Great movie, not a blockbuster but keeps your interest, great settings and Patricia Arquette is very cute in a nice girl gone wrong kinda role.
Highly recommend this movie.
A Very Funny, Witty, And Enjoyable Film: Underrated!.......2006-10-18
Some people may not consider this a five-star film, but I sure do [maybe I am a bit biased on this one] However, I thought the entire film was very good, and funny to boot. Harry Talbot (Michael Madsen) has just been released from prison. While playing poker he wins a cadillac from one of the losers. However, he was meant to lose. In the back of the trunk is the body of a man who has just been murdered by the mob. However, the card players don't realize that there is something important on this dead man's body. As Harry heads off to Nevada, he finds himself stalked by the mob: Led by a character named Zand (Paul Ben-Victor).
Along the way Harry meets Kit Califano (Patricia Arquette) who is out to kill the man who murdered her father. He father was connected to the mob. She is attempting to kill mob boss Santino (Seymour Cassel). Harry knows nothing about Kit's past, or who she is. That is not until he finds himself pursued by the hitmen sent to grab Kit and take her home. Kit's grandmother is now head of the mob family, and she is trying to rein in her granddaughter.
Meanwhile, there is still the question of the missing dead man, whose body another mob gang wants. [he has the key to a safe with millions of dollars] When they finally track Harry down, they can't find it on the dead man's body. The problem is that the deceased individual swallowed the key to prevent it from being found [he was being tortured at the time]. The film is not for everyone, and some may not think it is that good. I do, and believe it is very underrated. The film also stars Billy Bob Thornton, [as the character Coldface] the card player who intentionally lost the cadillac to Harry. Recommended with caution. Rent it first to see if it is your taste. I think the film is very good, quirky and underrated. [Stars: 4.5]

I'd have to echo the previous reviewers and say this is an excellent road picture. WIth a great cast.

Patricia Arquette and Michael Madsen are amazingly wonderful in this film. And I don't understand why this film is not on sale anymore. Is there any way we could get it back. I'm dying to buy it. This is the best road movie I've ever seen in years !

This is one rockin road pic, it just keeps getting stranger, I cuoldn't stop laughing. Rustam Branaman and Billy Bob thornton are great as bad guys.
