Faith in oneself is crucial but often difficult to develop. Calvin Fuller (Thomas Ian Nicholas), a misfit from the 20th-century "Knights" baseball team, lacks self-confidence. Imagine his alarm when he's sucked into the Middle Ages to answer the wizard Merlin's (Ron Moody) plea for a "Knight" to save King Arthur and Camelot from the scheming Lord Belasco (Art Malik). To 14-year-old little leaguer Calvin Fuller, life is like one big strikeout when he lets his team down. Then an earthquake sends him through a magical time rift, and he finds himself in King Arthur's court. But all is not well with the realm. An aged King Arthur is in danger of losing control to the evil Lord Belasco, and now it's up to Calvin to save the kingdom. But before he can find a way to vanquish Belasco, he must first find a way to conquer his own fears. Now you can own Disney's marvelous mixture of medieval myth and modern mirth that will have the whole family cheering!

This movie is really sci-fi and good with kindergarteners. It is totally rad dudes and dudettes. It sweet. I would steal excalibur though if i was the kid. He should take it and run. I want my own equiizer that they metion in the movie.

Two Stars.......2007-02-05

I rated this 2 stars because there are TWO STARS in the film. Kate Winslet from Titanic , Etc. and the new James Bond 007 (Casino Royale) Daniel Craig. My Daughter is a huge Daniel Craig fan and she got the film just to see what he looked like before she was one year old. (she's now 12) This is run of the mill, every line is predictable stuff but, I must say after having taken my daughter to see Casino Royale 9 times, this was a real hoot!!! It is fun seeing actors early in their career paying their dues. i have seen an episode of the old 1950's TV series Highway Patrol and it had Clint Eastwood as a Biker. It was one of the first things he ever did. Anyway, I would reccommend this movie if you need a good laugh, unintentional as it may be.

Kate Winslet.......2007-01-05

Kate was the best actor in the film no doubt, but as this is a movie for Children I cant really say anything bad about it. My kids loved it and keep in mind it isnt a "new" film in which the effects are cooler than life or perfect.
All in all its a good/cute movie for kids or a Kate fans collection.

Yes it's corny but cute! .......2005-12-08

There were many corny scenes in this movie and also things that didn't jive with the real Arthur story.. but so what? Its just a kids movie. Even though it's corny(obviously trying to be) it is fun and full of action. We are learning about the middle ages in homeschool and this was the only movie I could find on the period suitable for a 2nd grader. (Except educational ones at the library) We are learning all the factual information and the authentic Arthur story from library books and this was just for fun and to make it more visual. Now he knows what a tournament would look like and how knights would dress as well as what a castle might look like in real life instead of on a page. I think this movie is just for fun and not for grown adults who want a more realistic Arthur movie. There are very few "corny" movies out there I would bother to watch but I actually enjoyed this one. ;)

A Classic.......2005-09-15

My kids and I love this movie. It is a classic good over evil plot but a little more. A dork who always gets picked last for sports gets to become a hero because he has to. Its a great message for kids. The jokes are funny (yes and corny). No inappropriate behavior, no blood, no cursing. Good clean fun with good values added.
