Bruce Willis's awful, 1991 vanity piece is an abuse of audience goodwill and a waste of a good cast and director (Michael Lehmann of Heathers). The story, cowritten by Willis, concerns a cat burglar pressured into stealing precious art, including some from the Vatican. But the script is just a convenience upon which Willis piles his vaguely boorish brand of hip irony, assuming his audience will stay with him every step of the way. Certain, self-congratulatory scenes induce cringing--Willis and Danny Aiello, for instance, sing "Side by Side" (to brassy accompaniment on the soundtrack) every time they're working a job--but the overall effect is more irritating and baffling. Keep a good thought for Willis (an underrated actor better than the summer junk we usually see him in) by checking out his superior work in Pulp Fiction and his small but memorable role in Billy Bathgate. --Tom Keogh

"BUNNY!! BALL, BALL!!!".......2007-07-01
Hudson Hawk has cult movie written all over it. Bruce Willis and Danny Aiello have a blast making robberies while singing show tunes. It put me in the spirit of the movie and I enjoyed myself. Everybody in the cast overacts but that didn't bother me at all. This is the kind of movie that after years pass will be considered a cult classic. Check out Hudson Hawk if you want to have a good time. Because like all the best films, you have to suspend your belief in reality to make it work and this movie is fantasy on a whole new level.
Ok, I be real honest with you folks. This is one of the greatest movies ever... I am craving a cappuccino as I write this... Go and watch the film. In fact i'll watch it with you. And if you don't like it you can... what's that??? Speak up guy in the second row!!! Say it again! So ever one can hear you... Oh for god sake!! IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT GET THE F#@K OUT!!!
Hudson Hawk is an amazing movie!.......2007-06-28
haha Danny Aiello singing swinging on a star! Bruce Willis! the captain steeling wheel in the bar! The thumb cuffs! Leonardo Davinci flying machine scene! Butterfingers! The ambulance scene! The scene where they are numb on the couch and can't move hahah! Leonardo DaVinci broken horse statue! Richard E Grant and Sandra Burnhart! HAHAHA to many good things about this movie
ridiculously funny wierd film that I can always enjoy
All he wanted was a simple cappuchino!.......2007-06-13
It is an okay movie. Definitely not a family show. The language is really bad. It did have some funny parts though. The camaraderie between the main two characters keeps you rolling. One man just wanted a cappuchino and another just wanted to rule the world.
Incredible Humor.......2007-04-10
Hudson Hawk is an incredible film that is widely immitated and emulated in different forms and incarnations, but is a singularly hillarious film. Elements of the DaVinci Code, Alias, and modern action-slapstick comedies can be traced back to this gem of a film.
If you like films that mix tones: comedy, action, drama, mystery, etc. then Hudson Hawk is the perfect film for you.
YOU CAN SEE THE JOKES COMING A MILE AWAY ZZZzzzzzzzzZZzzzzz!.......2007-03-16
My friend felt I needed to see this film, so he lent it to me. I had never seen it before and after 15 minutes I was telling my wife who was watching with me, what was about to happen next. The jokes are so old and tired I couldn't believe they were using them! I would rather watch the Three Stooges(Not that there is anything wrong with that!)At least the Stooges are really old classic shorts that were making history. The comparison to the Stooges is that the jokes in this movies are as old as the jokes in the Stooges shorts. This movie just isn't very good and isn't very funny unless you think a person slipping on a banana peel or a pie in the face is funny?...HEE HEE HEE HAW HAW!!!

Laugh Out Loud Ridiculous.......2006-07-13
I've read reviews saying this movie was one of the dumbest ever, and it was a major blockbuster flop! But it still makes me laugh out loud every time I watch it. Its got comedy, suspense, romance and musical numbers? *LOL Don't be too harsh when going in to see this and remember its not an Oscar winner. If you're looking for a movie to watch that definately doesn't take itself serious, this is the movie for you.
The best unappreciated movie of the 90s.......2006-07-12
This film is just about perfect. You either "get it", or you don't. I never write reviews for these films, but I noticed people dissing the film, and I had to comment. "Hudson Hawk" is brilliant. It is, dare I say it, the "Buckaroo Banzai" of the 1990s. Catch the Hawk!
This movie is so bad, I love it.......2006-06-27
It was horrible, but worth the watch for the entertainment value alone. It' so out there that you laugh at the script,
it's so bad, it's funny,
Hudson Hawk.......2006-05-30
