My wife really loves Tom Selleck, so we really liked the movie. We ordered the other two in the series and are waiting for the forth one to come out on DVD. When it does, you can be sure that we will order it.

4 out of 5 stars Stone Cold w/ Tom Selleck.......2007-06-27

This movie is well done and has a good story. IF you like the Spenser series and others by this author, you will enjoy the mystery plot. Tom Selleck has enhanced a good story, and plays the part of Sheriff Stone as one would imagine in reading the story.

This is avery good and typical job of all Tom Selick's movies. He is one of the best. Could have done without the sex scenes. Would have made it an even better movie.

After looking for this for awhile, it is finally here. Excellent action, good acting. The dvd looks and sounds great. I guess I dont have to buy a $30 video tape after all.

5 out of 5 stars Must Read for Stone Cold Fans Region 1 Finally Available!.......2007-06-27

I think this early 90's classic speaks for itself. If you love great action movies or were a fan of the Boz this movie is for you. Fast moving great action all the time some cheezy lines but what do you expect it's a B movie with your basic biker plot. I personally have been waiting for this to come to region one as the non region dvd's it was available on were recorded very crappy.

As for the dvd itself I think it is very good for what it is. List price on most major outlet sites is $[...] and if you are spending $[...] that isn't bad for this product. It is important to remember that Stone Group Pictures Company originally put out this movie and went out of business shortly there after. This movie was shot in 1:33:1 and was bought out by Columbia pictures who is the company who brought it to HBO and let the movie be played for quite a few years through the early to late 90's. Although the movie was put out in a limited amount of theaters it's the main purpose Stone Group had was to sell it to cable TV so that is why it was shot in 1:33. Now the movie has changed hands again as MGM is behind the dvd. I agree with the other guy on here who complained about the widescreen version. It is crap a bunch of the picture is cut out but that is the best they could do to make it widescreen and these days that is all people want. To take a 1:33 image and reduce it to 1:85 or even worse in some cases as bad as 235:1 it kills the picture. You have to watch for this stuff if you are a widescreen buf. Usually it will say on the back of the DVD that it is "matted widescreen" which means they took a bigger image and reduced it to make it widescreen because the negative they had was not compatiable to be made into a true widescreen as is the case in this B movie flick. Anyway for those of you who love this movie set you widescreen TV to 4:3 mode put the dvd on the fullscreen side and sit back and enjoy the show. I did and enjoyed the movie for the first time in a long time because my VHS was shot and a region free dvd I bought of it looked worse than did that of my overwatched sometimes flickering VHS. I am glad this flick has finally been put out in our region.

4 out of 5 stars Deceiving product info for a great action flick........2007-06-15

OK, this is a review of the DVD. I've already reviewed this fantastic biker flick elsewhere on this site and you fans deserve to know what you are paying for so read this before you rush out and buy this crappy DVD release.

First of all, the DVD clearly states that is presents a Widescreeen and Fullscreen version. But then if you look further into the specs listed, it also says the DVD is being presented in 1:33:1 which is a sneaky way of saying 4:3 or as we most understand that to be.....FULLSCREEN!

This DVD is a flipper, and on the unmarked side you get what appears to be a fullscreen presentation. Now, flip it over to the side that is actually marked "Widescreen" and you will get NOT a widescreen version, but a fullscreen version that has been cropped at the top and the bottom so as to give the false appearance of being widescreen. But as you watch, you will notice that key images in certain scenes are only 1/2 visible. It became obvious when I got the tape measure out to confirm what I already suspected....cropped top and bottom. Shame shame shame.

The sound gets no props either. Again the specs tell you that this is a Dolby Surround audio, but it doesn't sound like it. All the sound is to the front, and mostly directed to the center channel. My impression is that this is basically a "stereo" mixing that does nothing to enhance the action. The sound you hear in the surround speakers is just residual noise, not much else. You'll have to listen to this one at full volume for effect.

On the plus side, the DVD transfer is very crisp and clean. The images are sharp, and the colors are very deep. I'm shocked actually at the clarity of detail for such a lousy DVD treatment, but the video looks great. Nothing else in the package, no extras, no liner notes, no bios, nada. So there you go, buy this DVD because you love the movie, but don't buy it expecting to be blown away by it cause you likely wont be unless you're seeing it for the first time. 5 stars for the movie minus one pitiful star for this DVD.

2 out of 5 stars Inane biker flick.......2007-06-15

Bad acting, overused storyline-Brian Bosworth plays a cop who infiltrates a sadistic biker gang to bring them to justice. Senseless to the point of annoying.

5 out of 5 stars You've got a clean-up on Aisle Four.......2007-06-12

I'm like everyone else who is thrilled this B-movie masterpiece is finally getting the DVD treatment. Some of the acting is forgettable, some of the story lines are cliche - but the action is generally non-stop, everything explodes, and Henricksen and Forsythe are on top of their games. The State Capitol of Arkansas was "rented out" for the final scene, on Bill Clinton's watch! Fantastic! Thanks to the fansite (google stonecoldmovie) for letting me know this day is coming!

The seventh installment in the long-lived Land Before Time series corrals the familiar cast of cute-faced prehistoric friends for a thoughtful examination of character. When Littlefoot spies a flying rock that crackles through the sky ablaze "like fire in the trees," the grownups speculate that it may have been a stone of cold fire, capable of performing miracles. Soon enough, flyer Petrie's egomaniac Uncle Pterano catches wind of the sighting and hatches a devious plan involving kidnapping the doe-eyed, adorable Ducky to claim the magical stone for himself--what better way to finally secure what he figures is his rightful spot as leader of the herd? Pterano enlists a fearsome posse of fellow flyers to carry out his scheme, but unlike Pterano, who never intends to harm Ducky, they're not careful with the little dinosaur and lose her in treacherous terrain. While the rest of the gang searches for her with help from beyond the mysterious beyond, Ducky deduces that Pterano may not have a heart of gold, but he's not all bad either--a concept she clarifies for the others by breaking into song. "Good Inside," along with two other original tunes, elevate this video from pretty good to really enjoyable; fans of the series will be relieved to find that a string of successive shows hasn't resulted in watered-down characters or tired story lines. --Tammy La Gorce

5 out of 5 stars one of the best LBT movies!.......2005-09-04

this one is a very unusual entry in the LBT. it is a bit scarier and more mysterious than the rest. Petrie is as funny as ever. and Ducky is so cute! one reason why this entry is unusual is because there are two space aliens in it. they are very good characters!
for adults: this movie has less singing in it!
why are you still reading this?! go out and buy it!

5 out of 5 stars The Best one ever made! :).......2005-07-09

This is so funny I nearly fell to the floor! I wish they had more scenes of the flyers though. Even though Sierra and Rincus (however you spell it) is mean to Ducky, still, they are so funny! Ducky is as cute as ever, and even though Pterano is mean to his nephew and Ducky, he saves Ducky in the end, and his song is so funny! I do have to say though I wish Pterano had more lines in the end. He was just silent when they escaped from the volcano.

I have always liked Little Foot, until I saw this one, Petrie is now my favorite. He reminds me of when I was a little kid. (Yes, that means I was scared of everything!)Keep up the good work universal!

Director Sam Fuller's biggest success of its time (and, superficially at least, his most conventional film) is the 1953 noir effort Pickup on South Street. Candy (Jean Peters) has her purse picked on the subway by small-time thief and ex-con Skip (Richard Widmark), neither of them realizing that the purse contains microfilm bound for Communist spies and that they are being watched the whole time by Federal agents. The New York police and the Feds catch up with Skip and try to cajole him into turning over the microfilm, but as he's one of Fuller's "outsider" antihero protagonists, the patriotic angle cuts no ice with him. He plays both sides against the middle when he finds out that the Communists are involved, hoping to make a big score off the deal, but eventually he comes around when he realizes that he's smitten with Candy. Finally Skip plays ball with the authorities, but is it out of his love for both his friend Moe and Candy, or is he swayed by the patriotic urgings of the FBI, or does it just come from some inner core of decency? You decide. When Skip is asked, "Do you know what treason is?" he smirks, "Who cares?"; when the Feds try to appeal to his patriotism, he sneers through several layers of Sinatra cool, "Are you waving the flag at me?" Pickup is set almost entirely in the garbage-strewn alleys, grimy subways, seedy waterfront dives, and gloomy streets of New York City; it's marked by extremely lengthy takes and fluid, mobile camera work. The closing scene when Skip tracks down another character in the subway and administers a brutal beating to him is one of the more violent scenes you'll find in '50s film noir. --Jerry Renshaw

    Description

Petty crook Skip McCoy (Richard Widmark) has his eyes fixed on the big score, but when he picks the purse of unsuspecting Candy (Jean Peters) he finds a haul bigger than he could imagine: a strip of microfilm bearing confidential U.S. secrets. Tailed by both Feds and the unwitting courier's Communist puppeteers, Skip and Candy find themselves in a precarious gambit that pits greed against redemption, Right versus Red, and passion against self preservation. A dazzling cast, hardboiled repartee and director Samuel Fuller's signature raw energy combine to create a true film noir classic.

    Customer Reviews:

    3 out of 5 stars A psychopath, a heroic doctor & a now sneak thief........2006-08-19

Richard Widmark plays them all. Later in his career he does numerous westerns & even a mad Navy ship's captain. In this one he is Skip McCoy a happy-go-lucky career criminal. His performance is above the movie itself. He is a pickpocket who steals Candy's (Jean Peters) wallet. Unknown to both of them she is a courier for communist spies & had a piece of microfilm with government secrets in her wallet. The Feds know about it too. Soon they're both in trouble & turn to each other in some of the movies best scenes. She's in trouble with her commie bosses. He's in trouble because he is already a three time loser. He's not particlarly patriotic, even when he figures out what he has. He is looking for a big score. He has to reconcile, doing the right thing, going straight & pursuing a long-term relationship with Candy. Widmark does the best he can with the material he's given in this average B movie. I give him 4****.

5 out of 5 stars cold war paranoia sure did make for some fun movies!.......2006-05-04

just a near-perfect concept: richard widmark is a pickpocket whose latest mark is a young woman who just happens to be a spy carrying nuclear secrets in her wallet. film noir at its very best. and thelma ritter to boot.

5 out of 5 stars About as good as it gets........2006-02-27

I usually tell people who wonder about Film Noir to see Out Of The Past. Pickup On South Street didn't change my opinion but its still very good.

This time, Richard Widmark skirts the line between the psycho he played in earlier films and the good guy he would become. This seems just right because it gives him the dangerous edge he needs. The movie is tough and politically incorrect but like the anti-Commie business, a product of its time.

No need to say more. Performances are great as are scenes of a New York long gone.

4 out of 5 stars Kiss, Slap, Bang!.......2005-10-11

I've reviewed many Noir films from the 40's and 50's, "Maltese Falcon" to the B film "Detour," and loved them all, and don't get me wrong, POSS held me all the way through; the problem with this film is it's ugly misogamy, which unfortunately lives on to some extent in the film industry.

Sure, Noir films demand hardboiled punks and bimbo's of loose morals, but how many times is poor Jean Peter's, an okay doll, get punched in the face or shot in the belly. Come on, that's over-female-kill. That last scene after all the mayhem is just laughable.

Okay, I know, the story in "Detour" didn't make any sense either. These films are vehicles for an American mythology. The men are tough, able to take a punch and give it back too. Yeah, that's an urban John Wayne for you. The women are essentially ladies of the evening in a cocktail dress with a heart of gold, not marriage material, so you can er, kiss `em or beat `em up if ya want depending on the hour. Can't lay a hand on mother material I guess.

Richard Widmark is ludicrously cocky in his role of the pickpocket with brains. If his old man hadn't beat him to a pulp every day after reform school, things would have been different; he's smart enough to go to Harvard, but as it is, he enjoys cracking wise in the cop house. Ya got ta love a lug like that.

4 out of 5 stars Fuller slightly misses the mark.......2005-10-02

Director Sam Fuller operating in the midst of the Cold War with a low budget comes up a tad short in his film noir crime drama "Pickup on South Street". While the camera work and sordid settings in Lower Manhattan greatly add to the viewing quality of the film the interrelationship between characters were an unbelievable fairy tale.

Wise aleck pickpocket and three time loser Skip McCoy played by Richard Widmark pinches the wallet of attractive bad girl Candy played by Jean Peters on the New York subway. Little do they both know but she's been acting as a mule for her ex-boyfriend Joey played by Richard Kiley, carrying a sensitive piece of microfilm containing a secret chemical formula. She unwittingly was delivering it to a group of Communists. Unknown to both characters the theft was observed by federal agents who had been shadowing Peters.

The plot essentially involves the coaxing of Widmark to relinquish control of the microfilm by both the authorities and the minions behind Peters and her red sympathizing boyfriend.
The cops use tie saleswoman and stool pigeon Moe Williams played in a terrific acting performance by the accomplished Thelma Ritter to ferret out the whereabouts of Widmark. Widmark however realizing that he's stolen something valuable is holding out for a big score. The feds try to wave the flag at him to get him to cooperate to no avail. Slightly tarnished Peters falls for Widmark in an implausible sequence where she unsuccessfully tries using her charms to woo him and recover the film.

Fuller seems undecided whether to make his film an anti-Communist piece or a crime drama and winds up falling short in both areas in terms of impact. The characters created by Fuller were for the most part universally unlikeable with too may issues to be considered protagonists. The acting performances most notably by Ritter were well played.

Turn off your brain and Cold Creek Manor just might turn into an entertaining thriller. Taking an uncharacteristic detour into nonsensical plot mechanics, director Mike Figgis expertly pushes buttons with this nerve-jangling but ultimately hackneyed story (by Richard Jeffries) about a documentary filmmaker (Dennis Quaid) who moves his wife (Sharon Stone) and two kids into a run-down rural mansion once owned by the family of a simmering ex-convict (Stephen Dorff), who's got secret reasons for wanting Quaid's family to leave. This rote potboiler wants to be as thrilling as Fatal Attraction, but it's more like Pacific Heights--fun to watch as the tension escalates with Dorff's violent behavior, but seriously flawed as plot holes proliferate. With a few good shocks and slinky support from Juliette Lewis, it's perfectly enjoyable as a popcorn distraction, but maybe they should've called it Cold Creaky Manor instead. --Jeff Shannon

    Description

COLD CREEK MANOR is a heart-pounding thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat in tension-filled suspense. Wanting to escape city life for the saner, safer countryside, New Yorkers Cooper Tilson (Dennis Quaid), his wife Leah (1995 Golden Globe winner Sharon Stone, Best Actress, CASINO), and their two children move into a dilapidated old mansion still filled with the possessions of the previous family. Turning it into their dream house soon becomes a living nightmare when the previous owner (Stephen Dorff) shows up, and a series of terrifying incidents lead them on a spine-tingling search for clues to the estate's dark and lurid past.

5 out of 5 stars Great study of manipulation.......2007-06-27

This is a dark, don't-see-this-one-to-feel-good movie. But it is highly instructive of how manipulators can get across other people's personal boundaries and play the situation (and create it) in order to feed their own agendas.

I actually refer to parts of this movie in seminars and a workbook on avoiding harmful relationships, especially the scene where Dale strolls right into Cooper and Lea's home, an invasion that would normally been seen and reacted to as such, and yet Dale twisted it around so adeptly that he was invited to stay for a meal! This is a classic example of how manipulators cross boundaries (and how often we don't set solid limits of what we will and will not tolerate).

1 out of 5 stars Mundane non thriller.......2007-01-17

Kept waiting for something to happen, Dennis Quaid is so overrated, his idea of dramatic acting is a furrowed brow, actually his brother Randy is a better actor. Sharon is always good, and in this case the child actors weren't as obnoxious as most child actors are. But, the story had no tension or drama. Don't bother with this one.

    4 out of 5 stars Flawless thriller!.......2006-12-17

When a family decides to leave NYC in search of a major privacy and distress, will acquire a very beautiful but mysterious manor, hovered by dark memories, awful atrocities and unsaid secrets. So everything seems to aware us they didn't make the better choice.

This solid thriller counted with the skillful direction of Mike Figgis and an impressive cast where Stephen Dorff
as the distorted bad guy, Denis Quaid ( how he has enhanced as actor since the film "Far from heaven!) and Christopher as his ruthless father will surprise to many people due the memorable suspenseful sequences and the extraordinary camerawork fluidness.

    Recommended without hesitation.

    4 out of 5 stars Worth watching.......2006-10-20

If you prefer more suspense than 'scare' factor, you'll probably feel this movie is worth watching. It's a 'what happened to the previous family?' type of story-line when Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone's characters pose as the unsuspecting home buyers who think they're getting a great deal on a fabulous manor with gorgeous land, until they meet the previous owner who is a bit 'messed up'. Not bad for a suspense flick.

2 out of 5 stars At Times, Very Silly. 33 out of 100........2006-08-20

At times, Cold Creek manor had shades of being a very good movie. But then a new scene would come and it would quickly turn into utter silliness.

There are scenes in the movies that left me shaking my head, saying, "I can't believe how stupid that was," or, "I can't believe they put that in the movie."

For those that haven't watched the movie, all I can say is that it is poorly made. The acting was ok. Stephen Dorff shined as Dale Massey, and Juliette Lewis was decent as Ruby. Sharon Stone was even passable as Leah Tilson, with what few lines she had. Dennis Quaid was the real stinker in the movie, and I don't believe much of his acting troubles were his own burden. The script was simply foolish at times.

There is a scene in the movie where the actors are running around, and snakes are everywhere. The desired effect was supposed to be terror, but when you watch it you want to laugh because it is so ridiculously pieced together on film.

A second bad scene is when Quaid is coming home from a bar. He is being chased, and hits a deer. The next morning his family, for no reason, turns on him and believes he has hit the family horse. (The horse, by the way, is called a pony in the movie...how laughable! It isn't a pony at all, but rather a full grown horse.)

Scenes like this abound in Cold Creek Manor. People react with no motivation, and the story sags. Even the music is horrible. The music in the snake scene makes it seems more like a circus act than a suspenseful moment.

Enough said on this stinker. See it if you must, buy it if you will, but I think it is to be avoided at all costs. It started OK, but quickly fell apart.

5 out of 5 stars Steve austin- The family man.......2007-04-04

This dvd focuses more on austin's friends and family. However, this is good for die hard austin fan like myself to see steve austin the person ( steve williams) and to find out how austin's family feels about his whole career in the squared circle. There is good footage included of his early days in wcw and ecw. Im sure there will be some included on the upcoming austin dvd set as well. Anyway, i would recommend you purchase this dvd only if you are interested in knowing more about austin the person and not just the wrestler. I gave this dvd 5 stars because of the way it relates austin's real life with his wrestling career. The next austin dvd which comes out in november will provide a better comprehensive look at austin's career. The content will probably be a combination of previous austin dvds. This dvd is put together well, shows you a great amount of austin's family, and has some of his early matches and promos. So i give this dvd 5 stars and that is the "stone cold truth".

4 out of 5 stars I loved it but the dvd lacks........2006-12-24

The movie was a rehash of what some of his other dvd's touched on. However the ecw stuff is hilarious. I liked it alot. I loved AA & Ric Flair vs. the Hollywood Blonds as an extras match. However I wish they would go into more detail like the Chris Benoit DVD. They don't and that is why I am giving this only 4 stars.

1 out of 5 stars 1 DVD is not enough!.......2006-09-22

Im a huge Stone Cold fan and I have got to say that I am horribly dissapointed. This disc does not contain any of the good Stone Cold matches...specificlly the matches during the Austin/Mcmahon/Corporate Ministry era.

Luckally, I rented this from Blockbuster. The main story is good but the rest I have seen in other DVDs. I was hoping for alot of matches. It would take atleast 4-6 DVD discs full of matches to really go deep into Austin's history. But 1 disc is pathetic. I put shame on the WWE as they have no idea what fans want.

This DVD was not even worth the rent. I am a horribly horribly dissapointed Stone Cold fan and wonder how the WWE could put out trash such as this.

I hope the WWE releases a 3-6 DVD set on Stone Cold otherwise I hope the WWE goes out of business as they are a horrible wrestling company now a days ever since they lost competion (WCW and ECW) and have no motivation to become better.

5 out of 5 stars Great intro to Steve Austin.......2007-03-13

This movie is awesome.. shows Mr. Austin starting out in the WWF as a heel hell-raiser, before all the injuries and politics caught up with him. He's hilarious to watch as he basically overcomes everyone with his fists and trash-talking. You can see an energy and real "rawness" that is not present in today's WWE. This was when they let wrestlers develop their own characters, instead of just handing them a script, and I can really tell the difference.

    5 out of 5 stars Stone Cold's Greatest Matches;.......2006-07-19

Here are some of Stone Colds greatest matches that spanned over a course of 7 years(1996-2003)in the WWE.

As far as pay-per-views go, the 2000 Survivor Series is a bit lackluster. When it originally aired, the WWF was focusing on one plot line that so dominated the company that other story lines simply didn't matter. Survivor Series 2000 revolves around fallout and revenge revolving around the 1999 plot to end Stone Cold Steve Austin's career. In 1999, Austin was run over by a car, and for the better part of a year, the WWF became a mystery show, dedicated to finding out who was behind the steering wheel. Leading up to Survivor Series, it came out that the Rock's cousin, Rikishi, was driving the car, but the man who masterminded the plot was Triple H. So here we have the epic battles between the Rock and Rikishi, and Stone Cold and Triple H. Both matches are brutal, entertaining, and filled with shocking moments (how about Stone Cold dropping Triple H's car 30 feet from a fork lift?). The DVD gives fans all of the background leading up to these matches. Unfortunately, because the WWF focused so much attention on this story, the other half-dozen matches seem boring by comparison. As result, you get 45 minutes of entertainment and drama, surrounded by two hours of fluff. --Dave McCoy

    5 out of 5 stars WHOA!.......2007-05-26

What Stone Cold did to Triple H at the end was TOTALLY INSANE!!!!. One of WWE's better PPV.

    3 out of 5 stars Pretty disaspointing.......2006-06-13

This was a pretty crappy PPV for the year 2000 (It may have been the worst for WWE but if this was a WCW PPV and they had one like this every month they would still be in business). I will run down the matches and give them grade out of 5 now.

T&A and Trish vs Steve Blackman, Crash Holly, and Molly Holly 2/5

This was pretty crappy because all of them are crappy wrestlers.
Trish wasn't good back then, Test was only about a year in a half into his career and was still pretty green in my opinion (I only remember one good match Test had up until then was him vs Shane O mac at Summerslam 1999...see my review after this.),
Alberts just crappy, Steve can't wrestle, Crash wasn't a Kurt Angle, and Molly I just don't like her. Molly pins Trish after a sunset flip.

Radicalz vs Chyna, Road dog, Billy Gun, k-Kwick 3.5/5
Great match that was fast paced and never got tiring. Eddy and Benoit make this match awesome.

    Kane vs Y2J 4.5/5

This was an awesome match that had back and forth action.
Kane suprisingly got owned 65% of the match with high risk manuevers by Chris Jericho. Kane wins after a chokeslam.

William Regal vs Hardcore Holly for the Euro Title 1/5

Pretty short match with Regal hitting Holly's injured arm and Holly then hitting Regal with the belt for a DQ. Holly then beats the crap out of Regal.

    Rikishi vs Rock 4.5/5

Pretty good for a match with Rikishi in it. Rocky sells his ribs like their is no tommorow in this one. rocky eventually pulls off the peeps elbow for the win. Rikishi gets pissed and Banzai's the Rock 4 times after the match.

    Kurt Angle vs Undertaker 4/5

I thought this was a great match. I really enjoyed the switch betwwen Kurt and Erik. Erik gets killed most of the match and Kurt switches places with him at the end and rolls up UT for the win.

RTC and E&c vs Tha Hardyz & the Dudleyz 4.5/10

Awesome match with the jeff Hardy being the sole survivor. After the match tables were introduced.

    Stone Cold vs HHH 5/5

Aewsome brawl with alot of weapons such as a piece of Scaffolding and Beer cans. The Radicalz jump Stone Cold as HHH tries to run over Steve with his car like last year but steve lifts the car up with a forklift and drops HHH!

    3 out of 5 stars Survivor series 2000 is a 3 star ppv.......2006-04-16

    80-76%-perfect

    1. Molly Holly and crash and steve blackman vs. TandA and trish- This was an okay way to kick off the show. This was only given 5 mintues and i felt like they put this here for a filler. It was average just some good action but nothing u would want to watch more than once. Winners Molly Holly and crash and steve blackman. Match Rating 5.5/10.

    2. The Radicals vs. Chyna and billy gun and road dog and K-quick in an elmination match- this was alot better than the first match. All of these people have talent that were in this ring. i have always liked the surivor series elmination matches. This was just some soild wrestling and given the time it needed but nothing special. Winners the radicals. Match Rating 7/10.

    3. Kane vs. Y2J- This was the first really good match of the night. This kind of had a dumb storyline to it but it brought more intensity to the match. This was the first big match of there long fued and it was preatty good. More big man little man stuff but this was one of kanes better matches. Just some good back and forth action. A good match to watch. Winner Kane. Match Rating 7.5/10.

    4. William Regal vs. Hardcore Holly for the europen title- This was not a good match at all. This did not get the crowd into it at all and this also seemed more like a filler to cool the crowd down after the first match. this had a horriable ending withg a dq and you wont want to watch this match more than one time. Winner and stiil europen champ william regal. Match Rating 2.5/10.

    5. The Rock vs. Rikishi- This was a good match. i usually dont care for most of rikishis matches but this one seemed to be good. This was right when rikishi was in the title secene which made this match better because of the fued that was going on. Some goo sellin gby the rock and everyone was behind him. A well put together match by the wwe and some near falls as well. Winner The Rock. Match Rating 8/10.

    6. Lita vs. Ivory for the womens title- This was another bad match. It was alright for a womens match but i just could not get into it at all. The corwd was out of this one and it was to much one sided offense. I think you will wnat to skip this match. Winner and still womens champ Ivory. Match Rating 3/10.

    7. Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle for the wwe title- This was a really good title match. If i had to say one problem with this match is that it was worked to much on takers leg. Besides that this was an awsome match. It started out great with angle tricking taker and hiting him with the chair. Lots of near falls and outside interference. I think this was a really good first title defense for kurt. The ending is awsome and really unpredictable. it is tricky and you are going to wantto watch this match. Good match overall. Winner and still wwe champ Kurt Angle. Match Rating 8.5/10.

    8. The dudleys and hardys vs. Right to censor and edge and christian in an elemination match- This was better than the first elemination match. This was a good way to cool the crowd down but it didnt at the same time because it was a good match. An average match but very entertaing and the eleminations were set up right. A nice comeback at the end by Jeff hardy. Also some great aftermath with the dudleys putting right toi censor through tables. Winners the dudleys and hardys. Match Rating 7.5/10.

    9. Stone Cold vs. HHH no DQ- This was an awsoe way to close off the show. I think it was a great idea to add this no dq to the match it helped it alot. This was there first match of there series that they would have over the next few months and i would say this one was preatty good. It was also not austin dominating the whole match like i thought it would be just for pay back. Lots of blood from hhh chirs, ring bell tables and a sweet ending that you willhave to see to believe. Winner no contest. Match Rating 9.5/10.

Well that raps up another. I would give survivor series 2000 a grade of 59/90 which is a 66% which means this is a good ppv. This would have been alot better but the womens and europen title brought it down. If you can tell me if my review was helpful or not i would appericate that. Thanks for your time.

4 out of 5 stars Survivor Series 2000:The Rules Have Changed (3.5 Stars).......2006-04-02

    1.Intergender Tag-Team Match:
T&A and Trish Stratus vs. Steve Blackman, Crash and Molly Holly
This matched supprised me. I mean it wasnt good but better than i expected, i was expecting a squash match @ about 1 star, but turns out to be a two star match with more action than expected.
    **
    2.Survivor Series Elimination Match #1:
The Radical(Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, and Eddie Gureereo) vs Chyna, The One Billy Gunn, K-Kwik, and the Road Dogg
Once again this was a better match than expected, i would have rather seen a Benoit/Malenko match. This is a quick paced match and had a lot of suplexes and JR makes an error saying it was Billy's firdt match back when he teamed with Chyna the month before @ No Mercy. Overall worth a watch and is decent in my opinion. ***
    3.Chris Jerichio vs Kane
A great mid card match and a breath of fresh air to the PPV, finally a singles match! This was fast paced and had a lot of submissions as well as power moves and a great ending. ****
    4.Womens Championship:
    Lita vs Ivory
This wasnt very good... Lita was busted above the eye for the majority of the match and was kinda slow and too long. **
    5.The Rock vs Rikishi
This was a very well done match and I liked the intertwining of the story lines they used over the corse of 3 months(ending @ Armageddon with the 6 man Hell in a Cell). A great Rockey match and the ending was very entertaining. I reccomend this match heavily. ****
    6.European Championship
    William Regal vs Hardcore Holly
This was the dullest match on the card. No moments to mention and kinda brings down a run of good matches. 1/2*
    7.Heavyweight Championship
    Kurt Angle vs The Undertaker
WOW! This was a tremdos match, the best on the card in my opinion. Submissions counters, high impact and an unbelievible ending this was their best match together up to this point though No Way Out 2006 was a classic and in some ways is very simmilar. *****
    8.Survivor Series Elimination Match #2:
The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz vs RTC(Bull, and Goodfather) and Edge and Christian
A great SS Elimination Match good idea to blend toghther the top tag teams of the time. High paced and truly good the best tag match of the night. ***1/2
    8. No DQ
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Triple H
This was awsome. The whole SCSA/Rikishi storyline wasnt working so they threw in the accomplice thing, good idea. I liked the no holds barred match at no Mercy but this was great. A weird transition time for HHH and SCSA was coming back to himself. Hardcore and this would have been a ***** star match, but the ending was too fake to believe. The HHH pleading back stage was on the mic and that was not accurate video. How does a guy get dropped from that hight abd return in 2 weeks??? Any way very good. ****1/2

Average: 3.56 this was a solid PPV and I do reccomend this becaue of the 4 great matches:(Angle/Taker,HHH/Austin,Rock/Rikishi,Y2J/Kane).
Buy this for 1-2 dollers its a definily worth that and buy it over the not so stellear [...]that wwe is putting out now. BUY NOW!!!!

    5 out of 5 stars GIMME A HELL YEAH!!!!.......2006-02-04

I enjoyed this Pay Per View a lot, for me it brought back memories of the Game and Austin 3:16. I was one of the lucky one that got to see it live in Tampa, FL. After Stone Cold dropped the car with Triple in it(it was staged of course), after Survivor Series went off the air, Stone Cold came back out to the ring and said to the crowd "If you're happy about what I did to Triple H, gimme a Hell yeah!!!" The Undertaker and Kurt Angle match was ammusing, Eric Angle took The Last Ride for his brother. Seeing the Road Dogg and K-Kwik in action again was cool. This is a must have for wrestling fans that wants to live the glory days of the WWF!!!

    1. The hardy Boyz vs. The hurrican and lance storm for the wcw tag team titles- This was a nice chocie as an opener. Both teams really put alot of effort in to this match. I would say that it was a nice fast paced hardy boyz trype of match and one that was given enough time to enjoy. WInners and stil wcw tag team champs the hardy boyz. Match Rating 7/10.

    2. TEst vs. Kane- This was an okay match. I would sy that this was an aboveaverage big man match. I think that kane carried this match and i never thought test did much. Lots of near falls and lots of hard hitting action in this match. Big boot wins it for test. WInner Test MAtch Rating 7/10.

    3. Torrie vs. Stacy in a lingera match- This was a horriable match. this was not a good wrestling match at all and the only two resons these women were brought in was because for looks. Saying htat i will rate this match in a half based on looks. WInenr torrie wilison. Match Rating 5/10.

    4. Edge vs. Christian for the wwe itc title in a ladder match- This was tied for the match of the night. It mioght have been match of the night it was hard to decide. ANyway this was nice to see. They had had alot of ladder matches thsi year but this one took the cake. For one reason is because these two have been in so many ladder matches together they put on an awsome show with alot of high fling spots. WInner and new wwe itc champ edge. Match Rating 9/10.

    5. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Big Show & Tajiri for the wwf tag team titles- This was an averag tag team match. I really could not get into this much as much as i should have. The reaosn being is that i think that the big show and tajiri did not mix well as a tag team. IT was okaty but not that good. Winners and still wwe tag team champs the dudley boyz. Match Rating 6/10.

    6. Undertaker vs. Booker T- This was another up and down match. They had another one of these in 2004 at judgement dya and i wouldsay that this one was a little bit better. WHen u look at this match on paper it looks alot btter than it is. There styles mixed ok but i oculd not get into it as much as i wanted. WInner Undertaker. MAtch Rating 6.5/10.

    7. The Rock vs. Chris Jericho for the wcw title- This was a god match. There series basically staeyd the same rating wise but i really liked this on.e One reason is ther match was set up beaytiful with a great storyline and great wrestling. Also lots of near falls int his match made this awsome. The othere great part about this match was we got to see them give y2J the respect he finally deserved. it was so nice for him to get a little bit of a push. Winner and new wcw champ Y2J. match Rating 8.5/10.

    8. Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle vs. Rob Van Dam for the wwe title in a triple threat match- This was another great match. They added rvd to the mix which was a great chocie. This match flowwed so good to the feud of austin and angle to the addittion of rvd it worked perfect. Great time gievn about 20 minutes. This was non stop action and even thought the no dq did not come into play that much it was still great and a nice ending invovling shane and vince. WInner and still wwe champ. Match Rating 9/10.

Well that raps up another. I would give no mercy 2001 a grade of 58/80 which is a 72% which means this is an awsome ppv. I would very much recomend this to anyone and get it right away. If u can tell me if my review was helpful or not i would appreicate that. Thanks for your time.

    Here is the Review !!!

This Review is Very long so go to "see all my reviews" and look for it to see the full review !!!

    1.WCW Tag Team Championship

Hardy Boyz vs. Hurricane Helms and Lance Storm

No Mercy kicked off from the Savvis Center in St. Louis with WCW Tag Team Championship action, as the Hardy Boyz defended against The Hurricane and Lance Storm. The Hardys were accompanied to the ring by Lita, while Hurricane & Storm were accompanied by Mighty Molly and Ivory. Hurricane showed off some of his Hurri-powers as the match began, but the Hardys battled right back with their high-flying, double-teaming tactics. But Hurricane & Storm roared right back with some double-team tactics of their own. Soon Hurricane put on his cape and leapt from the top rope all the way to the outside, taking out his opposition! The challengers isolated Jeff Hardy, but Jeff soon battled back, nailing Lance with a breath-taking corkscrew moonsault. Moments later, he tagged Matt, who cleaned house. Soon it was an all-out brawl in the ring, with several near falls. Matt went for the Twist of Fate, and the challengers hit a double thrust kick, but Jeff saved his brother from the pin at the last second. Lita got involved soon after, getting into it with Ivory and Mighty Molly. Jeff then hit Ivory, and Lance Storm snuck up on Jeff to get the half Crab. But Lita hit Lance with a hurricanrana. Matt then hit a Twist of Fate on Hurricane, and Jeff hit the Swanton Bomb for the win!

Winners and still Champions: Hardy Boyz

    2.Kane vs Test

Two of the biggest, baddest dudes in sports entertainment went at it when Test battled Kane. The match marked Kane's fourth anniversary in the Federation, as he made his debut at the October 1997 "Badd Blood" Pay-Per-View, right in St. Louis! Test went for his flying elbow, but Kane moved just in time and came back with a neckbreaker. Kane then drove Test down with a suplex, but Test just got the shoulder up at the last minute. A Kane clothesline sent Test over the top rope, but Test recovered to ram Kane into the ring post and hit him with a big boot to the face! Once back in the ring, Kane narrowly escaped defeat. Test measured for another boot to the face, but Kane caught him in a chokeslam! The two then traded blows until Kane caught Test in a powerslam. Kane then ascended the top rope but missed a flying clothesline! Amazingly, Test caught the 300-plus pound Kane in a pump-handle slam, but Test again narrowly avoided defeat! Test then went to the outside to grab a chair, but Kane hit a dropkick against the chair and into Test's face! When Kane went to use the chair, referee Nick Patrick grabbed the chair and took it away! Patrick's interference opened the door for Test to finish the Big Red Machine with a big boot to pick up the win! After the match, an angry Kane chokeslammed Patrick not once, but twice, and then sent Patrick down with a powerbomb!

    Winner: Test

    3.First Ever Lingerie Match

    Torrie Wilson vs. Stacy Keibler

The two sultry divas strutted down to the ring, ready to show off their stuff. Torrie unveiled her lingerie first, a mouth-watering red number. Stacy was slower to disrobe, instead stunning the crowd with some spins and kicks. Stacy then took off her robe to reveal a stunning black number, before slapping Torrie across the face. She then took out a whip, and whipped both Torrie and the referee! From there, the catfight was on, and the two women even rolled right over the ref! The women traded several near falls and then Torrie hit Tajiri's handspring elbow to score the pin, spanking Stacy after the bout!

    Winner: Torrie Wilson

    4.Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match

    Christian vs. Edge

Two years after Edge & Christian battled the Hardy Boyz in the Ladder Match that put both teams on the map, E&C met up one-on-one in a Ladder Match for Christian's Intercontinental Championship, as it was brother vs. brother! With the title hanging above the ring, the fight started on the ramp way. It didn't take long for the ladder to become a factor, and the two brothers even battled into the crowd. Edge took the early advantage, catapulting his brother into the ladder, but Christian battled back, dropping his brother onto it. With the ladder propped up between the ring and the barricade, the brothers battled it out on top, and Christian fell crotch-first onto one of the rungs! Edge tried to bring the battle into the ring, but a Christian dropkick knocked the ladder right into Edge's face! That allowed the IC Champion to set up the ladder and try and get his belt. But Edge knocked him from the ladder, and Christian clotheslined Edge in the process. Christian then trapped Edge in the corner with the ladder, as the "Christian sucks!" chants began. Christian got a steel chair and went to nail his brother, but Edge caught his brother and tossed him from the top rope onto the ladder, spine-first! Edge set the ladder up against the ropes and put his brother on his shoulders. He then tossed him off, and Christian landed on the ladder in a precarious position! Edge set up the ladder between the top two turnbuckles, but Christian reversed a whip, sending his brother into the ladder! Moments later, Christian slingshotted his brother right into the ladder! Christian brought another ladder into the ring and set it up, as Edge started to come to. Edge then set up the other ladder and slammed Christian from the top of both ladders, with both men putting their bodies on the line! Edge was the first to come to, and he ascended one of the ladders as the fans cheered for him. Christian attacked his brother from behind, and hit the I'm Prettier from the top of the ladder! Christian went to the outside and got a pair of steel chairs. He set his brother up for the one-man con-chair-to, but Edge knocked the chair back into Christian's face. Edge then went outside the ring and brought in a third ladder, propping it up on the two chairs. He set Christian up on the ladder, and then went to the top rope and splashed his brother with a thunderous crash! Edge started to climb for the title, but Christian used a ladder to the ribs to knock Edge from the ladder. Christian then propped up the third ladder behind the other two. Christian started climbing a ladder, and Edge went up to the top rope and speared Christian right off the ladder! The brothers then began to climb the same ladder at the same time, and as they ducked it out, their ladder fell to the outside of the ring, knocking both brothers to the floor! E&C were very slow in getting to their feet, and Christian got back into the ring first. He started to climb, but fell a few times, and he was clearly very sore. Soon Edge was back in the ring, and he hit Christian with a chair below the belt. Edge then manoeuvred the chairs and gave Christian a con-chair-to on the top of the ladders! Christian's prone body rolled off the ladders, as Edge grabbed the title and became the new Intercontinental Champion!

    Winner and new Champion: Edge

    5. WWF Tag Team Championship

Dudley Boyz vs. Big Show and Tajiri

After putting Torrie Wilson and Spike Dudley through tables, the Dudley Boyz were wanted men in their title defence against Big Show and Tajiri. The Dudleys tried to isolate the Show, but the big man used his power advantage to gain control. Tajiri used his kicks in an attempt to score the Tag Titles, but Bubba soon nailed Tajiri with a Bubba Bomb. The Dudleys tried double-teaming Tajiri to soften up the smaller member of their challengers. Finally, Tajiri got the tag to Big Show, who dominated the Dudleys. The Show did his best Razor Ramon impression, and then signalled for the chokeslam, but the Dudleys knocked him out of the ring. Tajiri knocked the Dudleys down with kicks, and soon locked D-Von in the Tarantula. Moments later, he knocked the Dudleys down with a double handspring elbow! Tajiri went to hit Bubba with the mist, but instead hit the ref. Big Show then chokeslammed Bubba, but the ref was still out of it. Rhyno then ran to the ring and gored the Big Show to the outside. Tajiri then scored an enziguiri and a big kick to the face on D-Von, who barely kicked out of the pinfall. Moments later, the Dudleys hit the 3-D, and pinned Tajiri for the successful title defence.

Winners and still champions: Dudley Boyz

    6.Undertaker vs. Booker T.

The most respected superstar in World Wrestling Federation history battled the most decorated superstar in WCW history as the Undertaker took on Booker T. The match started outside the ring with punches and kicks, as the two icons went at it. Taker went to work on Booker's left arm, and soon went old-school on Booker. Booker soon regained the advantage, as the fight spilled to the outside. Booker tried to hit Taker with the ring bell, but referee Tim White stopped him from doing so, and Taker regained the advantage as the fight spilled into the crowd. But Booker battled back as the fight went back into the ring. Booker went up top and nailed Taker with a missile dropkick. Soon after, he hit Taker with a big kick to the face, and a side suplex. Booker then telegraphed a knee to the face, and was about to go for the Spinerooni, until Taker got back to his feet. Taker rallied back with a big boot, but Booker reversed a powerslam and scored a near fall. Booker went to the second rope but was met with a big foot, and the two men slugged it out. A spinning heel kick by Booker was good for two, but Taker hit a DDT soon after. The fight continued, and Taker measured Booker for an avalanche. But Booker caught him, dropped him on the turnbuckle, and hit a kick, knocking Taker to the outside. Booker then hit the Spinerooni! As Taker went to get back in the ring, Booker hit him with a scissors kick, but Taker got his foot on the bottom rope. Moments later, Taker went for the chokeslam, but Booker powered out of it with a low blow, undetected by the ref. Booker punched Taker on the turnbuckles, but Taker nailed Booker with the Last Ride and pinned him to win the match.

    Winner: Undertaker

    7.WCW Heavyweight Championship

    The Rock vs. Chris Jericho

It was the biggest match of Chris Jericho's career, as Y2J challenged The Rock for the WCW Championship, looking to prove that he could indeed win the "big match." Rock -- who lost the Federation Championship last year at No Mercy -- was looking to defeat his motivated challenger. The two popular superstars laid into each other from the get-go, as the fans were clearly split in who to cheer for. Rock looked for the Rock Bottom early on, but Y2J powered out and went for the Walls of Jericho, but Rocky got to the ropes. Y2J then hit Rock with the second-rope dropkick, pulling out all the stops for this unique opportunity to snare WCW gold. He also hit Rock with a top-rope reverse elbow for a two-count. Y2J also scored a near-fall after a flying forearm.Y2J gained the advantage, and assaulted Rock with various manoeuvres, trying to wear down the People's Champion. Rock roared back with a clothesline, but Jericho hung Rock out to dry on the top rope moments later. After a bodyslam, Jericho went up top, but Rock caught him and crotched him on the top rope, and then superplexed him down! The men slugged it out, and Rock tossed Jericho down, and then nailed Y2J with a Samoan drop for a two-count. Running on adrenaline, Rock knocked Jericho over the top rope to the outside. On the outside, he knocked Y2J's head off the announce table, before tossing him back into the ring. Rocky continued to pound on The Rock, but Jericho battled back. Rock floored Y2J with a clothesline, but Jericho kicked out of the pin. Moments later, Rock tossed Jericho to the outside. Back on the inside, Rock scored another near-fall. Rock then tried to wear down Y2J with a sleeper. After battling out of the sleeper, Y2J went for a dropkick but missed. Rock hit Jericho with a slingshot into the top turnbuckle, and then hit a clothesline. Rock continued to dominate, and went for another top-rope superplex. But Jericho pushed Rock down, and hit Rock with a missile dropkick! Both men were slow to get back to their feet, and when they did, they slugged it out. Y2J scored with a neckbreaker and a hurricanrana for two. Moments later, Jericho hit Rock with a Rock Bottom! He then nailed a Lionsault, but Rock kicked out at two, much to Y2J's shock! Y2J then hit a bulldog on The Rock, and went for the People's Elbow, but Rock moved! Rock battled back, putting Y2J in the sharpshooter! Jericho screamed for dear life, and after what seemed like minutes, Y2J finally made it to the ropes, forcing Rock to break the hold! On the outside, Rock took the top off the Spanish announce table, and he and Jericho ascended the table. He then nailed Y2J with a Rock Bottom right through the table! Rock stared down his challenger, and brought him back into the ring. He set Y2J up for a Rock Bottom, but Jericho battled out of it. Rock then hit a spinebuster on Y2J, and went for a People's Elbow of his own. But as he was about to hit it, Jericho caught Rock's foot, and locked Rock in the Walls of Jericho! Rock reached for the ropes for all he was worth, but as he was about to get there, Jericho pulled him away! Suddenly, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley ran to the ring and threw a chair in the ring, Y2J let go of the hold to knock Stephanie from the apron, and when Y2J turned around, Rock nailed him with a DDT. Rock then threw Stephanie into the ring, and hit her with a Rock Bottom! The distracted ref didn't see Y2J knock Rock's head into the chair! Three seconds later, Chris Jericho was the new WCW Champion! After the bout, Y2J mocked Stephanie. Rock grabbed a chair and snuck up behind Y2J. When Jericho turned around, Rock presented him with the chair, and Jericho held up the title belt and the chair!

Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle vs. Rob Van Dam

This match was made all-the-more interesting by the fact that Commissioner Mick Foley made it a no-disqualification bout on HEAT, and also by the fact that there were many question as to what role Vince McMahon would play. Austin had some words for RVD prior to the bout, as Angle snuck up and nailed both men with suplexes. Austin & RVD soon battled back and double-teamed the Olympian. They knocked him from the ring, and Austin talked some trash to RVD, even giving him the middle finger. RVD gave it right back, as Angle snuck up behind RVD and attacked him. The Rattlesnake pounded on both men, even hitting Angle with a low blow. He went for the Stunner on Angle, who reversed it into an ankle lock before RVD kicked Angle, breaking the hold. RVD nailed Austin with a series of kicks, before Angle attacked RVD from behind. But RVD hit Angle with Rolling Thunder for a near-fall, broken up by Austin. As the "RVD" chants heated up, Austin hit RVD with a spinebuster, threw Angle to the outside, and gained a near-fall on RVD. Austin went to work on RVD's knees, and also pounded on Kurt. Stone Cold locked RVD in a half Boston Crab, until Angle broke it up. Austin threw Angle to the outside and locked RVD in a STF, until Angle broke that up too. Outside the ring, Austin slingshotted Angle into the ringpost, and then wrapped RVD's legs on the ringpost. With Angle and Austin down, RVD went up top. He went for the Five-Star Frog Splash, but both men moved out of the way. Moments later, Austin hit the Stunner on Angle, but RVD broke up the pin. RVD set Austin up in the corner, and hit the split-legged moonsault for two. Angle hit the Angle slam on RVD, but Austin broke up the pin. Austin knocked Angle from the ring, and then Stone Cold went outside the ring after him. Austin and Angle ducked it out on the outside, and Stone Cold took the top off the other announce table. He went to piledrive Angle, but Angle backdropped him onto the announce table, which did not break! RVD then scored with a leap to the outside on Angle, as all three men lay on the outside! Suddenly, Vince McMahon strutted to ringside. RVD & Angle were the first two men up, and they slugged it out inside the ring, where RVD hit Angle with a reverse heel kick. RVD then went up top, but Angle caught him with a top-rope belly-to-belly suplex! Austin finally got back into the ring, and hit another Stunner on Angle, but Angle fell outside the ring, so the Rattlesnake turned his attention to RVD. Mr. McMahon then got in the ring and nailed Austin in the back with a steel chair! RVD went up top and nailed Austin with the Five-Star Frog Splash, but an injured RVD couldn't go for the pin right away. When he finally did, Angle broke it up. Angle hit RVD with four belly-to-back suplexes and an Angle slam, but as he went for the pin, Shane McMahon ran down and threw Angle to the outside and into the ringpost! Shane and Vince then started going at it! Back in the ring, Austin hit the Stunner on RVD and pinned him to retain his championship, much to Vince McMahon's shock!
