I teach Kindergarten and this is my FAVORITE video for this age group. (First and second graders like it too. Scamper has some exciting adventures and really captures the attention of the children. Also, as an added bonus, the cartoon creators were able to sneak in a lot of scientific facts without the kids catching on that they were learning while they were having fun!

This CD is a marvelous one for all children; it is clean, provides a good moral and is very entertaining. My granddaughter, aged 2, loves to watch it over and over.

I loved this when I was little it is a cute family film that along with lessons the penguins teach children has also some pretty good facts that they generally work into it that you learn as you watch It has good comedy but I can't sit still watching the whole thing anymore. It is a good movie though and dosn't perticularly get excitng until Scamper and Snowflake meet Louie on the ship

I grew up watching this movie as a kid and when I found it on Amazon, I ordered it right away. This movie is great for the entire family to watch and kids can learn life lessons.

Scamper the penguin is the only chick in his family, but he makes friends with Snowflake who is also a one chick child. Scamper loves to take adventures, hence the name "The Adventures of Scamper." Well, Scamper and Snowflake go on an adventure onto a ship where humans are capturing penguins for the zoo. They get caught and are put in a cage. They do manage to get out of the cage and meet a macaroni penguin. The three end up leaving the ship and find their way back to home.

Because of Scampers first adventure in leaving home, he thinks that he will be in trouble by his parents, but not this time. He and Snowflake are greeted by family and friends with a warm welcome home. And because they are much older now, they can now swim and hunt for their own food in the ocean. They don't need to rely on their parents as much now, than they did when they were younger.

It's a cute movie with a no surprise happy ending, but still is enjoyable to watch. I would recommend this to 8 year-olds and under, but I still watch it even though I'm no longer 8.
