1 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!.......2006-05-16

this was a terrible sequel to a pretty good movie. it begins with a group of russian soldiers and an american commander leading them, how chessy, go looking for the snake to capture it and make some dough. they are successful at doing so but when they get it on a plane and ship it to america some dumb russians come along and shoot the plane down.then they bring it to some facility. when greg larson(zabka) finds out that the snake got out he tries to find it and kill it. he takes a few tourists along with him(ashbrook) and some other russian person and go hunting for it. the weirdest thing is the 2nd snake. it justs comes out of no where all of a sudden. he all of a sudden comes along when the other snake gets 1 of the guys and starts eating him and the other snake juts comes out of no where and starts eatin him 2. in genereal this was a horrible movie with awful effects and terrible acting. for the love of god do not see this movie.

1 out of 5 stars It watched it on fast forward!.......2005-09-07

Except for two cuties: William Zabka and Dana Ashbrook! Especially Dana who constantly having a hard-on!

3 out of 5 stars Python II.......2004-08-07

I really loved Python 1 after I bought it, so I ordered Python II off of amazon and it was great! It's not as entertaining and definetly not as funny as the first Python, but it's still fun to watch. Greg Larson(William "Billy" Zabka) returns in Python II as Agent Larson on a mission to capture another large snake that has again escaped due to an airplane crash. This time around the battle rages on in Russia. I wish there were some more special features on this disk, a commentary would be cool.

1 out of 5 stars MONTY'S MORE FRIGHTENING.......2004-03-12

Okay, we open with this brother American army dude telling these Russain soldiers what their mission is: capture (not kill) a huge python that somehow got thrown out of a plane and landed in Russia? Then we have this big fight scene where we hardly ever see the snake; unfortunately, with the major supporting cast being Russian or something, we can't hardly ever understand what they are saying. Then, when they load the snake onto a plane, some Russian rebels for no apparent reason shoot the plane down and the snake ends up in a Russian laboratory. Next we meet Dana Ashbrook as an American ex-baseball player who is now running a transport service with his Russian wife. They meet the irrepressible William Zabka as some kind of American dude who hires them to transport something (obviously the snake)...from here on, it's simply a matter of chasing and dodging the snake(s)---where did the other one come from! Whew!
Here's the bottom line:
STORY: Miserably constructed; the ex-baseball player obviously hit somebody so hard with one of his pitches that he is now paralyzed? Oh, boy! Score: 0
CAST: Poor William Zabka. This guy has played bad since his debut in KARATE KID, and it's a shame. He has a tough guy, yet boyish good looks, but he always plays the butthole. Let's give him a movie where he is the hero for a change. Dana Ashbrook of FALCON CREST has always been one of those actors who manages to constantly annoy me; his scene where he throws the bomb into the snake's mouth is one of the funniest scenes I've witnessed in a horror movie; come on! The rest of the cast is Russian, so who knows if they were any good or not. SCORE: 2 (for Zabka only).
TECHNICAL: Poor, to say the least.
DIRECTION: What? Did somebody helm this movie? SCORE: 0

1 out of 5 stars Not the worst movie ever, but by far the most inept........2004-03-01

I can't solemnly swear that I actually watched all of Python II, rather after ten minutes I screwed around on amazon.com etc and just listened to the dialogue and checking out the screen every 30 seconds or so.

Do I really need to tell you that plot (involving, *gasp* the military!) is simplistic contrived and lame? That it will find inconsequential characters in the bowels of a facility? That we learn most of their names when they die and another character screams "Mike! NOOOOOOOOOOO!"? That the special effects on the covor are about as good as the ones in the film? That the dialogue is like listening to a parrot strapped into a cuisinart? Or that the score uses snare drums when the military men appear? Or that there is not an iota of tension, fear or humor?

I mean, c'mon... the film is called PYTHON II (do I need to tell you that the roman numeral 2 is actually a pair of red slash marks?)

It's worse than Carnosaur.....

It's not however, the worst film ever made. It isn't offensive, just jaw-dropping, shockingly, mind-bogglingly awful, and an utter waste of time.

By the way, if you and your buds are looking to get drunk and make fun of a bad horror film for kicks don't come near this... I recommend JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 for that

3 out of 5 stars God help me, I enjoyed this........2006-08-02

BOA VS PYTHON is a poorly made movie with bad effects, horrid acting, and crap diolague. But may God have mercy on my soul, I had a stupid grin on my face almost the entire runtime.

A giant python escapes from a cargo truck, so this rich buttmunch and a hunting team go after it. See, hunting and killing the snake was always their intention. But the government has other plans, sending a giant boa constrictor after the python to kill it. Of course, the whole situation gets out of hand soon enough.

The snakes never actually fight until the last 10 minutes, but the showdown is kind of cool, altough breif. If you like crappy monster movies, rent BOA VS PYTHON. You may or may not enjoy yourself.

2 out of 5 stars not awful but definetly good.......2006-05-17

this film was pretty lousy and boring. some big game hunter guy or something has this guy gets one of the snakes the python and is going 2 release it somewhere so he can hunt it. but of course them snake gets loose. wat a surprise. so he finds out it got away and he and some other people go hunting it. then their is another group of people trying to catch it as well and kill it. one of the other persons has a 100 foot boa at his little aquaium or something and they let it go to try and catch the python. but the boa starts mating with the python and they become friends and start eating all the people. but the start to fight each other when the python eats 1 of the eggs. there was 1 good thing though, the blond was very interesting to look at and thts rely the only reason i stuck around to watch this movie. this movie rely had no plot and bad acting and horrible cgi effects. dont waist ur time watching this movie.

1 out of 5 stars ..........2006-03-13

I've noticed my reviews are, for the most part, either 1 or 5 star reviews. Once again, I have encountered a product that cannot logically be given anything higher than 1 star. I rented Boa vs. Python expecting to witness the most juvenile and sophomoric movie ever. What I witnessed was the most juvenile and sophomoric movie ever, and it wasn't even fun to watch in some prehistoric level of my brain. It was painful and damaging, like trudging through infected syringes.

Okay, this is a total B movie. Plot holes are expected. (Like someone half-way opening the cage that's holding a giant snake to tranquilize it with a tiny pistol. Who could have ever expected a snakes' tail to fit through an enormous opening?) Bad special effects are expected. (The snakes seem to glow in dark, subterranean environments. Excellent.) Archetypical characters are expected. (Silent Indian guy with arrows? Check. Rambo guy with a flamethrower? Check. Nondescript female lead? Check.)
... But this movie is a grand new level of DIRKA DIRKA. This is a film that promises two giant snakes fighting in a city, with exploding helicopters; as proudly displayed on the cover. What we have is a movie featuring a girl getting orally pleasured by a giant snake, a snake that later fights another giant snake in some dark tunnel for less than a minute. What the hell is this? It's not funny or the least bit entertaining. Recommended if you want to see how low the bar can go.
- Thus says the Pellington

3 out of 5 stars Another Snake Feature.......2006-02-18

First off let me say that I'm a big fan of the big snake movies, but this movie was kind of dissapointing. One reason, the CG was odd, the snakes looked cartoonish with their huge bulgy eyes and their bright color. Another reason was the corny taglines the character Broddick kept saying like, "We're in Python country." and, "How do you like you meat?" Last, the python looked no different from the boa other than their color. If you, like me, are a fan of snake movies than you might want to give this movie a chance, but if you aren't, then forget that you ever even heard about this movie.

The Complete Monty Python's Flying Circus Megaset
While more cautious fans may want to pick and choose among the previously released individual volumes of Monty Python for their collection, true Pythonites will want to own this definitive, 14-volume DVD-only boxed set that contains all 45 episodes (in chronological order) of Monty Python's Flying Circus. This "persistently silly" collection encompasses three-and-a-half seasons of dead parrots, cross-dressing lumberjacks, loonies, upper class twits, and spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, baked beans, spam, spam, and spam. Click past the occasional clunker and go directly to such signature sketches as the Ministry of Silly Walks, the Spanish Inquisition, the Fish-Slapping Dance, the Dead Parrot Sketch, the Lumberjack Song, the Cheese Shop, the Argument Clinic, and Nudge, Nudge. Taken as a whole, one marvels at how Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, and Terry Gilliam thoroughly subverted television convention with "something completely different," like sketches with no punch lines ("Your average TV viewer isn't going to understand this"). A warning to the uninitiated: there is much "material that some may find offensive, but which is really smashing." Violations of something called the "Strange Sketch Act" are the least of the troupe's offenses, as witness the Oscar Wilde Sketch, the Dirty Vicar Sketch, and the Most Awful Family in Britain Sketch, all of which achieve "the really gross awfulness" all Python fans are looking for. Say no more. --Donald Liebenson

    Life of Python
And now for Monty Python fans who think they have seen everything, the BBC commemorates the 30th anniversary of the debut of Monty Python's Flying Circus with this treasure trove of new sketches performed by the Pythons (minus spoilsport Eric Idle, and, of course, ex-Python Graham Chapman); new interviews with all the surviving members; classic clips; and recently discovered and rarely seen Python material unearthed from the BBC archives. Volume 1, It's... the Monty Python Story, is a sketchy history, recalling the highs (the first two seasons of the groundbreaking TV series and Life of Brian) and the lows (the death of Chapman, who in a poignant clip from his memorial service is eulogized by John Cleese as a "freeloading bastard"). Volume 2 really delivers the goods, including a long-lost 10-minute film Monty Python created for the 1971 Pan-European May Day Festival. Michael Palin spoofs his travel shows by giving viewers a tour of "Pythonland." He revisits the actual locations where such classic Python sketches as the Ministry of Silly Walks and the Fish Slapping Dance were filmed. South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone offer an animated tribute (the Dead Kenny sketch), while Meatloaf goes behind the music to reveal the inspiration behind the Python's most memorable songs. Volume 3 contains "The Lost German Episode" of Monty Python's Fliegender Zirkus, which was created for German television (don't worry; it's in English) and has never been broadcast in the United States. This is comedy's equivalent to a surviving-Beatles reunion, and though the new sketches and animations are hit and miss, it is heartening to see that the Pythons are still loony after all these years. It is a particular pleasure to see the Gumbys banging bricks once again. And Python sexpot Carol Cleveland is holding up rather well, if you know what I mean, say no more, nudge nudge. --Donald Liebenson
