Editorial Review:
Amazon.com
Here was a case in which the progenitors of this successful comic-book adaptation figured they had to go in a new direction--and chose the wrong one. For starters, they recruited comedian Richard Pryor, who was the kiss of death for almost every movie he was in except his own concert films. He plays a computer specialist who is hired by a criminal mastermind (Robert Vaughan) to help him take on Superman by exposing him to a new form of Kryptonite: red Kryptonite, which always had unpredictable effects in the comic books. In this film, it splits Superman in two, dividing his good self from his dark side. The special effects had gone about as far as they could, and this movie strains to hold an audience's interest for its full running length. --Marshall Fine

Possibly Worst DVD Set Production EVER!.......2007-06-05
And not because of the content of the DVDs. The movies themselves are fine; although deep down inside everyone was a little disappointed in Superman Returns. I have purchased and exchanged this set 3 TIMES! First time, not all of the DVDs were functional. Second time, DVDs' special features fiasco. Third time, the DVDs' case was broken and the discs were loose and got scratched. Tired of this, I finally kept the set that I had on hand. However, it's worth noting that the DVDs were out of order in the case, which makes some peoples' complaints about receiving duplicate discs and missing others more plausible.
How could Warner Bros. mess this up so badly? It's Superman for crying out loud!! He is one of their flagship franchises! I have hundreds of DVDs and have never experienced this much difficulty in finding a quality copy of a boxed set. I will think long and hard before buying any more DVD sets from Warner Bros.
Worse than George Lucas.......2007-06-05
So, Warner Bros. sells a defective product, ignores its customers' complaints, then expects us all to pay another $100+ for a "No Kidding, This Time We're SURE It'll Work" edition of a set we already bought? Thanks, but no thanks, Bullwinkle. Wow, how dumb you must believe we are...
Up, Up And Away!!!!!!.......2007-06-04
This is a gold mine for all Superman fans everywhere. Despite the problems this set has been plagued with, it was well worth the wait. Yes, $75 is a bit painful, but think about it this way, you're only paying a little over $5 each per single disc. You won't get a deal like that anywhere.
And the content is top-notch. Reacquaint yourself with a young Christopher Reeve in his heyday, as he bumbles as Clark Kent, yet soars as The Man Of Steel. I had almost forgotten just how iconic these films were. My brother and I saw the first movie waaaaaay back in 1978 (that tells you how old I am), and needless to say, it left an indelible impression on us. But it's only now where I can appreciate it on a different level. Like George Reeves before him, Christopher Reeve had a charm about him which spoke volumes. You couldn't have found a better Superman if you tried (notice the nearly 20-year span in between the two actors). Not just anybody could play this character, but both men ran, I mean, flew away with him, and defined their careers.
And these films have never looked better. All 17 of the Fleischer brothers cartoons from the early '40's are included within this set, and let me tell you, you will cry tears of joy at the beautiful restoration Warner Bros. did on these. (These put the Bosko Video releases to shame. And those were very well done). Other than a few surface scratches, they haven't looked this good since they were originally released. (I'm not THAT old, but I can only imagine the sight of them back then, since they were the first filmed representation of Superman).
I am very well pleased with mine. This whole collection is pure gold. Sadly, for some of this collection's buyers, its become pure Kryptonite. Hopefully everyone will work their problems out, sit back and reconnect with an old friend. You'll forget all about all the money you spent.

Description
After Superman: The Movie's epic storytelling and Superman II's awesome battles, how could the first two hits be topped? In Superman III, meet Gus Gorman (Richard Pryor), a half-witted computer programming natural. For him a keyboard is a weapon - and Superman faces the microelectronic menace of his life. Christopher Reeve reprises his most beloved role, deepening his character's human side as Clark Kent reunites with old flame Lana Lang (Annette O'Toole) at a Smallville High class reunion. And when Superman becomes his own worst enemy after Kryptonite exposure, Reeve pulls off both roles with dazzling skill. Incredible visual effects abound - but above all it has heart, heroism and high-flying humor. All in superabundance.

My First Superman Film!.......2007-02-15
I first saw this when I was just a kid, My earliest memory of Superman is from this film.(At the begining with the car filling with water and superman rescues the guy trapped inside)
Even though I know this film compared to the previous 2 films is very poor!
I still love it.
And this deluxe version really improves on the crappy release we got back in 2001.
A must have for any Superman fan and the last decent(ish) Christopher Reeve Superman before everything went down the plug hole in the 4th film.
I wanted to give it no stars, but it wouln't let me.......2007-01-21
This is THE worst Superman film ever, it might even be the worst movie ever made!!!! If you want a good superman film DVD collection like I have, here's a list:
Superman: The Movie 4-Disk set
Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut
Superman Returns 2-Disk set
Unfortunatly you get less movies this way, but they're makind a sequal so hopefully it'll be good, however you'll have to wait unyl 2009, so my advice, watch Superman cartoons, read Superman comics, and all that other stuff, then 2009 will be here before you know it! Just don't watch this (and don't watch IV either.)
SuperGREAT.......2007-01-11
Before writing this review, I viewed the others on this page and I am afraid that my view differs greatly from all but one of theirs. When I first saw this movie I was about 4 or 5 and found it to be fun and exciting. In experiencing these four films on DVD in a widscreen movie format as an adult I think Superman 1 through 3 are equally fantastic. What I liked about Superman 3 is precisely what most everyone else seemed to dislike, the lighter more humorous approuch to the story. I thought it was a nice change from the first two films which were very serious, excellent, but serious. It was in the same vain as Star Trek 4 The voyage Home, which was very light, humourous and adventurous. I thought it was a fitting change of pace from the first three, which delt with some very heavy issues as did the first two Superman Films. The new villain in this film was also a nice change, luther had already appeared in the first two, so having superman face off with someone unkown to him was great. I absolutely loved Richard Pryor in this, he was just so funny and his wonderful comic style helped bring a lighter air to this movie. I Agree with the other reviewers that Richard Donner is an excellent director and should not have been replaced, not to take anything way from Mr. Lester who I thought did a great job with Superman 3. I appreacated all of the opinions I read, as a superman fan who takes the quality of the films seriously, it is good to see that there are others as protective of the super film legacy as I.
Thanks for a great Movie Mr. Reeve and Warner Brothers
Superman vs. A.I........2007-01-06
In "Superman III" Superman (Chrisopher Reeve) must battle misguided computer Gus (Richard Pryor) and truelly evil billionaire Ross Webster who use a new kind of artificial intelligence to gain control of the world's oil supply. Meanwhile Clark is back in Smallville romancing young mother and former childhood sweetheart Lana Lang (Annette O'Toole, who ironically plays Martha Kent in "Smallville" TV show).
This is the point in the series when the producers stopped taking Superman seriously. Richard Lester has a reputation in slapstick comedy, and that's where he should have stayed. This movie is too jokey and funny for it's own good. Not that it's all bad, the living computer was a good idea, and I think it was originally supposed to be regular Superman villain Brainiac. And twin Superman was also good, with shades of Bizaro. Too bad they didn't use those villains instead of the Richard Pryor, who is terminally miscast as a supervillian. When Gene Hackman refused to reappear as Lex Luthor they gave the part to Robert Vaughn, not a bad idea, just not right. The battle at the end with the zombie robot was a horrible idea, a scene that is more likely to scare kids than entertain them.
The good things is the sweet relationship between Clark and Lana. It has always been known (even before the show) that Clark still holds a torch for Lana, and this really concretes the idea. Also you can see that while Clark knows the need for Superman, he is also a little tired of his super alter ego, and the twin fight of Clark and Superman is a good example of the internal struggle, actually well done, I must give Lester credit for that much.
Not bad, but the "Superman"series has fallen a long way since "Superman II".
Best Superman movie!.......2006-12-19
This is by far my most favorite superman movie. I've been waiting for 16 years for this "Making of Superman 3" to go on sale officially. I bought this dvd from amazon as soon as it got out and I don't regret it. The picture Quality of the main film seems better on this deluxe edition and the quality of picture on the documentary is superb. In additional scenes there is actually just one scene involving superman, and all the others revolve around richard pryor. Still for any Superman 3 fan this dvd is obligatory.

THE SUPERMAN REEVE SUPERMAN COLLECTION.......2007-05-07
THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST GIFTS THAT SUPERMAN FAN COULD EVER GET. I LOVE IT . THANK YOU
There's still a problem even with replacement disc.......2007-04-23
As many already know Warner set up an exchange program for the first disc in this box set. It seems the origianl theatrical 2.0 (Dolby Surround) mix was not correct but instead a 2.0 verison of the new 5.1. There are many differences between this one and the original 2.0 theatrical one released to theatres upon release. Warner's exchange program was meant to replace those discs with new and corrected ones. After waiting nearly 3 months I was forced to call WB and question where mine was. It was then sent to me overnight. But when it arrived I found the 2.0 mix (simply labled ENGLISH) is defective. In Dolby Surround 2.0 all dialog is meant to be in the center channel. Insead this release has it coming from all speakers, and if you have a 6.1 or 7.1 set-up it get really annoying with an echo. If you need to test your disc go to a scene where there is more dialog and no music and a low amount of sound effects like when Lois interviews Superman. Then compare the way is sounds with SUPERMAN III and SUPERMAN IV, which are both 2.0 Dolby Surround. You will see what I mean. It's a shame that WB has let this sloppy mistake happen - it should be fixed. Since this is a replacement disc I would imagine its the same version in the re-release of the Silver Box Set as well - even in the SUPERMAN:THE MOVIE sold on its own. I've been reviewing film professionally and have been a consultant for home video for 20 years and haven't seen a mistake like this in a long time. I tried to connact Warners several times but no one has returned my calls in the past month. Even the Home theater fourm deleted my postings on this. Having interviewed the film's producer several times I know this soundtrack shouldn't be like this. This film is considered a classic and should have been given better treatment.
Christopher Reeve Superman Collection.......2007-04-11
Great movies, perfect for a rainy weekend. Brings back great memories of a more relaxed time and a wonderful man.
Great movies...POOR presentation.......2007-02-19
Where do i begin? If you don't really want to own the new Superman movie, but just want all the classic Christopher Reeve films, you wuld think this is the best way to do it, right? I mean, it is called the CHRISTOPHER REEVE COLLECTION, isn't it? Yeah, well, you'd be wrong. Why? Read on...
There is a lot of extra content on this box set that is NOT from the Christopher Reeve movies: 17 old cartoons, the 1951 movie with George Reeves, a featurette on the Fleisher Superman....all completely unnecessary. Now, i'm not dissing this content for being present.... i'm dissing this content because this NON-CHRISTOPHER REEVE material is included AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHER GENUINE CHRISTOPHER REEVE CONTENT!
Let's see what is NOT included in this collection:
1) Superman II: Richard Donner cut
2) Superman II: Restoring The Vision featurette
3) Superman II: Richard Donner's commentary
4) You Will Believe: The Cinematic Saga of Superman (includes many details on the production of all 4 Reeve classics)
5) Look, Up In The Sky: The Amazing Story Of Superman
All of the above material contains extensive Christopher Reeve content. Unfortunately, in the "Christopher Reeve Collection," you get plenty of non-Reeve content to take up all the space of what could have been included. I mean, c'mon...17 Superman cartoons? That much material could have been an entire separate DVD release! The George Reeves movie could have been released as a bonus with the old TV show DVD sets.
Well, there is some good news: You CAN get all the above material on the ULTIMATE Superman Collection. Unfortunately, the packaging is flawed. The outer tin often arrives damaged, the inner disc holders break easily, and again, you pay for a lot of things you may not want...such as Superman Returns (which doesn't contain the bonus content you can only get on the Circuit City version). Oh yeah, and not to mention, two of the discs in the Ultimate Edition are wrong, and have to be replaced, AND it's almost impossible to find new, because it's out-of-print! Even if Warner fixes their disc problems with this set, and re-prints it, i'm sure the layout will still be just as poor.
The individual releases of Superman: The Movie & Superman II are the same way. Bonus un-related content, at the expense of much more Christopher Reeve content.
I find this totally ridiculous that they released these movies this way. I guess if you really want them though, THIS SET is certainly the way to go. This set is the same as you would buy them individually, in the same format/cases/layout only at a cheaper price. Then pick up the Richard Donner cut of Superman II separately. I'm going to see if i can download the missing Cinematic Saga of Superman content.
Super Superman Collection.......2007-01-18
Frankly I was not expecting a fantastic collection, technically, as most of the older Superman releases are pre Home Theatre time. However, the transfers were found to be quite good and we had no issue while playing them on multi-channel. With Sci-Fi genre it's actually important you see!
However, IF the viewers compare the audio/video quality of this collection with the latest release (Superman Returns), then they'd definitely be disappointed! As the latest one is simply loaded!
I personally feel that a booklet, paying tribute to Reeve, who had such a terrible end in his real life, must be included! Life's not been fair to him, but the producers can try to be!

Amazon.com
Executive-produced by Superman Returns director Bryan Singer and narrated by star Kevin Spacey, Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman is an exhaustive, nearly two-hour documentary covering over 60 years of the Man of Steel. It begins with the early work of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster leading to the 1938 Action Comics debut of Superman, then continues through the Max Fleischer cartoons, the Columbia serials, to the 1950s Adventures of Superman series and the tragic suicide of its star, George Reeves. Then it's on to the 1966 Broadway musical, the 1970s feature films (including screen tests of Stockard Channing and Lesley Anne Warren), the paralysis and death of star Christopher Reeve, the subsequent TV series Lois & Clark and Smallville, and the 2006 feature Superman Returns. The documentary also discusses Superman's transformations during World War II, the atomic age, and the 1960s; events in the comic books such as John Byrne's reboot and The Death of Superman; and obscurities such as a pilot for The Adventures of Superpup and the TV-musical version of It's a Bird
It's a Plane
It's Superman. Interview subjects range from two-production stars such as Noel Neill and Jack Larson (who were in both Adventures of Superman and Superman Returns), and Annette O'Toole (Superman III and Smallville) to producer Ilya Salkind, director Richard Donner, Margot Kidder, Stan Lee, Dean Cain, and Brandon Routh. The animated series deserves more coverage, and some interviewees are conspicuously absent--no surprise Lois & Clark's Teri Hatcher couldn't find the time, but what about Smallville's Tom Welling?--but overall it's an impressive and engaging examination of the DC Comics icon. --David Horiuchi

Super Documentry.......2007-06-27
There's something inherently cool about Superman, and there always has been. Maybe it's the way his alter ego, Clark Kent, seems like a geeky outsider which finds a lot in common with the general public.
Perhaps it's the kid in all of us which wishes they had the ability to fly, or super human strength, or x-ray vision.
Whatever the case, you're fall into one of two categories. Either you're an obsessive fan who works Superman into each and every one of your works (like comedian Jerry Seinfeld) or you're the casual fan who really enjoys the movies, but doesn't have a shrine dedicated to the hero from planet Krypton (like me.)
From the legends humble beginnings spawned from the imagination of two young guys from Cleveland, Ohio to the pop cultrual phenomenon known worldwide and every place between. This fascinating history of the famed DC comics figure is a visual stunner.
Throughout the years Superman has been a comic book, a cartoon, a movie franchise, a tv show, even a failed broadway musical. He's been taken seriously and ridiculed. He's been praised and balked at.
However, the constant remains, as the viewer witnesses; Superman is what all humans should be. He has morals, and he stands up for all that is right in the world.
I recommend this DVD simply because, like I said, it's fascinating. It's amazing how many actors once portrayed Superman or Lois Lane. Along with the changes and tranformations the comic book and many characters have endured. The tragedies involved with a few (namely George Reeves and Christopher Reeve.)
Watch, and enjoy!

It was very interesting. There were a lot of things I didn't know about the history, but I really liked it overall.
For the Superman Enthusiast.......2007-01-19
Any Superman fan will enjoy this look at all the supermans in cinematic history.
A Tribute to the Man of Steel.......2007-01-04
This DVD covers almost the entire history of Superman. From comics to radio to cartoons to movies. It's thorough and very informative. Guest stars include Billy Mummy, Mark Hammell, Gene Simmons, the original Lois Lane and Jimmy from the George Reeves' Superman show from the fifties, and several more. It keeps your interest and is a must for any Superman or just plain comic book fan of all ages. I highly recommend it.

ultimate for collectors.......2007-06-24
Look up in the sky, it's a bird , it's a plane, it's the best Superman box set any fan could have asked for
The Ultimate Fix for a Superman Junkie!.......2007-06-07
Dear God, this is the set I've been waiting for all my life. I have been in love with the Superman mythos since the first movie way back in 1978. A large part of my love with the character is the complexity given by Christopher Reeve's performance which Brandon Routh aptly carried on. Above all, this set allowed me to finally see the legendary cut scenes from Superman IV (And no, they not only do not improve the movie as urban legend claims but make it worse) as well as Richard Donner's version of Superman II (making me wonder if he'd had the time to do some final reshoots and add that finishing touch what it really could have been). I fell in love with Superman all over again.
Absolutley a must have.......2007-06-04
All I can say is if you are a fan of Superman and in particular the movies this is the set to have. It has everything!
And the Special editions and Donner Cuts are fantastic.
UP, UP, and AWAY!!!.......2007-05-09
Almost everything that is needed to say in this Ultimate Superman Movie Collection have been said -- including the raves and rants. I really don't mind the minor setback on Superman III's sounds and Special Features issues, as the movie is not really that well made and interesting. Unfortunately it is, and will always be, a part of any true Superman movie collector or fan's movie library. All in all, it is a great collection to have, and it is still cheaper to buy it this way than to buy the movies separately, plus you won't get the extra goodies included in this special collection. I ordered mine last November even before it was officially out, and I have no regrets with it so far. The packaging was great, it arrived on time, and the DVD's are in excellent condition.
Superman Superset.......2007-05-06
One of the best box sets ever put together for a film series, and a great price for what you get. Almost worth the price of admission just for the Fleischer cartoons, which are the best transfers available anywhere and looks nearly pristine. Throw away your other versions!

Customer Reviews:
Oh No!!! Superman and Clark Kent.......2006-12-07
This movie is bad, but there is one redeeming plot line - the internal struggel of Superman with his alter-ego, Clark Kent. The personalities split in a junk yard fight that is truly fun and intriging; however, beyond that - the movie is a waist. Richard Pryor is poorly used and Robert Vaugne is too camp.
Energy shortages, Toxic chemicals, and AI monsters........2006-11-08
The opening scene starts with a shot where, Mr. White, and Jimmy busy setup the Travel photo shot - bingo winner promotion at the Daily Planet. Gus Gormon plot to control the weather satellite will spoil the luck winners Wedding trip too South America. Lois is departing for the tropical islands for her next assignment. Clark and Jimmy are on assigned too Smallville to write an article about class reunions, "the prodigal son and his photographer going home".
Gus Gormon is a computer genius. Gus, receives $143.80 a week. Gus invents "Salami Slicing" routing ½ cent unpaid transactions "floating around" in the computer into his expense account. Ross Webster's accountant GL reports trace the 85k of missing to Gus. Ross calls Gus a "naughty genius". Ross never wears the same socks twice. Ross wants Gus to help him to corner the coffee market. Ross tells Gus, jail is for rapist and robbers and the rapist rob the robbers, implying a torturous option for Gus. Russ wants to create an artificial scarcity and control the price of coffee by destroying the Columbia harvests positioning him too "dictate the economy of the free market". How? Russ wants Gus to reprogram the Vulcan satellite to cause weather disturbances: rainy seasons, hurricanes, and tornados, in Columbia. Gus says he will need a small Mickie Mouse terminal to do the work. One is found in the city of Smallville.
Coffee scarcity is short-term, eventually an greenhouse method of supplying coffee would meet world demand. Russ's dream of controlling the free market was a deception.
On bus route to Smallville, a Chemical fire interrupts Jimmy and Clark journey. Jimmy wants exclusive pictures telling Clark, "Danger goes with the territory, Mr. Kent". Clark transforms into superman, the pumphouse fails, and the firemen are without water and the fire threatens a storage unit of corrosive solid acid which is about to become vapor; acid vapor that can eat through steel/everything and destroy all life on earth. Superman blows compressed currents of cooled air at a nearby lake, then he lifts the lake to the fire, and drops it, and the ice changes to water from the heat and extinguishes the flame. One fireman exclaims, "that man is a miracle.
At the reunion, Clark is anti-social and he carries on a dull dialogue with an aged teacher. Clark sees Lana and says, "Lana Lang, it is great to see you!" Lana reciprocates commenting to Clark that this is the first time since the death of his mother that he has returned to Smallville. Brad Wilson wishfully harasses Lana but Lana wards off his social interactions. Lana tells Clark, "I always wished that you would talk to me". In the comic strip, Lana was a insect superhero. Lana envy's Clark's adventures in Metropolis calling it the "the big apricot". Lana says, "Clark you never married", "I guess that's one that got away". Clark learns that Lana has a son name Rickie. Lana feels sorry for Rickie telling Clark, Rickie is the "only kid in town without a father". Lana invites Clark to Rickies birthday party and the group bowling activity. Rickie is a terrible bowler. Brad steps in and wants to showup Clark, embarrass Rickie, and overpower Lana bragging to Clark that he is a champion. Clark bowls a strike that destroys all the pins.
Gus reprograms the Vulcan satellite too cause a five years coffee crop recovery by a 250 mile/hour hurricane. Gus complains to Russ that just as the destruction started "Superman began doing his thing", "Superman is bad". Russ brainstorms and decides he wants to create an oil shortage. Russ wants Gus to reprogram the computer telling the oil tankers to converge at a certain place in the Atlantic Ocean. Gus needs to stop Superman. What can stop Superman? Kryponite. Gus says, the planet Krypton blew up; there is Krypton debris floating around in space; and Gus can use the Vulcan lasers to analyze the composition of Kryponite and synthetically reproduce it on earth. Gus wants to share in the profits telling Russ, "I'm not making enough money for this gig". Gus has manufactured a near perfect replicate of Kryptonite but 5% is an unknown element. Smallville mayor awards Superman the key to the city of Smallville. Gus impersonating a General offers Superman the Kryptonite replica, but no effects are visible. Eventually, Superman becomes evil from the influence of the Rock. Gus convinces Russ to build a supercomputer that can think. Gus uses the computer to order all the oil tankers to the Altantic, command the pumps to stop pumping, and cause irreversible damage to the computer systems. The 1970s resent of the rich oil companies is rhetorically eluded too: "Someone is always getting richer", "who suffers?", "the Small guy". Rickie yells at the evil superman, "tell them you will be getting better", "your just in a slump", and "you'll be great again". Superman recovers, defeats Gus's supercomputer that can find anyone's weak spot, and restores oil back to an energy-starved world.
SUPERMAN III.......2006-09-13
After the brilliant first two films there was alot of pressure for the Salkind Brothers to produce another great Superman film but sadly in Superman III's case it failed & quite miserably.
The main problem lies with the script, the arch villain Ross Webster could have been stopped by the FBI with his plan for an oil monopoly so why on earth would he be a true villain to Superman is anyone's guess.
Even the supercomputer, just send a few F15 bombers & lets see how its super defence deals with that.
The only true challenge for Superman comes in the middle of the movie & that was with his evil alter ego & should (I believe someone said this earlier) have been the main story instead of this silly super computer story.
Although there were some problems concerning pre production (Margot Kidder had a row with The Producers & therefore only appears for around five minutes in this film) but the casting of Annette O' Toole didn't really affect the film as she's one of the stories strongest characters.
Apart from the Superman Vs Clark fight, & the Lana & Clark scenes, there is not much worth watching & the title joke sequence at the beginning is really cheesey.
And Richard Prior in any film let alone a Superman film is a big enough joke.
GREAT STAND UP COMEDIAN!!!!!
AWFUL ACTOR!!!!
Neurons in rest!.......2006-08-14
The script is extremely pretentious, although the charismatic presence of Richard Pryor be the dramatic axis as the computer wiz who will alter the normal coordinates of a world in progress.
As comedy it's Ok.
Super Junk.......2006-08-04
I saw this as a kid, and thought it was kind'a dumb. Years later, when I saw the Superman Collection, I thought to myself, maybe it wasn't that bad, I was only a kid, so maybe I just didn't get some of it. Well it happened to be on TV last night, so I watched it. What a piece of junk. The acting was so bad, the special effects look like they were produced in the special ed class. They tried adding humor, but the slapstick was so lame it wasn't even funny. It was a total waste of time, even for a fan. I happened to love the first 2, they were awesome, so how did this end up such a piece of garbage? For instance, he uses his super breath to freeze a lake top so he can carry it over to put out a fire. Why didn't he just use his super breath to blow out the fire in the first place? Yeah lot of half thought stuff slapped together.
Anyway, I haven't seen Superman 4, but I hear it's the worst of the bunch. If that's the case, I'm not sure I even want to see it. So I would recommend buying Superman 1&2 separately for something like $26 total, and save your self from the collection.

Description
Filmed in Hi-Definition, this feature-length documentary focuses on how and where Hollywood celebs have died, humorously led by Hollywood historian Scott Michaels (E!'s "25 Most Horrifying Hollywood Murders," Dearly Departed Tours, FindADeath.com). The film features 18 profiles, with modern-day visits to the real L.A. locations where the action went down (over 50 locations in all), as well as historical footage, photographs, death certificates and autopsy reports, all supported by meticulously researched details and interviews. Dearly Departed is entertaining, funny, shocking, and loaded with surprising revelations that shed new light on even the most well-known stories, and bring some of the more obscure tales to the screen for the first time ever. The DVD also contains a 15-minute bonus video of Scott Michaels' annual presentation to Hollywood Underground in October 2006.

Delicious Dearly Departed: Hopefully not just volume one.......2007-03-30
Having been a fan of Scott Michaels' website for a few years, I was delighted when he released this DVD.Living in the UK, I went online, ordered and waited with baited breath until it dropped through my mailbox. Was it worth the wait? The answer is a most definate, YES!
Packed with fascinating insights into not only the deaths of the Stars but of their lives too, this is a delicious drive through the rich and famous from where they liked to hang out to where they died. Listening to the commentary, you can tell that not only does Mr Micheals loves what he does but that as he puts it.. "Gets it"
We see inside famous death scenes, hear what the autopsy report has to say and then see the death certificate.Be outraged as we hear about The Ambassador Hotel and see what became of this beautiful, historic building. Chuckle as you listen to Scott's opinions as we visit the Bat Cave and view the Hollywood sign (as you've never seen it)
For me, the segment where you see Marilyn Monroe's house, just to glimpse that famous window to her bedroom is worth the price of this DVD alone.
I could sit here and rave on and on about this DVD but instead I will say this: If you want a hugely entertaining, funny, clever and very well crafted afternoons viewing that you will never tire of watching then buy this DVD now. Hopefully Volume two will be released soon, in the mean time I will have to settle for this viewing. Don't delay....
Excellent! A "Must Have!".......2007-02-26
I strongly recommend this DVD to anyone interested in Hollywood history. Scott Michaels is an excellent host and he reveals some of the darker stories that come from Hollywood. He does so with a sense of humor, but never out of disrespect. Some of the images can be disturbing, so I would not recommend this DVD for young children or those who get upset easily.
Scott takes you to the locations where some of the Hollywood famous died and gives accurate information. Michaels has done his research very well. This DVD is a great addition to anyone who has been able to go on the tour itself and would also be good for those who do not live close enough to Hollywood to do so.

Customer Reviews:
Nice Movie Bad Price.......2007-06-25
whoever watches this movie and is a horror fanatic should be delighted with Saw, Saw II, and Saw III. I just love it when a person has to cut off their leg to escape a trap. And Unlike any other horror movie, this movie has a plot that doesn't just die after the first movie. However I have given this 6-disc collection 3 stars mainly because of the price. Whoever is selling these dvds you need to realize that the price is a little hefty. Say if a person bought all 3 of the 2-disc collections separately on Amazon. Their total would be:
Saw: $9.99
Saw II: $14.99
Saw III:+$39.99
=$64.97
And you get them new. The $79.99 one is used. The new one is $99.99. you would be spending $35.02 more! I would consider reducing the price down to about at least $55 or $60. But that's the only problem. Great movies though.

Lois & Clark (Seasons 1 & 2) from Warner Bros........2006-11-06
Very, very nice!
The subject is a charming television series that is presented in DVD format by Warner Bros. The menus are easy to navigate, slick and stylish. Picture and sound quality are excellent.
FirstTime.......2006-03-09
Its was surprisingly good. Although I am not a fan of Teri Hatcher but enjoy the show.
A lighter Superman.......2006-02-25
I never watched the Lois and Clark series when it was first on, and discovering these discs after watching a few years of Smallville is quite refreshing. Don't get me wrong; I LOVE Smallville, but Lois and Clark is definitely a happier sort of Superman series. While Smallville portrays the angst of growing up, and, indeed, growing up "different", the Superman of Lois and Clark is more about hope. About making a life and making a difference with that life. A little closer to the old "truth, justice and the American Way" that was so much a part of the 1950's George Reeves' Superman.
I highly recommend these to any Superman fan--they HAVE to be part of your collection. And, for others that might not know Superman too well, this is a GREAT way to get a feel for the character. An ongoing series that allows characters to develop is so much more intriguing than what can be portrayed in an hour and a half movie!
Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman - The Complete First Two Seasons (12pc).......2006-02-23
For fans of Lois and Clark it was a trip down memory lane!!! i loved the fact that you can buy the 2 seasons together but i can't wait to get the next 2 seasons. if you are a fan of smallville and you were too young for lois and clark it is worth a look. (and Dean Cain is so cute as superman/clark aswell!)
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman Season 1 and 2 SUPER-PACK.......2005-11-03
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman is my favorite show of all time. The show was on for four seasons from 1993-1997. What made this show so special was the great chemistry Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher had on screen along with a great supporting cast. I was a huge fan watching the first episode in the fall of 1993 (I was 16 years old) and never missed an episode. When the last episode aired in 1997 (I was 20 years old) I was sad because like so many other reviewers I grew up with this show and it was a huge part of my life. I remember every Sunday night I would look so forward to seeing Lois & Clark. Me and my best friend Maria would talk about the show the next day and say how we had so many similarities to these characters. I am so happy that that the fans are finally getting a DVD release of all four seasons of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. This show means so much to so many people because it was a good show that lasted longer than anyone ever imagined it would. Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman Season 2 DVD set will be released January 17th, 2006. Own the first 2 seasons of Lois & Clark and you will have a super time watching this awesome show that ended far too soon.
