Anachronism is a sensually gritty collection of poetry that is filled with sincerity, anger, trauma...Matteucci holds nothing back. The poems are filled with a distinctly strong and beautiful personality. Words are used as weapons against injustice and superficiality and shallowness, as well as healing against trauma and pain. This book is defintely recommended to lovers of "real" and captivating words.

In a matter of one reading, she has made it on my personal favorites list.

Anachronism is a timeless tale of the highs and lows of living told in a way that will leave you with goosebumps. Truly an original book of poetry, Anachronism is far ahead of it's time. I noticed that this book was published before September 11th and Anachronism plays out almost like a prediction of sorts. The bottom line is that this book is a fantastic peice of work that should not be overlooked.

I started off skeptical as I do when any book gets rave reviews but Anachronism delivers. Upon my second reading of the book I realize there was much that I missed. This is one of those books of poetry that you can find something to relate to, your experiences, your fears and things that you always wanted to say but didn't have the guts. Certainly destended to become a cult classic with dark poetry lovers.

Absolutely amazing. Certainly not for the faint of heart. Gripping, suspenseful from start to finish. For anyone who has been through anything painful you can find endless of poems to relate to. I appreciate when a writer doesn't hold back and Marie Matteucci is unstoppable. Note to readers, get a dictionary along with this book. You'll need it.
