The Dragon's" flicks.......1999-02-20

This is the best (admitedly that's not saying much) of überawful Don "the Dragon" Wilson's chop socky flicks, redeemed by good writing and a story that holds your interest. Some good martial arts action, as well. If you want to turn off your brain for an evening, this is a good call.

2 out of 5 stars just don't make 'em like they used to.......2007-06-22

Besides the extremely low production quailty of this movie, Bloodfist 2050 is an exact clone of both, ironically, the first Bloodfist and another martial arts movie, "Dragon Fire". Combine all of these with little exciting fighting, despite a martial artist filled tournament, and Bloodfist 2050 turns out to be an hour and 18 minute movie that still seems too long and doesn't end quick enough.

One, it's like Bloodfist. It is the very same storyline. A fighter is involved in pit-fighting, and is killed outside of the ring at the beginning of the film. His brother, Alex Darko (Matt Mullins) seeks revenge and a man from the police force named Detective Marino (Joe Sabatino) offers assistance. Matt must fight in the tournament, and studies each fighter with Marino before he fights them, just like Kwan (Jose Mari Avellana, who actually plays the fight MC in Bloodfist 2050) and Jake Ray study each fighter in the first Bloodfist. The conclusion to who the killer is, is the exact same as Bloodfist.

Two, it's like Dragon Fire. Matt plays "the outsider" in a corrupt and crummy L.A. torn future. Pointless scene after pointless scene takes place in the nudy bar, where pointless & stupid shots of nude dancers distract us, or attempt to, from the important dialouge from the main characters. And just like Dragon Fire, there is the similar tournament, avenging a brother's death, and the killer is the same predictable dude.

The only bright spot of the movie - Matt Mullins. He is a refreshing face, with much fluidity in his fights and acrobatics much like Ron Hall & Marc Dacascos. I would stand enjoying to see him again, but hopefully in some better quality productions.

As for fight action, I was hoping for a great deal with there being a tournament and all. Sadly, the tournaments were far more exciting in the first Bloodfist and Dragon Fire. In Bloodfist 2050, each fight is very short and involves little choreography, though the fights look more realistic than the first Bloodfist, and sounds effects are ok.

Bloodfist 2050 was made in 2005 but look like it was made in 1975. Bad picture and terrible use of a wide mix and variety of outdoor shots, from horrible digital shots that make L.A. look like a computer game, from clips borrowed from what I think was a 1990 movie titled "The Great Los Angeles Earthquake". But I am sure on the budget these guys had to work with, it could be worse. Gone are the days of at least a decent B-action american martial arts movie. With the exception of "The Circuit" series, anything after the year 2000 is just rough. Bloodfist 2050 worth watching only for Matt Mullins, or if you are desperate.

5 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good fifth entry.......2004-12-11

Bloodfist IV was good and V is surprisingly even better. The Bloodfist series with each sequel seems to be fleshing out more and more story. The first two films were no brain karate flicks in which the story took a back seat. But with IV and V, the story is actually more important than the well staged fights. Like the previous sequels, there is no connection to the other films so you don't have to worry about watching these babies in order. This time Don "The Dragon" Wilson wakes up in a hospital after being shot in the head...only he has no memory of who he is. Suddenly he is being pursued by crimeloards and the CIA. Was he a ciminal or was he a undercover offical? Yes the story sounds reminicent of The Long Kiss Goodnight, but every Roger Corman production I have ever seen borrows from some other film so it was not surprsing. In Conclusion I found the film to use its tight budget really well and I dug the amount of time that went into to the script to come up with some unique plot twists.

5 out of 5 stars Kung fu Hong Kong-style.......2003-08-20

It's probably a well-known fact that some of the best martial arts movies come from Hong Kong. CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON is a contemporary classic from Hong Kong. Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Chow Yun-Fat are all martial arts legends who have made it big through the Hong Kong cinema. Cory Yuen (aka Yuen Woo Ping) has made himself a household name by staging the karate battles in such outstanding kung fu films as THE MATRIX, CROUCHING TIGER, THE ONE, CRADLE 2 THE GRAVE, THE TRANSPORTER, etc.

Don "The Dragon" Wilson, WKA World Light-Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion, stars in BLOODFIST V:HUMAN TARGET, a movie very much in the tradition of Hong Kong cinema. "The Dragon" plays Jim Stanton, a federal agent hell-bent on breaking up the arms-smuggling ring of Kwon, a nefarious Chinese criminal whose latest deal involves some stolen plutonium. Unfortunately, Stanton is shot in the head and left for dead by some of Kwon's meanies. He awakens in a hospital bed with his memory completely erased. Both Kwon and Stanton's superiors, who believe he's become a double agent, have him at the top of their hit lists, making his "wife" Candy (Denice Duff) his only ally.

There's no denying that HUMAN TARGET's martial arts sequences are lavish and flashy. One of the great things about Don "The Dragon"'s movies is that he's always given worthy opponents to go toe-to-toe with. In HUMAN TARGET, one of them is Steve James, whose been in such karate gems as the AMERICAN NINJA series. I rank him at the same level of all the best opponent's Don "The Dragon" stuck it out with, including Billy Blanks (BLOODFIST), Maurice Smith (BLOODFIST II), Gary Daniels (BLOODFIST IV:DIE TRYING), and Matthias Hues (BLACKBELT).

Still, it's Don "The Dragon"'s movie, all the way, and how better to showcase his astonishing kickboxing abilities than to put him in a Hong Kong-esque kung fu movie?

5 out of 5 stars Out of nowhere!.......2003-04-28

I had no expectations when I popped in this video, which might be why I absolutely thought it was the greatest film since "Total Recall." Great twists and turns, and "The Dragon" was quite good. I appreciate his realistic fighting style rather than all this "wire work" that is so preposterous in movies like "The Matrix." This film really deserves attention. It is that good. I highly suggest getting this film.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome kickboxing picture!.......2003-02-17

Move over Steven Segal. This picture has a great plot, filled with turns in the plot that keep you guessing, never knowing who to trust. Denise Duff is quite good in this. Who is she?! Usually, in a kickboxing film you only get long drawn out fights and little story. This film has terrific fights that don't outlast their welcome and a story that really works. Technical credits are solid. Writing and directing are top notch.

5 out of 5 stars A great kickboxing action thriller!.......2001-06-25

The plot kept me guessing. Loved the twists and turns and the action. Fights were realistic...no absurd acrobatics like other flicks. Acting and tech credits were decent. Directing and writing impressed me. DVD looks fantastic.

4 out of 5 stars one of Don's best.......2007-04-27

It's not a perfect film. Now that thats out of the way, everything else about Bloodifst IV is. The fights are very realistic. The characters are convincing. The story is exceptional with twists, surprises, and a plot that keeps you guessing. For a B movie, and especially a Don Wilson movie, this is top notch.

Bloodfist IV has not a single highlight moment that stands out in the film. Instead, every scene keeps you equally engaged form beginning to end. I was captured by the story before the action in this one. This is one of those movies where the time seems to fly by while watching it, it was that good. Don't go into this movie thinking Hollywood blockbuster, or it will suck. But from the viewpoint of a typical martial arts film, this is a highlight.

The fights are only a minute to 3 minutes in length, each. But every fight is very well choreographed, looking real and adding to the story. Gary Daniels has a role in Bloodfist IV, and participates against Don Wilson in 2 of the best fights in the movie. Dale Jacoby (Bloodmatch, Ring of Fire) also has a small role, and takes part of another very good fight near the end, in a restaurant. Nothing is memorable like say Jackie Chan's 20 minute fight in Legend of Drunken Master, or Jet Li's in Fist of Legend. But you get real quailty action that is believable.

Bloodfist IV is just a good solid movie, even for a movie period. Nothing in this film puts you quite on the edge of your seat, but I give 4 stars for almost being there from start to finish.

5 out of 5 stars Sharp improvement over part "III".......2004-12-10

Like the third film, part "IV" has no story connection to any of the other films in the series and this trend would continue throughout the rest of the films. Even though it has no connection, it actually turnes out to be one of the best in the series. The major difference here is that there is an actual plot to the story with twists, not just no brain action like in the first two films. Don "The Dragon" Wilson this time is a Repo Man that repossesses a car that contains nuclear triggers. Of course this is very bad and the owner in turn kidnapes his daugher. Dumb move on his part. The action is tremendous and Wilson's acting is starting to improve. Again, this is one of if not the best making it a sharp improvement over the cliche prision picture that called itself "Bloodfist III". This gets a 5 star rating on the B-Action chart.

5 out of 5 stars He ain't called "The Dragon" for nothin'.......2003-04-22

I just sort of stumbled onto the low-budgeted, popular kung-fu action series, BLOODFIST. Mind you, after Bloodfist II, these movies bare no connection to each other, so after Bloodfist II, it really doesn't matter what order you watch them in.
Bloodfist IV:Die Trying was the first one I saw, and let me tell you, it quite literally kicks [rear-end]. Don "The Dragon" Wilson isn't as bad of an actor as his reputation might suggest, and he makes a very impressive action star. Every last fight in all the Bloodfist movies is fantastic, and Die Trying is no exception. The best one here is withou a doubt the one in the room full of tear gas. I own the first four Bloodfist movies, and
Bloodfist VII:Manhunt, and I'm relentlessly hunting down Bloodfist V:Human Target and Bloodfist VI:Ground Zero on the internet, as well as some of Wilson's other flicks, like Blackbelt and The Capitol Conspiracy. Trust me, if you enjoy the high kickin' performances of Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Jean-Claude Van Damme, or if your'e familiar with legends like Bruce Lee, or his son Brandon Lee, Don "The Dragon" Wilson is right up your alley, and the Bloodfist series is a great place to start.

4 out of 5 stars C-grade storyScript, A-grade M.A. fighting& Culty villainess.......2003-03-30

Yes, very much the Martial-arts movie, but fights/fighting is perhaps even above-average, I wouldn't particularly choose Don Wilson or any of his opponents like Daniels or the rest seen here even if I was looking for a fight, based on this, are brutal, dirty, brawlish and relatively believable, except perhaps how much punishment Wilson and Daniels heap on each other before there is a winner. The fight in the restaurant towards the end, between Wilson and the two thugs, was pretty real, you could almost believe that might happen with 3 good street-fighters or something..its no messing around direct sort of fighting compared to some movie martial-arts.

Director Sziller missed an opportunity with this, IMO, to further use and play-up the female villainess/fighter , the dare i say fabulous late Cat Sassoon, who battles Wilson twice during the movie: jumping him and heaping a beating on him in the movies last fight sequence, before Wilson turns it around just as hes about to be finished off with her trademark switchblade.

Now Catya Sassoons 'Lisa' would have to be one of the most evil//sadistic/sexy femme fatales villainess/henchwoman ever to appear on any screen,as far as actual hands-on violence villainesses go anyway, in this second clash with Wilson her 'outfit' speaks for itself, and shes the main reason many will watch or want to own this video, frankly, but we see FAR too little of her, despite the 40-second treat of this last fight, which she loses by KO in the end, sadly, although well ahead on points at the time, lol..the would-be devastating kick to Wilsons groin we could barely see,( black boot against a very dark background set, which WOULD have won the fight for her in the real world, surely!) even though patently obvious it was so good we were totally ripped-off even here.

Now Sassoon, who starred in 'AngelFist' as the main character, is sometimes talked about as not having genuine martial-arts ability, and I'm not an expert, couldn't say, I know she held some M.A. title in real-life,NA Forms/Weapons or something, but I guess there are lots of cereal-box M.A. titles, but that criticism is more for hard-core MA fans than for fans like me,(surely few would believe that in real-life Sassoon or any other female fighter could hold their own with Wilson or the the other men in the movie, but that is SO NOT the point !)to me, and many I'm sure, the unique key with Sassoon was her appearance, she was attractive, yes, with good figure, so are many others, maybe even some female fighters, but she has a particular one-off appearance and attitude with slicked-back hair as here that could have made her the #1 film villainess cult icon of this genre of cinema history, right here, in this film. Now, Sziller could have made his cult-mark with this film, by showcasing her more, more scenes, her 'doing' a few more people, including goodies, she kills in split-second two fellow bad-guys that have outlived their usefulness in one devastating scene , actually, but Sziller, apart from under-using her, also makes a dogs-breakfast of basic lighting in most of her scenes in the movie, the scene at the door with the other two bad-guys just mentioned is totally badly lit and filmed, and so is her final fight with Wilson, filmed in a gloomy room, with 'Lisas' unique spine-tingling dark looks and eye-goggling black outfit and boots making it sadly even more difficult to see her properly against background as she goes about punishing Wilson down the staircase, across the floor, and up against the wall, at the fight climax..which you want to see every detail of. I've got stills of this sequence, and its apparent in them how poor the direction and floor-management was, and how much this cost, the film and probably Sassoons own stardom.

Apparently Wilson remade the film himself, I'm not sure if he reprised her character and who played her,Sassoon was not in it, and if it was any improvement in lighting and filming at least, but it was a 'stinker' generally, apparently, was worse than this in film merit terms.. Sassoon lost her life tragically in 2001, we could and should have seen more of her, and we would have, if better-promoted through this film, which had the makings but not the execution.

Good bone-crunching brawling fight-scenes, though..Don't 'pick on' Don Wilson, would be my instinct and advice.

3 out of 5 stars Decent seventh entry...........2004-12-19

Bloodfist VII was a slight improvement over the hooky die hard Rip-off Bloodfist VI, but I found the series to be wearing a little thin by now. This time Don "The Dragon" Wilson is an ex-Special Forces agent that gets wrongfully blamed for murder and then is pursued by the cops. Sounds like "The Fugitive" you say? Well, yes it respembles that film on some aspects. If you liked the first films, you will no doubt like this one as well.

Trivia: Look for Mad TV's Michael McDonald as the "Running Cop". He has actually appeared in three of the Bloodfist films. He also played the jeweler in Bloodfist V and a nuclear technician in Bloodfist VI.

3 out of 5 stars Don the Dragon returns.......2002-02-02

This was an average movie with the one true standout being that Paulo Tocha(Paco the Tai fighter from Bloodsport, Born to defence ect.) is here to be the for hide tough guy who doesn't get to display any of his Tai fighting skill and gets his neck snapped. Bad use of talent if you ask me. Don the dragon offers his standard fare as usual.

5 out of 5 stars Don Wilson is your god and mine!!!!.......2002-01-08

Any fan of B grade martial arts movies knows who Don "The Dragon" Wilson is. This is on par with the other 6 Bloodfist movies. You won't get much from this flick but it has Don kicking people in the face so what more do you need. Hit MUTE and add your own dialogue, it's twice as good.

1 out of 5 stars Don't bother.......1999-09-22

I feel it is my responsibility to let the world know that this video is a waste of a precious pair of hours of your short life. No plot and bad acting make for a must-miss film. I wish there had been someone to warn me.

4 out of 5 stars Hooky Die Hardish sequel..........2004-12-11

I actually really liked Bloodfist IV and V as the stories were decent along with the action, so in turn I had higher expecations for Bloodfist VI. BF VI jus comes off being another hooky Die Hard rip-off with some terrorists breaking into a nuclear missle base and threatening to explode one. Now its up to Don "The Dragon" Wilson to stop them. If you found the other B-action entries into this series enjoyable, you might find some enjoyment in this entry. I basically own it to complete my Bloodfist collection.

5 out of 5 stars Now that's what I call kickboxing.......2003-06-12

Here comes the latest of the DIE HARD knock offs, only this is one of the good ones. Don "The Dragon" is Nick Corrigan, a military courier who was demoted for the wrong reasons and who packs a mean punch. He's on his way to a U.S. nuclear missile launch site at the same time when terrorists have shown up and taken control. Led by the charismatic "Party of Allah" Arab terrorist Fawkes (Jonathan Fuller), they have made demands for $100 million or they'll start shooting nukes at U.S. cities. Of course, their bad guys, and even if they get their money, they'll still shoot an ICBM at NYC. Corrigan shows up to try to stop them, using his martial arts skills to get the job done. As I said, this is one of our DIE HARD knock offs, but as I also said, this one of the good ones;in fact, it's one of the best, with more kung fu fighting and cooler sets than most of the others. Don "The Dragon" clearly is a world champion and, like I've said before in my reviews, is not as bad an actor as most other critics peg him as. Each and every one of the BLOODFIST films should've made it to theatres, not just the first three. I'm still debating with myself over whether GROUND ZERO or DIE TRYING are the best in the series, but I suppose it doesn't matter. As long as Don "The Dragon" can still carry a action film on his pinky their kick [boo-te] kung fu flicks.
